In front of Naruto stood dozens of jonin. They all stood at attention waiting for their Hokage to speak. Kakashi, Gai and Asuma stood in the front. Naruto stood up and walked over to the Hokage vault. Their faces went from curiosity to shock as he pulled out a tied up grey haired teen with glasses. Most of them recognized him from the chunin exams.
"Lord Naruto what's going on?" asked Kurenai. Naruto chuckled and they all thought he was starting to go crazy. "Aside from me, who in here has been jonin the longest?" he asked. They all looked around and Shikaku raised his hand. Naruto nodded. "And prior to the exams, have you ever seen this boy in our village?" It didn't take Shikaku long to think because truthfully, he's never even seen someone with that shade of hair aside from Kakashi.
"No i haven't" he replied. He then pulled out a deck of cards and selected one and channeled chakra into it. The jonin narrowed their eyes because those were the same cards the boy used in the first faze of the exam. "Kakashi, let me know if these statistics are correct. Minato Namikaze, Forth Hokage of Konoha has an affinity to lighting, wind and fire chakra. Has completed 40 c tank missions, 200 b rank missions, 400 a rank missions and 200 s rank missions. He is the Husband of Kushina Uzumaki and the father of Menma Uzumaki. Is that correct?"
"1000% correct" Kakashi replied starting to put the pieces together. "Now would anyone care to tell me how in the hell a genin could have access to this kind of information?" "A spy" Shikaku said gazing at the unconscious boy. All of the jonin nodded in agreement. "Tsume, what do you smell when you look at him?" Naruto asked. Her face immediately scowled and then her eyes widened. "Snakes" she said. Now that got everyone's attention. There was only 2 people who smelled like snakes and one of them was currently in the room clenching her fists.
"It appears that Orochimaru planted a spy in our ranks" he said. Everyone remained calm because Naruto put his hand up. "Inoichi" he called. Said man immediately knew what was being asked of him and he placed his hand on the boys head and activated his jutsu. A projection of chakra was casted on the wall and they all watched. They saw everything. From when he was orphaned as a child, to when he was looked after by a former root anbu, to when Orochimaru took him on as his right hand man. They saw the experiments, the mass killings, everything. It made them sick to no end.
They then saw the entire plan for the chunin exams. It was an invasion being planned to assassinate Hiruzen and Naruto. There was also a plan to capture Sasuke Uchiha. The projection ended soon after that and Inoichi wiped a bead sweat off of his forehead. "I say we kill this kid now to cripple Orochimaru's plans" Ibiki said. Naruto smiled evilly, which gave them all shivers. "No no, that wouldn't do much. I want Orochimaru to feel like he's in control. I want him to feel safe, but most importantly i want to kill him myself.
I will handle this boy and i want you to formulate a plan for the invasion Shikaku. Father whoever you need and make sure your plan is checked over from top to bottom." The man nodded and everyone slowly made their way out of the room. Naruto eyed the boy before turning around to the window. "Why do you insist on trying to sneak up behind me?" he asked. Jiraiya jumped through the window and he wasn't smiling but then he noticed the tied up boy and Naruto gave him a look that meant later. He sat up and waited for him to speak but that was when Tsunade chose to walk in. They both looked at her with curiousity. "Is this a bad time Jiraiya?" Completely ignoring Naruto.
"Uh I don't think so. Me and Naruto were-" "I was going to say that Shizune will be taking over the hospital while i train Sakura." Jiraiya looked between the two and shook his head. This was childish. "Tsunade can I talk to you outside?" he asked. She looked at him suspiciously but nodded, turning away. Jiraiya looked and Naruto once again and left a scroll on his desk before jumping out the window.
The two former teammates could be found at the bar and were drinking but neither of them said anything. Tsunade finally got irritated and decided to voice it. "Why did you invite me to drink with you? Surely you don't think just because me and Naruto aren't dating anymore that you have a chance now?" Jiraiya chuckled and took another sip of his drink. "I haven't been interested in you in nearly 40 years Tsunade. And me and Naruto are somewhat friends now and I would never do something like that to him."
"So-" "I'm not finished talking Tsunade. This thing with you and him is stupid. Its childish. I saw and heard everything that played out the other week. He had no choice but to use his authority over you because-" "Because what Jiraiya!? You were there when we found out Obito didn't return. You saw how heartbroken Minato, Kakashi, Rin and me were. You saw that! And where was Naruto? Oh that's right, he was still out on the battlefield because defending his village was more important than protecting his son."
"Because he still cares about you" Jiraiya said. "I'm going to let you in on a little secret. You know why Naruto didn't return when we heard the news about Obito? It's because he went to Iwa and killed any and everything he saw. Let's not forget for the longest time you kept him away from his son." "What was I supposed to do Jiraiya? Let Obito grow up to be like Naruto and Madara? I was supposed to let my baby become a cold blooded killer?"
"No, but you weren't supposed to take him away from his father. Do you know why the sharingan is so powerful?" "Because it's fueled off of love" she whispered. "So you knew of this and still did what you did?" She nodded sadly and Jiraiya sighed. "Look, I'm not going to come in between you two again because it's none of my business but just know he's not letting you go because he still loves you and if he loses you, he will lose himself for good."
Sasuke was sound asleep in his bed. He was probably dreaming about tomatoes or fighting. "Splash" he shot up quickly covered in ice cold water. He saw Naruto holding a bucket over him. "What the hell is wrong with you!?" "You said you wanted me to take you seriously. And now I am." "It's 4:30 in the morning. You could've just woke me up regularly!" "My father did this to me from age 4 until he left. I turned out fine and so will you." Sasuke paused. It was one of the rare times Naruto mentioned Madara.
He got up and changed his bed sheets and got ready. When he came downstairs Naruto was in his full armor drinking coffee. "Since when did you drink coffee, I thought it was for weak people" Sasuke mocked. "I haven't woken up this early in nearly 10 years. Shut up." Sasuke chuckled. "Where are we going?" Naruto raised his eyebrow. "If we were training in the backyard, you would've been outside already." "So you are smart" Naruto said sarcastically. "We're going to the Uchiha clan hideout. That's where I honed my skills and that's where you'll become a better shinobil."
"You really think I can become a better shinobi than you?" Sasuke asked. "No because I'm the pinnacle of what an Uchiha can be but you can be a close 2nd" he said with a smirk. "We'll see" Sasuke said confidently.
They made their way to the hideout and Sasuke has only ever been here once with his father so he wasn't familiar with it like Naruto was. They were walking down a dark hallway that was only lit by torches. They made it to a large metal door that Sasuke had never seen before and Naruto channeled his chakra through it. A large seal covered the door and it opened and Sasuke gasped.
Inside the room were dozens of weapons and armors. Coupled with scrolls and Uchiha artifacts. "My father built this hideout shortly after he found out my mother was pregnant with me. By that point he had lost all of his brother's and both of his parents to war. He wanted somewhere to train me in private and it was his way of showing he cared about me. Inside of here is every weapon he and I used in our respective battles. He used to tell me that you have a relationship with every weapon you own. And every weapon has a story. Some good and some bad. But if you kept them then you'd always remember what you did with it."
"Are you saying I can have one of your weapons?" Sasuke asked surprised. "I mean considering only Uchiha can wield them and there's only 3 of us left, i would hope you would use them" he said. Sasuke ignored his sarcasm and scanned his options. Sabers and ninjatos were too short and mallets and war hammers were too heavy and inconvenient.
He saw a black katana hanging on the wall and went to it and grabbed it. He swung it a few times and liked the way it felt. "What's the story behind this one?" he asked. He turned to Naruto and saw Naruto with a far away look on his eyes as if he was remembering something. "The blade was originally made for my son and I was going to give it to him after he made chunin but... I only used that blade once and it was during the 3rd shinobi war. After I found out my son was killed by Iwa shinobi, I went there and killed everything in sight."
He assumed Sasuke would put the katana back and choose a different weapon but he was pleasantly surprised when he just gripped the blade tighter. "This is the one" he said. Naruto just shook his head and chuckled. "Let's begin" he said.
"So what am I going to learn today cyclops?" Menma asked. Kakashi ignored the insult and held out his hand. "This" A spiraling blue ball of chakra formed in his hand and ran to a tree and upon contact, the tree exploded. He turned around to see Menma looking at him like he was the second coming of kami. He laughed sheepishly and began training him.
It was about 1 week until the finals and Sasuke was panting heavily. His clothes were cut and he was bruised heavily. You would think he got his ass kicked, which he did but he was proud of it because he made Naruto activate his sharingan. It was only 1 tamoe but those eyes opened nonetheless. Naruto dropped him off at the hospital to get treated even though he insisted he was fine. He was sitting in the hospital room awaiting his treatment. He was progressing way faster than he ever has. Turns out Naruto was actually a good teacher when he wasn't playing around.
He heard a knock and he ushered the person in and to his surprise Tsunade Senju walked in. Wasn't she Naruto's- "Sasuke Uchiha correct?" He heard her ask. He perked up. "Yeah that's me" he replied. "Could you please tell me what happened that lead to you being in this condition?" "Well i was training with my Sensei to prepare for the finals and i guess I got banged up in the process." "He must be some kind of sensei to beat up on a genin" she said looking over his injuries. He was about to retort but saw her gaze aiming at the black sword that was leaning by the door.
She picked it up and examined it. There was a name carved into the hilt of the sword. "Where did you get this?" she asked softly. "The Uchiha clan hideout. Naruto gifted it to me" he said carefully, not knowing what was going on. "He did huh? This must've been what he was trying to give him all those years ago" she said. "Not that it's any of my business but were you and Naruto-?" "Yes me and Naruto were together for around 20 years. We had a child together at one point and I'm assuming this gift was for our son when he made chunin" she said.
Sasuke was put in an awkward position. He had grown accustomed to the katana and genuinely liked it but it was originally for her son so technically she had a right to take it back. Seeing his wariness she smiled softly and handed it to him. "I know who you are Sasuke. And I know you know who I am so let's not act like strangers."
"So you're not going to take it back?" he asked. "I'm not a swordsman and my son can't use it now. I know how much things of sentimental value mean to Naruto so if he gifted it to you, then you deserved it." Sasuke remained quiet at that. "He used to talk about you a lot when i was younger" he said quietly as she was healing him. "Oh yeah? About what?" she asked.
"He'll probably kill me for telling you this but he would always go on about losing the love of his life because that's how we were able to connect because of our clan you know" he said. Remembering what he was referring to she nodded. "And I remember some nights when i had nightmares, he would tell me stories about how you and him on the battlefield taking down enemies." She chuckled at the boy. "Times were different back then. Imagine fighting a war side by side with your girlfriend and killing a jincuriki" she said.
"But there was also nights when he would get drunk in his office and I would peak in and he would be crying looking at pictures of I'm guessing you and him." She remained quiet at that and finished healing him. "Well you're all good to go Sasuke. I wish you the best of luck and take care of that gift. It's very special" she said. Sasuke nodded in thanks and left. When the door closed she leaned up against the wall and clutched her necklace. She needed to get ready to train Sakura tomorrow.
Timeskip to Chunnin Exams Finale
Naruto sat in the Hokage booth awaiting the other Kage. He didn't have any anbu with him because they were going to get in his way. Down below were the contestants. Menma, Sasuke, Shino, Yugito, Shikamaru, Temari, Neji, Lee and Gaara. Shikamaru sighed. He really didn't want to compete today. He was fully prepared to skip the exams and sleep all day but his mother had other plans. Yugito surveyed her competition.
There were only 2 people she were worried about. The blonde boy and the redhead. They were just like her according to Matatabi. The one tails and the 9. Neji was staring a hole through Menma's skull and Gaara was slowly starting to lose patience. Back in the contestants booth Naruto smelt a lovely fragrance that he hadn't smelt in a while. "So the rumors are true? You did become Kage" that sultry voice of Mei's said. Naruto turned around and had to hold back the nosebleed he was about to have. There she stood with her Kage robe that hugged her figure just right.
"Ahem" she stated. Naruto quickly met her eyes and laughed nervously. He stuck his hand out. "It's nice to see you again Mizukage-Sama and you too Ao." Mei looked at his hand before going in for a hug. Naruto after getting over his shock, returned the gesture. "You didn't think that lousy marriage proposal would change the way I feel about you did you?" she said into his ear. "Honestly, with your track record, I didn't know what to expect" he said. "Well I hope we're not interrupting anything" came the voice of Anoki. "No, not at all. We were just catching up Lord Anoki. They shook hands and the Raikage followed suit.
"Where's the Raasa? Surely he'd want to see his children compete" asked Mei. "Knowing him, he probably didn't show up. Wouldn't want to see his children get embarrassed" Ay said with a smirk. "Well contrary to what you think, my kids will do just find." They all looked to see Ramada being accompanied by Baki. "Greetings Kazekage-Dono" Naruto said extending his hand which the man shook. "I'm quite interested in the last Uchiha. If its true that you trained him, I have no doubts that he'll be the favorite to win the exams" Mei said. Naruto smirked, "who knows." Raasa looked keenly at Sasuke. The mark was sealed! No worries, with his desire for revenge, Sasuke would surely come and seek him out for power.
They all took their seats as Genma made the announcements. "Would Temari and Shikamaru stay down here and the rest of the contestants make their way back into the contestants booth?" Shikamaru tried to sneak away with the group but was pushed back by Menma. "Damn troublesome blonde" he muttered.
"He's quite the lazy one" said Mei. "He sure is but believe it or not, his mind is levels above his peers." "He's no match for Temari but this should be interesting. A chess match maybe" Raasa said.
"That boy never seizes to amaze me" Asuma said from inside the contestants booth. "Ugh if he wasn't so smart, I swear he'd still be in the academy" Ino said frustrated looking at her teammate. "And where is your sensei Menma?" Kurenai asked. "He said he had something to take care of before coming here." "I hope you make it to the finals with me because I'm going to kick your ass" Sasuke said with a smirk. Menma smirked back. "You're just lucky you have a free round. If I faced you now, you wouldn't be able to make it to the finals. But now you won't have an excuse when I beat you." "Guys relax. You'll both do great" Sakura said.
A large gust of wind caused everybody's hair in the crowd to blow back and they were surprised. This girl was strong. The match went on for another 30 minutes with Shikamaru finally outsmarting Temari but giving up in the end when he ran out of chakra.
Ino banged her head against the rail. "That lazy idiot!" she screamed. Asuma had to chuckle. That kid had a long way to go but he has a good head on his shoulders.
Anoiki had to give the kid credit. He knew when he was in over his head. The Raikage on the other hand wasn't pleased with him giving up but he wasn't his shinobi so he didn't care that much. "Surely all of your ninja won't waive their white flags today Naruto"Mei teased. Naruto sighed. "Trust me, my student will win this entire thing" he said.
The next two were Menma and Neji and Naruto like everyone else was interested. Just how much did Kakashi teach him? He knew Neji was already chunin material. Gai was an idiot but he sure was one hell of a teacher. It was only a matter of time before he promoted him.
Naruto looked into the stands and saw multiple shinobi he didn't recognize but he didn't say anything. He silently activated his eyes and pulled Mei, Anoiki and Ay into his genjutsu. "Genjustu? What's the meaning of his?" asked a confused Anoiki. "I'm about to tell you something important but you must stay calm" Naruto said. "Why isn't Raasa in here?" asked Mei. "That's what I'm about to tell you. That's not Raasa. It's Orochimaru." "What!" All three other Kage said simultaneously.
"Where's your proof?" Ay asked. "When have you known Raasa to speak that much? Let alone about his kids. Not to mention his eyes. They're yellow with slits. And besides, I captured his right hand man not too long ago and went through his memories. I know for a fact it's him." "So why don't we just kill the snake now? It's 4v1" asked Mei. "Because i alredy came up with a plan and my jonin are in on it. Jiraiya is at the village gates waiting on my signal. We will only act when Orochimaru gives his signal. I don't care if you help or not. It's not your battle so you can leave if you have to but leave Orochimaru to me" he said seriously.
They all looked at each other waiting on someone to speak up first. "Well you did save my village from Yagura so I guess I owe you a favor" Mei said. Naruto nodded at her. "I guess I could use the workout. I'll take out any enemy shinobi i see as I leave the village" Ay said. Naruto could accept that. Anoiki sneered at Naruto. "I still haven't forgotten what you did to us in the last war. You and that damned 4th Hokage. I will not stay but I'll take out anybody that gets in my way" he said. "Great" Naruto said.
He ended the genjutsu which only lasted about 5 seconds in the real world.
In the contestant's booth Kakashi appeared in a poof of smoke. "You're late!" Sakura screamed. Everyone covered their ears. "I was actually handling some errands the Hokage gave me" he said. The jonin Sensei knew what he was referring to. Gai appeared next to him with a smile. "Kakashi look at our students basking in the springtime of their youth! "Yes Gai Sensei is right! We should all be inspired by this youthful matchup. Who's teachings will prove to be the best!" Lee said. Kakashi sighed as everyone else tried to ignore the two.
Gaara was growing restless and his siblings could tell. He wanted to kill something but the signal wasn't being given yet. They just hoped it would be soon so they could get the hell out of there and release the beast.
Hiruzen sat in the crowd with his grandson. Konohomaru was infatuated with Menma and aspired to be like him one day. But he was more so worried about the upcoming events. He would have to escort him and the others to safety. It pained him to not fight for his village considering that's what he's done for the better part of 50 years. But at his age now, he would only get it the way and while he could take out a high level jonin, even a kage, his stamina dampened his abilities and Konoha had more than enough fire power.
He watched as Neji took his headband off and showed Menma the disgusting seal he had on his forehead. He was beating Menma pretty convincingly. He then watched as Menma responded by attacking his blind spot and catching Neji off guard and punching him. Neji got back up and started to shut down his chakra points and everybody thought it was over. But somehow Menma responded by forming the rasengan. Everyone from the older generation gasped and some even stood up. Hiruzen dropped the pipe he was smoking.
"No way you taught a genin that!" Kurenai said. "I learned it when I was his age. I don't see the problem" Kakashi replied. "What's the big deal about that jutsu anyway?" Ino asked. "That's the signature jutsu created by the Fourth Hokage" Asuma said shocked. The genin gasped and Yugito started to put the pieces together. Was he the? Her eyes widened and she turned to Kakashi who was giving her an eye smile. It was a warning to keep her mouth shut.
"Rasengan!" they heard "Rotation!" The two jutsu's collided and a mini explosion rang in the arena. When the smoke cleared, both boys were laying on the ground exhausted. Clothes singed in all. "You can change your fate Neji. We're more alike than you like to admit." Menma's seal was visible on his stomach and Neji looked at it in confusion. "The 4th Hokage sealed the beast into me the night of the attack. I never let it control my life. All of the villiagers ignored me and I didn't have the family that you do. Hinata loves you. If she didn't she would use that seal against you every time you tried to hurt her."
"So you're saying I can change my fate and that I shouldn't let my seal control my life?" Neji asked fading. "Exactly" Menma said passing out as well.
The crowd then erupted in cheers. That was a fantastic match. Gai was crying, as was Lee. "He almost beat Neji" Tenten said beside Sakura with a shocked look on her face. Sakura was smiling because Menma was proving everyone wrong. Sasuke while upset that Menma lost, he more than certainly earned his respect and that jutsu he used at the end. That was destructive.
In the kage booth, the Kage were all impressed. Naruto had to hold back a smirk. The brat almost did it. "That boy looks eerily similar to Lord 4th" Ay said. That caught all of the other's attention. "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck" Naruto said. Their eyes widened. "So his brat learned that jutsu" Anoiki said with a bitter taste in his mouth.
"Oh he's grown since i last saw him. Still innocent but with a lot more power" Mei said chuckling.
Gaara and Rock Lee were called into the area. Menma and Neji were carted off to the infirmary. It was around 10 minutes before a nurse came in and he had to stop the blush that was about to appear on his cheeks. It was Tsunade. "Hmmm Menma I saw your match out there. I'm guessing Kakashi or the pervert taught you the Fourths jutsu." "Kakashi Sensei did" he said smiling. "If I may ask, why did you fight so hard? Your chakra points were practically closed and you didn't use that other chakra."
He figured she would know about the 9 tails considering she was a Sannin. "It's because I want to be acknowledged by the village and one day become Hokage!" he said defiantly. She paused at that. She could've sworn she saw her little bother. "The Hokage is a fools job squirt. It'll lead to nothing but heartbreak in the end."
"That's not true. Broody is uplifting the village more than I thought it could've ever been!" "You're referring to Naruto?" "Yeah. He was the first person to acknowledge me and my fist Sensei. He believed in me when nobody else did." "Hmm, it seems like you and him are close" she said. "Of course! He's like an uncle. Just a very old and brooding one" he said. She giggled at that. "What's so funny?" "Oh it's nothing, I just remembered when we were younger and he would say the same thing about my uncle and grandfather.
"You knew him when he was a kid?" Menma asked. "Of course, you didn't think he got that strong by himself." "Now that you mention it, he did talk about some blonde with big boobs." "Ouch!" Menma said as he held his head. Tsunade was blushing up a storm. "Manners young man" she scolded him.
In the arena, Lee had just dropped his weights and was kicking Gaara around the arena. He was already in the process of letting Shukaku take over. "AHHHHHH!" Gaara let off a demonic scream and then all of a sudden feathers started to fall. An explosion in the Kage booth sounded off and a purple berrier appeared. Sound and sand ninja started flooding the village. "Guys remember what we discussed yesterday? Its time!" Kakashi said looking at all of the genin. They all sprung into action.
Sasuke saw the sand trio exiting the area heading toward the woods. He looked at Kakashi and the jonin nodded and that was all he needed to see. He took off after them. "Go with him Lee, he'll need back up!" Gai said. "Yes Gai Sensei" Lee said and took off after them.
Once the smoke cleared, Orochimaru held Naruto in the barrier. The other Kage observed and went into their own accords. Mei was the only one who stayed and gave Naruto a look that meant don't die. She then proceeded to go help fight off the enemy. "Kukuku, it's been years since I've seen you Naruto. You knew I was here the whole time and you still didn't act until I did. You're more like sarutobi sensei than you'd like to admit."
The Naruto in front of him exploded but Orochimaru didn't move. He just melted into mud. Both kage level shinobi appeared on opposite sides of the building. "You know you can't beat me. You never could, so unless you have some trick up your sleave, you are going to die a lot quicker than I would like."
"As cocky as ever. But I infact do have a trick and I'm sure you'll love it." He went through hand seals that Naruto immediately recognized. "Edo-Tensei!" Orochimaru said and slammed his hands on the ground. 2 coffins rose up and Naruto subconsciously activated his mangekyo sharingan. Both coffins exploded and everyone who was watching from outside of the berrier gasped. Out walked the First and Second Hokage.
"Orochimaru, after I deal with them, I'm going to torture you and wipe you off the face of earth" Naruto said. "Madara" Hashirama said looking at Naruto. "No sensei, I'm not my father." "Naruto what is the meaning of this? Where is Sarutobi?" Tobirama asked. "Hello to you too old man. You've been brought back from the dead for an invasion. I'm sure you know the jutsu. And your student gave me the hat a few months ago." "Haha I knew my student would become Hokage!" Hashirama said. Naruto sweat dropped. Definitely still an idiot.
"The edo tensei huh? How would he have come across it if it's in the scroll of seals?" Tobirama asked. "Blame your student" Orochimaru said from behind them. He then slipped sealed Kunai into the back of their heads ans they stopped moving.
"Kukuku, you don't seem worried" Orochimaru said to Naruto. "You know to be hailed as a genius, you are really really stupid. But there's no point in talking, send them". "Naruto do us a favor and send us back to the pure land quickly" Hashirama said. They dashed towards him and engaged in a viscous 2 on 1 taijutsu fight. Naruto could tell they weren't at their full power because they could've broken the control by now.
It was a stalemate at this point because their teamwork was that good and Naruto couldn't keep them off of him. He kicked Hashirama away and nearly gasped when Tobirama flashed right in front of him. "Crap" he said as he was kicked hard. He flipped and skidded on the roof. A large wave of water sailed toward him and he sensed another pulse of chakra. He formed one hand seal and spewed out a giant wave of fire. Smoke flooded the barrier but Naruto swung his gunbai and destroyed the wooden vines that were trying to wrap around his legs.
Tobirama flashed in front of him again but Naruto anticipated it and slapped him with the gunbai sending him crashing into the building. Hashirama was upon him in an instant. Naruto ducked a kick and swung at his leg. It blew off and reformed instantly. He kicked in back sending him crashing into Tobirama. The bothers clasped their hands together and formed identical water dragons. Naruto sighed. This was going to be a long day.
Tsunade instructed the injured contestants to stay put as she went out to help. She saw a purple barrier and her eyes widened when she saw who was all in it. "That bastard!"
Anoiki and the Raikage had since long left the village. Jiraiya was handling the summons. Konoha's jonin were slashing through the enemy and Mei was melting anything in sight.
Sasuke had just put his sword through Gaara's shoulder. Lee took the opportunity to kick Gaara as hard as he could, sending him crashing into a large boulder. His siblings were neutralized already. "No, no no no! I will not cease to exist. Mother wants your blood!" They felt a ginormous spike of chakra and a mountain of sand started to form. Both boys cursed. The one tails was formed! "Hahaha, I'm free!" it said. It then looked down and saw the duo and sneered. "You two puny humans are going to pay!"
Sasuke was formulating every posible outcome in his head. He then remembered what Naruto said about jinchuriki's. Unless it's a perfect jinchuriki, the host and biju can't be out at the same time. "Lee, we have to wake Gaara up!" "Okay, can you distract him for a moment?" Sasuke nodded.
He went through hand seals and blew out a large fire dragon. It crashed into beast but did little damage. "Haha, your insignificant attacks won't hurt me! Try this!" Shukaku said blowing out wind bullets. Sasuke dodged the massive projectiles. The ground shook upon contact. "Lee hurry up!" he said. He then saw Lee explode with green chakra. He watched as Lee moved and the ground under him cracked. Lee ran directly at the beast and Sasuke saw it about to swing at Lee.
He coated his sword in lightning and moved quickly. He cut the biju's arm off. Lee kicked it in the face causing it to stumble back. "You brats!" Sasuke then went through about 20 hand seals as fast as he could. "Fire Style Majestic destroyer flame!" Lee had to jump back as a massive wave of fire crashed into the beast. "Now!" Sasuke said as Lee ran up the belly and saw Gaara unconscious at the top of his head.
He reared his leg back and kicked Gaara as hard as he could. It was instant, Gaara's eyes shot open and Shukaku started cursing.
Naruto had enough of this. He activated his Mangekyo and everything slowed down for him literally. A golden ribcage formed around him and he went through handseals and held both of his hands out and slapped both Hokage in the stomachs. They began to weather away but not before saying thank you. He then turned to Orochimaru who looked like he had seen a ghost. He began to back away slowly but reached the berrier and cursed. Naruto approached him slowly with his eyes bleeding heavily. He looked almost demonic.
"I told you I was going to kill you Orochimaru. You invaded my village and marked Sasuke, there's nothing you can do to escape now." "Drop the berrier!" he said. As soon as they did, he had to jump out of the way of a massive attack. The roof exploded. He ran as fast as he could. Cutting and everything down in the process. He didn't care about his subordinates, he could get new ones. He just had to get away from him!
Pain was the only thing that could be described next. He felt a punch to his face that sent him flying in the opposite direction. He looked up an saw an enraged Tsunade coming directly at him. He turned around and saw Naruto standing there with that golden aura around him. There was only one thing he could do. He quickly summoned Manda. "Go!" he screamed. He disappeared as both attacks nearly hit him. A large cracking sound was heard and when the smoke cleared, Tsunade's fist was indented into Naruto's susano rib cage. She looked into those eyes and felt chills.
She couldn't move! "Are you okay Tsunade?" she heard him ask. "Y-yeah are you?" He said nothing as the susano disappeared and he walked away. She stood there as her hand was still trembling. Was she too late?
The following week, funerals were held for all of the lives lost in the invasion. The village was in the process of being rebuilt and in Naruto's office stood several newly promoted chunin and their sensei. Lee, Menma, Sasuke, Neji and Shikamaru. Jiraiya left not too long after the invasion to do kami knows what. Mei left too but not before giving Naruto one last night to remember.
Sasuke and Menma were left in the room with Naruto and he watched as they argued like idiots. Everybody else left to do their own thing. He'd talk with Gai and a Kakashi later. A knock was heard at they stopped arguing as Tsunade walked in. The boys instantly went silent which Tsunade noticed but didn't comment on it. "Can i speak with you in private Naruto?" she asked. The boys looked at him waiting for his word and he looked at them like they were stupid.
They immediately got the hint and left the room. "What is it that you need Tsunade?" "So you and Mei are getting awfully close again?" "I guess you can say that but it was just more of a goodbye." She nodded her head. "I'm sorry for letting him escape" she said. Naruto shook his head. "I stalled the fight out with the Hokage. I gave in to my lust for a good battle" he said. "We will catch him and he will pay." He paused as he felt a chakra signature.
She saw the look on his face and It instantly worried her. He shot out of the window. "Naruto!" she screamed as she followed him. He ran, he ran as fast as he could. He made it to the outskirts of the village with Tsunade tailing him. He stopped when he saw a figure with an orange mask. He had on the Akatski cloak but Naruto was more concerned about the chakra he was feeling. "Naruto what the hell is going on?" Tsunade said finally catching up to him.
"Tsunade, sense his chakra" Naruto said almost robotically. She did and her eyes widened. "No" she whispered. Chuckling could be heard coming from the man. "So we finally meet again" he said. "I don't know if this is some kind of sick game but reveal yourself before i make you" Naruto said. "It's nice to see you again but I wouldn't take orders from a man like you."
"You, that chakra! I thought you were-" "Dead?" the masked man said bitterly. He reached up to his face and removed his mask. Naruto dropped to his knees. Tsunade covered her mouth as she saw his face. "Obito?"she whispered. "Yes mother, I'm alive" he said. Her eyes began to water. But the boulder! I thought you were crushed" Naruto said finding a hard time believing what he was seeing.
"You never even looked for me. You assumed I was dead." Naruto didn't know what to say. "Obito where have you- how did you?" Tsunade couldn't even formulate a sentence.
"Well thanks to grandfather, I survived. He told me all about you father." If there was any doubt about who he was talking about, all of that was shot out of the window now. "What are you talking about?" Naruto asked.
"I thought I was for sure going to die when that cave collapsed but I woke up again. To my surprise I was found and saved by my grandfather who I thought was long dead. He taught me the brutal and harsh truths about the shinobi world. He trained me to be the perfect shinobi and entrusted me with his will." "Why didn't you come back?" Tsunade basically pleaded. "Why would i? My team was the reason I almost died and aside from you, nobody gave a damn about me!"
" Lies! I cared about you!" Naruto said. "So where were you? You knew I was alive in the village and yet you only visited me a handful of times!" He looked at Tsunade with the most betrayed face. "It was good to see you again mother. Maybe one day we can be on the same side again" he said before disappearing into a swirling vortex. "Obito!" she screamed. Tears freely flowing down her face. She then turned to Naruto who had not moved an inch. "Naruto I'm sorry" she said. "Save it" he said. He disappeared himself and left her alone in tears.
