Hello everyone, and welcome to my second fanfic. Today i decided that i will write a one shot with the ship Laxus x Mirajane, which is still one of my favorite fairy tail ships.

This takes place after the seven years timeskip, when they returned from Tenrou Island. And after Laxus was allowed to rejoin the guild thanks to gildarts.

One Shot

Laxus was recently sitting at the bar of the Fairy Tail guild and drank a mug of beer. He still couldn't believe that he was allowed to rejoin the guild. Thanks to Gildarts, who was declared to be the new guild master by Makarov which he was but only for a short time, because he already left and made Makarov the guild master again by a letter. And he also made another final decision by this letter, and this other final decision was that Laxus can return to the guild. Freed Bickslow and Evergreen, also known as the Thunder God Tribe were so happy that he was back and were eternally grateful to Gildarts that he made this final decision.

He then had a little smile on his face, and shaked his head when he thought about was so typical for Gildarts to leave without saying bye first, but he was really glad that his old friend made sure he could return to the guild.

About the Thunder God Tribe, he didn't really show it but deep inside he was really happy to see them again, after such a long time when he was exiled from the guild because of his grandpa Makarov. The Thunder God Tribe was recently not there with him, because they were going to buy food for Laxus and themselves. That's why he was there at the bar without them right now.

About his grandpa, they slowly started to get along again and of course Makarov also missed his grandson and was happy that he is back in the guild now. Laxus also missed him, and would have never thought to see him ever again because he was exiled from Fairy Tail before.

Then suddenly, he remembered the time when he tried to get control of the guild to become the new guild master of Fairy Tail in a evil and mean way. And when he let everyone of the guild fight against each other to see who will battle him as the last final opponent. He frowned when he thought about this and still felt bad. I was… such a jerk back then he thought, and looked down with sad eyes and then took another sip.

He still personally thinks, he didn't deserve a second chance. There are still people in the guild who haven't forgotten what he did. He knew, that not everyone will forgive him because of this but he didn't really expect it from them at all.

Hey Laxus are you alright? he looked up, and saw Mirajane who looked worriedly at him. Laxus thought about her question. He wasn't sure if he should tell her how he felt deep inside, because normally he wasn't someone who talked with anyone about his feelings. It was also hard for him to talk about emotional stuff like this, so he decided not to tell her even though he really liked her and knew her for such a long time now.

He nodded yes i'm fine Mira dont worry about me. He said with a fake serious expression and took another sip of his mug.

She frowned, she knew immediately that he lied to her because she could see in his eyes that he was sad about something. She decided not to give up, and tried once again to make him talk with her about his feelings.

The long white haired beauty, didn't want to see anyone sad in the guild and that also includes Laxus. It was not only that, but she also recently had a crush on him since he returned to the guild.

No you're not, i can see it in your eyes that you are sad about something and i just can't ignore that Laxus. she said with a sad expression, and waited patiently for an response from the blonde haired lightning dragon slayer.

He frowned, he knew he couldn't hide this from her even though he tried so hard. He then sighed sadly, and looked at her again which made her smile warmly at him. She then took his big hands and hold them gently and gave them a reassuring squeeze. He made a noise of surprise and just looked at her because he didn't expect this from her.

She just smiled cutely at him. Laxus you can talk with me about this, because we have known each other for a very long time now and you can trust me. You do trust me right? She asked him with a hopeful look on her face.

Laxus looked at her totally surprised, but then just simply nodded because he knew she would not let him stay so sad for the rest of the day.

Ok Mira i will tell you what's wrong, but can we please go outside and talk about this somewhere where no one sees us? he asked nervously, and waited patiently for an response from the white haired barmaid of Fairy Tail.

She nodded with a warm gentle smile of course Laxus come with me. she said then they left the building, and were now far away enough from the guild where no one could see them.

Laxus looked down, i-i'm not really good at talking about sad stuff like this… so i hope you can understand that i am a little bit nervous. He said and looked at her, and she just simply nodded with an understanding look. Don't worry, i know it's hard for you because you are not used to talk with someone about your feelings. So please take your time with this because i don't want to rush you. she said with a cute smile, and waited patiently for him to start talking about why he is sad today.

He nodded, he then took a deep breath and finally started to tell Mira what was going on with him. It all started, when i was allowed to rejoin the guild which i thought would never actually ever happen because of my actions in the past. I-I… I just thought about it today how evil i was back then, the way i treated everyone in the guild… and my evil heartless attempt at the harvest festival, to get control of the guild and become the new guild master just because i was so selfish and couldn't accept the guild for what it really was. He said with a sad voice, and looked down while he was shaking a little because he thought about his past again.

I… he said with a broken voice, and tried to speak but he couldn't continue because for him it felt like the negative thoughts were eating him up. And now he got nervous again because of it. But it should not stay long like this because suddenly, Mira gently took his hands again and looked at him with a kind understanding smile and gave his hands another reassuring squeeze .

This made him calm down again, and looked gratefully at her while she nodded and then let his hands go. He then continued to tell her how he felt deep inside.

I just don't think i deserve a second chance, because i was such a jerk back then… and treated you, gramps and everyone so badly which i really regret today. I-I-... I'm so sorry… he slowly felt a tear coming out of his eye, and then he just couldn't hold his emotions back anymore and now cried even more.

Mirajane looked sadly at him, because it broke her heart to see him suffer like this. He then slowly sank on his knees, and continued crying in front of Mira who now gave him a gentle warm hug and tried to calm him down.

Shh its ok Laxus, let it all out she said in a soft whispering tone and gently took his head and put him on her shoulder. She would have never thought to see him like this, but that just showed her that even big men can cry when they feel sad and suffer a lot deep inside.

I'm sorry you felt this way deep inside, but never forget that you are not like this anymore. You have changed Laxus and I'm so proud of you because of it. And please always remember, that not only me but many other people in the guild already forgave you. Try to live in the present and not in the past. She said with a few tears in her eyes now, and with a warm smile while gently stroking his thick blonde hair.

Then after a long time, he finally calmed down and looked at Mirajane with a big gentle smile. Thank you that you were there for me Mira. He said and looked at her gratefully, which made her happy that he felt better now and just simply nodded with a cute smile.

Mm you're welcome Laxus, and now that we talked this over i have to tell you something now too. She said with a seductive smirk, which made him now totally nervous and he made a noise of surprise. Huh? was all he could say, but then immediately noticed what she wanted to tell him which made him blush, and looking at her while she just giggled at his funny reaction.

Wait does that mean- he wanted to ask her, but Mira interrupted him by kissing him passionately on the mouth. At first he was shortly surprised by this, but then immediately enjoyed the kiss and her beautiful soft lips. She pulled back from the kiss and looked lovingly at him and nodded. Mm i love you Laxus Dreyar. she said with another cute smile, and put a hand on his handsome clean shaven face while having a blush on her face.

He blushed as well and then with a big grin on his face, he kissed her passionately back while raking his fingers through her beautiful long white soft hair and put his other hand on her soft face. She also enjoyed this kiss very much and closed her eyes in he pulled back from the kiss and also looked lovingly at her. I love you too Mirajane Strauss. He said with his attractive deep voice, and with a gentle warm smile on his face which made her blush right now. Then they kissed each other again in another passionate way.

Then after this, they were going back to the guild while holding hands together and surprising everyone there with this. The Thunder God Tribe was back from the grocery shopping, and wondered where Laxus was but then they saw him with Mirajane. Which made them and everyone else in the guild totally shocked, and their jaws dropped because they didn't expect that those two would become a pair. But then after the first reaction, they were so happy for the two and they got many congratulations from their fellow guild members and smiled happily at them. Which made Laxus and Mirajane, happy as well and kissed each other again while everyone celebrated the new pair.

Makarov was also very happy, that his grandson changed so positively and that he finally found the love of his life. The new pair was now sitting in the guild, and cuddled with each other and had a good time together. Laxus was so happy, that a beautiful and kind woman like Mira was his girlfriend now.
