"The Best View Of Paris"
Trina and Zeke decided to go back to Paris, and relive their favorite moments. They went to the Eiffel Tower, and this time they were able to get tickets to the top floor.
Trina and Zeke have finally arrived at their favorite part of the Paris trip, the Eiffel Tower. It's been at least two years since they've been back here, and last time the couple could only get tickets to the second floor. This time Zeke was prepared, booking their tickets six months in advance, and today they were going to the top. Zeke, along with Trina, have done research, watched videos, and talked to others about the Eiffel Tower tour, and everyone says the top floor is the best view of the whole city. Zeke looked forward to getting lots of pictures once they got to the top, and Trina was a bit nervous about being up so high, but she was still excited.
They lined up with the others, and loaded on to the lift that would take them to the second floor. There were a lot of people with them, so Zeke stood behind Trina, wrapping his arms around her to make her feel secure. Trina was able to stare out the window, as they got higher up, enjoying the view in front of her. The two of them shifted in their spot, being glad to have remembered to wear comfortable shoes, because last time that was Trina's biggest mistake. Paris has lots of great places to shop, and even though they have many beautiful shoes you can buy, they are not good for walking tours.
The groups stopped on the second floor, some of them stopping to go into the gift shop, while others prepared to board the second lift. Trina and Zeke made a mental note to visit the shop on the way back, and were focused now on the part of the tour they haven't experienced before.
"Here we go. Are you ready?" Zeke asked Trina.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
Zeke took both of her hands, pulling Trina close to him.
"Don't worry, they have an inside and outside to the top. If the outside view is too much, you can stay inside."
Trina nods, "Yeah, I know. I'm ready, I can do it."
Zeke squeezes her hand tighter, and the two get on the lift up to the third floor. They were rising higher and higher, Trina still breathing through it, and is doing okay. She concentrated on her husband rubbing her arms, and she thought about nothing but how beautiful the view was going to be. The door seemed to open suddenly, and the group had finally arrived. Trina walked along the inside, reading the wall that marked the height of other famous landmarks. Several people have already made their way outside to take photos, and Zeke was taking his time, waiting for his wife to be ready. Zeke looks at Trina with a soft smile, and Trina smiles back.
"How are you doing so far?"
"I'm good." Trina nods.
"Do you think you're ready to check out the outside?" Zeke asked, reaching for her hand.
Trina takes a breath taking her husband's hand as they step out the door. Trina has her eyes closed at first, but then opens them to the most breathtaking view she's ever seen. Zeke wraps an arm around her waist as they both stare down at the Champ-de-Mars. Zeke took many photos, amazed at how much of it they could see from up here.
"This is incredible. What do you think so far?"
"It's amazing." Trina answered.
They continued looking at more sights, Zeke taking pictures of the Arc de Triomphe. The anticipation seemed to be the worst part, because once Trina was up there, all of her worries melted away. The view up here was the greatest sight in the world, but more than anything, Trina enjoyed seeing her husband so excited, and getting to add these pictures to his collection.
Next they saw the view of the Louvre, and the Orsay Museum. Trina and Zeke were looking forward to visiting the Louvre later on their trip. Finally the couple were now looking down at the Sacré-Cœur church on top of Montmartre hill. This is another sight they didn't get to see the last time, and both of them were looking forward to visiting this place.
Zeke got plenty of pictures, and now wanted to enjoy this incredible view with Trina, wrapping an arm around her, and gazing down at the city. He felt lucky to be able to have a job where he could take the time for this vacation, and he was even more grateful to experience this with someone he loves. Trina has always dreamed of getting to visit these places she read about in college, and now she and Zeke were living these dreams together.
Now they are heading back to the second floor, and they are heading to the gift shop. There were of course plenty of Eiffel Tower t-shirts, tote bags, Eiffel Tower replicas, which Trina already had. This time she wanted an Eiffel Tower snow globe. She had been collecting snow globes from different places they have traveled to, and now she could add another one. Once Trina and Zeke left the tower, Trina was on the train looking at her snow globe. Zeke sat close to her, happy to see Trina conquer her fear, and experience this amazing sight. They could wait to see more of the world, and have more pictures and stories to share.
