Luffy
My dreams were vivid,there was so much blood but I was the only one around,was this my blood,it had to be. I looked down towards my chest and noticed a sword had been run through me,I couldn't feel it though. Some times I can't tell dreams from reality,after all I can't feel pain in either. The few times I have felt pain confused me,is there more to it than I realize.
Can I feel pain if it's caused in a certain way? That seems to be the case,at least it used to be.Although recently I haven't even felt those small spurts of pain,is it getting worse,how? If only I could remember that day better,maybe I'd understand what is actually going on with my body.The only person that might have answers though, unfortunately is my worlds Shanks,and I'm don't want to be anywhere near him.
My dream become a bit more intense,I kept being impaled by sharp objects,more and more blood was pooling around me. I could even see my organs falling out of my body,I never moved either,it's like I was stuck in one spot. When I looked up I saw my reflection,I tried to run since I'm scared of mirrors but I couldn't,I stared into this mirror as my body eventually became unrecognizable. My vision eventually went dark,in my dream when I could finally see again I saw my reflection in the mirror again,but this time I was unscathed.
However I was still stuck,and it repeated,I kept getting brutally killed,everything would go dark for a moment and when I came to I was unscathed,it just kept repeating. For some reason it wasn't the dying one moment then being fine the next that scared me. Is it because deep down I wanted to die,and I'm terrified of the idea of not being able to do so?
I woke up to Shanks lightly shaking me,at first I jumped at this,he must of noticed this before he immediately backed away from me.I wish my worlds Shanks was more like him,maybe my world would be in a better state if that were the case.
"Sorry didn't mean to scare you kid,you looked like you were having a nightmare." His caring nature still confused me,but it's not unwelcome.
"No you're fine,thank you for waking me up." I looked at the clock and saw it was 9:13pm.
"I've been trying to wake you up for almost 15 minutes,but you wouldn't stir,whatever nightmare you were having must of been intense."I nodded, I was still to adjust to my surroundings. That dream felt so….. real,it scared me.
"Yeah but I'm used to nightmares so it doesn't bug me as much." That was half truth half lie, I did constantly have nightmares,but that one really bugged me.
"Anyway I'm going to take you to your room,perhaps you'll sleep better in an actual bed,I can't imagine sleeping on a couch is all that comfortable." He offered a hand to help me up,I looked at his outreached hand wearily but took it anyway. Standing proved to be difficult,my powers drained to much of my stamina.
"Come on you can do it,just walk along with me." For whatever reason when he said that something in me felt strange,and I was able to walk. It wasn't difficult anymore,other Shanks seemed happy with this as he lead me to my room. I didn't realize this at first but this place is huge!Eventually we stopped in front of a door,Shanks opened it and my jaw dropped.
I could see a huge city that we towered over,just what floor are we on? Shanks led me to the bed in the middle of the room and I started to feel sick, I kept reminding myself that this isn't the same Shanks, this one might not do that. To my relief Shanks just helped me to the bed and took a few steps back.
"Well I'm going to bed,you rest up,I'll have one of the maids bring you breakfast in the morning." With that said he walked out the door wishing me goodnight.
I was tired but I couldn't sleep,that nightmare was all I could think about.Now that I actually think about it I don't get hurt all that often anymore,not that I can feel it,as what little feeling I had before was now snuffed out.However I've noticed that if I get a small scratch it's gone soon after,I know my body heals fast but this is starting to be a whole new level. Also it felt like in that dream,it was like my subconscious was trying to tell me something.I didnt want to dwell on it any longer instead I opted to go to sleep.
2 weeks later
Most of my strength has returned,this worlds Shanks is awesome. My whole time here he's been hanging out with me playing board games,catch,we watched movies together.He showed me things I didn't even know existed,like he helped me learn how to play card games.All in all I've had fun with him, and it seems he enjoys hanging out with me, I wonder why that is.However the fun has to stop soon, I can't stay here forever,I have to find my brothers.Who knows where they are and I have an infinite amount of dimensions to search,how am I going to find them?
I was pacing my room thinking when Shanks opened the door.Following him were a few of his staff,one of the lady's I've become quite fond of,her name was Makino,she was very sweet to me she kinda reminded me of mom…. I need to leave, I'm becoming complacent.
"Hey Luffy want to go swimming with me,my gang is having a pool party and you're invited!"I want to stay so bad this place is so peaceful and comforting,but that would be selfish.
"I'm sorry not now maybe some other time,there's something I need to do today."It's true there is something I need to do,but I really don't want to do it.
"Oh ok,some other time then,well how about when I get back we hang out for a bit?" I have No desire to lie to him,but I can't tell him the truth either.
"I'm sorry Shanks I can't it's something that will take awhile to do."He frowned and I hated to see him frown it made me feel like I was hurting him somehow.
"We will hang out again at some point though,it just might be awhile." I smiled at him, I do plan on hanging out with him again,I really do like his company.
"Ok then,I guess I better be off,the guys will be suspicious if I'm late,but Luffy before I go could I perhaps have a hug?"He seemed nervous when asking this question,and honestly the question made me nervous as well,I don't normally let people touch me,but this is goodbye so I guess I'll give him a hug.
"Ok but just one hu-"He cut me off by running right into my arms hugging me tightly,then he whispered to were his staff couldn't hear.
"You're leaving aren't you,it's ok I won't stop you,j-just be safe,I really care about you,ya know…."I could tell he was upset but he was trying so hard to hide it. I nodded and whispered back to him.
"I'll come back at some point I really have enjoyed hanging out with you,but for now you need to go before you're late."He reluctantly let go of me and smiled.
"See you later Luffy,I wish you luck." I smiled at him.
"Yeah see ya,don't cause to much trouble." He pouted.
"I don't cause trouble." It was kinda cute.
"Bye Shanks." It hurt to say for some reason, maybe I wanted to stay more then I realized.
"Bye Luffy." He slowly backed away and turned around his servants closing the doors behind him. I waited for a good ten minutes before opening a portal.I stared at it sorrowfully,but knowing I couldn't keep it open forever I walked through it,it closing swiftly behind me.
I was in the middle of a clearing in a forest,I could see a city in the distance,I sighed and decided to walk towards it.It looked like something I'd seen in a book,there were trees with pink petals,people with large hats and what looked like dresses,just where am I exactly?I bet I look odd to them,I went back to what I used to wear but I had a gray shirt with long sleeves and two belts crossing each other,my boots weren't high tech but they were still knee high.I no longer had googles and my cloak didn't have a hood.
I did get some strange looks but I ignored them and kept walking,At some point two men with swords stopped me.Noticing that they spoke another language,I used my powers to translate,so to me and me alone they spoke English.
"Halt,you don't look like you're from around here,stat your business."I scanned this worlds laws so I found out that this is a typical reaction,and these guys are called police.I used my abilities so they would perceive my speech as there own.
"I'm sorry I'm a bit lost,I'm afraid I don't know where I am."They didn't look satisfied with my answer.
"Are you an enemy spy?!"These guys didn't listen to me at all.
"Enemy spy? I don't even know you guys or where I am in the first place,how can I be a spy?"They just growled at me.
"It's clear you aren't from here,your outfit alone is prof of that,you look like some lost apocalyptic warrior!"HA now that's some irony,because I actually AM.
"I didn't realize my outfit was strange,but this is all I own."It's true this outfit came from my own dimension,and because of that I'm unable to edit it.
"Well we'll just have to take you to the shogun and have him decide if you are lying or not." Shogun, what on earth is that?
"If it'll clear my name or whatever sure,you aren't listening to me anyway."They demanded I put my hands up and held me at Sword point and told me to head to the palace,which I'm guessing is the biggest building in the city.I started walking there,the citizens just watched and whispered,I just had a look saying I wasn't very impressed.I probably just looked bored to them.
We arrived at the palace,in all honesty it looked pretty boring,it was kinda empty.Laws castle was a lot more lavish,this one just looked kinda plain. The police brought me to a large room with a throne, and sitting on that throne was a man with purple hair black rings around his eyes,and a crown that was also a mask?
"Shogun Spandum sir we found this man wandering the streets,he doesn't appear to be from here,he claims he's just lost." One of the guards spoke, the man on the throne looked me up and down.
"Ah I see that is a bit suspicious,tell me how old are you,you look rather young to be walking the streets alone?"I don't know if my age can help this situation, but may as well try.
"I'm sixteen sir." I showed no signs of hostility, I just want my name cleared and to be left alone.
"That is rather young,tell me where are your parents?"Is this a game of answer a hundred questions?
"They are gone sir,I lost my mother when I was young and I lost my father last year,I've just been wondering around ever since,after all I have no where to go."He paused in thought,then just looked bored.
"Take him to an orphanage,there at least he'll get proper clothes."Orphanage,what's that?The police were just about to escort me out when another pair of police were dragging a man with mint green hair into the throne room.
"I'm telling you I didn't do it!" That voice…. It sounded familiar,I looked up to look at the man and nearly froze,it was Zoro.
"Yeah sure you didn't,Shogun Spandum we caught the man responsible for killing your father." Huh, why would Zoro do that?
"I'm telling you it wasn't me,you've got the wrong guy!" He sounded so sincere,and he didn't sound guilty to me.The police who brought me here urged me to follow them out but I couldn't move,for some reason I reached out to Zoro,it was like I wasn't acting of my own will,but I was.My middle finger barely grazed Zoro but by touching him I saw the events that actually played out.The police pulled me away,yelling at me for touching a "murderer", I pulled my attention to the Shogun who was smiling,seeing Zoros memories I now know that this guy is an asshole.
The police had completely dragged me out of the castle and scolded me for my "inappropriate behavior",but now I know the truth.The two men brought me to this orphanage,which I found out is a place where kids with no parents are sent to,and it looked pretty poor in contrast to the rest of the city.
The kids were nice,the adults however not so much,I definitely wouldn't want to live here. The two police left and I was brought to a bedroom? I scanned the world for culture,apparently these people sleep on the ground and have no beds,odd. All the kids apparently sleep in one big room,is there no such thing as privacy here?
I decided I'd sleep here for the night since it'll take awhile for me to be able to make another portal again.As I laid down I couldn't stop thinking about Zoro and the Shogun.Zoros memories showed me that he was the Shoguns father's bodyguard,Zoro noticed Spandam was acting strangely around his father,a few days ago Spandam poisoned his father while guards where changing out.The guard Zoro switched with found the Shogun dead and since Zoro was the previous bodyguard he got the blame.
At some point I finally fell asleep,in the morning they made us all do chores which sucked,after all I didn't even know what I was doing and got picked on, I also refused to change so the adults were mad with me. Now it's around lunch time and we were all eating and at this time a man was hollering down the street. I decided to go to outside and check it out,as did some other kids.
"Attention attention the man responsible for killing the previous Shogun has been caught and is scheduled to be executed tomorrow afternoon, don't miss it,this is history!" He repeated this as he continued down the street,I looked to one of the adults.
"What's an execution?"It didn't sound good.
"An execution is when a criminal is publicly killed for there crime,serves that man right for killing the Shogun." My heart sank,they're going to kill Zoro,for a crime he didn't even commit! My thoughts immediately went to my worlds Zoro,he saved me and he died doing so. So I sort of feel like it's my responsibility to save this worlds Zoro,as a way to try and pay him back.I need to come up with a plan.
"Come on let's go back inside."One of the caretakers said and we all followed,I sat back down and looked at my food,I decided to just eat the orange,after all I can't eat more then that due to my eating disorder. I edited to world so the rest of my food disappeared, luckily no one noticed.
"Alright children clean up!" Yeah umm no I'm out of here.While everyone was cleaning I sneaked out the back door,I've always been good and sneaking so I wasn't caught.I decided to surround myself in a bubble that made me invisible,and I started to jump across the roof tops,which wasn't easy,they weren't even terrine.
I got into the palace and started to search for Zoro,he's probably in a cell somewhere,most likely under the palace.I walked through the walls and down some stairs but I couldn't find him anywhere. Is he even in the palace? I searched for hours but I couldn't find him anywhere,how am I going to save him? Wait,that's it! I just need to wait till tomorrow, it's risky but it's all I got.It was dark out so I just went to the roof of the palace and fell asleep for a few hours.
I woke up to the sound of bells tolling,for a moment it surprised me,then I remembered Zoros execution.I looked at the time,five minutes before his scheduled execution,I flew down the palace a fast as I could.I can't believe I overslept! Normally I don't sleep much at all…..
The streets were empty,but I could hear someone talking into a microphone.
"Roranoa Zoro you are about to be executed for the crimes you have committed against this country!" Great I'm not to late! I was finally able to see Zoro, he was dressed in white and held a small blade.
"You will now take your own life!"What kind of fucked up execution is this?! I could tell Zoro was angry but he didn't know how the escape this,just as he lifted up the blade I decided to freeze time. Only me and Zoro weren't frozen,but I did make it where he couldn't move so he wouldn't stab himself. I let him go of this after about 15 seconds,he looked around and noticed no one was moving,even a bird had stopped mid air.
"Don't give up. Your job was to serve the previous Shogun,and I'm sure he'd want his death to be avenged." I had yet to revel myself,but I was moving around in the crowd just circling him.
"Who are you what is happening,why did everything just stop?!"Of course that would startle him.
"Do you want to avenge him or not?" Zoro stilled and looked up.
"Of course I do,he took me in,he saved my life,but how can I avenge him now,I don't even know who killed him!" Of course he wouldn't,he didn't see it happen.
"The only one who benefits from it,I'm sure you know who that is."He turned around and looked at the shogun.
"If I kill him then what? I'll still die!" He's right he would but….
"Don't worry about that,I'll make it where you can escape.Sit back down and revert to your original position,you will know that to do from there." He did as I had said and I unfreezed time.
"I smell blood." The crowd stared at him with hatred.
"The new Shogun reeks of it,and he will pay for what he has done."In a flash Zoro coated his blade in something and used that coating to make an air slash that hit the Shogun,killing him instantly. The guards went to kill Zoro,but I made them float instead,and the towns people I pushed away from Zoro. I could tell everyone was confused,Zoro was as well but he had at least an idea of what was happening.
I made a path for him to run through,where the people couldn't touch him,and archers arrows would fall to the ground before they could hit him.
"Monster!"A woman yelled,but it wasn't Zoro who was doing it,Zoro is a normal person,I however am not. I made my way though the crowd,going the same direction Zoro was in,it was hard to navigate but I was able to make it out of the crowd. Zoro had made it to the forest,I ran in after him,at first he didn't notice me but when we got to a clearing he turned around.
He was in defense,he must not know the one who helped him.
"Don't follow me kid if you know what good for you!" I was right he thinks I'm a threat.
"I just saved your ass thank you very much!" At this his eyes widened.
"You're the kid from the palace that touched me,aren't you? And you were the one who told me who killed the previous Shogun?"I rolled me eyes.
"I thought that much was obvious,anyway if you ke-" I was about to tell him to keep going north to the neighboring Country but he cut me off and knelt down.
"I am forever in your debt,please let me follow you!" Oh,this isn't what I was expecting.
"Oh umm look,I'm not exactly from this place it wouldn't be a good idea to follow me."My words fell on deaf ears.
"Please I have no where to go,I owe you my life! I understand that you're a bit different you made that clear,but I don't care I want to follow and serve you!" Admittedly I grimaced a bit,I don't think he fully understoods what he's getting himself into.
"Look I understand how you are feeling right now trust me I really do,but once you follow me you can never return here as I don't know my way back." I don't think he's going to listen to me though. He maintained the same posture and didn't budge as to show he wasn't changing his mind,and I gave up.
"Fine you can come with me,just please if I say to do something do it,it's risky for people other then myself to travel like this."He smiled and stood up.
"Thank you,if I may though I'd like to know your name?"I never even thought about that,he doesn't know my name.
"It's Galax."
