I'm on a roooooollll!

I finally a few days off teehee so probably expect another chapter tmr or Monday hehe

I'm going to be answering some review cos i have the time lolol

Guest, Skylar and Anne Montes: I'm so so glad His Everything still has supporter hehe, it was such a work in progress when I wrote it I cringe thinking about the first few chapters. I want to rewrite the start so bad but i have late stage adhd (very self-diagnosed bc i refused to see a professional...) and my brain doesn't want to focus for that long. Literally this story I am holding a stick with a chocolate attached to a string in front of my brain for it to keep going.

Urmom0220: YESSS THATS THE TROPE! Its going to be so so enemies and I don't want that 'he's a bad boy i don't like him' trope, i want the 'he's a flipping psycho i'm going to murder him and feed his guts to the wolves if i ever get my hands on him' kind of enemies. Wow *clears throat* sorry let me reiterate I'm not a psycho...

Yuilia: I've noticed your user SO MANY TIMES on my other story, i'm so glad ur a supporter for this one too! I love when people consistently comment on my story it helps me keep going just for them hehe. Anyways yes, i'm so glad u picked up on the fact that she escaped cos my editor (not rly editor i just make them read my work before updating) is so damn oblivious to the hints i'm dropping smh *raises fist at editor across room*. I am planning to feature most of the other canon characters and stick to their canon personalities, that's why Noah is an OC.

"Remember, we will prioritise the prisoners first, we have plenty of supplies for now," Captain Noah Rhodes stood at the helm of the oval-shaped table, both hands resting on the map of the terrain they were about to enter. Stella stood beside him, a few feet away as she leaned on the wall with her arms crossed over her chest and watched him brief the room.

The Rebellion had its own outposts, hidden and situated on multiple planets within the Magix realm that were secretly against the Drakari. This was their base camp, camouflaged perfectly into the rugged terrain of former Solaria's rural land. Being right near the enemy meant quicker attacks, and most importantly hiding in the last place they'd look.

Stella was confident in the base camp camouflage, so much so that she picked the place herself. During her training to be queen, she had memorised every grain of dirt that lay on Solaria, and this place used to be an abandoned outpost during a war that took place on Solaria almost 3 centuries ago.

It was miles away from any town and well hidden under the mountain. The closest form of civilisation was a trading dock a couple of miles east. To secure the place, Noah had a couple of other fairies place a cloaking spell over the camp.

"They'll arrive on the dock at 0800, the ship bears the Silver emblem so it will bypass customs within the half-hour, which means it'll cross the plateau by 0830," Noah's finger ran smoothly across the map, pointing to the rugged plateau terrain that separates the former royal kingdom and the trading dock. "Remember, we leave no Drakari alive,"

Stella's heart thumped in her chest at the same time as Noah's beryl eyes flickered over to meet her gaze. She was still the only ranked member of the Rebellion without a kill count. Noah himself spares no mercy before bringing down his bright blue twin blade with possibly the highest kill count in the squad.

She bore no resentment to those who chose to defend themselves and resort to killing. Just like her, they have had their loved ones murdered mercilessly in front of them. They did what they had to, to survive.

"Alright Team A you're with me, Team B you're on scout," He continued, and Stella shook her head to break out of her train of thought as the other rebellion members dispersed into their respective tasks.

Since the night of her bloodied coronation, Stella stopped being able to use magic. The fairy transformation she was beginning to perfect was nothing but a weak spark without the Sun Sceptre. She wasn't even able to muster up a simple levitation spell like some magic users in the Rebellion could.

But the bright yellow energy daggers she had learned to use over the last 4 years made her still a force to be reckoned with.

"Mila's with us on team A," Noah spoke, still in his commanding leader tone as he stood before Stella, "I wanted to put her in recon but she insisted on the front lines,"

"I'll take care of her, put her in the reserve squad with me," Stella replied confidently. There were three teams when going for raids, the recon team who were the eyes and the ears, the assault team on the front lines and the reserve team who waited in between to act as backup on assault if needed.

"You? In reserve? That's a first," Noah scoffed his tone dropping to the usual playfulness he had around her, and only her. "What next? Guarding the base camp?" He added mockingly before letting out a laugh.

She shot him a look and crossed her arms over her chest again, "Mila's not ready to be on assault, it's safer for her in reserve where I can protect her till she's ready,"

Noah's lips twitched in a small smile, as he continued to stare at her. Stella dropped her chin and gave him a look, "What?" She asked, taking a tone of accusation.

"Nothing, it's cute when you talk like a leader," He flashed her a goofy grin before copping a sharp and powerful hit in the bicep from her fisted knuckles. "Ow dammit! Why are you so violent?"

"Because you can't shut your stupid mouth!" She hissed back, turning away to hide the blush that was starting to crawl up her neck. Noah opened his mouth coyly add to his words but was promptly cut off as another division leader approached them.

"Captain, the king of Eraklyeon sent word about the ship landing at the docks," Recon leader Helia stated, standing between both captain and lieutenant.

Helia was Noah's friend before Stella met him, with pale skin and dark raven hair that complimented a pair of dark blue eyes. Helia was a sharp fighter with his laser whip gloves, but his skills were more suited to recon, hence his high ranking position.

"What did he say?" Stella was the first to speak, eager and anxious. King Sky of Eraklyeon had become an ally to the Rebellion 2 years ago when he ascended the throne in the wake of his father's illness.

Stella had met Sky once or twice when they were younger, and she noted how noble of a character he was, a great swordsman and a charismatic leader. She also remembers how fond of Brandon Silver, Sky was ever since Brandon beat the prince in hand-to-hand combat when they were just kids. So much so that the palace of Eraklyeon offered their allegiance to the young commander in training before the assassination of King Radius.

Second to Stella, the most heartbroken over the Silver's coup de tat was Sky.

"He sent a list of the prisoners on the ship as well as the number of Drakari on it, including names," Helia replied, turning to face her as the magic tablet he was holding lit up with a document.

Stella took the tablet with no hesitation as she scrolled through the names and additional supplies on it. There was only one name she was subconsciously searching for in every one of these documents Sky ever sends.

To both her relief and anxiety, that name was never there.

"He needs to stop sending these," Stella murmured, "He can't keep risking Eraklyeon's safety for the Rebellion,"

Helia shrugged as Noah read from over her shoulder, "You've been telling him the same thing for years, he doesn't listen," Helia murmured to which Stella sighed in defeat,

Sky knew former princess Stella of Solaria was still alive, he was the only person who knew because he was one of the only people to have known before her coronation day and still lived. Despite his initial attempt to try and bow to her before Stella quickly pulled him up, Sky told no one about it.

Not even Noah knew who she really was. To the entire realm of Magix, the sun queen was dead.

"Recon team will head out first," Helia continued, his gaze flickering between Noah and Stella. "From the stats, this shouldn't be a difficult one,"

"You're awfully confident," Noah teased and Helia rolled his eyes. Between Stella and Helia, Noah was only ever his usually playful self around them. Helia's job as recon is to not only be the eyes and ears but to bring the enemy ship down to the ground. The laser whips he uses, were a massive advantage in stopping the ship's propeller to bring it nosediving to the ground.

Considering Drakari ships were immunes to magic attacks, a type of tech that still has Stella baffled to this day.

"I never miss," Helia replied in his usual cool tone, and Noah let out a scoff.

"You're not better than me,"

"I'd like to see you use the laser whip then captain," Helia shot back in a calm tone and Noah's mouth closed as fast as it opened. Long range attacks were Noah's worst, the entire rebellion knew that.

"He got you there," Stella teased and Noah shot her a glare at the same time Helia smirked.

"Don't you have a recon team to lead?" He snapped instead, one to which Helia raised his hands up in playful defence before making his way out of the war room.

"He's such a showoff," Noah murmured quietly when Helia was finally out of earshot. "You don't think I'm that bad at the whip right Stella?"

"Noah, there are things you're amazing at, but the whip is not one of them," Stella gave him a little chuckle to his frown and handed over the tablet, "A total of 10 prisoners, and 15 Drakari," She summarised, "That shouldn't be a problem for the assault team though,"

Noah laughed, "I'd be surprised if it was." Stella gave him a clipped smile before attempting to leave, to equip herself with her battle gear, "Stella," He called her attention, before giving her a determined look, "Stay alive,"

Over the last few years, 'Stay alive' had become their thing. Noah would tell her to stay alive during the rebellions first ever raids and he would repeat it even well after Stella had surpassed him in combat. It held more than just the literal meaning.

It was a symbol of care they held for each other.

"I will,"

The Wailing Plateau was a place Stella had only read in her geography books, with naturally carved expanses rising from the ground and soaring above head like a giant's table. Its canals were steep and a sudden drop into the abyss allowing passage of harsh winds that almost sounded like a woman's wail between the sharp jagged rocks.

It was the quickest way for ships to make a direct cut to Solaria's kingdom however not the most safest one. The Wailing Plateau was physically impossible to cross from above, the harrowing winds that gathered atop was too great for even the best of Drakari ships to fly against. The only way out was through the middle where winds were less harsh but one hit on those jagged rocks meant the ship would plunge into the abyss with not even remains to be salvaged. This made it the perfect terrain for a surprise attack and the perfect place to bury raided ships.

Stella raised her open palm, signalling her squad to halt and take cover on the side of the plateau where the rocks hid them, "Remember, we're only to engage if the assault team requests it," She told her team to which they nodded, pulling their energy weapons into a readying stance.

Her eye caught sight of Mila's brown ones, a terrified but determined look in them, much like her own expression when she first fought alongside Noah.

Stella offered her a reassuring smile, one to which she forced out her own weak twitch of lips to. The reserve team rarely ever engaged anyway, usually Sky's intel was always right on the money.

Her eyes scanned the terrain, ducking slightly as a gust of sandy wind blew through the canal. She could see where Noah stood on the lowest plateau away from the abyss from her perch, his fluffy dirty blond hair tousling with the wind as he crouched down beside his gun, eyes sharp as an eagle staring at the entrance into the passage.

Noah was the strongest fighter she had ever met, he was already an excellent swordsman when she first encountered him. Trading planets had no laws in regards to their people, so often young children would take arms and fight in underground rinks for money.

That's where she first laid eyes on him. Bloodied but still standing as the MC raised his hand up in victory. The crowd jeered wildly at the triumph of this child over a giant muscular man who remained unmoving on the floor in a pool of his own blood.

The look in Noah's eyes, cold and yet somehow, sad at the same time had Stella immediately raptured. She went to the rink so often, every night to see him that he had noticed her presence too. There he introduced her to Helia, his best friend who also shared his dream of freedom.

They had come a long way from being grime covered children to the illustrious rebellion fighters they were today.

The sound of the ship engine echoing through the canal derailed Stella's train of thoughts she adjusted her stance. She had seen Drakari ships for the last 4 years, a hardened attack machine far superior to when they were just Silver ships, but it never failed to make her heart race.

That Silver emblem never failed to make her heart race.

Right on target, the ship came nosediving down into the lowest plateau. It's propellers unhinged and destroyed from Helia's whips.

"Move out!" She heard Noah command before the sound of energy bullets shooting out of guns echoed through the plateau. Magic attacks flew in several direction following the close combat attacks as the assault team engaged.

They were halfway through taking out the men dressed in black combat suits when Stella moved to stand guard next to Mila. Her frightened eyes were scouring the battlefield, following each kill that was happening.

So far 8 Drakari were down and no Rebellion members, though some injuries.

"Almost done," Stella murmured, squeezing Mila's hand, "Don't engage until they're done, we can go down there and free the prisoners after," Mila nodded in response.

They never do engage, just help afterwards.

The sound of the radio crackling in her ear perked her attention, "St-ella there's a-ther sh-p," Helia's crackled voice sounded from the other end and Stella straightened up. But his com had patched in a fraction of a second too late.

Stella's hazel eyes immediately caught sight of the second Drakari ship that loomed overhead. Two ships. There were two damn ships and with the way it's guns were charging in the direction of the highest plateau, it seemed to have located the reserve team.

"EVERYONE JUMP!" Stella screamed, grabbing Mila's hand and bounding from her perch a millisecond before the machine guns riddled the rocks with bullets.

Stella landed hard on her side, taking most of the fall as Mila's small body landed on top of her. "Dammit!" Stella cursed, glaring at the airborne ship that was reloading its rounds again. "Helia I need that ship brought down,"

"On it, we're coming to you," His voice sounded through her ear piece and Stella forced her aching body up onto her knees as she stood with her figure shielding Mila on the ground.

"Are you hurt?" She asked hastily, her eyes examining Mila and the rest of her 8 person team that seemed to have made the fall seemingly fine.

"N-No, I'm okay," Mila managed to cough out.

"Good." She breathed, "Now everyone, take cover!" Spinning her body on her knees, Stella pulled out her energy loaded guns, send a wave of bullets in the direction of the ship that was taking a moment to reload. Giving her team time to run and take cover.

The ships exterior was nothing like their usual exoskeleton, this one was harder and the bullets just bounced off it, taking nothing more than scratches. Its wings were sleeker and gave off a devastating amount of power as it hovered. It was bearing the Silver emblem at it's hull rather than the back on the usual models.

The ship had flown above the plateau, cutting right against the harsh winds and going right over the recon team. What kind of monstrosity of tech was this?!

Helia's team were 5 minutes away from the assault team. Stella couldn't bring this defiance of nature down on her own, she needed the whips.

But she sure as hell could hold it off for the next 300 seconds.

The ship had reloaded even faster than the old models, sending down another bucket of bullets as Stella took cover with her back against the nearest butte. The moment the ship trilled to signal its reload, Stella's gun was already aimed and fired.

She was grateful it was focusing on her and not on Noah's team.

"What are you doing?!" Noah's voice broke through her earpiece frantically, "GET OUT OF THERE!"

"And let you have all the glory?" She huffed back sarcastically. She could practically imagine the pissed of expression Noah probably wore. He hated being defied.

295. 296. 297

She could feel her gun get lighter, running out of energy bullets. Weapons were powered by the magic within a person, despite not being a fairy or wizard, everyone in Magix had magical energy. Energy blades and guns were only as powerful as their user.

And she was running out magic faster than her body could produce it.

Dammit.

298. 299

The ship had reloaded from its own energy reserves and its barrel spun menacing in her direction, powering up to spit out bullets again.

300.

"Duck," Helia's voice was like a flipping angel as he murmured through the comms calmly and coolly.

Stella's knees hit the ground immediately as the beast of a machine came hurling down over her head. Helia stood on the plateau behind where the ship was hovering, his energy whips reeling back into the glove as Stella let out an incredulous laugh.

Noah was right, Helia was definitely a show off, but a damn good one at that.

The crashed ships aerial bridge expanded down and more Drakari solders poured out of it. Dropping the guns, Stella pulled her daggers out of her suit sheath. She had never been any good at long range attacks either.

The reserve team didn't hesitate for a moment before engaging in combat. But while each member was occupied with a single Drakari, Stella was cutting through 3 at a time, disarming and knocking them out.

Her body spun, avoiding a cut on the chest before her foot rammed hard under the attacker's throat. Through the years she had cultivated an immense amount of physical strength despite not being able to conjure any spells.

Noah's eyes caught sight of her figure, slicing through soldier after solider as she made a break for the ship itself. He couldn't stop his jaw dropping slightly, sure he trained her himself, but the strength and skill Stella displays each time he watches her fight is intensely amazing.

Her elbow rammed into the closest solider, in the same instance as her blade hilt ploughed right into another attacker's face, knocking them both out.

She looked incredible.

Stella ducked, her fist sending yet another solider hurling before her eyes caught sight of Noah's bright blue gaze staring back at her from the other side of the battlefield. For a split second, she sent a mocking smirk his way and her dagger pierced into the leg of the third solider before she kicked him back in the back of the knee.

Noah would be lying if his heart didn't beat a little louder at what she just did.

"Focus," He chided through the comms, tearing his gaze from her to focus on his own damn fight.

"I am," She shot back with a smug chuckle, "You focus," Before Noah could shoot something back, a shrill scream stopped Stella's flow. She skidded to a stop and her sharp eyes immediately locating her sound of the cry.

Mila.

Stella had made sure to keep her from the fight by setting her down behind the butte. Mila had taken a few injuries from the fall making it difficult for her to move but it seemed a Drakari had noticed her.

She sat on her knees as a solider stood in front of her, his blade extended in attempt to hurt her.

Stella pulled her dagger out of the solider she was holding down and made a break towards Mila. One throw of her dagger into his wrist and she'd be able to disarm him long enough for her to take him out.

Until her eyes caught sight of his face,

The solider had brown eyes, and brunette hair as he stood over Mila who sat kneeling in front of him. Stella's body froze as she skidded to a stop. All she could see was herself instead of Mila, kneeling before the same cold brown eyes. Her dirtied coronation dress covered in her father's blood as she clutched his hand, crying and screaming for him to wake up while the man she loved watched.

It wasn't Brandon Silver standing before Mila. But all she could see was him, in that soldier's face. His damn face, his burning dark mahogany and sinister smirk as she kneeled and cried before him. The hate in the solider's eyes mirrored Brandon's that night.

"No, that's not him." She gritted out to herself, trying to shake herself out of her own trance. But her gaze kept switching between the soldier's real face and the vivid image of Brandon standing over her father's dead body as she kneeled in front of him under his raised blade.

Begging at his mercy to spare her life.

"No, no it's NOT HIM DAMMIT WAKE UP!" She screamed to herself but her body refused to move. Frozen and trembling at the memory that kept flashing before her. Mila was going to die if she didn't move, move please dammit MOVE!

The soldier raised his blade in the same way Brandon had done in her memory, ready to sever Mila's head from her shoulders.

Kill him! Kill him before he kills her DAMMIT! Fucking MOVE!

The soldier's blade came down without a shred of hesitance and the sound of flesh slicing echoed.

My editor is a bag of rats he said to kill as many characters as I can 'to set the scene'.

I will leave you with that note HEHE

Lots of love,
