Chp. 25: Siege for Magic
Team SAFR Residence
August 30, 2020
It was morning at the residence of Team SAFR as Team SAFR, the Whitlocks, Atar, Deriko, Lloyd, Mitra, Yasu, and Athena were in the living room, having already gotten up from sleep. They all notice that Siavash is still not back yet.
"When do you think Siavash will be back?" Lloyd asked.
"I am starting to get a little worried," Laura said.
"He told me that he was spending the night at a hotel. Don't know why though," Athena said.
"We'll ask him when he gets back," Samuel said.
Suddenly, an explosion was heard right outside as the house shook. Everyone nearly fell over from the violent shake, but were quick to recover.
"What was that?!" Lloyd asked.
"It sounds like it's coming from outside," Fenix answered.
Everyone raced to the windows to see what was going on. As soon as they got to the windows they all see Lysander and the Angra Corps outside the house with their weapons drawn out.
"It's David!" Mitra said.
Someone walks up next to Lysander as the students recognize who it was.
"And Amethyst," Yasu said.
"He must be here for the artifacts," Asher said.
"I'll activate the defense systems," Pyke said as he ran off down the hallway.
Outside of the house, Lysander and Amethyst stood out in the front yard looking up at the house.
"All the artifacts that Team SAFR had obtained are all here," Amethyst said.
"Excellent. The artifacts will be put to great use and all oppressors around the world will pay for all their crimes," Lysander said.
Suddenly, several gun turrets sprouted out from the ground around the house as the guns aimed at Lysander, Amethyst, and the Angra Corps.
"Take cover!" Lysander yelled.
The turrets began to open fire upon the intruders as they all scrambled for cover. Lysander and Amethyst ran up to a brick wall and took cover behind it. As the battle was commencing, Lysander turned his head to Amethyst.
"Did you make sure that Siavash would not interfere?" he asked.
"As much as it hurts me to do this, I've made sure he's not going anywhere for a while," Amethyst answered.
"Take the house!" Lysander ordered his men.
The Angra Corp soldiers all began to open fire upon the turrets and the house as Team SAFR, the Whitlocks, Mitra, Lloyd, Athena, Deriko, Yasu, and Atar grabbed their weapons and started shooting at the Angra Corps from the windows, alongside the turrets outside the house.
Repose Inn
Meanwhile at the Repose Inn, Siavash laid naked on the bed inside the guest bedroom Amethyst rented. He soon stirred up and opened his eyes, finally waking up. As he did, he found that could not move his arms and legs. He looked at his limbs and discovered that they were tied to the railings of the bed.
"What's going on? Why am I tied to the bed?" Siavash asked "Amethyst! Amethyst!"
He got no answer as concern and worry started to fester in his mind. He looked around for a moment until he noticed a note taped on the wall next to him. He narrowed his eyes at the note as he started to read it.
Siavash, I went off with Lysander to help him retrieve the artifacts for him at Team SAFR's house. I know you would try to stop me, which is why I had to tie you to the bed. The whole night between us as much as I've deeply enjoyed it, it was meant to distract you. I hope you can forgive me for what I am doing.
Siavash widened his eyes in shock as he had read the note that Amethyst had left him. He couldn't believe that she would do this to him. His thoughts were interrupted when Mitrandil spoke to him.
"Siavash."
"Mitrandil?" Siavash spoke.
"You must get a hold of yourself. We've got to break free of these restraints and stop your enemies from stealing the artifacts," Mitrandil said.
"How could she do this to me?" Siavash asked as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"I know you're hurt from this, but your friends need you right now. Their lives might also be in danger. There are much bigger things to worry about right now," Mitrandil said.
Siavash remained motionless as Mitrandil's words started to register into his head. He knew Mitrandil was right. He didn't want to see his friends get hurt, nor see David get his hands on the magical artifacts, or else even more people will get hurt or killed. He didn't want this to happen. Siavash looks up to his right hand and starts twisting and turning it in an attempt to break himself free.
"I'll need your magic, Mitrandil," he said.
Siavash conjures a small obsidian knife in his hand as he then turns the blade over and slides it down into the rope. He then starts grinding the knife up and down against the rope. The knife soon cuts through the rope, freeing his hand. Siavash then starts cutting through the rope binding his left hand, and then proceeds to do the same with rope binding his feet.
He got up off of the bed and began to pick up his clothes and put them back on. He picks up his weapon off the floor and sheaths it away.
"Mitrandil, do you have something that will help me get back faster?" Siavash asked.
"Not at this moment. You will have all access to my magic and memories when we merge completely. The More you use my magic, the faster we merge," Mitrandil answered.
"I guess I'll have to run for it then," Siavash said.
He opens the door and sprints out of the room and begins to make a run for Team SAFR's home to help his friends and teachers.
Team SAFR Residence
Meanwhile back at the house of Team SAFR, The Angra Corps continues their assault on the residence as Team SAFR, the Whitlocks, Athena, Yasu, Atar, Deriko, Mitra, and Lloyd continue to defend the home housing the magical artifacts.
"Take out those turrets!" Lysander yelled out to his men.
A couple of Angra Corp soldiers each aimed a rocket launcher at a turret and fired their rockets at it, destroying it. Another one threw a couple of grenades at another turret, and once they exploded the turret's cannon barrels were blown off.
"Our defenses are breaking!" Pyke said.
"Where is Siavash?!" Yasu asked.
"I've already sent a message to him! He said he's on his way!" Athena said.
"I'm not sure how long we're gonna last!" Mitra said.
"I'm calling Professor Bellerose for backup!" Laura said.
"That might take a while!" Samuel said.
Lysander and Amethyst jumped out from behind the wall that they were hiding behind for cover and charged over to the last two remaining turrets. Amethyst draws out Hurricane and her wand and shoots bolts of lightning from her weapon and wand at one of the turrets, disabling it. Lysander drew out his weapon and with his semblance, placed a glyph on the last turret and shot several fireballs from his weapon as they all struck the turret and made it explode.
"All our turrets are down!" Fenix shouted.
"Grab some of the artifacts! We might have to use them! And use them when you really need to since they're powered by Aura!" Arrastra said.
The Angra Corp soldiers all jumped out from cover and charged towards the house. Team SAFR, the Whitlocks, Athena, Yasu, Atar, Deriko, Mitra, and Lloyd all crashed through the windows with some artifacts in their possession, and charged towards their attackers. Bothside charged at each other and soon clashed.
Laura slash at one soldier with her katana before kicking another down to the ground. She fires a couple shots at another oncoming rebel, knocking him down. Samuel slashed at a soldier in the chest with his chainsaw bladed sword before kicking him down. Another rebel charged towards Samuel armed with a spear, but Samuel slices off the spear's tip before swinging his sword at the enemy which sent him flying into a boulder.
Mitra shot several blasts of ice at a couple of rebels, freezing them in place. A couple more rebels charged towards her armed with machetes as she shot a couple streams of electricity, shocking them and knocking them to the ground. A sniper fires a shot at Mitra, but Lloyd ran up and blocks the shot with Shinigami. Lloyd then hurls his sickle at the sniper which struck him in the head, killing him. He swung his weapon by its chain, with it still plunged into the body and swung it into a couple of Angra Corp soldiers, knocking them down. Lloyd swung his weapon again as the body slid off from the blade and flew into another soldier.
A couple of Angra Corp soldiers throw a couple of grenades at Lloyd and explode, sending him flying and crashing to the ground. His ears were ringing for a moment as Lloyd pulled out the golden leaf crown and put it on. His senses were then enhanced as his eye sockets started to glow gold and his eyesight returned. He notices the two soldiers armed with axes charging towards him as he swung Shinigami at one of the two soldiers, knocking him down. The other soldier swung his axe at Lloyd as he blocked the attack and tried pushing him away.
As Lloyd stared into the eyes of his opponent, as his glowing eye sockets started to turn that happened the eyes of the soldier started to turn green too, before he dropped his weapon clinched onto his head, screaming in agony. Lloyd's eye sockets then change back to gold as he then hurls a punch to the rebel's face, knocking him out. He turns his head to see Mitra getting kicked to the ground by an Angra Corp soldier and aims his gun at her.
"Hey you!" Lloyd called out to the soldier as he turned his head towards him.
Lloyd's eye sockets glowed green again as did the soldier's eyes as he let out a pained scream, clenching onto his head. Mitra quickly gets back up to her feet and engulfs her fist in fire and punches the soldier in the face knocking him out. Mitra turns her head to Lloyd as his eye sockets change back to their normal gold color as he runs up to her.
"You okay?" Lloyd asked.
"Lloyd, what was that?" Mitra asked.
"I think that might have been my semblance," Lloyd answered. "I think it allows me to inflict pain on whoever I make eye contact with."
"I told you it will kick in at some point," Mitra said before pecking Lloyd's cheek with a kiss.
The two then charged back into battle to help the others.
Athena projected a mace from Armament before swinging it at a Angra Corp soldier in the head, knocking him down. She then swung the mace at another soldier in the stomach, and followed it up by kicking him in the face knocking him out. From the corner of her eye, Athena notices Amethyst blasting a fireball at her. She acts quickly by creating a glyph in front of her, shielding her from the attack.
"How could you do this to us? To Siavash?!" Athena asked.
"The artifacts can be used to save your home! Don't you want that?" Amethyst asked.
"Not if David is using them!" Athena replied as she projected a long blade from Armament.
Amethyst a blast of wind at Athena which sent her flying backwards, and as she did, something fell out of her pocket, catching Amethyst's attention. It was the shapeshifting necklace Athena and her friends found from the temple. She runs over and picks up the necklace as Athena looks up seeing her opponent pick it up.
"There is one creature I want to change into. But the question is, can it work?" Amethyst said as she put on the necklace.
Amethyst's started to glow as her body started to change and grow. Athena slowly backed away with her eyes widening in shock and terror as Amethyst's appearance continued to change. Amethyst's transformation faces completion as she was now a large purple dragon that was the size of the house. She now has large wings, five horns on her head and two dozen more horns on her jaw, and spine coming up from her tail to her neck.
Amethyst lets out a loud roar getting everyone's attention.
"A dragon?!" Atar screamed out in shock.
"What was Amethyst thinking?!" Asher asked.
Arrastra and Pyke start shooting at Amethyst with Pyke activating his semblance (4). Amethyst swung her tail at them, sending the Arrastra and Pyke flying into a wall. Atar quickly puts on the Cloak of Flight, and the cloak embeds into his back and turns into a pair of wings. He takes off into the air and flies towards Amethyst's head. He activated his semblance and slashed at the dragon's head, making it roll back as it roared in pain. Amethyst in response swiped its claws at Atar, knocking him down to the ground below.
As Yasu, Deriko, Asher, and Fenix were about to rush in to help, a blast of magic suddenly knocked them all down to the ground. They all look up to see Lysander approaching them.
"This can all end if you hand over all of the artifacts," David said.
"Like hell we will!" Yasu said.
Yasu, Fenix, Deriko, and Asher all got up from the ground and charged over towards Lysander. Lysander shot a blast of magic at Asher and Yasu, knocking them down to the ground. Fenix swung his claws at Lysander, slashing at his torso. In response, Lysander turns his left hand into a large Grimm claw and grabs onto Fenix's leg. He then threw him into Deriko, knocking them both to the ground. Lysander's claw then changed back to its normal human hand.
"The gem on my armor allows me to turn my body parts or my entire body into Grimm. Fascinating isn't it?," Lysander explained.
"David! Amethyst!" a familiar voice yelled out.
Everyone turns their attention to the source of the voice. Team SAFR, the Whitlocks, Athena, Yasu, Atar, Deriko, Mitra, and Lloyd all gain looks of relief and happiness, while Lysander gains a look of anger and Amethyst gives a look of shock upon seeing who had just arrived.
"Siavash!" Athena cried out in joy.
Author's Note: I have three more stories to go through before I can move on to RWBY and Earth IV. I've notice that you all are wondering when RWBY and Earth IV will be up, but as I said before I have three more stories to go through, all of which will focus on the members of Team JAAR (Jaspar). So to get through these stories faster, I will put up all the three stories up in one book.
Starting with this chapter, I will put up a trailer for each story coming up in the future. There are just a few more chapters of The Occultic Huntsmen left. I hop you enjoy the first trailer.
Watson stood over a grave within Sao Paulo.
"There's nothing left for me here anymore, Lucas," Watson said. "I'm not sure what to do right now."
Watson opens a door revealing to be Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel.
"Who knows? A new start my be just around the corner," Lucas said.
An airplane lands into airport within Menagerie.
"Prime Minister Belladonna wants to start up some trade deals with other countries and open borders for tourism," a man said to Watson.
Ghira stood behind a podium waving to a large crowd.
Kali holds a baby with Blake looking down at her new sibling.
A Faunus with eagle wings flew down into Kuo Kuana, while carrying Lucas.
Watson is seen dancing with a cat Faunus girl.
A small house explodes catching everyone's attention.
"Someone wants to ignite a war between us and the other nations," Ghira said.
A crowd of angry Faunus were throwing projectiles at some humans
"Then it's our job to stop it," Watson said.
Emerald stood in front of the cat Faunus holding a cupcake, glaring at her.
Several British soldiers getting into a shootout with some Neo-Nazies and Human supremacists.
A man with a cybernetic eye dances down some stairs with Victor Gordon standing by watching in annoyance.
Blake and Ilia are seen fighting Victor.
Hazel, Emerald, and Mercury are seen fighting a group of animal themed robots.
Watson swung his knives at the man with the cybernetic eye as he defends himself with a large arm cannon.
