Sleeping at Xander's place was horrible. The only people that could sleep on the bed was Willow, Anya and Buffy, everyone else had to sleep in awkward places. Giles slept on a small beanbag, Xander at least got a couch, and Eris got to sleep on the ground in a thin sleeping bag.

Everyone had a horrible time of it, especially Buffy who was in pain over Riley. He would be feeling so lost, unable to figure out right from wrong, who was right, who to believe, she was unable to help, and it only hurt the more she thought about it.

Everyone else tried to keep her cheered up, even going so far as to watch Looney Tunes and make fun of it, but even though she was grateful, it didn't ease the ache.

It was only made worse when it was discovered that a young boy was skewered and mutilated horrifically. It was obvious that Professor Walsh had sent the Polgara demon after Buffy to try and kill her again, which wasn't going to happen. Everyone would do as they usually do with a nasty demon; the gang would go through every information they had to figure out the demon, figure out it's weaknesses, whilst Buffy would go out patrolling to try and kill this thing before it killed anybody else.

Sadly, however, it was later found out that Professor Walsh was murdered by the Polgara demon that escaped, which made Buffy even more eager to find this demon and put a stop to it's rampage. "Everybody off the bed," the Slayer called out to the group who were sitting on the couch much like they were in the morning.

She walked in with a terrible looking Riley and sat him on the edge. He looked in absolute shambles, his skin was pallid and sweating profusely and every movement of his arms were done with immense trembling. He was twitchy and incredibly wired and as the group moved off the bed they all watched on in worry. "What's going on?" Eris asked in concern as she grabbed one of Xanders shirts and passed it to Buffy to dab at Riley's forehead.

"We don't know, but I brought him here to help him," Buffy replied as she helped him take off his military vest.

Eris knelt down in front of Riley and took a second to examine him, she frowned when a thought popped into her head, "don't take this the wrong way Riley, but your body is behaving like you are going through drug withdrawal."

"Drug withdrawal? No, no I don't take drugs," the man's eyes looked at her widely, his fingers beginning to scratch the back of his hands over and over and over again.

"Hey hey, no, I know that," Eris soothed, not wanting to rile him up, "why don't you rest up a bit and feel better, we'll get to the bottom of this I promise," she looked to Buffy and nodded, letting the Slayer take care of Riley as she moved over to Xander, Anya and Giles.

"He looks terrible," Giles said in concern as he peaked through the gap in the towel that separated the bed from the rest of the room.

"It looks like drug withdrawal Giles," Eris whispered back to the trio softly so neither Riley nor Buffy could hear, "I saw it a lot in L A."

"Riley doesn't look like the drug taking type," Xander commented as he too tried to take a peak through the towels.

"He's not, could it be the Initiative has done something to him?"

"That's most likely the case," Giles replied, his tone turning grim, "we'll talk to Buffy once she's gotten Riley settled."

"I'm done," came Buffy's soft reply as she exited the makeshift room, "and you're right Eris, earlier today he told me Professor Walsh was killed by the Polgara demon but I don't think its grief that's making him act this way. Something's affecting him physically, and It's getting worse."

"You think Professor Walsh did something to him?" Anya asked with a curl of her lip. She may not feel comfortable around Riley but even she didn't like the idea of Riley suffering like this.

"I think they have been secretly drugging him with something," Eris replied, "and its obvious that with Professor Walsh's death he hasn't been given whatever it is so he's having withdrawal."

"We need to find out what, and fast."

"That's gonna be tough Buff," Xander pointed out, "what with Maggie's deadness and all."

"She must have kept records somewhere, about Riley, about 314, about all of it. And I'm sure she wasn't the only one that knew what she was up to."

"So what's the plan?"

"Giles, Anya, Eris, keep researching. Xander, you and I are going undercover."

"I can't, Buff, I have to go find Graham, what if he is going through the same thing?"

"Fine, Eris, go find Graham. Hopefully he's ok."

Eris nodded and quickly took off to find her boyfriend, hopefully he wasn't inside the Initiative.

Eris felt incredibly nervous as she reached the door to her boyfriend's room. All the chaos that has happened, Maggie's death, the Initiative hunting Buffy, it was all too much and she was worried that Graham would be part of the group that wants to harm her family.

Taking a deep breath she knocked on the door, and after a few seconds it opened to reveal Grahm, who looked less than pleased to see her, "Eris, what are you doing here?"

She flinched at his blunt tone, he wasn't happy at all, "I wanted to check on you, I know a lot has happened."

"Yea, it has. Like your ex being Hostile 17."

Her eyes widened in shock, how did he know about that, "how did you-"

"How did I know? Forrest IDed him as the Hostile," he crossed his arms across his chest, anger taking over, "not only were you hiding the hostile from us, but you had sex with him."

"It's a lot more complicated than that."

"Its not really, did you know he was a vampire when you fucked him?" it was the first time she had heard him swear, and she honestly didn't know how to answer. Her silence was enough of an answer for him, "you did…that's disgusting Eris."

Now it was her turn to be angry, "you don't get to judge me, who I sleep with is my choice and none of your business."

"It is my business when I am the man you are currently dating!" he snapped back, "I don't even feel like I know you, you've lied to me, more than once, kept a dangerous hostile under your protection, and even worse, slept with it!"

"And what does that change for you now, huh? Is this the needle in the haystack for you?"

"I-I don't know, I don't know if I can be with someone like you."

"And yet when Riley found out he didn't jump to dump Buffy."

"Buffy, didn't sleep with a vampire!"

"YOU don't know that!"

"Does Riley?"

"I have no fucking clue!" she threw her hands up and in a few deep breathes to calm herself down before speaking again, "if this can shatter our relationship then maybe its best we part ways."

"I don't want to part ways Eris, but this is not easy for me," he huffed and leant against the door frame, "give me time, some space, I need to think."

Eris felt her heat break a little, she knew it was her fault, she fucked up, but it didn't make it any better, "if that's what you wish, then I'll give you space," she turned around, not letting him have another word, and left, tears beginning to stream down her face.
