Chapter 0: Introduction

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! It's been a while since I've written fanfiction—probably not since high school. Well… here I am again!

So, what are you about to read? I've recently gotten back into My Hero Academia, and in between novels, I thought, why not? I've had an OC on my mind for a while, and I figured some people out there might enjoy reading about them. I know, I know—another no-name fanfic writer coming in with their OC. Boring and unoriginal, right?

BUT!

I am actually a published author, so I can at least promise that I know my grammar and punctuation... mostly. My editor usually catches any tense slips, so I apologize if one or two slip through here. I'm not perfect, but compared to some of the stuff out there, I hope this will be a notch above average.

Secondly, I know what you're thinking: Here comes another shy, bland OC with no unique qualities. Well, that's not what I'm aiming for. If a character doesn't feel unique, I don't see much point in writing them. So, you can count on that here.

Now that I'm done with my little intro, there are a few things I should mention before we start the story.

First, I'm running U.A. as a college and aging up all the characters accordingly. Since most of the students in the show are minors, let's be honest—it gets a little sus sometimes. And since there will be romance in this story, everyone here is aged up to eighteen or nineteen. If that bothers you, I'm just going to say… it sounds like you might be the one being a little sus. I don't care what Japan's laws are.

Secondly, my OC will be replacing Rikido, aka Sugar Rush. He doesn't do much in the series, and something about his character design makes me uncomfortable. So, my apologies to all three Sugar Rush fans out there!

2/10/2025 Update:

So, I can feel my hyperfixation waning, and I don't know if I can complete this fanfiction to the end. The reason why I say anything is so people just jumping into the story won't get too attached.

I may post more, but those chapters will be few and far between. Thank you for all who sent me messages and reviews. If I get another unsolicited art ad I am going to scream.
