Chapter 10

Riverdale

Jughead is writing on his computer. His dad is back in his trailer home, and Hannah decided to help FP clean up their trailer home. Hannah is mixing the pancake mix while FP is flipping them.

Jughead is happy that he is seeing this side of his dad as he is a Grimm and is teaching him everything he knows, but he would add.

"Son, sooner or later. You will someday add your discovery to these books. After all, half of the Grimms were superstitious and lacked a proper understanding of science. You might add some facts on how to deal with them for future generations to come." FP spoke to him that day at that silver bullet trailer.

Jughead watches them in a relaxed mode. All three of them have been cleaning since last night. He opens his computer and starts typing.

"Thicker than blood. More precious than oil. Riverdale's big business is maple syrup. Since the town's founding, one family has controlled its lucrative syrup trade, the Blossoms. They were a part of the fabric of our daily lives... Rich or poor, old or young, we consumed Blossom syrup by the bucket. That sickly, sweet smell was inescapable."

Jughead plate for pancakes was placed as he pressed saved on his computer putting it away for now. Hannah gestured to finish the food first before it got cold. Then he can return to his work later. Jughead poured the Blossoms maple syrups. He put it on the table and started to cut his pancakes. He is enjoying butter-coated pancakes.

Hannah poured some which she finds sweet and surgery as sin itself. She took a bit as she liked this syrup.

Hannah commented, "This would give me enough diabetes if I ate nothing but this stuff." She pours a lot more syrups than she realized.

FP hummed and laughed. "Yeah, but then again, I say the angels put this stuff on earth. For us to enjoy it while it lasts us." He took a bite from it. He has been obsessed with these syrups since he was a kid. It was one good thing to savor during his youth.

Hannah smiled at that statement as she recalled Castiel was quite a sugar monster who loved to eat all kinds of unhealthy amounts of sugar.

"Bribery to sweeten the deal for us to get to heaven." Jughead smiled a bit. Hannah nodded her head in a shrug mode. Yeah, it is all about bribery and deals when it comes to supernatural deities.

"The death of Jason Blossom precipitated a crisis. With the heir apparent gone, who would inherit the family business one day? Certainly not Cheryl. It was a question that brought the wolves to Riverdale. And now, the Blossoms were circling the wagons against possible attack, from within their own ranks."

On that cold winter day, all of the members of Blossoms' family, their inner circle, and business groups drove in their black limos and entered Thornhill. Everyone even Polly Cooper decided to live with Jason's family as she is carrying the heir to his family name. However, there is tension competition over who will be the leader of the Blossoms empire. Riverdale is covered by snow and grey skies above them.

Hannah led back and took the phone call with Betty over Polly's decisions to live with the Blossoms and Hal Cooper was kicked out by Alice. So, their little family is falling apart. And Betty, having no one to turn to, had called Hannah instead.

Hanah was outside of Jughead's trailer house. She is dressed warmly as it is freaky cold out there. She held her cell phone to her ear. Vegas was playing fetch with a tennis ball as she threw the ball for him where they had a big middle playground.

Ever since she had been taking Vegas with her everywhere as Vegas enjoys being around Hannah a lot. Looks like Vegas was a lonely dog and seemed to like Hannah a lot since she spoiled and enjoyed him a lot.

Betty is driving herself to the wall and Hannah feels like hiring some imitators hit man to pay five hundred bucks to put a bullet into Hannah's head and end her misery right now.

"Betty, what do you want me to do about it? Your mom pretty much took her helicopter parenting to extreme levels. And your dad tries to force Polly to get an abortion with no doubt frantic religious ideas from somewhere. Polly well, she is a big girl now and she seemed firm in wanting to give her babies the best financial stability she has." Hannah spoke to Betty. She shook her as if she couldn't believe that Betty was not letting this go.

Hannah knew that was quite an awful thing to say, but Polly was a teenage mom with no backing from both her parents and had no job paying for her baby.

To be honest, she was surprised that Polly asked her that early in the morning to come pick her up and she wanted her to take her somewhere.

It surprised her that Polly was carrying what belongings she did not doubt baby showers and placing them in the truck. Polly directed her to Thornhill where the Blossoms lived. She should've known that Polly was planning this from the beginning.

Hannah understood but she gave Polly her phone number just in case things turn south.

"Are you sure?" She once questioned Polly and she spoke, "I'm sure." Hannah saw the door open for Polly as if they were expecting her to come to their house. Hannah sighed as if she had a feeling that Polly may have called the Blossoms for a reason. She had to text everyone that Polly had her pick up and drop her off at the Blossom which she suspects that Polly had called ahead to them for her decisions.

And guess what, the Cooper family fell instantly apart. Hal is kicked out of the house. Alice is super upset and goes as far as to smoke up a sage in her house. And Betty well, Betty is upset that Polly left her behind again, and Hannah had to take her out to do a paintball shooting range to give her stress relief.

That helps Betty for a while since they don't want dark Betty to come out.

It seemed like all that effort into trying to keep Polly away from Jason's family was all for nothing.

Polly going with Blossoms seemed like the best solution she had.

Hannah looked at Vegas as he brought his tennis ball in his mouth. She took it and threw it at him to get it back.

"I know, Hannah, but it feels wrong, and wished that the Blossoms were bad enough people that want to make Polly leave them and come home. Am I an awful person to wish that was true?" Betty voiced from the line.

"No, Betty. It is natural that you wished something bad happened to them and wake them up to reality." Hannah told her. It is a normal thing for siblings not to talk to each other over the estrangement of their parents. But it seemed like Betty and Polly were so close tight siblings. They didn't realize that sooner or later, they would go separate ways when it comes to deciding what is the best choice.

"Did you try to contact Polly? It has been weeks since she decided to live with the Blossoms." Hannah questioned Betty,

"Polly won't answer my calls or e-mails. I mean, I get that she doesn't want to talk to my dad, but what did I do wrong?" Betty speaks still heartbrokenly over Polly not seeing her or calling her.

"Nothing. You try to mend the bond, but it seems like your attempts to fix it made it worse. Look, no one is blaming you for it. It just takes time to heal an opened wound you know." Hannah tries to explain it to Betty. No one is blaming her. I mean, she doesn't know how controlling her parents are in trying to make Polly into something she is not. After all, Betty was shielded too much from the dark side of their perfect suborn family.

"(Sigh) You're right. It just…"

"Look knowing your sister, she will call you when she is ready. I mean after all; she did escape to come see you."

"Yeah, she did. Okay, I will wait for her to call."

"Good. And Betty tries to be happy for Polly's sake."

"Got it. See ya."

Monday Riverdale High School

Hannah walked with Jughead as they went to check their The Blue and Gold newspaper thing. Betty had found out breaking news that Riverdale was getting a new detective. Betty got the story yesterday on Sunday.

She even got his picture.

Sean Renard is dressed in a suit and hair is shaved clean and blue-grey eyes. He is now head of the detective department of special cases. His record is quite amazing. He was once captain of Portland and former mayor for a brief time. He is kind of good-looking if you look past his age of mid-thirties or early forties.

"I am pleased to be part of serving this community. I also, hope that whoever commits any heinous crimes they will be brought to justice by all of my fellow officers." That was Sean Renard's comment to Betty as she was there that day.

As Betty wrote the main news of a new detective department as Head department Sean Renard, Jughead writing and editing for columns.

Hannah had decided to add a new column called, "Weird Mysterious and Monsters in America." It has many weird mysteries and monsters in America which are based on people who witness unusual and strange sightings of creatures based on legends, folklore, and real-life events.

Betty and Jughead like that idea. After all, it serves as there are strange things in this world and could used as a good distraction from everything.

Her first three parts of the story are "Appalachia: Sheepsquatch, Kentucky Green Men, Mothman". Hannah gives details of where parts of America their located and sightings. In Hardinsburg, Kentucky, two lifelong friends encounter a horrid beast known as Sheepsquatch. In Kelly, Kentucky, a family is terrorized by aliens from another world, and in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the locals report sightings of a winged beast known as the Mothman.

Hanah figured maybe she could give off ideas of exactly what is going on since media, the internet, and newspapers are a free way to tell their stories to the world. And give people an eye-opening of mysteriousness that no one ever talked about.

Thanks to that was a great hit idea. They sold out many papers for their school. And Hannah could tell that Principal Weatherbee is a secret big fan of strange and bizarre things.

Few students commented and liked the "Weird mysterious and monsters in America" column. Some like to speak in theories and comment on true stories. Others like to believe it was government conspiracy ideals.

Though, some like Reggie would mock it and not believe it. Hannah rolled her eyes and walked away.

Lately, Reggie has been bugging her a lot. Geeze, he acts like a jerk who tries to make her life hell for fun and attention.

Hannah didn't even care what he did and often found Betty, Jughead, and even Archie.

Archie came running to Hannah as she switched her books for her classes that ended today.

"Yeah, Archie?"

Hannah is curious about why he looked excited. "Hey Hannah, I gotta tell you the news."

"Okay, what?"

"With the whole gang," Archie said as they walked down to a break room for them.

Archie spoke along with the gang as he explained why Cheryl wanted Archie to be part of the Maple tree sap ceremony, and the price is entering some big-time music program.

"Just in time, we're celebrating," Veronica said as if she ate a piece of candy.

Kevin excitedly spoke. "Archie was just telling us how he's going to some super-exclusive music program this summer."

"Maybe. If it happens, though, it would be huge for me." Archie, which Hannah questioned her cousin. "Do you have to audition for it?"

"Well, not exactly." Archie cautioned added, "Mrs. Blossom came by earlier and said she'd put a good word in for me."

"Amazing."

"Terrifying."

"Uh-huh," Jughead spoke with suspicion about this. "What's she getting out of it?"

"I told her I'd take Cheryl to their family's tree-tapping thing." So that was the price.

Hannah questioned him. "What about your girl?" She knows that girlfriends get pretty jealous if another girl asks their boyfriends to be their escort to some party. It usually doesn't end well if they try to steal them.

"I already talked to Valerie, and she's cool with it." Archie shrugged. Oh, poor Archie. He doesn't know that he has just signed his death penalty.

"Cool with you being a gigolo now?" Jughead is sort of being cynical and sarcastic about this. "Nice," his girlfriend agreed. Hannah fisted-bumped into the jughead, and he did the same for that good comeback. Yeah, Hannah has to agree with that. Archie is being pimped out and he didn't even know about it.

"I'm doing someone a favor for my music, Jughead. I need to make connections outside of Riverdale." Archie trying to speak in favor of it.

"Connections over being Cheryl's new hubby?" Hannah spoke to Archie.

"Hubby? No. Haha. There is no way Cheryl wants that. Does she?" Archie looked at his friends nervously.

"Of course, not," Kevin spoke up though his eyes said otherwise. Yeah, everyone knows that Cheryl is kind of unpredictable about everything. It makes everyone take a second guess about her.

"But Jughead's right. These kinds of favors always come with a price tag." Veronica should know, after all, the Lodges used to have so many connections. And it sounded to her that Blossoms has their type of schemes to lure in favors.

"Betty, back me up here." Archie pleaded his case to Betty.

"I think it's a great idea," Betty spoke agreeing with Archie.

"Of course, you say that," Hannah murmured as Jughead held her in a side hug to calm her down. Lately, he has been doing this, but Hannah tries her best to be good for goodness' sake. Jughead doesn't mind after all she is his anchor.

"Thank you, Betty." Archie is grateful for Betty's support.

"And don't worry, Ronnie, I can take care of myself." His words appreciated Veronica's concerns.

"Famous last words, Archiekins."

Yes, it is. After all, Blossoms are bloodsuckers and won't hesitate to step on their bodies under their feet. That is a reason why there is a good chance Jason wanted to run away from his bloody legacy.

At the Pembrooke of Lodges, they had a dinner table as Kevin, Jughead, Hannah, Betty, Veronica, and Ethel were invited to dinner.

They were all awkward and quiet. Sounds of plates, cups, and folks lightly scratching on the plates. Everyone was looking at each other, but not sure how to start.

So, Hannah decided to begin.

"This food is good, Mrs. Lodge." Hannah began her conversations hoping to get rid of these weird tensions.

Hermione smiled and said, "Thank you, my dear. Eat plenty. There is enough for everyone." This is true as Quiche Lorraine is good.

Hannah looked around and made a knowing clearing throat. Betty responded, to her voice, "Yeah, it's not too overcooked and it is nice to get out once in a while."

Veronica looked concerned with Ethel.

"Ethel, you haven't eaten at all."

"Oh. Sorry. I just... I'm not really hungry." Ethel looked stumbling if anything. Hannah could tell that something was going on. After all, Veronica said that she seemed depressed, and her poem had given rather disturbing emotions bottling up.

"Anything we can help with?" Veronica spoke.

"Uh, my parents... All they do is yell at each other." Ethel explained and Betty spoke up, "My parents are fighting right now, too."

"I guess something happened." Hannah looked at Ethel.

"I think my dad had some bad luck with our savings. Now my mom says we're going to have to sell the house. My dad is just so... Crushed." Ethel told her parents about the situation.

Hannah felt bad for Ethel as it is never easy to suddenly see how your whole family is torn apart. Hannah recalls how her mom died, and her dad just doesn't want to talk, and Sam tries to make sure his brother doesn't fall apart. And Hannah well...she tries to distract herself from feelings of loss.

The dinner ended if not quickly as they all parted ways.

The following day at school, it seemed like Veronica was desperate to make amends. And for some reason, Hannah was the unlucky person to be dragged into this.

"C'mon, V. Why do I have to do this?" She complained as Veronica seemed to have this habit of trying and following her around to get her to say yes to helping Ethel.

"Look, Ethel needs to be comforted and friends because of the situation over her parents." Veronica is determined to follow her despite walking speed with her high heels.

"Dude, Betty has an issue with her parents, and you don't seem to want to help with her situation," Hannah spoke incredulously.

"Betty is a big girl, and she can handle her problems." The lodge girl spoke as she continued, "Ethel, is dealing with a whole different level."

"Such as?" Hannah went to her locker to get her books for the next class.

"Okay," Veronica sighed and spoke honestly. "Listen, my dad was involved in her father's business failure when he took their money after he was arrested. Her father, Manfred Muggs, invested with my dad. And it's probable that they lost a lot when he was arrested. Maybe everything. They're being kicked out of their house, their home."

Hannah looked at Veronica with a thoughtful expression. Oh god, don't tell her…

"You are trying to make amends for what your dad has done."

Veronica nodded silently.

"(Sigh) Look, I get it. Your dad screw over a lot of people and you were shielded by that image of your dad being a good guy because you wanted to believe it. To be honest, he should be the one who should be sorry for what he did. Not you. You should bear his sins. He is in jail. Maybe, that is the way the law handles the injustice."

Veronica looked sad, but she seemed to understand it. It feels like her dad was everything people are saying all along. Her dad wasn't someone people could trust with his money.

Hannah understood that being daddy's little girl has its price. One minute he was your hero, the next he was not a good person at all.

"Do you think there is a good chance that they could get to keep their house?" Hannah questioned her, to which Veronica replied, "From the way, Ethel said. The arrangements are done over selling the house in order to save their business and livelihood."

Hannah pursed her lips. Okay, no doubt Mrs. of the household decided to do it for the sake of her family. She could tell that the family seemed to have worked their whole lives and put a lot of thought into how to continue their legitimate business. Now that they trusted the wrong investor, they could lose their money and everything else if it continues.

"Have you talked to your mom about this?"

"Yeah," Veronica said what her mom had told her yesterday. When Hermione pulled Veronica out of the dining room after finding out that Ethel's last name was Muggs. She told her daughter that Ethel's father was among those who had done business with Veronica's father, Hiram Lodge and that he probably lost a lot of money—possibly all of it—in the controversy.

"So, I was thinking of giving her gifts to cheer her up." Veronica's figure may be something nice that could help a girl out.

Hannah shook her head. "That sounded like you are trading their loss of money over something with gifts to cover their cost of wasting more money." She could tell that giving gifts did seem like a good idea, but that was like trying to cover the mistakes of what their parents had done. In this case of Veronica, that spells backfire as Ethel would probably be guilty or uncomfortable if Veronica gave her gifts.

"Well, what would have me do?" Veronica is a bit agitated.

"Why not just being her friend is a good start for one." Hannah closed her locker as she took her math book out and walked with Veronica. She turned to her before entering her classroom. "I mean what could be a better gift than being a good friend."

She took her seat as Veronica stood there.

Hopefully, that is good advice since what Muggs girl needs is a friend. Not a gift that anyone can buy from the stores and online. True, gifts are nice to give, but sometimes physically and emotionally being there can help heal too.

After all, everyone deserves one kind person in this whole world. That is better than any money in the world.

Friday at Riverdale High

Veronica is over the moon. Turns out that Hannah was right. Being friends with Ethel is better than giving her gifts.

They went to movies, hung out at Pop's, and went on a little shopping spree.

It was fun.

She can't wait to tell Hannah and Betty about it.

Now she is curious about what they should do next.

Oh lalala! Veronica raised her eyebrows at this.

Jughead is holding Hannah as she is in front talking to Betty. Jughead pressed his lips onto Hannah's head as she leaned back a little. They are so cute together.

"Polly seemed okay."

Veronica came and spoke, "Why wouldn't Polly be okay?"

Hannah was about to answer it, but fate as other plans.

Dilton Doily came running almost out of breath and spoke, "Hey guys. You never guess what happened."

They all stopped talking and looked at Dilton Doily.

"Have you heard what happened to Ethel Muggs today?" Dilton is shocked yet almost excited to spread the news.

"Oh my God! Ethel did it." Kevin covered his mouth shocked. He knew that chances Ethel was suicidal but this…

"What? No!" Dilton looked confused at first, but he shook his head. "It was her dad. It seemed like the Muggs family hit a load of money troubles and the next thing happened. Her dad took sleeping pills and overdosed himself. He is at the hospital right now. There hasn't been news, but someone said he is recovering, but he needs to be watched. Ethel looked really upset. So, she was excused for the day."

"Hey, Veronica are okay?" Hannah spoke as she saw her staring in blank air.

Echoed words by Betty spoke, "Veronica, it's okay."

Veronica just left for the girl's bathroom, and she looked at herself in the mirror. She had tears streaming down her face.

She is developing self-loathing about herself. She tore out her pearls as they fell on the floor. She collapsed onto the floor as she cried a lot.

The bathroom door is opened as Hannah and Betty enter. They whispered comfort but Veronica felt she didn't deserve their comfort.

She never thought about the day she wished she hadn't been born as a Lodge.

After school ended, Hannah stayed with Jughead outside on the bench looking at the stars. The campfire burning bright. They are at the trailer park as there is an outdoor furnace to burn the wood. It was an awful day.

"Veronica seemed heartbroken." She spoke in a low voice.

Jughead said nothing as they wrapped themselves in a native American blanket.

"I know she felt guilty, but it is not hers." Hannah doesn't understand why they take the burden of their parents' sins instead of looking into their own.

"Sometimes, people like Veronica wanted to make amends," Jughead spoke. "I don't know what she used to be before she came here, but she was like worse than Cheryl Blossom. Last time, Betty told me what Veronica told her. Veronica used to pick on people, make their lives miserable, and sometimes be a total bitch." He lightly laughed which made Hannah smile a bit.

"Maybe for Veronica, she felt like she owed it to old herself to try. Try to change and make amends. After all, her dad being in jail actually became an eye-opener for her. And that is a good thing I guess. Sometimes we all need an eye opener even if it means come to our parents' crimes." Jughead spoke as he looked at Hannah. She hugged him tight as he returned the favor.

"Sometimes, we forget how we got here. Others try to remember that it was a gift. A gift given by our parents as a second chance. I recalled that in world history class a famous Roman emperor named Octavian Augustus. The great Augustus was Rome's first true great emperor. He built a place called the Augusteum. When the barbarians came they trashed it along with everything else. People often wondered how the greatest emperor could have predicted that someday his great city and empire would collapse along with its law, religion, and hierarchy."

Sean Renard in his new rental house. Look at the pictures of Jason's blossom case and place them on the boards, but he added new names of Blossoms Maple Business along with the connection of Hiram Lodge. He then looked at a new pictures file that had FP Jones, Jughead Jones, Hannah Winchester, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Angelina Andrews Winchester, Bobby Singer, and John Doe aka Castiel.

"Well, he could have. Maybe someday, he believed that his once mighty empire would one day be in ruins. That was probably why we have terrible conflicts followed by a succession of emperors who came after his passing that created outrageous status quo."

Clifford Blossom in his private office looked around to see no one was here or coming in. He pulls his desk dwarves and uncovers his secret one. He took out a picture of his youth. Clifford Blossom looked longing in the photo. In his youth, he looked almost identical to his son Jason. But next to him holding in his arms was almost identical to Hannah Winchester is Angelina Andrews dressed in her cheerleader outfit smiling in the picture.

"They all feared that everyone would not remember their names along with greatness. They wanted to stay the same even if it meant stealing from others because it was how the old law taught them for centuries was necessary for survival. Because of that old law, they have forgotten how to live instead of thinking about survival."

Veronica cries in the car as Betty hugs and comforts her. She felt so guilty about it. Ethel's mom hates her for what her dad did and now she fears Ethel will too.

"However, looking at this, maybe his fear was unfounded. His empire may have collapsed, but they left behind its ruins, and around those ruins became a sanctuary and built a new city to let go of the past wound and created a healing process for his descendants. It is called progress. Progress can lead a new possible world to live in."

They all met up at Archie's house on Saturday in the pretense of getting homework or a project done.

Archie explains to everyone including Betty about what Polly said to him.

Betty smiled as she was relieved. "She didn't choose the Blossoms over us, she's actually there to spy on them."

Hannah pursed her lips as she looked at Betty. "But is what Polly said is true?"

"Yes, why wouldn't be." Betty defends her sister.

"Easy, Cooper." Jughead spoke as he continued, "What Hannah means is can Polly be really trusted over the Blossoms family." The Blossoms are as sticky as maple syrups. They leave their sugary taste and can grab hold any addicts to take the fall for them.

"Polly said that she is there to find out what happened to Jason with his family."

"And she believes it could be his own parents or rather business partners," Jughead added his input.

"Sounds like a real mystery," Hannah spoke. She was close to using Scooby Doo quotes for this, but she will save this later.

"What mystery?" Veronica entered as she spoke up.

"That Polly is going to play the double spy for Betty over Jason's murder."

"But wasn't his murderer the fake Mrs. Grundy," Veronica spoke as the town talked about ending his case.

"That's the thing," Betty spoke up but did not reveal too many theories Hannah and Jughead spoke of before. "The time set. It doesn't match the timing of Jason's death."

"In other words, chances it was the Blossoms who did the deed or could be someone else who is connected to them," Hannah added as she tried to see if there was a connection or pattern about Jason's death.

"Wow, I mean. You know what, I am sticking to it. Wow." Veronica is way off the loop. So, fake Mrs. Grundy couldn't have done it, but chances it was the blossoms that did it or at least their business partners.

"Are we sure? Cause the way I see it. Both parents were devastated about Jason's death. Even Mrs. Blossoms cried out that chance that Jason was being groomed by Mrs. Grundy. Hell, she even yelled at my dad saying, 'She deserved the chair. That pedophile deserved to die being assaulted in prison." Kevin said as he recalled how his dad was yelled at by Mrs. Blossom. It was hell for everyone that day.

"We should at least try to find a way for Polly to contact us without getting caught," Betty spoke with urgency.

"Hey Veronica, are you okay?" Veronica smiled calmly and said, "Ethel and I talked about it over the phone this morning. She forgave me. And she asked when we can catch up on the next shopping spree."

Everyone smiled at her.

"It seemed that, for Veronica, the sins of the father would remain simply that. While Archie Andrews returned from the brink with one more bit of news."

"Wait, are you saying Clifford Blossom has something to do with my dad going to jail?" Veronica was shocked that Archie overheard Mr. Blossom talking with his wife.

Hannah input, "You sure that is what he exactly said?"

"Yes, he said it at the banquet." Archie was shocked and scared. His dad was right about being too comfortable around the Blossoms.

"If Clifford sent Hiram Lodge to jail, and tore apart his family, then maybe Hiram was trying to do the same thing to him. Yeah, by going after what the Blossoms value most, their family, their legacy. That's a motive." Jughead spoke seriously.

"You mean…?" Kevin is paled by that thought.

"He is saying there is a chance my dad put a hit on Jason Blossoms." Veronica finished that meaning.

Hanah was thinking hard. "But Cheryl and Jason planned their boating ride that day. And we all know it was planned to get Cheryl and Polly away from Riverdale. So, how did your dad know the right time to kidnap and kill off the Blossom heir?"

"Maybe he has someone on the inside," Kevin spoke. That sounded more in his area as his dad once said, there is always a sneak who has more motive for his end of the bargain.

Archie spoke, "Yeah, but Polly is inside so, could be someone close to the Blossom who saw or heard of Jason's plan."

"Impossible," Hannah spoke. "Remember at the funeral. They don't have many servants to serve them hand and feet unless you can count the gardener or their cook that only comes on the five days a week and not on the weekends." She remembered that she had never seen any butlers or maids. To her, it seemed like they never hired servants as they seemed like private people and didn't hire people easily.

"Damn, you're right," Jughead recalls that. Man, who else to have done the deed to go off on Jason?

"So, Ronnie," Archie spoke to Veronica. "You think your mom may know this?"

Veronica grows pale and thinks for a moment.

They all looked at each other wondering and thinking. Who had done this deed? And why kill Jason? Is it Hiram Lodge? Or was it someone closer to home?

"Winter had come early to Riverdale. Brutal and unforgiving."

Thornhill manor

"But it would be nothing compared to the storm that was gathering."

Cheryl in the bedroom is angry.

She saw the picture and decided on her enemies.

"A storm of chaos named..."

She used a red marker and colored on Archie's face there. As she sniffles and silently cries.

"...Cheryl Blossom."

Cheryl Blossom looked at the camera and then went back to the red mark on Polly's face next.

Reviews are welcome.

"Weird Mysterious and Monsters in America." is based on Monsters and Mysteries in America 2013 TV series. I added Weird Mysterious in honor of Archie's Wierd Mysterious cartoon series.

Next Chapter, Fred departs for Chicago to finalize his divorce, leaving Archie and Hannah alone. Hannah discovered Jughead's birthday. She desperately asked Betty for advice.
