"So where should we be meeting Jeb exactly?" Rosa asked, as the group walked through downtown Driftveil City.
"I'm not sure, I'm just hoping him and Braviary are okay." Ash admitted. "We need to go somewhere he'd know to look for me though."
"Like the Pokemon Center?" N asked.
"I'm thinking something a bit more my speed." Ash said. "Remember the cold storage?"
"Hard to forget that encounter." Elliot reminded.
"You weren't in danger then, Hugh and I had everything under control. Anyways they finished construction there, and now there's a huge battle dome in its place." Ash said.
"Good place to blend in if you're hiding." Rosa realized.
"And a great place to look for a strong trainer." Ash pointed out. "And that's the plan. They have an opening tournament going on soon, a Junior World Cup."
"And going to a tournament like that would mean that other strong trainers would be gathered in the event of another fight against Team Rocket." N realized.
"Bingo." Ash replied with enthusiasm. "Now come on I want to sign up early! Another win under my belt would be great to have!"
"Something tells me he was planning on this, regardless of Team Rocket having shown up." Elliot commented.
"More than likely." N added, the trio following Ash towards the battle dome.
Inside the domes waiting area
"Alright, four contestants, wait no sorry N doesn't have any Pokemon left, so three contestants." Ash corrected himself.
"I'm good sitting this one out." Rosa admitted.
"Same here." Elliot added. "I'd rather be able to watch and learn from all the battles."
"But I already grabbed the forms." Ash said with a sigh.
"I'll take one." A girl with blue hair said, from behind Ash's companions.
"If you've got a third I'll take the other." A guys voice said as the duo approached.
"Brock! Dawn! What are you two doing here?!" Ash asked excitedly.
"Miss Cynthia invited us." Dawn said.
"Ash, who are they?" Rosa asked.
"Right, right. Everyone meet Brock the former Pewter City Gym Leader and now Pokemon Doctor, and Dawn a coordinator from Twinleaf Town. Brock and Dawn, these are my friends from Unova; Rosa a temporarily retired performer, Elliot a genius and student at the Blueberry Academy, and N he competed with me in the Unova League." Ash said introducing the five.
"It's nice to meet you three." Brock said. "I hope we weren't interrupting anything."
"Not at all, we were actually hoping to find a friend of ours here." Elliot admitted.
"Quite a place to pick to meet up." Dino said, walking over to the group. "Good too see you guys again."
"Dino, you're competing as well?" Ash asked.
"Of course, did you not see what the prize was?" Georgia asked, joining the growing group. "A exhibition match against the champion."
"I mean if you guys wanted a rematch, you didn't need to enter a tournament for that." Ash admitted.
"Not against you Ash, against THE champion." Dawn corrected.
"Though I wouldn't mind a rematch." Cameron said with a chuckle.
"Who is he?" Dino asked.
"Cameron, he missed the Vertress Conference but we did have a battle afterwards." Ash admitted.
"He missed it and thinks he has a chance?" Trip scoffed from the side.
"Shut it last place." Georgia reminded angrily.
Later that afternoon
"Hello everyone and welcome to the first official tournament in Unova's newest stadium. First off I would like to give a round of applause for our generous host, the Driftveil City gym leader Clay!" Don George proclaimed to a round of applause.
"Now while the official tournament won't start until tomorrow, I would like to get you all excited with a special match we've prepared. First the challenger, coming from the Sinnoh region, their champion Cynthia!" Don George declared as Cynthia walked out into the arena with her Garchomp.
"Thank you all for having me." Cynthia said with a wave.
"And her opponent, you know her well, coming from Unova's own Opelucid City, it's our champion Iris!" Don George exclaimed to the roaring crowd as a dark skinned girl with long purple hair ran out onto the arena with a Haxorous.
"That's the champion of Unova." Ash said in shock, seeing a trainer not much older than him.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed in awe.
"Battling her, that's our next goal." Ash said with confidence.
"Now without further ado, battle begin!" Don George declared.
"Haxorus use Outrage!"
"Garchomp use Stone Edge!"
Garchomp slammed their arms into the ground, sending large stones jutting up in the path of Haxorus, slowing the axe jaw dragon down.
"Garchomp use Dragon Rush!"
Garchomp rushed forward as Haxorus continued its outrage, the Sinnoh dragon easily outmaneuvering the Unovan Dragon and striking it from the side.
"Use Earthquake!" Both champions exclaimed in unison, the entire arena shaking from the sheer force of the combined attacks.
"Garchomp use Fire Blast!"
"Haxorus use X Scissor!"
Haxorus rushed forward, slicing through the flames coming from Garchomp before rushing into the other dragon.
"Garchomp use Dragon Rush!"
"Haxorus use Outrage!"
The two dragons slammed their arms into each other, pushing against one another before the combined energy bounced the two of them back across either side of the arena.
"And there we have it!" Don George declared excitedly. "I want to see all of you having such high energy battles for the next few days, and give it your all!"

Yep, my usual bringing back the previous companions, this time Brock also came to the Junior World Cup, it never made sense for only Dawn to be invited as Brock was a gym leader and experienced trainer and traveler before moving onto become a Pokemon Doctor.
