It was a beautiful afternoon on the down, The Rabbits were silflaying at the bottom of the hill, enjoying the afternoon sun as it set.
"It just doesn't get much better than this now, does it?" Asked Dandelion.
"Well we could be munching carrots." Said Hawkbit.
"Yeah, brilliant weather, not a hawk or a fox in sight." Said Acorn. "Days like this don't come everyday."
From a nearby stump, Blackavar and Silver were teaching the young, along with the Ex-Hutch Rabbits, Clover and Haystack about the ways of the Rabbit.
"You know, In a Hutch it has no use." Said Blackavar. "But a keen sense of smell can keep you out of danger." He turned to Haystack. "Why don't you have a go at what you can smell?"
Haystack stood up and sniffed the world. "I smell… chestnuts, I smell rabbits… Oh, lots of strange Rabbits."
Blackavar smelled these strange Rabbits too, and immediately stamped his foot in alarm! "Efrafa Patrol!"
All the Rabbits stopped what they were doing and hid in the grass, Blackavar, Silver, Hawkbit, Acorn, Dandelion and Buckthorn crawled to the edge, as a Patrol of Efrafan Owslas arrived.
Campion noticed Moss sniffing the air.
"Something?" He asked.
"I'm not sure, Sir." Replied the Sergeant.
There was a thud, and the sounds of a smack coming from behind them, they turned to see Vervain berating a soldier.
"You rest when someone tells you to and not before!" Vervain wrapped.
"He's exhausted, Vervain." Campion said.
"He's Owsla." Sneered Vervain. "And he's supposed to act like it! Right, move out!"
As Vervain hopped ahead, Campion turned to the Soldier. "Come on lad, you can make it."
The tired Soldier got to his feet, and hopped along with the rest of Patrol as they left.
"Everyone back to the down." Said Buckthorn.
And so they did.
Later,
Once everyone got back, they told Hazel everything and by the time they were finished, Hazel called a meeting with all the other Rabbits of the down.
"Woundworts wide patrols are getting more and more closer." Said Holly.
"If the wind had shifted." Said Hawkbit. "They'd have bean onto us."
"It's getting to the point where it's no longer safe to go outside!" Bigwig said. "We've got to do something Hazel, we can't just sit here hoping Woundwort won't find us."
"You're right." Said Hazel. "We need to take more direct action."
"Ah, now you're talking!" Said Bigwig. "Some raids maybe?"
"The odd surprise attack might scare them a bit." Said Buckthorn.
"Yeah, and it will surely make them jump." Added Silver.
"That's a suicide attempt just waiting to happen." Said Blackberry. "Woundworts Owsla are bigger and stronger than us!"
"Though they're not looking their best." Said Fiver. "From the way the others described it, it sounds like Woundworts driving them too hard."
"Fiver's right." Said Bluebell. "They're not, how you say, running at top speeds these days."
"But still they outnumber us." Said Holly.
"So what else are we meant to do?" Asked Nettle.
"We must learn from ElAhrairah." Said Hazel.
"Ah, use tricks and cunning alright." Said Bigwig. "Out with it."
"We'll lay false trails, and leave clues to lead the Efrafan scouts away from us." Said Hazel. "It will mean a lot of work."
"Doesn't it always?" Asked Dandelion.
Later,
The Next Day, Hazel, Fiver, Bigwig, Hawkbit, Dandelion, Holly, Hyzenthlay, Silver, Blackavar and Blackberry set out to begin work diverting the Efrafans.
They went everywhere, planting deep pawprints in the ground, leaving Bites out of grass and breaking twigs, just as long as the Efrafans were off their scent.
When they had finished, they met together at the nearby pond.
"I really hope the Efrafans appreciate all the trouble it takes to lead them in circles." Hawkbit said, exhausted.
"Right, Real hard work that is." Added Dandelion.
Then there was a rustle in the reeds on the other side of the pond.
"They're coming." Said Hyzenthlay.
"Get to cover!" Said Bigwig and the Rabbits did.
They watched as the Efrafans emerged and one Soldier edged closer to the pond to drink.
"Officers first! Thickears!" Vervain snapped.
"At ease, take your drinks." Campion called reassuringly.
The troops all thankfully began to drink, while Vervain seethed as he stormed up to Campion.
"Do you enjoy undermining my authority?" He demanded.
"Do you enjoy abusing it?" Said Campion.
"We need to find any trace of the outsiders." Said Vervain, changing the subject. "Or Woundwort and the Council will have us out here forever!"
"Not questioning Efrafan Leadership I hope." Campion said, in mock surprise.
"Of… course not." Said Vervain lamely. "I wouldn't dare."
Campion was unconvinced, and as the Rabbits of Watership down watched, Fiver suddenly backed up to a beehive, disturbing the Bees inside and sending them swarming out.
The Rabbits stayed perfectly still as the Bee's flew over them, The Efrafans heard the noise and saw the Bee's flying off.
"Eh, just a bunch of bees." Said Vervain, unconcerned. "Right, If we can't find the Outsiders, Let's try and find some Flayrah!"
And the Efrafans hopped off.
"Let's follow the Efrafans." Said Hazel suddenly.
"What?!" Hyzenthlay asked, aghast.
"You never know what we might overhear." Said Hazel simply.
"The Cat becomes the mouse." Said Bigwig snidely.
"And by the looks of them." Added Silver. "We could probably outrun them if they DID find us out."
And so they followed them, Bigwig sniffed the air.
"The winds in our favor Hazel." He reported. "We can afford to get closer."
They inched closer to the Efrafans, as Campion sniffed something from behind a bush.
"Looks clear." He said. "Let's see if there's Flayrah on the other side."
And as they hopped through the Bush, Hazel hurried up to it, along with the other Rabbits and suddenly found something.
"Wow, what's that?!" Asked Silver.
Before them, was a Glass building with the sun illuminating off it and showing various plants inside.
"It's beautiful!" Exclaimed Fiver.
"Straight from the stories." Marveled Blackavar.
"Prince Rainbows gleaming warren." Said Dandelion dreamily.
Holly sniffed the air. "Faint scent… Man!"
"Maybe it's time to go home." Said Hawkbit.
Suddenly, a cry rang out from the sky.
"Elil!" Cried Hazel. "A Hawk!"
And the rabbits fled into the undergrowth.
Meanwhile,
The Efrafan patrol were making its way after finding no flayrah, when suddenly, Moss got his footpaw caught in a net.
"Keep it down you fool!" Vervain snapped quietly. "There's a hawk about! And you might draw its attention!"
"Sorry Sir." Said Moss. "Won't happen again."
"Ha!" Vervain scoffed, forgetting his own warning. "How many times have I heard that! You Moss, are a sloppy, inept, ignorant-!"
Vervain looked up in horror as the Hawk cried out and swooped at him, He barely managed to duck as he and Moss quickly retreated towards the others.
"Elil! Elil!" Cried Vervain. "RUN!"
The rest of the patrol saw the Hawk and quickly ran after them, but Campion wasn't fast enough, and the Hawk quickly caught him in its talons as the Watership Rabbits watched in horror.
"Frith save us!" Blackberry murmured.
Vervain saw this happen and momentarily grinned, before calling up the rest of the Patrol and making a retreat.
In the Sky, Campion kicked against the Hawks face, until the Hawk eventually got so dazed, it dropped Campion, the hapless buck yelled as he fell to Earth and crashed through a tree, his fall cushioned by the branches.
The Rabbits of Watership Down quickly surrounded him and beheld his injuries.
"By frith." Said Hazel. "He's still alive!"
"Not many would survive a Hawk attack." Said Dandelion.
"Campions in a class of his own." Marveled Bigwig.
"He won't last long in the open." Said Hazel.
"Good." Said Hyzenthlay darkly. "One less enemy to worry about."
"How can you say that?" Fiver asked, aghast. "He's a fellow Rabbit."
Dandelion smelled something coming from the glass building. "Smell that, Flayrah!"
"Let's get him in before the Hawk comes back." Said Holly.
"What?!" Exclaimed Hyzenthlay. "You can't be serious!"
"He's Woundworts Captain of Owsla!" Hawkbit said. "He's an Efrafan!"
"He's out to kill us all!" Silver added.
"And he stopped me from leaving countless times!" Said Blackavar.
"Not today he isn't!" Said Hazel.
"Kehear became our friend and ally because we helped him." Said Fiver.
"Kehear is good and friendly!" Said Hyzenthlay. "You honestly think you can turn this Efrafan Captain of Owsla to our side?!"
In the end, they took him to the House with them, they beheld the place as it contained plants the Rabbits had never seen before.
"Blimey this is something else entirely." Said Hawkbit.
"It's another world!" Said Blackberry.
Silver took a bite out of one of the large leaves, hanging over the stone wall.
"Oh you've got to try this." He said, savoring the taste.
Dandelion, Hawkbit and Blackavar also took bites and instantly wanted more.
"Hmm, I've never tasted anything quite like it!" Said Hawkbit.
"This is delicious!" Added Dandelion.
"There's so much new in here it's… It's all so strange." Said Hyzenthlay. "I don't know whether to be worried or not."
"Eat now, worry later." Said Hawkbit as he munched on another leaf.
Hazel, Bigwig and Blackberry looked over Campion and nursed his wounds, while Fiver glanced outside and saw the Sun about to set.
"It's gonna be dark soon." He told the others. "We'd all better get home Hazel."
"You all go." Said Hazel. "I'll stay with Campion."
"You'll what?!" Asked Hyzenthlay in disbelief.
"No point in us all getting captured if the Patrol returns." Said Hazel.
"Out of the question Hazel!" Said Holly. "You're our Chief Rabbit, we can't leave you behind again!"
"I don't like this place either, Hazel." Said Fiver. "There's something alien about this place."
He shivered as he seemed to hear something else. "And there's something here, Something cold and watchful."
"It won't be long till Campion can fend for himself." Said Hazel. "No go."
"If I may Hazel, I'll stay in your place." Said Blackberry. "Holly's right, Your place is among the others."
Hazel reluctantly nodded.
"Come on everyone!" Called Bigwig. "Let's get a move on."
Silver and Blackavar quickly joined them, while Hawkbit and Dandelion were still gorging themselves, A sharp *Ahem* from Bigwig quickly got their attention.
And soon began to depart, Leaving Blackberry behind with Campion.
"Fiver's right." Said Hyzenthlay. "There is something strange about that place, I hope Blackberry will be alright."
"I'm sure he will." Hazel said, assuring his mate, as they left.
Meanwhile,
In Efrafa, Vervain gave his "Report" to General Woundwort and the Council.
"The patrol was exhausted." Said Vervain. "Campion was driving them beyond their limits!"
"Did he?" Asked Woundwort.
"Yes General!" Said Vervain. "It's no wonder the Hawk thought we were easy prey."
"No wonder indeed." Woundwort mused.
"It was pure luck that the rest of us got away." Vervain went on.
"Was it?" Asked Snowdrop.
"I did my best." Vervain said pathetically.
"No information on Thlayli and the outsiders, and no Flayrah." Said A Counselor. "And an esteemed Captain of Owsla lost."
"A serious blow indeed." Noted another.
"And therefore, the need for a new one is paramount." Said the First counselor. "Otherwise, the duties of Captain of Owsla will belong slowly to Captain Vervain alone."
Vervain perked up at this.
"Let us be thankful that this was a natural tragedy." Said a third Counselor. "And unsurprisingly however, that this incident was in relation to tracking the outsiders of…"
The Counselor soon bit his tongue and Woundwort glared down at him, shutting him up.
"Yes… The duties of Campion would pass to Vervain." Said Woundwort. "As his "Best" at his current ones, are clearly substandard!" He harshly turned to the quivering Captain. "Isn't it? Captain Vervain?"
"N-No, not really General." Vervain stuttered.
Woundwort managed to compose himself. "You will be back out there tomorrow, won't you?"
"Yes Sir." Vervain let out.
"And you will do better this time." Woundwort said seriously.
"Yes Sir."
Meanwhile,
In the Glass building, Blackberry was huddled in a corner, with Campion not too far from him, A loud sqwaking noise awoke him and he looked up.
Above him, were two brightly colored birds, one red, one green, they stared down at Blackberry and laughed.
"Bad place to be nighttimes." Said the Red One.
"Uh, hello." Said Blackberry.
"Nighttimes bad enough up here." Squawked the Green one.
"Nighttimes worse down there." Added the Red one, stifling a chuckle.
"Why?" Asked Blackberry. "What's down here?"
Then the door opened and a man walked in with a large sack of something, Blackberry took Campion and hid in the bushes, as the man filled the bowl on the ground with something and left.
The Colored Birds quickly descended and began to eat.
"Man not want you here." Said the Red one. "Should have left with your friends."
"Hide good now, little longears." Said the Green One.
"Why?" Asked Blackberry. "What else is in here?"
"SQUAWK! Slither thing." Said the Green one. "That what!"
"A Snake?" Asked Blackberry.
"She hiding right now." Said the Red One. "And waiting…"
"She kill all animal that live on ground." Said the Green One.
"Better hide!" Said the Red One as they both flew back up to their perch and laughed, Blackberry hurried back to Campion and crouched close to him.
"I hope you wake up, Campion." Said Blackberry. "I'm awfully lonely all of a sudden."
Meanwhile,
It was evening before Hazel and the others returned to the Down, Vilthuril, Nettle and Rosemary were there to greet them.
"Good to see you all back." Said Rosemary. "Where's Blackberry?"
"He's stayed behind in a strange place." Said Hyzenthlay, before muttering darkly. "Looking after Campion."
"Campion?!" Exclaimed Nettle. "What in frith for?"
"Uhhh… Oh yes, A Hawk got him." Dandelion said, struggling with his words for a moment.
"But he'll be alright." Said Fiver.
"Oh I do hope so." Vilthuril said.
"Don't tell me you got a soft spot for him?" Said Bigwig.
"Of course not!" Hyzenthlay said, grumpily, shooting Vilthuril a scathing look before retreating further into the warren.
"What's with her?" Asked Holly.
"She really doesn't care for Campion." Said Blackavar. "He fancied her sister."
"He protected Primrose." Said Vilthuril. "Quite a lot actually, sometimes it felt he was the only decent Rabbit in Efrafa."
"Only because he had a carrot for her." Sniffed Nettle. "Otherwise, he wouldn't be so chivalrous."
"And yet, Chivalrous he was." Said Vilthural.
Meanwhile,
Back in the Glass Building, Blackberry shivered as he heard something rustle in the vegatration.
"You should fly up here, oh yes!" Said the Red Bird.
"I can't fly!" Protested Blackberry.
"Ha Ha Ha Ha! Flap your ears!" The Green one laughed. "Might work!"
The Colorful birds laughter woke Campion up, he wearily looked up and his blurry vision cleared to show Blackberry looking at him.
"Wha.. who are you?" He asked. "Where am I?!"
He struggled to get up, but Blackberry stopped him.
"Don't exert yourself Captain." Said Blackberry. "My name is Blackberry, I brought you here to help you."
"Help me? Why?' Asked Campion. "Are you one of Thlayli's outsiders?"
"You were attacked by the Hawk, your patrol left you for dead." Explained Blackberry. "You needed help."
Campion scoffed. "Huh, good old Vervain, solid as a marsh that one."
He got to his feet and looked at Blackberry. "And you just happened to save me, eh?" He looked more closely at Blackberry. "Yes… I remember you, you were one of the Rabbits from the bridge and the river, you ARE one of Thlayli's, where is your warren?!"
"Let's not play war games here Captain." Said Blackberry. "We're stuck here, and there's a Snake in here too."
"What? A Snake?" Asked Campion, looking around.
"They call it a Slither Thing." Blackberry gestured to the birds.
"Oh, that doesn't sound good." Said Campion, shaking his head. "A truce then, till we get out."
"Agreed." Nodded Blackberry. "Now get some rest, I'll keep watch."
Campion layed back down, As Blackberry watched the undergrowth, every rustle from the vegetation catching his ear.
After a few hours, he collected a few leaves and gave them to Campion for eating.
"I've been wondering." Said Campion. "Why would you risk your life for an enemy, Does your chief know about this?"
"Matter of fact." Said Blackberry. "Our Chief originally wanted to stay with you, but I insisted otherwise and took his place, now eat and get your strength back."
"What did you do with the Does?" Asked Campion.
"They live with us now." Said Blackberry. "They gave our Warren young."
"They did?" Asked Campion in surprise. "That's… That's good, I'm glad for them."
"A few even say… you don't belong in Efrafa either." Blackberry went on. "That your… different from the rest."
"No worse than Orchis or Vervain you mean?" Campion asked.
"You can't like the way Woundwort governs your warren, can you?" Asked Blackberry.
Campion groaned. "Oh I was starting to like you, don't spoil that."
"He's leading Efrafa down a dark trail, and you know it." Blackberry said.
Campion looked away. "He wasn't always like that."
"Blind loyalty is a fool's choice." Said Blackberry.
Campion stood up. "Before there WAS an Efrafa, Warrens in these lands were starving, warring with each other, He united us, made us safe from Man, Nobody else could save Rabbits like that."
"Maybe not." Said Blackberry. "But then who's going to save it all, from Woundwort?"
A rustle caught their attention.
Meanwhile,
"NO!"
Fiver bolted awake, shivering in terror.
"Fiver?" Asked Hazel. "What's wrong?"
"A Bad dream…" Fiver said, frightfully. "It has to be… Snakes can't be that big!"
Meanwhile,
A Large Snake emerged from the plants, speckled with yellow and green, its yellow eyes settled on the two Rabbits and flicked its tongue.
"C-Can you run?" Asked Blackberry.
"Elarairah couldn't catch me." Said Campion.
The Giant Snake then launched at them, Its jaws wide open, Blackberry and Campion quickly jumped out of the way and ran towards the end of the building, using the plants to cover them from the snake's sight, when they got to the end, they let out breaths of desperation.
"In frith's name!" Exclaimed Campion. "What was that?!"
From above, the Colorful birds were laughing.
"Slither Thing!" Laughed the Red One.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! It find you, it tastes your heat, if get you, oh yes!" Cackled the Green One.
"Why don't you shut your beaks!" Snapped Blackberry.
The important birds looked at each other.
"You ever shut your beak?" Asked the Red One.
"No! You ever shut your beak?" Asked Green One.
They went on and one for ages, Much to Campion and Blackberry frustration.
"How do we get out now?" Asked Blackberry.
"I don't even know why you dragged me here." Said Campion.
"It seemed clever at the time." Said Blackberry.
He then noticed a patch of dirt in a small corner of the wall. "You wouldn't be interested in digging, would you?"
Meanwhile,
Back on the Down, Fiver and Hazel gathered Bigwig, Hyzenthlay, Hawkbit and Dandelion around and told them of Fiver's dream.
"It was a monster Snake!" Said Fiver. "A being from another world! Blackberry and Campion don't stand a chance without us."
"And you think it will run off if it sees us?" Asked Hawkbit.
"If it knows what's good for it." Said Bigwig.
"Then we'd better hurry." Said Hazel. "Dawns coming soon."
And so they set off, with Kehear flying after them overhead.
Meanwhile,
Blackberry wasn't having much luck with the dirt patch.
"There's no way under." He said. "It's Solid all the way down!"
As he kept digging, the Slither Thing appeared again, and once again tried to catch them in its jaws, the Two Rabbits frantically scampered off, while the Colorful Birds watched with interest.
The Next Day.
As the Morning sun rose, Vervain and his patrol were back where they were.
"That Hawk wouldn't be up and about this early, would it Moss?" Vervain asked nervously.
"Shouldn't think so sir." Said Moss, looking at the sky.
"Right then." Said Vervain, looking around. "We'll try and find a Farm nearby, take some Flayrah as quickly as we can and get back to Efrafa, anyone in agreement?"
"Captain Campion would have had us do more… "Through" sweep of the search area." Said Moss.
"Yes." Said Vervain, wanting to get back to Efrafa as quickly as possible. "Well he's done, isn't he? Now then, Red, you take two others and search the East side, Igg, Ook, you look over there with that third Soldier beside you, the rest of you, follow me."
And the Patrol split up, Kehear observed this from the sky and flew off to warn the others, As they headed for the glass building.
"Ugly Vervain going where we go!" He called. "Gots patrol with him!"
"Great, just what we need." Muttered Hawkbit. "Efrafans AND Monsters, It's not even morning yet."
And they bounded down the path to the Glass Building.
Meanwhile,
At said building, Campion and Blackberry were catching their breaths.
"We can't run forever." Said Campion.
"And we can't exactly fight that Snake either." Said Blackberry.
The Colorful Birds were watching from above. "Oh!" Said the Red One. "You last all night, furry longear!"
"Pretty clever for fury things." Said the Green One.
"And I suppose you think you're more clever?" Asked Blackberry.
"Sure, we even know way out!" Said the Red One. "We used way out once."
"But we come back." Said the Green One. "Too cold out, Slither Thing hate cold too."
"You're fibbing!" Campion said.
"We show you, come on!" Said the Red One, and they flew over to another part of the Glass Building, prompting Blackberry and Campion to follow after them, there, they found a small hole in the glass, packed in by something made of cloth.
"We go out with that, oh yes!" Said the Red One.
Blackberry took the cloth by the mouth and tried to pull it out.
"It's packed as hard as a burrow floor." He said.
On the other side of the Glass Building, The other Rabbits were looking inside, the front door they had come in through before was shut and possibly locked, and there was no sign of Blackberry or Campion.
"I don't see either of them." Said Hazel.
"No sign of a Monster either." Said Bigwig. "We'll circle the place, Blackberrys in there somewhere."
And they found Blackberry and Campion, trying to get the cloth out of the glass.
"Blackberry!" Called Hazel. "It's us!"
Blackberry's eyes lit up as he saw his friends. "HELP US!" He cried.
Bigwig and Hawkbit tried to pull out the cloth from their end, while Fiver pressed his face against the glass and gasped.
"THE MONSTER!" He cried.
Everyone turned and stared in horror as the Slither Thing appeared from behind and bared its Fangs.
"WHAT IN FRITH'S NAME IS THAT?!" Exclaimed Hyzenthlay.
"I-I'll draw it off, you get that cloth open." He told Campion, and he shot away with the Slither Things chasing him, leaving Campion and the others biting at the cloth.
Meanwhile,
On the other side of the Glass Building, Vervain and his Patrol inspected the premises and looked inside.
"What kind of Flayrah is that?" He asked, Marveling at the sight.
"It's practically Frith's garden." Said Moss. "Pity we can't get in."
Just then, Blackberry jumped out of the bushes and made Vervain gawk.
"Moss, was that another Rabbit in that… place?" Vervain asked.
"It looked like it." Said Moss.
Meanwhile,
On the other side of the Glass building, Bigwig gave one final tug at the cloth, before ripping it out completely.
"Come on, Campion!" He called. "Don't dally about!"
"Not without Blackberry!" Said Campion.
"Where is he?" Asked Hyzenthlay.
"GO! GO!" Cried Blackberry as he jumped out of the bushes as the Slither Thing was on his trail, Campion crawled beneath the glass, with Hazel and Bigwig pulled him out, Blackberry followed suite, just as the Slither Thing tried to bite him, It slithered out into the open too, and the other Rabbits stepped back!
But then it hissed uncomfortably, and retreated back inside.
"Did you see that?!" Asked Hawkbit. "It took one look at us and turned tail after all!"
"No…" Breathed Blackberry. "It didn't like the cold."
Kehear hovered overhead. "Ugly Vervain coming! You hiding or fighting?"
"I suppose our truce is over." Blackberry said to Campion.
"Nah, I'm too tired to fight after all that's happened." Said Campion.
"I'm not." Growled Hyzenthlay, but Hazel stopped him.
"I don't know what happened in there." Bigwig said to Blackberry. "Just remember, He's the enemy."
"And don't you forget it Thayli." Campion snarled.
Bigwig said nothing more, he just left with a still glaring Hyzenthlay.
"I asked you once, who'd save Efrafa from Woundwort." Said Blackberry. "You didn't answer."
"You ask too many Questions." Campion said, turning away.
"Come on Blackberry." Said Hazel. "We have to go!"
And go they did, just as Vervain, Moss and the rest of the Patrol came in.
Vervain gasped. "C-Campion?!"
"Bless my tail Sir!" Moss exclaimed as he hurried up to him. "It's great to see you, Sir!"
"B-But…" Vervain was in disbelief. "But the Hawk got you… Shouldn't you be dead?!"
"Sorry to disappoint you, Vervain." Campion scoffed.
"You… wouldn't happen to know a way in there would you?" Asked Vervain, trying to ingratiate himself with his college. "I saw a Rabbit in there."
"Of course you did." Said Campion. "It was me, Vervain! You saw me!"
Hazel watched from a bush and turned away.
Later,
After all the Rabbits had gone, The two Parrots talked amongst each other in the Greenhouse.
"What you think it's like out there for furry long ears?" Asked Miguel.
"Ha! Boring!" Squaked Rodrigo. "Cold and Boring!"
And the two Parrots laughed, content to be where they were, in their warm, tropical Greenhouse.
