The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "It's blood, not nuclear waste. Chill out."

Lacey smiled and waved at the group of people that were just coming in the door of the bar. She had been waiting in the bar since Lee had texted that they had landed back in New Orleans about half an hour before. It had been Jacoba's third mission and she really wanted to know how it had gone.

Truly, Lacey still couldn't quite believe that Jacoba was now, officially, a member of the Expendables. She had come quite a way from the slightly timid young woman that Lacey had met about one year before. The sarcastic Amazon (as she was now officially called) did seem to click even better with the team than Lacey ever had (the fact that she had cheated on Lee was still in the back of most of the team's minds) and Lacey was just hoping that that had continued throughout their latest mission as well.

As Jacoba, Lee, and Barney all made their way towards her (the rest , minus Yin who hadn't come, were getting the drinks), Lacey took stock of their appearances. Both men looked none the worse for wear, maybe a couple of scrapes but nothing too major. Jacoba, on the other hand, had a piece of cloth (which looked like it had been torn off a shirt, Lacey noted as they got closer) wrapped around her left forearm. As they got to the table, Lacey gasped and flinched slightly away from her. "Oh my, what happened, Jacoba? And is that blood I see through that crude excuse for a bandage?"

Jacoba rolled her eyes as she sat down. "Lacey, I know for a fact that you have patched up Lee when he's come back from a mission hurt. So, yeah, it's blood, not nuclear waste. Chill out. It's not even that bad, either."

"Caesar still disagrees, I bet." Lacey shot a confused look over at Gunnar, who set a Long Island Iced Tea down in front of Jacoba as he was sitting down next to her with a beer of his own. Jacoba snorted before smirking over at him and gesturing for him to continue. He chuckled before looking back at Lacey. "I was patching up the Amazon on the plane and Caesar was flinching every time that I did something. Meanwhile, she was just sitting there conversing with Yin about something or other."

Jacoba scoffed again as she took a sip of her drink. "It's like he's never seen a knife wound before."

"AMAZON!"

The whole table burst out laughing as Caesar stomped his way over to yell at the woman in question. Lacey just sighed quietly and leaned into Lee's shoulder. It definitely looked like Jacoba had really found her home.
