Ayla meets Synergy 1/2
Note: These next two chapters are going to be about Ayla meeting someone that is going to give her a big advantage in all future movies.
(Third-Person POV)
*It was a beautiful summer morning in Green Hills, Montana. A 5 yr old boy (look up "Jamie Seaver" on "Disney Wiki") was riding his bike towards a house at the end of a long driveway (look up "Wachowski Residence" on "Sonic The Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Wiki"). A long plastic horn was sticking out of his backpack. Once he was in front of the house, got off his bike & blew the horn. A blue female anthropomorphic hedgehog (15 years old) with peach skin, green eyes, & wearing her pajamas came from behind the house with a golden retriever next to her*
(Ayla's POV)
*I groggily stepped to the front of the house with Ozzy next to me to see who was responsible for the rude awakening*
Ayla:*groan* Bobby, it's five in the morning. We're still sleeping.
Bobby: But I need Ozzy. We've gotta practice. It's today! *I turned to Ozzy & nudged my head towards him. he ran towards the kid, who petted him on the head* Good boy.
*He was borrowing Ozzy for an event at the Green Hills Summer Fair, which was opening today. His family dog, a collie named Jezebel, hurt her leg a few weeks ago & Maddie put her on bed rest. She wasn't going to be completely healed until after the event, so he wanted to borrow Ozzy. Everyone else poked their heads out of the upstairs & attic windows as Bobby rode away on his bike with Ozzy next him*
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, outside of town, a truck with a toilet on top drove past the "Welcome Green Hills" sign. Inside was a tall skinny guy with a mustache (look up "Doug" on "Air Bud Wiki") & a short fat guy (look up "Gordan" on "Air Bud Wiki")*
Jasper: I told you, Horace. This road takes us straight to Green Hills.
Horace: I don't know, Jasper. I think we're lost.
Jasper: There it is. "Welcome to Green Hills."
*They drove through town until they stopped in front of a big yellow building (look up "Fernfield Community Town Hall" on "Air Bud Wiki") & got out*
Jasper: So, remember Horace, we're pretending to be plumbers. We've got the truck, the uniforms, they'll totally fall for it, and as soon as their backs are turned, the jewel'll be ours.
Horace: You are so good!
*They grabbed their equipment & went inside. They were greeted by a fat male security guard (look up "Phil (Spikes Back)" on "Air Bud Wiki"), who was munching on a donut, came out to greet them*
Ron: What a fluke that you two plumbers showed up. It's like you have E.S.P. or something. I was just about to call the boys at Greenfield Plumbing. You guys new in town? It's starting to smell really bad in there. Course you guys are used to this, I'm sure. But with the jewel arriving, what not, we can't have the bathroom smelling like . . . *he opened the men's room door, letting our a really bad smell. Horace & Jasper put clothespins on their noses while Horace checked over of the toilets with a plunger* I may have tributed a little.
*Just then, his walkie-talkie turned on*
Security Guard:*off-screen* Come in, Ron. The jewel is arriving in one minute. Over.
*He brought out his walkie-talkie*
Ron: I'm sorry, guys. I'm gonna have to leave you to it.
Horace: No prob. We're fine.
*Ron left the room. As soon as he was gone, they bolted from the room. Then they peered from behind a corner as Ron ran down the hall, talking frantically into his walkie-talkie*
Jasper: Okay. Get ready.
*Outside, an armored truck pulled up outside the museum. One guard kept a watchful eye while two others brought a steel lock-box out of the truck & carried it inside*
*Horace & Jasper watched the guards as they carried the box down the museum halls. They ducked back inside the bathroom as they came towards them*
Jasper: As soon as they leave, we'll just grab it.
*The guards, with Ron behind them, carried the box through the museum, with Horace & Jasper watching them, until they came to a stand at the center of the big room next to the bathroom. Then one of the guards opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond (look up "Jewel of Eternity" on "Air Bud Wiki"). Ron was in awe when he saw it. So much, that he almost dropped his donut*
Ron: What a beauty.
*The guard placed the diamond on the stand, Horace & Jasper still watching. They ducked back into the bathroom, completely speechless. Then they poked out again once the guards were gone. Jasper checked around the corner behind them & they slowly made their way into the room. Suddenly, red lasers appeared all over the room, blocking their path to the diamond. Jasper was so frustrated by this, he threw his gloves down*
Jasper: Why me!?
*He fell to his stomach & cried. Horace joined him*
Horace: It's okay. It's okay.
*Just then, Jasper noticed an air vent in the wall*
Jasper: Horace. Look. *Horace looked where he was looking* The vent. *they both crawled towards it & saw more vents going along the wall* It leads right to the jewel.
Horace: That's a good idea, Jasper. But I don't think any of us are gonna fit in this.
Jasper: Well then we'll have to find someone who can.
(Ayla's POV)
*Later that day, me, Sonic, Tails', & Knuckles were up on a building watching the Green Hills Summer Fair (look up "Fernfield Summer Fair" on "Air Bud Wiki"). We weren't going to be able to go for real because of all the tourists visiting. But Tom did promise to get us each a prize*
Sonic: You see them?
*Tails was scanning the crowd through some binoculars*
Tails: Not yet. Oh, wait! I see them! They're heading to the area for the race.
Knuckles: Excellent. Let us follow so we watch Ozzy utterly destroy his opponent.
Ayla:*giggle* Knuckles, he's competing in a race, not a gladiator fight.
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Horace & Jasper were walking through the fair. Horace was holding a giant stuffed frog under one arm. Just then they saw Tom & Maddie walking towards them, Tom in his Sheriff uniform*
Jasper: The Sheriff! Quick, duck in here!
*He ducked behind the cotton candy stand*
Horace: But we haven't done anything wrong yet, Jasper.
*Jasper ignored him & pulled him behind the stand*
(Ayla's POV)
Announcer: Now it's time for highlight of the afternoon, the annual Canine Obstacle Course. *Bobby was checking his stopwatch* This event is generously supported by Tilly's Dairy Barn and will, as custom, be commentated on by it's ever popular owner, Norbert Tilly.
*Norbert Tilly, a fat man (look up "Norbert Tilly" on "Air Bud Wiki"), was talking to one of the fair staff*
(Third-Person POV)
*Horace & Jasper pushed their way to the front of the crowd to watch the race*
(Ayla's POV)
Ayla: Hey, look! Ozzy's up!
*Most of the crowd was cheering for Ozzy*
Norbert Tilly: And the next dog up is Ozzy Wachowski, coached Bobby Finch. He'll race against last year's champion Scooby the Great Dane. Alright. Owners, unleash your dogs!
Bobby: You ready, Ozzy?
*Ozzy gave a little bark*
Norbert Tilly: On your mark. *Bobby got his stopwatch ready* Get set. *Ozzy got ready* Go! *Ozzy took off like a shot with Scooby close behind him* And they're off!
*Both dogs jumped through rings & then weaved through poles*
Bobby: Go, Ozzy.
*Then the dogs went over ramps & through tunnels*
Ayla: Go, Ozzy! Go!
Tails: You can do it!
Sonic: Faster! Faster!
Knuckles: Destroy that dog!
Ayla: Uh . . . How about we keep the destroying out of this.
Norbert Tilly: And look at them go!
Bobby: Come on, Ozzy!
*The dogs went through another tunnel before they each grabbed a tennis ball. Ozzy got his first, but Scooby fumbled his. Then they jumped over & went under hurtles. Scooby knocked one of the hurtles down, which cost him a penalty. Then Ozzy reached the finish line, bringing Bobby the ball. Everyone cheered*
(Third-Person POV)
*Horace & Jasper were amazed by what they saw*
Jasper: Did you see the way he went through that tunnel and under those hurtles? That dog may be the key -
Horace: - To getting that jewel.
Horace & Jasper: We've gotta get that dog!
(Ayla's POV)
*Everyone gathered for the awards ceremony. Scooby got a red ribbon for second place*
Norbert Tilly: Your ribbons. *he gave Ozzy & Bobby blue ribbons* Your trophy. *he gave Bobby a trophy with a gold dog on it. then he held up an envelope* The Grand prize. A summer's worth of free ice cream coupons from my ice cream shop. Tilly's Dairy Barn!
*Bobby gasped & I could see Ozzy licking his lips as Norbert handed Bobby the envelope*
Bobby: Did you hear that, Ozzy!? A simmer of free ice cream!
*Ozzy barked*
*We, the Wachowski family, smiled with pride*
*Later, we all had a barbecue at the Finch house to celebrate. Ozzy got extra hot dogs*
*The next day, an elderly woman with red hair (look up "Gram Gram" on "Air Bud Wiki") & a green & red parrot on her shoulder (look up "Polly" on "Air Bud Wiki") arrived at our house. This was Tom's Mom, Jill. She was staying with us for a few weeks while her house was getting fumigated. Sonic & I met her shortly after Tom & Maddie took us in. She's the sweetest lady you'll ever meet, but not the best cook*
Grandma Wachowski: Thank you so much for helping me out, Tommy boy.
Tom: Oh, it's no problem, Mom.
*Then she noticed me & Sonic*
Grandma Wachowski: Oh, there're my favorite hedgehogs. *she hugged us* How are you both?
Ayla: Fine, Grammie.
*That's what she insists on calling us*
Sonic: Great.
*Then she noticed Tails & Knuckles*
Grandma Wachowski:
Tails: Nice to meet you, Mrs. Wachowski.
Knuckles: A pleasure, Grandma Wachowski.
Grandma Wachowski: Oh, no need to be so formal. You boys can just call me Grammie. And look who's in here to meet you.
Polly: Squawk! Look Who's here.
*Polly was Grandma's pet parrot. She takes him everywhere*
Tom: Okay, everybody, let's just grab something. *we each carried piece of Grandma's luggage into the house. Ozzy picked up Grammie's make-up bag* Come on, everyone, let's get everything upstairs.
*She was staying in one of the guest rooms*
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Horace & Jasper had their truck parked outside Tilly's Dairy Barn*
Jasper: That kid and his dog will show up here. What kid wouldn't. He's got a whole book of ice cream coupons.
*He took a bite of his pizza slice & burnt his tongue*
Horace: I wish I had a book of ice cream coupons.
(Ayla's POV)
*Once Grandma was settled in, the Wachowski family, minus Grandma, had a meeting in the kitchen*
Maddie: Now, let's be sure to help Grammie with whatever she needs. Remember, she's a real softie, or don't try to get away with too much when we're not around, right. *she turned to Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles* Boys, that goes for you too. You can't have chili dogs, grapes, and Doritos for every meal.
*Sonic crossed his fingers behind his back*
Ayla:*whispering* I saw that!
Tom: Okay, and let's remember my Mom is not the greatest cook in the world, so let's be really sensitive, because she tries really really hard.
Ayla: We'll eat everything, Tom. Except the cauliflower cupcakes.
*Sonic & Tails made a face & Ozzy whined, while Knuckles looked confused*
Grandma Wachowski:*off-screen* Ahem!
*We all flinched & turned around, seeing Grammie in the kitchen*
Tom: Mom! The kids were just saying how much they're looking forward to your cooking.
Grandma Wachowski: Very good. Well, I have a batch of cauliflower cupcakes ready for the oven.
*The guys & I all stuck out our tongues in disgust. Ozzy covered his eyes with his paws*
Tom: Yummy!
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Horace & Jasper were still waiting outside Tilly's Dairy Barn. Horace was eating some ice cream & Jasper was sleeping. Just then, he saw Bobby walking down the street*
Horace: Jasper, wake up! There he is!
*Jasper woke up & saw Bobby walking into the ice cream shop, but Ozzy wasn't with him*
Jasper: Wait. Where's the dog?
Horace: Maybe he's back at home.
Jasper: Well, sooner or later, he's got to bring that dog with him, and we'll be ready to nab him!
(Ayla's POV)
*The next day, me & my friends, Tyler (look up "Jay" on "Disney Wiki"), Izzy (look up "Cece Jones" on "Disney Wiki"), & Jake (look up "Luke Ross" on "Disney Wiki"), were hanging out at the abandoned radio station. It was now our secret hangout, which we have been fixing up with money we had earned from doing odd jobs around town. Bobby had also donated his ice cream money to us after he won those free ice cream coupons*
*You're all probably wondering how I met Tyler, Izzy, & Jake. It was shortly after Sonic & I became known in Green Hills. They were the town outcasts, as the kids people always think will cause trouble because the way they look. Because of this, they became my radio show's most frequent callers. When my real identity was revealed, they came to me, asking if they could work as my assistants for the radio show. I turned them down, saying I'd rather have us just be friends, which they agreed. And since then, we've been best friends*
*Anyway, we were spending the day just lounging around. I was also hiding from Grammie & her cooking. So we're Sonic & Tails. Sonic was doing laps around the world & Tails was working in his hidden lab on a new invention. Surprisingly, Knuckles was the only one who actually liked her cooking. He's been the only eating all the cauliflower cupcakes she makes*
Izzy: Well, now that we've finally got the place fixed up, what should we do now?
Jake: You mean besides get ready for the next radio show?
Izzy: Yes. Other than that.
Tyler: Why don't we put on another concert. With fireworks and confetti.
Izzy: Bro, we can't. Or have you already forgotten what happened during the talent show last month.
Tyler: Oh yeah.
Ayla: Well, we have to think of something. Ever since Eggman disappeared, as much as I hate to admit, I've missed all the action.
*I learned against the wall & I suddenly fell backwards with a yelp*
(Third-Person POV)
Izzy: Huh? Ayla? Where'd you go?
Ayla:*off-screen* I'm here!
Tyler: Where here?
Ayla:*off-screen* I'm inside the wall! There's a secret passage!
Jake: Huh?
(Ayla's POV)
*Tyler, Izzy, & Jake followed my voice until they reached the wall & fell inside*
Izzy: Whoa!
Tyler: Has this been here the whole time?
Jake: I can't believe we've never found it.
Ayla: Well, we have now, so what do you say we check it out?
Tyler, Izzy, & Jake: Yeah!
*We out out our flashlights & went through the hologram wall. Then we went down a long spooky hallway. We soon found ourselves in another room, which was covered in dust & cobwebs. In the center was a computer-like device (look up "Synergy/Gallery" on "Jem Wiki"), also covered in dust & cobwebs*
Tyler: Wow. Talk about ancient. This thing looks like it hasn't been used in years.
Izzy: I wonder how you turn it on.
*We looking around the computer. Just then, a compartment on the console & there was a piece of paper inside. I opened it & all that was written on it was three words*
Ayla: Hmm . . . Show time, Synergy.
*Suddenly, the computer turned on & a purple lady (look up "Synergy" by "lilmiss-sailorenigma" on "Deviantart")*
Ayla: Who, or what are you?
Synergy: I am Synergy. A Holographic Computer designed and created by Emmett Benton to be the ultimate audio visual entertainment synthesizer.
Izzy: Emmett Benton? The Founder of the Starlight Music and the Starlight Foundation?
Synergy: Yes. He spent years developing me. I can generate completely realistic 3D holograms. Like this. *a life sized hologram of me appeared next to me* And I can change your appearances. Like this.
*A beam hit Izzy & she turned into Luke*
Izzy: Eek!
Luke:*laugh* Lookin' good, sis.
*Then he turned into Jake*
Izzy: Now that's an improvement. *then Jake turned into Izzy* But that's even better.
*Then they turned back to normal*
Synergy: I can also create holograms outside of this room. With these.
*A compartment on her computer opened & a pair of pink star earrings (look up "Jemstar Earrings" on "Jem Wiki") were inside*
Ayla: Earrings?
Synergy: These are my Remote Micro Projectors. Through them, I can create any hologram you desire out in the outside world.
Ayla: This is all so incredible! But why didn't Mr. Benson or his family ever reveal you to the world?
Synergy: As Mr. Benton worked on developing me, he began to realize how dangerous I could be if I ever fell into the wrong hands. When he realized that he didn't have long to live, he began making plans for his family's future. Creating the miro projectors and leaving his two daughters, Jerrica & Kimber, me to look after them. I revealed myself to them after he passed away. For many years, they and I, along with their friends, had many musical adventures together. But as the years past, the girls were getting older & technology was getting more advanced, making it easier and easier for the government to find me. Jerrica knew that she couldn't keep me active anymore, so with a heavy heart, she shut me down and left me hear, in the hope that someone would find me and keep me safe.
Ayla: And . . . You think we could do it.
Synergy: Of course. I can sense that you are trustworthy children. In fact, you remind me very much of Jerrica, her sister, and her friends when they were young. I just know you'll use my powers for good and protect me from those who would use me for evil purposes.
*All four of us went quiet for a minute*
Ayla: Uh . . . Could you give us a minute to discuss this.
Synergy: Of course.
*The four of us huddled together*
Ayla:*whispering* So, what do you guys think?
Tyler:*whispering* It's a computer that makes real life holograms! We have to say yes.
Izzy:*whispering* Duh. With this, we can really do something worthwhile for this town.
Jake:*whispering* Yeah. And Synergy would be a big help if Robotnik ever came back.
Ayla:*whispering* Then we're all in agreement.
Tyler, Izzy, & Jake:*whispering* Right.
*We a turned back to Synergy*
Ayla: Okay, we'll take care of you. But do you think I could use the earrings' blue prints to make something a little more my style? Those earrings aren't really me.
*A compartment in her computer opened, revealing rolled up pieces of paper*
*For the next few weeks, using the blueprints Synergy lent me, I made a wristwatch (look up "Futuristic wrist watch" by "Pickgameru" the "Deviantart"), that would be able to project Synergy's holograms in the outside world. I also gave Synergy a new look (look up "Synergy (comics)" on "Jem Wiki"). I also fix Synergy's computer with more advanced technology that will hid her from the military & have more options for holograms. I had also been practicing with Synergy, creating holograms & what to say when I need to create & make holograms disappear. I also had to think about if I was going to tell my family about her or not*
(Third-Person POV)
*Meanwhile, Horace & Jasper were still waiting outside of Tilly's Dairy Barn in their truck. Bobby walked towards the shop, but the dog with him was Jezebel, who's leg was healed*
Jasper: That's wrong dog! Does he have two!?
Horace: Actually, Jasper, I looked it up. Turns out that golden retriever belongs to the town Sheriff.
*He showed a picture on his phone of Tom & Maddie with Ozzy*
Jasper: And you couldn't have looked that up sooner, you idiot!?
Horace: Sorry, sorry! What are we gonna do, Jasper? The diamond is only going to be in town for one more week.
*Jasper went quiet*
Jasper: Looks like we're going to have to go after the Sheriff's dog.
