Back At Fairy Tail

"Now we're back in April," Mira states as she shuts off the lacrima player. Fairy Tail knew it wasn't going to be pleasant but damn.

It's Friday, January 3rd, and they still haven't made it to the October disc which came in along with November and December's. But so much has happened that they haven't had time to get through the recent video.

First and foremost, taking care of their children has been the top priority for those who have them. Asuka, who is nine now has been a godsend and has helped out as best she could. She's like a big sister to the new additions to the guild. All of them are of the age that they take up a lot of their attention.

Then there were the jobs that required immediate attention. Others took longer than expected, and others…

There was a behemoth of a monster causing mayhem on the outskirts of Clover Town. Fairy Tail arrived as it decided to enter the town. They managed to push it back into a wooded area, away from town, and what they discovered…

They found a dark guild that was responsible for the beast. It was meant to keep others out of the area as they tried to resurrect Zeref. Boy was Natsu pissed. Even though it's known Zeref is dead and there's no way to bring him back, these dumbasses still had the gall to try. Why can't they leave his brother alone? He's finally found peace and is in the afterlife with Mavis and their two kids.

It was that belief of his that got him fired up and demolished the dark guild for trying to ruin his brother's happiness. Of course, there was much damage. Unfortunately, some of it made its way into town. Thankfully no one was hurt. They took the time to help fix the town before returning home.

The first part of the flashback wasn't hard to watch, for the most part. The second part of the flashback was hard for a lot of them to stomach.

Lucy took care of quite a few more crimes. Everyone except Natsu, Gray, Cobra, Laxus, Bickslow, Gajeel, and Gildarts left the room during it. Though it was extremely difficult, Erza, Mira, Levy, Cana, and Juvia stayed as well. Yes, it's difficult to watch, but one of their nakama lived it.

After seeing those kinds of crimes numerous times, it was no wonder Lucy eventually snapped and went nuts killing those monsters back in June. She bounced back quicker than they thought she would, and they hoped she wouldn't become numb to the repercussions of taking a human life.

Back in April, Wendy stated that Lucy was in the future. That is not the case. Fairy Tail watched as Lucy and her spirits talked about where they could be and they theorized they were in a completely different galaxy. It would make sense considering her spirits somehow found themselves in a new world of their own known as Summerland. Fairy Tail is intrigued by it and some have commented how it must be difficult to keep Virgo away from her personal heaven. There was no mention of any other life there though and that makes them very curious.

Now they really wish they had a way to contact those on board the Edens Zero. If there was anyone who would be able to travel to another galaxy, it would be Shiki and the others.

Let's rewind a bit to before they finished watching the flashback.

Since it had been a while Sabertooth thought they would stop by and pay Fairy Tail a surprise visit. Of course, it is no issue, and they are asked if they want to stay and watch.

"Gotta warn ya though," Gajeel says, "There's some shit that's not meant for those that are really sensitive when it comes to certain acts of violence."

Rogue asks, "What do you mean?"

Gajeel gives him a look that says, 'What do you think?'

Rogue nods in understanding, "I would much rather Frosch not see that."

"That's okay," Asuka says. "Frosch can come with us! Lector too!"

After those who can't handle what will be shown on the screen leave, Mira asks Yukino, "Could you please ask your spirits about a place called Summerland?"

"Summerland?"

"Yes, it's exactly how it sounds. Lucy's spirits said they were in a beautiful sunny grassy clearing with a pond and a garden with different kinds of flowers surrounded by a forest. When Virgo trekked through the forest, she came across what she would consider her personal heaven."

"What would that be?" Minerva asks.

"Virgo's is a room full of torture instruments as well as other things she loves."

Those in Sabertooth who aren't aware of Virgo's quirks, which is everyone but Yukino, are speechless.

"The others couldn't see it when shown the way. Loke's is a club full of beautiful women." Erza informs them.

"Why does that not surprise me?" Yukino lets out a little chuckle.

Mira grabs the remote and says sadly, "So, we just got done watching Lucy cry herself to sleep."

"Why?" Yukino asks.

"Cobra won't tell us all of the details," Bickslow says.

"Fine, you want to know? She came across crying, bruised, starving children locked up in cages and she couldn't do anything to help them. It makes her feel worthless that all she can do is give Jiji details of what information she's gathered."

The women gasp and get teary-eyed, and the men growl.

"So, you see, you may see a lot of bad shit on the video, but I also hear a lot more fucked up shit."

"Mira, press play," Laxus says. He wants to get back to it.

After Sabertooth gets comfortable, Mira presses play.

Hiding in the shadows, Lucy watches three men guard an inconspicuous building. It's a chilly night and if it weren't for the cloak Ms. Yamamoto had made her, she would be colder than she is. When she revealed it to Lucy, she didn't just cry, she sobbed.

Ms. Yamamoto went with black to make it easier for her to hide in the dark, and because blue is Lucy's favorite color, she made sure that the trim and the Fairy Tail symbol on the back were in that color. She then told her she should pick an alias should she come across anyone. Many ideas ran through her head, Lucy wanted something related to her magic. Ultimately, she went with Celeste because it means heavenly, and her magic is related to the heavens. Ms. Yamamoto also advised her to have her wardrobe be something she wouldn't normally wear. She caught a movie on TV once and the actress portrayed this badass military woman, and she decided that's who she wanted to look like. She had to admit that despite the circumstances, it was fun creating an alter-ego.

While Lucy watches the building she makes note of where the men are stationed, when shift change is, and what kind of weapons they have on them that she could see. Every man she's kept an eye on since she started this job for Jiji carries guns that she doesn't recall Bisca or Alzack ever using. According to him, it's illegal to have guns, especially those that these men carry. Even though there was a lot of money to be had to distribute guns, he confided in her that he plans on getting out of gun distribution. There are some in the yakuza who won't be happy with the changes he wants to make.

"Damn, she looks badass," Orga comments.

"Hey, do any of you recall Bisca or Alzack ever using guns like that?" Levy asks.

"No, they don't have anything of the sort," Erza says.

They don't have to wait long before something very horrific happens. They watch as Lucy listens closely to a soul that's in trouble. She follows it and when it gets to the part where Lucy has walked into the room, they see what Lucy sees. A woman strapped to a bed and gagged while being…

Mira pauses it on Lucy's shocked face as Yukino starts crying and runs out of the guild, Sting right behind her. He rubs her back as she vomits in the bushes. Evergreen, Lisanna, and Levy have joined her, Elfman, Bickslow, and Gajeel having followed them out.

After they've gotten everything out of their system they go back into the building and get a glass of water. The men of Sabertooth can hold it together for now, but when they get home, they'll be letting loose to get the anger out.

Evergreen breaks down, "I can't… I'm sorry… I can't watch that."

"I can't either," Lisanna admits.

Erza gently clasps a hand on Evergreen's shoulder, "It's okay, we understand. That was…"

"Horrible," Mira finishes as she rushes over to Lisanna and hugs her. She mouths 'thank you' to Bickslow before he goes back to where he was sitting.

Elfman gathers his girlfriend and sister in his arms and ushers them out, "I'm going to take care of them. Keep me updated sis?"

Mira nods her head, "Of course."

Sting rubs Yukino's back, "Do you want to go too?"

Shaking her head Yukino says, "No. I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?" Sting prods.

"Yeah, but I'm not so sure about Sorano and Minerva."

Sorano and Minerva have been struggling with whether they want to cry, destroy something, or both. Fairy Tail had kept them updated on what they've watched, but seeing and hearing are two different things.

Both of them have seen some shit in their day, hard not to for Minerva having Jiemma as her father. Her father, no matter how much of a prick he was, never crossed that line. Sorano, having been part of the Oracion Seis and Neo-Oracion Seis had never seen or heard of others in dark guilds crossing that line.

"M'lady?" Rogue asks.

Minerva takes a deep breath in, then slowly lets it out, "I'm good."

"Are you sure?" Erza asks.

Minerva nods, "It was hard to see but Lucy there is the one living it."

"Sorano?" Yukino asks as she calms down.

"I want to see what Lucy does to the bastard."

Everyone gets settled and watches as Lucy beats the ever-loving crap out of the guy. They hear the audible crack from her punch to the face. They're satisfied watching Lucy choke the guy out and punch him in the face. The guys wince when she kicks him in the nuts. Boy are they thankful they never received a Lucy kick there. When Virgo appears everyone who knows the spirit well enough is surprised, she didn't ask for punishment.

Sabertooth gets to meet the man Lucy calls Jiji. Fairy Tail wasn't kidding when they said he does sound a lot like Master Makarov.

Everyone cries with Lucy and Cobra understands more so than everyone having heard the same kind of souls in despair. He also understands the inner turmoil of dealing with the fact he is incapable of saving everyone in trouble. It's something no one but Kinana and Macbeth know about.

This had to have been the night that kick-started Lucy into becoming a vigilante. Fairy Tail has told them about what Lucy had been up to and after seeing what they saw, Sabertooth has a better understanding.

"Now, that's just creepy." Cobra states.

"What is?" Laxus is the one to ask.

"I just saw a girl in Lucy's soul, probably thirteen. Cheerful yet also had a crazy look in her eye brandishing a knife and threatening a bunch of men with it. According to Lucy, her voice is similar to Mavis's." Cobra having caught a glimpse of Mavis in Fairy Tail's souls tells them, "She's a little taller with the same hair color. Her-"

Present Mic's Voice: Himiko Toga Quirk: Transform, it grants her the ability to transform into a physical lookalike of another individual as well as copy their voice. She can only transform into people whose blood she has ingested. The more blood she drinks the longer she has access to that person's form.

"…"

"That's gross!"

"Do these people choose their quirks?" Sting asks.

Mira answers, "No, they don't."

"Didn't think so. Man, that sucks."

"That's a first, learning about someone without having met them yet."

"Someone is stalking Lucy," Cobra informs them. "She can feel him following her."

"Whoa, who's that guy she bumped into?"

"Is he stapled together?"

"Shhh…"

"Why are you shushing us Sting?"

"Can you rewind that, Mira? Rogue, Yukino listen closely."

Mira rewinds it and everyone listens closely.

"I don't hear anything," Gajeel says.

Yukino's eyes go wide, "He sounds like Larcade!"

"Of the Spriggan 12?" Levy asks.

Natsu's mind flits back to the war and when Zeref killed Larcade. His sense of smell has always been better but, "I can hear it. Lucy wouldn't know the voice."

Bickslow cackles, "Poor Cosplayer being dubbed with yet another nickname."

"How many does that make now?"

Everyone starts counting on their fingers but loses track when Cobra yells, "What the fuck dude."

"What?" Everyone asks in unison.

Cobra shudders, "I just got a clear view of exactly what he would like to do to Lucy."

"Is he going to hurt her?" Levy asks.

"Going by the look on that dude's face, I'd say no Levy." Cana says.

Cobra snorts, "Quite the opposite. Well, I suppose that depends on how rough he likes to get."

Many faces turn red. "Man I do not envy you," someone says.

Cobra catches Natsu's thoughts about his and Lucy's first meeting. Lucy treated him to food after breaking her out of that charm spell, he called her a weirdo, or Natsu thought it. He can't remember. He was too busy gorging on food. This weird-looking dude wields fire just like him, but it's blue. He can't help but wonder what it tastes like.

According to Lucy, the guy's fire isn't as hot as Natsu's. They're surprised at how Lucy is eating; she's always had better manners than that. All of them smile. There's the Lucy they know, doing something kind for someone because she can.

Present Mic's Voice: Dabi quirk: Blueflame, it allows him to control and manipulate extremely hot blue flames which are able to set forests ablaze and can burn large groups of people to a crisp.

"Well, if Lucy ever has to fight that guy, she can turn into Natsu and eat his flames," Mira says.

"Wait, Lucy can turn into Natsu?" Rufus asks.

"Oh, yeah. There're some things we haven't filled you in on." Mira grabs the previous discs and hands them off to Yukino. "Go ahead and take these. They're timestamped so when they're rewatched, intimate moments or atrocities can be avoided being seen."

Yukino blushes, "Intimate moments…"

Minerva glares at the men of the Sabertooth guild, "Don't worry, they won't be watching any of that."

Orga holds his hands up in surrender, "I don't know why you're focusing more on me."

Sting swings an arm around Yukino's shoulders, "Speaking of being intimate, Yukino is pregnant."

Mira squeals and pushes Sting off the bench so she can hug and congratulate her. The other women join in and the guys congratulate Sting. Minerva is asked when she and Rogue are going to become parents. Both of them blush and admit they've been trying.

While the women are preoccupied Sting goes up to Natsu, "So, you and Lisanna?"

"What? No!"

Sting taps his nose, "You know you can't lie to me." He grabs Natsu's arm so they can go talk somewhere more private. The only ones that will be able to overhear are the other dragon slayers, minus Wendy since she's not there.

Once outside Sting asks, "You do know that it's okay to move on and get out there, right?" When Natsu remains silent Sting continues, "You can't remain alone forever, and everyone will understand. You know as well as I do that Lucy would understand."

Natsu's shoulders slump, "I know… it's…"

"Hard, I know. But if we fail to find a way to get her ba- Ow! What the hell?"

Natsu is about to tell Sting how it's complicated but after that statement, he growls out "Fairy Tail isn't going to fail to find a way to get her home."

Sting rubs his swelling cheek, "I wouldn't expect anything less." What they both don't voice, is that even if they find her, who's to say she'll want to come back.

They go back inside, and everything is as normal as can be. Levy and Freed are filling Rufus, Minerva, and Yukino in on the thing called the internet. Warren is also there so he can ask Rufus if he would like to work with him and Hibiki to create something similar. He'd be a great asset with his memory-make magic.

When it's time to say goodbye, Sabertooth promises to watch the discs right away and pay close attention to anything someone might have missed. They'll also research and think about how the mystery guy can pull off such a thing. If the guy was following Lucy around, Cobra would be able to hear the fucker's soul.

"Yo! Cana! Are you okay?" Bickslow asks as he plops himself in a stool at the bar next to where Cana is sitting on the bar drinking wine from a barrel.

"Oh, you know. There's nothing like walking in on your boyfriend of a year and a half fucking some bitch." Cana doesn't bother keeping her voice low enough so Mira can't hear. The takeover mage has gotten better about interfering with others love lives and keeping what she learns to herself.

"Fuck." Bickslow accepts the beer mug Mira pushes his way. "Thanks, Mira."

"Of course." Mira smiles at them and walks away to serve others. She thinks to herself that the triangle between Natsu, Lisanna, and Bickslow is about to get messier. Whenever Cana and Bickslow drink together they go to the others apartment. As long as Gildarts is out of town.

"I went over to surprise him. After my job, I got rewarded with some kickass booze and went over to share it with him. When I got to the door, I heard what was going on but I needed to see it for myself. When I walked into the kitchen well, I'm sure you can use your imagination."

"Well fuck."

"Yes fuck. Speaking of, how about we get out of here?" Cana propositions Bickslow.

"Cana…"

"It's not like it'll be anything more than two friends fucking around unlike Natsu and Lisanna."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Natsu and Lisanna fooling around."

"Where did you hear that?"

"I may have been visiting my old man when Natsu stopped by. Either he didn't care I was there, or he thought my scent was still lingering around. Anyway, he asked the old man how to please a woman yadda yadda yadda."

Bickslow looks down into his mug, "Huh." Bickslow mulls Cana's offer over in his head. It's not like he and Lisanna are an official couple. Hell, they haven't spent time together in a while. She's always with Natsu, unless her siblings convince her to join them for family dinner. Which is nice for him because he doesn't feel like such a would it be 6th wheel? Mira, Freed, and Laxus are one couple. Elfman and Evergreen... Yup 6. Though it's not so bad with Rita. She loves his babies. Pippi especially loves Rita.

"Bickslow? Hey, you don't have to if-"

Bickslow chugs the rest of his beer, "Ah. Let's go."

Mira and the dragon slayers, minus Natsu, watch them go. Unlike Mira, they know Cana isn't lying. Mira thinks about how the love triangle is turning into a love square.

"Mira," Laxus breaks Mira out of her thoughts, "We're not going to stop you from talking to Lisanna because we know you want to. It's understandable, she is your sister, but you have to let her make her own decisions and learn what comes from them, even if the result of those decisions is bad."

Mira sighs, "I know, it's just…"

Freed is behind the bar rubbing her back, "She's your sister and you want to protect her and stop her from getting hurt."

"And hurting others," Mira adds.

"If it makes you feel any better, there's no feelings between Cana and Bickslow. Well, that I know of." Freed says looking to Laxus who shrugs. He doesn't know either.

"Whoa, that guy sounds like Jellal." Gray comments.

"I'm glad he's not here for this," Erza says.

Present Mic's Voice: Stain quirk: Bloodcurdle, it allows him to paralyze his target upon tasting a sample of their blood. The amount of time a victim remains paralyzed depends on their blood type. In ascending order from shortest to longest duration are O, A, AB, and B. The maximum amount of time that anyone can be paralyzed is 8 minutes.

"Another gross blood quirk," Lisanna says as she scrunches up her nose in disgust.

"Shit, Lucy's paralyzed." Bickslow puts in. Despite knowing what he knows about Natsu and Lisanna, he's feeling guilty about sleeping with Cana. He once had a crush on her bad that changed somewhere down the line.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." Laxus mutters under his breath. He doesn't care about what the guy is going on about. What he cares about is that Lucy is a sitting duck and there's no telling what the guy is really up to.

"Relax, he's not out to hurt her," Cobra informs all of them. Man does this dude have a chaotic soul. He has to give it to Lucy to be able to listen to it and the dude talk at the same time. She's going to have a big headache after this interaction.

"Oh, my Mavis, she's going to get caught!" Levy exclaims, her heart beating rapidly from the anxiety.

Everyone is on the edge of their seats. They know she gets out of there, but it doesn't make them less anxious. "Thank goodness."

So, the authorities weren't too thrilled about Lucy being a vigilante. They still find it bullshit they've labeled her a villain.

Lucy sees on the news that the cops caught the guild emblem on the cloak. Some people on the internet say it resembles a chocobo from a game called Final Fantasy.

The scene changes, and they watch as Lucy's groceries fall to the ground because a careless person bumps into her and does not bother to help her pick them up.

"Take a look at that guy! He has wings like us exceeds but they're red," Happy points out the obvious.

"The bird guy's favorite food is chicken…" Laxus deadpans.

Present Mic's voice: Hawks quirk: Fierce Wings, it granted him a pair of large, bright red, feathery wings on his back. These wings allow him to fly and he can telekinetically control the movement and nature of each individual feather with ease, enabling him to harden them into a blade-like state and/or shoot them as projectiles as well as control their speed and trajectory.

"Well, isn't he a flirt?" Mira says.

Levy giggles, "And Lucy isn't falling for it."

"He's the number three hero," Cobra tells all of them.

"Shit, if he were to find out…"

"It would spell trouble for Lucy."

"Fuck. What is up with all these fucked up childhoods?" Cobra asks mainly to himself. He doesn't mention the other thoughts running through feathers for brains head.

"Care to share with the class?" Gajeel asks.

Leaning back in his seat, Cobra crosses his arms, "Nope."

"I don't get why you're so secretive about these people. I mean-" Natsu huffs when he's cut off.

"Because I have a feeling it's not the last we'll see of them, and you'll get your answers later." To be honest, it'll be hard for Cobra to explain. They all have long, complicated pasts and he only knows of the parts he's heard in their souls.

"I hope we get to see that hunky bird again." Cana remarks.

The mailman walks in with a stack of requests.

"Well, looks like we're taking a break."

It's been a month and all of the requests along with others that came during that time are finished. Those that are left the members of the guild that haven't been watching Lucy's new life are capable of doing.

Natsu manages to find Cana in town and thankfully no other guild members are nearby, especially dragon slayers. He convinced Happy to hang out with Wendy and Carla. This is a conversation he doesn't want anyone to overhear. He's already risking Cana blabbing to the others about what he wants to talk about. Not that she means to. The times she goes past her limit, which takes a while to do, she has loose lips. But it was either her or Bickslow.

Laxus, as well as the Thunder Legion, would prod Bickslow with questions about what he wanted to talk to the Seith mage about. He doesn't want to risk Bickslow telling them because then Evergreen would tell Elfman who would tell Lisanna.

He finally spots her at a booth selling fruits. Weird. He figured her scent would lead him to a place that sells booze. How in the hell does he start this conversation? Neither has sought the other out to talk one-on-one about anything.

Though still unsure if this is a wise decision, he taps Cana on the shoulder anyway, "Hey Cana."

Cana turns her head surprised, "Hey Natsu. What are you up to?"

"Looking for you, actually."

Cana looks at him in confusion, "Why would you be looking for me?"

Natsu rubs the back of his neck, clearly nervous, "Could we uh, talk somewhere else?"

"Sure," Cana draws the word out, confused as to what's going on. She hands the amount owed to the vendor. "All right, let's go."

Cana leads him to a familiar street and an all-too-familiar apartment.

"You live here?"

"Yeah, I know we all agreed to let Ms. Landlady rent it out to someone else, and I didn't want it to go to some stranger so I moved in and have been using it when I need to get away from everything, especially Gildarts."

Memories hit Natsu like a ton of bricks as they walk up the stairs and into the apartment. He's surprised to see it clean and not like the room at Fairy Hills that Juvia had described.

Cana pays no mind to his reaction and tells him to sit down, and she takes a seat next to him. "Alright, Natsu. What's going on?"

Natsu blurts out, "Do you like Bickslow?"

Cana sighs, "Let me guess you smelled us on each other, right?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"It's no secret that you dragon slayers can tell when people have fucked by scent."

"Fucked… Lisanna called it making love…"

"Well, there is a difference. When two people fuck, there's no feelings there. When two people make love there is."

"So, you don't like Bickslow?"

"If I didn't like Bickslow in some way I wouldn't have fucked him Natsu. But if you're asking if I would date him, it's not like that between us."

"Why not?"

Cana shrugs, "It just isn't. Besides, he's in love with Lisanna."

"He's in love with Lisanna, but fucking you?"

"Listen, Bickslow and I only sleep together when we need a release. It's nothing more than that. But from what I understand Lisanna is trying to sort out her feelings about you and Bickslow. And, instead of spending equal time with the both of you to figure it out, you two have been fooling around for the past three months. Just so you know, I overheard your most recent conversation with Gildarts, asking about how it's supposed to be with a woman."

"Shit. You were there? I figured it was your scent lingering every time I went over."

"You said that even though the action felt good, it felt wrong. What felt so wrong about it?"

Natsu fidgets on the couch, "I don't know. I can't explain it."

"Okay… Natsu, how do you feel about Lisanna?"

Natsu looks down in his lap, "I don't know that either."

Cana pinches the bridge of her nose. Why her? And what the fuck was Lisanna thinking? All she did was confuse Natsu, who had slowly been getting over Lucy. Which was to be expected after watching her get closer to another man. Going that far with Lisanna should have waited until he was completely over Lucy, but her dumbass of a father didn't specify when he told Natsu to find himself some company that it should be no strings attached. When feelings get involved, it makes everything messy.

She slaps her knees and then stands up. "Here's what we're going to do. You need space from Lisanna to get everything sorted so you are going to go on a job with Gildarts and me. We leave tomorrow morning."

Natsu jumps to his feet and his eyes light up with excitement, "I get to go on a job with Gildarts?"

"Yeah, it'll be nice to have company other than the old man. Be at the guild by ten."

Natsu salutes her, "Aye sir." Then dashes out the door to go home and get ready. When was the last time he was this excited about something? He's going to find a way to thank Cana because Gildarts will be against it at first. Cana has him wrapped around her finger though so he'll agree when she says Natsu will be going with them. He can't wait to tell Happy.

The next morning everyone that is in the guild hall is startled by the doors being kicked open and slamming against the walls. They're shocked to see it's Natsu and not only that, but he seems to be in good spirits.

Natsu makes his way to the bar, "Good morning, Lisanna!"

"Good morning Natsu! What's got you in such a good mood?"

"I'm going on a job with Gildarts! Hey, can I get three orders of the breakfast special?"

"Excuse me Natsu?" Gildarts, who is at the other end of the bar, questions him. "I don't recall asking you to go on a job with me. Besides, I'm going on with Cana."

"I know! She invited me."

"Aye Sir!" Happy puts in.

Natsu leans over the bar to whisper to Lisanna, "Listen, I need space, and you need to spend more time with Bickslow."

"When do you think you'll be back?" Lisanna asks, slightly disappointed he'll be gone.

Shrugging Natsu says, "I don't know. It's a job with Gildarts and you and I both know it could take longer than a month. Speaking of don't hold off on watching the other discs when you're done with the one we're on. We can catch up later."

"Are you sure? I mean shouldn't Happy, Cana, and Gildarts get a say?"

Cana having just got to the bar responds, "I don't mind. How about you old man?"

"I don't mind at all. You kids ready?" Gildarts isn't too upset about Natsu tagging along. If anything, it'll be good for the guy. He's slowly been getting better but there's still hurt lingering in his soul. Considering the unexpected conversations he's had with Natsu, he expects it's more about not being able to apologize for treating her poorly even though it wasn't him that did so. In a way, he's thankful he wasn't there that fateful day. Not because he didn't want to live with the guilt a lot of the others are living with, but more so because it's scary to think of the damage he could have done. When Laxus talked about how it didn't make sense as to why the person who put runes around the guild didn't do so with everyone in the guild and proceeded to list the members who weren't affected, Gildarts asked why he wasn't on the list. Laxus shrugged, 'You're hardly around, I forgot about you.'

"Yo Gildarts! Are you coming?" Natsu shouts.

"Yeah. Yeah. Catch you guys later!"

Everyone in the guild shouts their farewells and tells them to come home safe.

Levy slams her hands on the table startling everyone, "So are we going to talk about the other stuff we learned and what happened before we got distracted with Lucy starting her path as Celeste?"

"Shrimp here has been dying about talking about that school the kids attend."

Puffing her cheeks, she gets out, "Excuse me for thinking they're on to something. I mean, imagine if there was a school for mages where they learned how to control the amount of damage done in a situation and learned other valuable information such as knowing how to read and do simple math."

Freed joins the conversation, "Indeed, I too am intrigued about that."

"How would one even go about starting a school like that?" Juvia asks.

"I don't know, I bet Master might know. Speaking of which, he hasn't been around in a while. Is everything okay with him?" Erza asks looking back and forth at Mira and Freed.

Mira answers her question, "Laxus is with him now catching him up, sparing him the details about the horrific situations Lucy has come across no matter how much Master demands him to."

"Let's not forget what we learned about the yakuza." Bickslow chuckles, "You should have seen the look on Laxus's face when Master told him he should be glad we weren't a yakuza, or else he would be missing a finger. The middle one to be exact."

"Now that we know more, I can understand why Lucy compared the group to us." Lisanna puts in.

"I'm really proud of her," Gray says softly. "As much as it sucked to watch her being in a real-life dangerous situation in the beginning, I was happy to witness that I got to see what she learned from our sparring sessions."

Juvia, who had gotten over calling Lucy her love rival says, "I was impressed she could use her spirits abilities without changing into the star dresses. It's a good thing too because she was correct in saying it wouldn't be a good idea catching too much attention."

"Explains why her "quirk" is shadows," Evergreen says.

Gajeel ponders, "I wonder how much longer though until everyone there learns about her."

Droy says, "It's crazy that Jiji and Ms. Yamamoto accepted Lucy's story so easily."

"Not really," Levy interjects, "You heard them. There's a teacher at U.A. that can suck people into a black hole."

"That is true," Erza agrees, "Like in their world full of quirks, there have been so many different kinds of magical abilities here we learned about through the years and I'm sure there's more we don't know about."

Wendy is next to pipe up, "I'm really interested in the way Ms. Yamamoto treated Lucy."

"Me too." Carla adds, "If we could learn more about that, Wendy and Ms. Porlyusica would be able to save their magic and energy for more dire injuries. Lucy was also correct saying we're all lucky to have them."

"Yeah, we are!" Bickslow exclaims raising his hand to high-five Wendy.

Sheepishly, Bisca admits, "I know they were really bad people, but I'm interested in the kind of guns they were using."

Alzack laughs, "She's gone on about those numerous times."

Bisca elbows Alzack in the ribs, "Shut up. You can't tell me you haven't either."

"Thank you by the way, for writing down the parts that aren't difficult to watch."

"Of course." Mira says. At that moment Cobra and Kinana walk in. "If it weren't for Erik we wouldn't know ahead of time."

The maroon-haired man growls, "It's Cobra, only Kinana can call me Erik. Now let's get this show on the road. I got to go on a job." He plops down on a stool and Kinana gets to work.

"Erik," Kinana says softly from behind the bar, "Let everyone finish what they're doing." She hands him a glass of bleach and fixes him a plate of pancakes with holly berries.

Alzack pats his daughter on the head, "Asuka is about done, aren't you sweetie?"

With a big grin she looks up at her father, "Yup!"

"Take your time, while we wait, we got to talk about what to do for Christmas and New Year's," Mira tells them.

The next hour is spent making plans for the holidays. Lisanna smiles at Bickslow when he sits at the bar in front of her. As she talks with him, she realizes that Natsu is right in needing space. She needs to get her feelings sorted out. While it was nice losing her virginity to someone she loves and trusts, it felt wrong… She also feels bad. If she knows Natsu as well as she thinks she does, then she left her friend more confused than he already was.

The guild members who don't stick around to watch leave and the others get comfortable. Their good mood doesn't last long when they get as pissed off as Lucy seeing the same man, she took down a while ago, back to what he was doing before getting locked up. Not only that but this is when Lucy killed someone for the first time.

Laxus just so happened to be walking in the guild during the part Lucy struggled to dislodge her arm she turned into an iron sword from a man's back. He stops in his tracks and watches. It's obvious whose magic she just used. He recognizes the man and clenches his fists at his sides. Isn't that what that one guy, what was his name? Stain? Had warned Lucy about? Lightning crackles along his body. Speak of the devil and he shall appear. He growls, "You fucking bastard," the same time Lucy says it.

The guild is silent as they watch everything play out and wait for what Stain will do. They're surprised and thankful that he doesn't hurt Lucy but at the same time they're pissed. He's known that awful man had been going around hurting women again and instead of stopping the bastard, he waited for Lucy to discover him committing the same crime as if he knew she would snap.

They can't help but cry with Lucy as she sits alone on the rooftop absorbing what she had done. After what seems like hours, her crying has subsided, and they're startled when Cobra covers his ears.

"Fuck is his soul chaotic." He lets out a chuckle through the pain, "Oh, this is good."

"What are you-" Gray is cut off by the sound of his own voice. "Why in the hell does he have a paper bag over his head?"

Present Mic's voice: Jin Bubaigawara quirk: Double, allows him to create an exact duplicate of anything, living or not. To duplicate something, he needed to know its precise measurements and characteristics. The clones didn't disappear; instead, they disintegrated into a mud-like substance after taking a certain degree of damage. The duplicates were less durable than the original, and the second duplicate was even less durable than the first.

Cobra snorts, "Damn that's fucked up."

Gajeel glares at Cobra, "You can't say shit like that and not tell us what you're talking about."

Gray says, "I'm just glad Natsu isn't here to see this."

Cobra leans back and crosses his arms, "Fine, I'll tell you but only because his story isn't as complicated as the others. His parents passed away while he was in middle school. Got a regular job as he grew older. He got in a motorcycle accident that injured an executive for one of his jobs' clients. His boss found out and fired him on the spot. He was shunned. Loneliness was the center of Jin's snapping. With no relatives, parents, friends, or work colleagues, Jin began to make friends with his clones. The number grew as time passed. After committing crimes with his clones left and right, one day Jin had each of his clones kill themselves in front of him which made him turn insane."

Lisanna's hands shoot to her mouth, "That's so sad."

They watch Lucy and Jin get closer, which isn't a surprise, and are left shocked that Lucy would tell him that in the end, she would hurt him. While they get it, he doesn't seem as dangerous as that Toga girl.

"I hate to say it, but it does kind of make Lucy an asshole."

"Erik!"

"What? All the guy wanted was a friend. He finally found one just for her to leave. And now as you can see," he waves his hand at the LacrimaVision, "We're back in April which is when she met Chisaki. Why him and not Jin?"

"Knowing Lucy, it was probably more for his protection than hers," Erza says.

"Not to mention, he sounds a lot like Gray. It has to be hard listening to someone talk that sounds like someone who she always considered as an older brother," Juvia adds.

Laxus says, "Well, there's nothing we can do. She made her choice and now we can only hope it doesn't come back to bite her in the ass."

"Now that's over with should we continue?" Elfman asks.

"In a sec," Laxus says, "Mira can you whip me something to eat?"

"With how Lucy and Chisaki's relationship has been progressing, I don't think you guys will be able to watch much of what is coming up," Evergreen says from behind her fan.

"You never know, something crazy could end up happening," Gray says.

Bickslow cackles, "Like Chisaki snapping from constantly getting cockblocked?"

Laxus snorts, "I'm surprised he hasn't already. Now, let's start the new year getting caught the fuck up."

I know it seems as if the drama within the guild is happening quickly but when in all reality this takes place in the course of months.

I'm not sure if I got Asuka's age right so if I didn't don't be shy about telling me.

Also, I know Jin's alias is Twice, but he won't be referred to as that until later.
