Jake had already been forming ideas in his head on how to protect Callista from these cats. Now he just had to convince the rest of the group to go along with them. That included Chance, who was going to object to several of his ideas. He asked, "Callista, where are you meeting these cats tonight?"

Callista turned her head towards Jake and replied, "I am meeting them at Ambrosia."

Jake turned to Felina and asked, "Do you have a laptop? I need to access the city's main database and bring up the layout of the area around the restaurant, including all the buildings within a few block radius."

Felina went to her bedroom to retrieve the computer that the Enforcers had given her. She entered her bedroom and went to her closet. She opened the door and withdrew a box that contained her laptop. She then returned to the living room, and the rest of the group, before she said, "Here you go. I never opened the box, so I hope it still works."

Jake took the box from her and placed it on the table in front of him before opening it up. Once the box was opened, it revealed a brand new HP laptop PC that was, from what he could see, a few generations old, still wrapped in its protective, plastic covering. He carefully removed the plastic and placed it in the box that the laptop had come out of. He then tried to turn the computer on, but the battery was dead from never having been charged. Jake then removed the power cord from the box and connected the laptop to the wall outlet. He tried again to boot the computer up, and this time the computer came to life.

While he waited for the computer to finish booting, he asked, "Tina, how good are you with a rifle?"

Tina replied, "I have been shooting since I was a teenaged kitten. I guess I rank just above average."

"Just above average?" Felina said. "You are one of the best shots at the Academy. No one there, except maybe me, can handle a rifle as well as you can."

That was exactly what Jake wanted to hear. The laptop finally finished booting and awaited his commands. Jake quickly hacked into the building's WiFi connection and logged into the systems back at the hangar. In a short matter of time, he found city layout he was looking for. Jake studied the screen for a few minutes, and then said, "Here is my plan, Tina. You are going to be positioned on the roof of the building directly across the street. From that vantage point, you should be able to hit any target on three out of the four sides of the building that houses the restaurant. Felina, you and Callie are going to be stationed by the access door to the alley between the two buildings to the right. One of you will hide in the alcove of the adjacent building; the other will be at the rear of the alley, securing that position. Ulysses, I know that you are not going to want to leave Callista's side for any reason, so I am going to ask you to stay out front with your car. That way, if something does go wrong, you can get her out of there fast. That leaves Katerina and Chance. Since Chance is on injured reserve, and Katerina is sequestered in Felina's apartment, I am giving you two a very special mission. You both are going to monitor everything from here. Katerina, if Chance gives you any problems, you have my permission to kick his tail."

"Why can't I drive Ulysses and Callista to the restaurant? I am a much better driver than Ulysses is any day," Chance asked.

Jake turned to him and replied, "That may be true, buddy, but you can't walk, much less drive with that leg of yours. If you so much as try to leave this apartment, I will have Katerina tie you to a chair and have you watch as she handles things by herself. Is that clear?"

Chance just looked away and didn't even respond to Jake's threat.

Mark did not want to be left out of all the excitement. He asked, "What about me and Lisa? Don't we get to help our new friends?"

Or you could do "Mark did not want to be left out of the action." instead.

Jake looked over at Mark and Lisa and thought, 'Mark is strong enough to handle any situation that gets thrown at him by himself. I could use him to cover the left side of the building. Now Lisa looks like she could be passed off as one of the waitresses. I could use her on the inside, keeping an eye and an ear on the everything that is going on, and also to give us a leg up if something is about to go wrong.' Jake replied, "Mark, here is what I am going to have you do. You are going to cover the left alley. That is the most vulnerable position, since the kitchen exit opens onto it, and it is very easily accessible by the main road. Lisa, I am going to have you go inside and pose as a waitress. You are going to be reconnaissance. If anything goes wrong, you are to grab Callista and get her out of there. We will handle the rest."

Mark placed his arms around Lisa and said, "Your first undercover assignment. You think you can handle it?"

Lisa pulled out of Mark's embrace and gave him a stern look. She then said, "I was a waitress before I met you, honey. I had to pay for school somehow. It was the only job that could accommodate my schedule. This will be a piece of cake."

"I'm glad you feel that way, Lisa. Now, there is one more thing. Mark and Lisa, I can assume that you have heard of the SWAT Kats?"

Mark turned his head to look at Jake before he said, "Who hasn't heard of them, Jake? They are my idols. Too bad I never knew about Caliber and Empress before that news cast. Those two are a pair of hot she-cats. I could have set them up with my brothers." He then looked down at Lisa, who looked like she was going to kill him. He smiled and then said, "But my fiancé is way hotter than they are."

Tina leaned over to Mark and whispered, "Nice save, big boy."

He leaned towards Tina and whispered back, "I try."

Lisa heard every word that was said between the two, and gave him a punch in the arm. She had to rub her paw afterwards, because she hurt her paw from hitting his solid muscles.

Jakes snickered as the two lovers playfully fought over something so childish. He said, "Mark, you and Lisa can't go on this mission as yourselves. The Commanding Officers of the Enforcers will have a fit if they found out that you and Lisa did this. They would probably throw you both off of the force. You both are going to need cover names, just like we all have, except for Callista and Ulysses. Since you are built like a Greek God, your code name is going to be Adonis." He turned to Lisa and asked, "Lisa, the way that you move, you exude confidence with every fluid step. Did you used to dance or something in the past?"

"Yes, I was a ballet dancer before I joined the Enforcers," Lisa replied.

"I thought so. How would you feel about calling yourself Pirouette? I think that would suit you very well," Jake asked.

Lisa thought about the name for a brief minute. She smiled, and then replied, "I like it." She turned to Mark and asked, "What do you think, Adonis?"

Mark shifted his gaze to his fiancé and replied, "I think it suits you perfectly. I like the name Pirouette; it's as beautiful as you are, my dear."

Lisa then lifted her head and kissed him, lightly.

"I am glad that you both like your code names. Welcome to the SWAT Kats, Black Ops," Jake said.

Chance shot Jake a very angry look before he yelled, "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING, JAKE? BLACK OPERATIONS? WE DON'T NEED A BLACK OPERATIONS DIVISION!"

Jake answered, "Oh yes we do, Chance. How else are we going to get some of this covert stuff done? We can't exactly send in Empress as the Deputy Mayor, or Caliber, since she is going to be the new commander. It only makes sense for Mark and Lisa to step into that role."

Mark let go of Lisa and said, "Wait a minute, you two are T-Bone and Razor, and Callie and Lt. Feral are Empress and Caliber?" He then turned to Felina and Callie and said, "I apologize for calling you two hot she-cats, even if you are."

Felina let out a slight laugh as she held her paws to her mouth. She then said, after she lowered her paws back down, "You don't have to apologize, Mark. Knowing that a younger tom thinks I am hot is a compliment." She turned to Callie and asked, "Don't you agree?"

"Why, yes I do, Felina. I like knowing that I can still turn a younger tom's head," Callie replied.

Chance took Callie's paw in his and said, "You don't have to worry about that, my dear. If you have your grandmother's genes, you are going to be beautiful for the rest of your life."

"Thank you, Chance. I knew I was going to marry you for a reason," Callie said before she kissed him.

Lisa asked, "You are marrying him?

"Yes, I am, Lisa, and Felina is marrying Jake. We also are both pregnant with their kittens," Callie said.

Lisa was not thrilled to hear that they were pregnant out of wedlock because of her beliefs, but she did not want to put a damper on what had to be planned out, or upset her new friends and comrades. She said, "I am happy that you both have found toms to spend the rest of your lives with. I have a feeling that they are going to love you two forever."

"Thank you, Lisa. I know that we are going to love them and our kittens for the rest of our lives," Jake replied as he took Felina's paw in his.

Ulysses was going over Jake's plan in his head. He thought, 'It could work, but I would feel better if there was some air support, just in case.' He said, "Jake, I think your plan will work. Can I make a suggestion, though?"

Jake turned to Ulysses and said, "Sure, what is your idea?"

"What about some air support? Do you have something that you can use, since the TurboKat is probably still out of commission?"

Jake was not quite ready to reveal the TurboKat 2 to him, but he was right. Having that jet in the air would give them an advantage over The Society. He said, "You are right, Ulysses. Having a jet in the air would give us a leg up over them, and we do have a second jet. So this is what we are going to do. Felina, you and I are going to take the TurboKat 2 and patrol the area. That means that Empress is going to have to handle the right side of the building on her own. With her powers, and her ability to fight, I don't think she will have any problems covering that side of the building."

Chance scowled as he heard the new plan that would leave Callie to cover the entire side of one building on her own. He said, "No way are you leaving my fiance' out there alone! She needs to have someone watching her back! We have been taught to always have back-up, no matter what, and you are going to let her watch that side of the building by herself? I don't think so."

"Will you relax? If she is anything like Callista, she is not going to need any help in taking care of herself," Jake replied.

"That might be true, Jake, but Callista is not pregnant with my kittens! Callie means more to me than life itself! After the TurboKat went up in flames, I vaguely remember being somewhere and telling her that she must return to the land of the living and leave me in the afterlife. As I was being judged by a goddess, I told her that I loved Callie so much that it hurt me more than death to have her not living her life to the fullest. I will NOT allow her to be put in harm's way!"

Chance's words weighed very heavily on Jake. If it was Felina in the same position, he would be acting the same way. He slowly turned to look at his fianceé and saw her looking at her dearest friend, very concerned. Jake then said, "Alright, she won't be alone. As much as I don't want to possibly place Katerina out there without real training of any kind, I have no choice." He turned to Katerina and asked, "Havoc, will you be willing to work alongside Empress?"

Katerina squeezed Tina's paw a little tighter and replied, "Da, I want nothing more than to protect my new friends and family."

"I'm glad to hear that, Katerina. Now, how do we deal with your sequestration? You are not supposed to leave this apartment until you start the academy," Felina asked.

Ulysses asked Katerina, "Do you have a tracking collar yet?"

"Niet, I have not even seen one," Katerina replied.

"Then as long as you are careful, you should be able to help Callie without a problem," Ulysses said.

All of them looked over at Ulysses, especially Felina.

Chance then said, "Ulysses, I can't believe that you, Mr-Follow-The-Rules-And-Regulations-At-All-Times, are actually suggesting that Katerina should violate the terms of her release?"

Ulysses kissed Callista's paw before he said, "Because, this beautiful lady standing next to me means more to me than all the rules and regulations in the world."

Callista blushed ever so slightly after Ulysses spoke. She turned away from Ulysses so he would hopefully not see her blushing.

Ulysses did notice her slight movements, so he brought his strong paw under her chin, and gently lifted her face so she could stare into his eyes. He then asked, "You never have to hide anything from me, my love. So why are you turning that beautiful face away from me?"

Ulysses' comment made her blush even deeper. Steven had showered her with his affections all the time, and she had loved having him do so. Although, for some reason, when Ulysses did the same thing that Steven had, it sent tiny little sparks through her body, and made her feel much more alive. She replied, "I just didn't want to seem like an overly emotional she-cat that blushes every time that she hears her tom's voice."

"You can blush all you want, dear. It only makes you even more beautiful in my eyes," Ulysses replied, before he claimed her lips with his.

Everyone watched as Ulysses kissed Callista with a passion that they had never seen in him before.

Felina was so happy that her uncle had finally found someone to be with after his very bitter divorce from Adara. However, Felina, being herself, could not help but poke a little fun at her uncle's expense. She said, "Uncle, if you want to taste her that badly, you two can use my bedroom. I promise you won't be disturbed."

That little joke made Ulysses bolt upright and give her a very stern look of annoyance.

Felina had never seen her uncle look at her that way. She asked herself, 'Did I go too far with that one?' She then saw Callista placing her paw delicately on Ulysses tail section, and then thought, 'Nope, I know just how far to push my uncle. I can't wait until they are married and she is my aunt. We are going to have so much fun ganging up on him.'

Jake rolled his eyes and groaned at Felina's actions. He then said, "A trip to the hangar is in order to get the four of you suited up and ready for tonight. Before we go, I need to have the restaurant owner, Raul, give his waitress the night off, so Lisa can take her place."

He took his phone out of his pocket and made a call.

"Hello?"

"Raul, it's Jake Clawson," Jake replied.

"Mr. Clawson. Have I missed a payment on the security system, or is there another reason that you are calling me personally?"

"No Raul, you are all caught up. However, I need you to give one of your waitresses the night off. I need to have one of my own in there tonight."

"Why would I want to do that, Mr. Clawson? I trust my staff to be discreet, and someone has booked the entire restaurant for the night. They paid in advance, plus a very healthy tip."

"Look, I need to have her waiting that table tonight, no matter what, Raul. You still owe 75 large on that security system we designed and installed. How about an exchange? You let my employee be a waitress for you tonight, and I make that number go away? Does that sound fair, or do I need to start tacking on interest to that?" Jake replied.

"You can't do that! I have paid on time, every month, without fail!"

"Yes, you have, but the contract stated you had a year to pay for the system. It's been over a year and a half. Either my employee waits for you tonight, or your payments are going double. What is your choice, Raul?" Jake asked.

Raul was backed into a corner, and really didn't want to have another waitress in his restaurant, especially considering that the request to book the restaurant had come as more of an order. He knew the cat that had made the reservation was very well connected, and did not want to get on his bad side for fear of retribution against him and his family. Then there was the offer to eliminate the rest of the debt that he owed to Claw-Tek. That option was very enticing to him. It would allow him to free up several thousand dollars to update the kitchen, which was something that he had desperately wanted to do for quite some time. Making up his mind, he replied, "Alright, your waitress is in. Have her go to Sally's Dress Shop downtown and get the standard uniform, but I am not paying for it!"

"Thank you, Raul. She will not make you look bad." Jake looked over at Lisa and saw how beautiful she really was. He then said, "I think that she will be one of the best-looking waitresses that you have ever had." Jake then hung up the phone, turned to Lisa and said, "You are all set. The only thing you have to do is get a uniform from Sally's Dress Shop."

Callista heard the name of the dress shop where Lisa had to go to in order to get her uniform, and she suddenly remembered that she needed to get the dress for her date with Ulysses from the same shop. She said, "Lisa, I need to pick up something from the same shop. Why don't we go together so we can get to know each other better, and you can see that I am not an 'Evil Sorceress'?" She made quotation marks with her fingers as she spoke those last words.

Lisa turned to Mark and asked, "Do you think you can stand to be apart from me for a few hours, dear?"

"It will be very hard, my love, but I think I can manage," Mark replied, then kissed her. He then said after he pulled back, "On second thought, I might not survive without being able to bask in your beauty. I might need another kiss to hold me over."

Lisa gave him a stern look, but Mark was looking down at her with those big puppy dog eyes that always made her give in to his demands. She lifted her head up and kissed him. Then with her left paw, slipped down his strong back to his butt and gave it a squeeze while placing her tongue in his mouth.

Mark had not been expecting Lisa to be that aggressive, especially in front of their new friends. However, he was enjoying this side of her, very much. He pulled her tighter into his body so she could feel his excitement building.

Lisa was enjoying being passionately kissed by Mark. She felt how much he loved her with every touch of his strong paws, in his loving embrace, and the way that he responded to her kisses. She wanted to show him that she loved him just as much as he loved her. She ran her right paw up under his shirt to his chest and let it lay flat against his left pec, so she could feel his heart rapidly beating.

Mark felt her paw on his chest, and desperately wanted to pick her up and carry her to Felina's bedroom so he could rip off her clothes and make love to her.

Lisa knew that if she didn't stop right then, Mark would lose control and do something drastic. She pulled back from the kiss, but kept her paws where they were on his body. She breathed heavily for a few moments before she said, "Do you think that will hold you over until I see you again?" She winked at him after she finished speaking.

Mark was just as breathless as she was, if not more so. He looked down into her blue eyes and said, "You are such a tease, you know that, Lisa? Another minute and I would have thrown you over my shoulder and carried you to the other room. I can hardly wait until we are married so I can finally show you how much I love you. You won't be able to walk for a while after I am done."

Lisa reached down with her right paw to his six-pack of abs and said, "It will be worth it so I can give birth to your kittens, Mark." She turned to Callista and said, "I would love to get to know you better. When do you want to leave? I don't think the shop is that far of a walk?"

Callie said, "Nonsense, Lisa, I will drive you both there. I want to see how that dress looks on Callista after the alterations are done."

"Alright, Callie, shall we go? I'll buy us a latte or something afterwards." Lisa smiled as her excitement grew inside her. She then said, "I never got to spend time with two real life sorceresses. I have read about them when I was a teenager in some romance novels where they always ended up marrying some hunky knight. I wonder if those stories hold any truth."

Callista and Callie knew exactly what novels Lisa was referring to and they both laughed. Callista said through her laughter, "Lisa, I have been courted by several knights in shining armor when I was much younger. Some of them were decent, while others weren't. Some were very naughty, and they ended up as snakes."

Lisa turned to Callista and asked, "I thought those were the days of chivalry, and toms behaved like gentlemen at all times?"

Callista placed her arm around Lisa, herding her towards the door. She then replied, "Not at all. Teenaged toms are still teenaged toms. Even back then, the toms were led by certain parts of their anatomy and not their brains. When they saw a pretty she-cat, all brain function stopped."

Lisa looked over her shoulder at Mark and asked as she walked out the door, "I wonder if my fiancée chased every she-cat in a skirt back when he was a teenager?" She placed her arm around Callista and looked into her eyes before she said, "He probably did. Let's go, and we can gossip about our fiancées for the rest of the afternoon." She closed the door behind them.

Mark looked over at Chance and Ulysses as he crossed his arms over his chest and said, "Three beautiful, blonde she-cats loose in the city by themselves, getting into who knows what? Guys, we are so screwed."
