Ok, I think I've exhausted this omake series long enough. Hope you guys enjoy.
Just for those who don't know, this is a crossover between Pokemon trainer Vicky and Ghost in the City.
Pokemon Trainer Motoko 3: 10 years later
"Hey Jun-nii! Look what I got!" A diminuative girl showed off a retro looking game console. It was playing a a retro jingle that he had remembered hearing in old documentaries.
"What is this Motoko?" He said as he delicately took it from her hands.
"It's a gameboy and the game it's currently playing is an old game from before the crash!"
His sister declared as if it was a normal Tuesday, but Jun felt his breath hitch at the revelation.
"Where did you find this?" He asked as he inspected the game playing in the 3D printed device.
"Hehe, I got lucky and found an archive during my last deep dive of the old net filled to the brim with all sorts of games, including every single copy of these Pokémon games!"
"Imouto, these are worth a fortune..." this was an invaluable treasure, one which, if she played her cards right, could mean she would end up becoming very wealthy.
The girl just scoffed and rolled her eyes,"yeah, Hiromi said that too. She's already working hard to ensure if these games have existing copyrights or not before we start reselling them back to the public. But that's beside the point, wanna play with me?"
He looked back at her sister, who was looking at him with anticipation in her eyes.
"...Sure imouto, how do I play?"
"Oh. It's a single player game where you catch creatures called Pokémon and you travel the map called a region and battle with other people. And..."
"TRIOTRIOTRIOTRIO"
He woke up surrounded by darkness.
The only sound that could be heard was of his obnoxious, but effective alarm clock. He groaned as he lifted himself from bed and turned off the dugtrio alarm.
He yawned before getting up and went to the bathroom.
Splashing water on his face, the last bits of grogginess leaving him, he stared at the crisp image before him.
Gone was his roguish appearance, his black hair and Japanese features.
In its place was instead a young blonde haired, blue-eyed boy staring back at him.
While he had gotten used to his new appearance, getting used to being pure meat again was annoying at times, especially when he had vivid dreams of his last life.
Thankfully, they've been getting easier to shake off as the years went by.
He took a deep breath to regain his senses before he started his early morning chores.
Stepping outside his house, the sun was barely peeking from the horizon. He headed towards the family shed and started loading a wheelbarrow with bags filled with special milotic mix Pokémon food, and he made his way to the milotic pond.
The calm, serene pond turned chaotic as his footsteps drew near.
He didn't even need to call out to them at all, as they had grown used to him waking up at this hour for feeding time.
In a matter of moments, dozens of hungry water eels surrounded him.
It was going to be a long morning, as always.
"Morning" He said with a groan as he stepped into the kitchen.
A man sitting at the table turned away from his newspaper to greet him, "Morning Franky, ready for your big day?"
The exhaustion of taking care of over a hundred milotic almost caused him to forget he was being talked to by his dad.
"Yeah." The boy pulled out a box of instant breakfast burritos, popped two out and placed them in the microwave.
"Oh come on now Franky, you just turned 10, a Pokémon journey is a monumental occasion." His father added, "why, your sister Vicky was so excited about her first journey, she started years beforehand."
"Didn't sis also drive you, Mom, Gram Gram and everyone else in Indigo insane during her initial year?" he deadpanned.
His father chuckled nervously, "true, but if it wasn't for your sister's outlandishness, the entire world would have been worse off without it."
He gave a hum of acknowledgement, his sister in his previous life was much the same. Always heading out to do outrageously dangerous, risky and stupid things despite his warnings. Yet her actions benefited everyone around her, and he was proud of her both here and back in Night City.
He just didn't feel it was possible to keep up with her, especially now when she had a massive 10-year head start.
The world they lived in was safe, far safer than even the safest places on his old world, despite the existence of all the sentient wannabe Biotechnica experiments running around everywhere.
He had a hard time believing this world was anything but a BD for a long time. Though, his sister managed to bring him out of that mentality when she found out who he was.
The microwave dinged, bringing him out of his thoughts, his burritos were done. So he grabbed a plate and sat down for breakfast.
He lifted the burrito to his watering mouth and was about to take a bite, but he was startled by a heavy weight that pressed over him.
"Surprise Vicky back hug!"
He nearly dropped his breakfast as he struggled against his sister's crushing grip and weight.
It was times like these he really missed his chrome.
"Get off me, you're heavy!" He instinctively swung his burritoless fist at her, and in an instant the weight from her sister lift from him, accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a person with a sandevistan moving away.
His fist missed, but he didn't care and released a sigh of relief as he felt his back was no longer being glomped by this madwoman.
He turned to glare at the perpetrator. In front of him stood a young woman in a lab coat that she wore like a cape, her long blonde hair fashioned into a ponytail. Her blue eyes looked natural but in truth, one of them was a knock off kiroshi that she had made herself.
If corpos from his previous life had the ability to cross dimensions, they would have sued his sister and their new family years ago for the blatant copyright infringement. But that was not here nor there.
"Hmph! How rude, is that any way to greet your Onee-chan, my otouto?" Her face turned into a pout which would have been adorable if she was a kid, but coming from a grown woman, it was just sad.
Hearing her call herself his "onee-san" and him being called "otouto" caused him to cringe.
"I told you not to call me that."
Vicky gave him a sly grin, one he had grown used to seeing her make when she was being annoying.
"Tough luck choom, I'm the big sister this time around, so deal with it."
His eyebrow twitched,"Older in age perhaps, but not in body and mind."
"Hey!"
He interrupted her before she could say anything, "aren't you supposed to be in Galar right now?"
She had gone on one of her frequent trips overseas a few days ago because she claimed that trip was necessary since it would, in her words, "keep Leon humble," but in reality it was an excuse she used so that she could escape her paperwork and go play in the snow with the local Snom colonies.
His adult elder sister scoffed, "politics can wait, I am here because my cute ototou is going on his first journey, I'm sure he'll un-"
Suddenly, Vicky stopped talking mid-sentence, staring at his breakfast plate like it had insulted her.
Despite looking nothing like his old imouto, he could never forget the look of absolute disgust his imouto would give him whenever he was eating his beloved XXL burritos.
A face which his current elder sister was giving his plate of egg Burritos.
"Ugh, seriously Franky?"
"What?" He knew what, but he preferred to mess with her.
"You know exactly what I mean!" She spread her arms open in a dramatic fashion.
"We live in such a wonderful green world filled with plenty of delicious, FRESH food options," she then pointed an accusing finger at his burrito, "and you STILL cling to those frozen, stale burritos for breakfast?"
He shrugged, "they're delicious."
"No they're not! They are ultra processed slop that would barely qualify as Pokémon foo-"
"Vicky, stop criticizing your brother's breakfast options and sit down," their mother told her with a small glare. One which caused Vicky to flinch, immediately deflating her anger.
"Yes mama." She sat down and was given a plate with eggs, bacon and toast.
"But Vicky is right Franky, you need to eat something else besides those burritos you are so fond of."
Franky does his best to ignore his sister's smug look before responding.
"Yes mom, I'll do it next time," Mom nodded before serving dad and herself their food and sitting down to eat.
The family had a nice breakfast while catching up on what Vicky was doing overseas.
Then the sound of a doorbell rang across the house.
"Gram gram's here!" Vicky rose from the table and went to the front door.
The door opened, and he heard Vicky and Gram Gram exchanging pleasantries before walking into the house.
The aged woman strode in with confidence, like she owned the place. She was gray haired like most elderly people, but her face looked like she was in her 40s with the energy of a woman in her 20s.
Apparently, when Gram Gram started growing weaker as the years went by, Vicky had grown frantic and done everything she could to extend her lifespan, and by extension every person in this world. Her "inventions" were considered revolutionary to this bright world, even though back home they were just run-of-the-mill cosmetics and procedures that most people with spare eddies to burn had access to.
His sister even brought actual, functional chrome into this world.
Chrome which he was flatly denied by all parties because they didn't want him to have nice things.
"Well, if it isn't my favorite grandson. Come here!" And he was then assaulted, once again, by a barrage of hugs and kisses.
When he first gained lucidity in this world, he did his best to evade the onslaught, but there was not much he could do to repel a grandmother's affection. So he had learned to accept it.
"Oh, and useless son of mine. I see you're the same as always." When it came to dad, gram gram never pulled any punches.
"Not so useless when my kids are your favorite grandchildren, are they?" Dad retorted back.
"Feh, you have a point, but unless you get a cat and ditch those mutts, your name stays."
Gram gram and dad were about to start their usual bickering, but before they could escalate, Vicky clapped her hands loud enough to interrupt their back and forth.
"And so now that I have your attention, it's time for the big moment," she turned to him, "time for Franky to choose his very own Pokémon!"
At her declaration, they all headed towards the living room. A few pieces of furniture moved around so that there was a space big to showcase what his sister brought.
Vicky pulled out 3 pokeballs.
"Normally, you would only have the option between Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle, but my connections have allowed me access to multiple starters from other regions. Unfortunately, because this is an official sponsored starter selection, I can only give you the option of three starters.
So I did my best to convince the starters I thought might mesh well with you to come with me."
She released the first one, a green turtle Pokémon with twin leaves on its head.
A turtwig.
She explained what it was, where it came from and its personality. And in true Vicky fashion, yapped about how "good turtle bois and gurls" turtwigs were.
Next on the list, a mudkip graced the living room.
Much like the previous pokemon, Vicky explained the basic information of a mudkip. She even made a joke about how much people like mudkips for some reason. I mean, he understood why, it was because it's cute but so were 90 percent of all first stage pokemon evolutions.
"Alright. And last but not least."
Vicky finally she released the last one.
And in an instant an oppressive chill invaded the living room.
A massive 6'4 tall beast now loomed over the family. Its fur was as pure and white as snow, but the malice eminating from it was enough to cause his heart to skip a beat.
"Whoops not you!" Vicky immediately recalled the white monster back into its pokeball.
The sudden, drastic change in temperature allowed him to release a breath he didn't realize he was holding. And based on the sounds their family made, they too were in the same boat.
"V-V-Victoria F-F-Ferrous, what was that?!" His mother demanded.
"Oh nothing important, just a grumpy cat that I found sealed somewhere. I ran out of Ultra balls and used pokeballs to catch him. I'm still working on rehabilitation efforts, and I'm going on a tangent. It's nothing to worry about" she waved him off.
"Trouble that is..." his dad started, but seeing his sister reaching back into her bag caused him to deflate and sit back down in defeat.
"THIS is what I was searching for!"
She released a black and red kitten.
A litten.
Gram Gram's eyes immediately lit up at the sight of the creature.
"Huh, how'd you get here cutie pie? I could have sworn that was scorbunny's pokeball-" the cat pokemon just hissed at her as she tried to pet her which caused Vicky to back off with a placating gesture.
"Well, since she wants to be here, might as well let her." she turned to him, "Now then, it's all up to you Franky. Choose."
Seeing his sister make the offer, he obliged and walked up to the three Pokémon.
Two of which were still frightened due to the monster his sister unleashed, while the litten, who had been glaring at Vicky just earlier, suddenly shifted its tone and just stared at him with her eyes sparkling.
He stuck his hand out and the cat just walked towards him, sniffed it and took a taste lick before nuzzling over his hand. Seeing this he smiled and picked her up gently.
" I choose Litten."
"Great choice, favorite grandson of mine!" gram gram exclaimed.
"Of coarse you'd go for litten," Vicky snorted, but it was the wrong thing for her to say as both Gram Gram and the Litten narrowed their eyes at her.
"What's that supposed to mean Trouble?"
"Nothing Gram gram, cats are cute!" Vicky instantly said, doing her best to avoid Gram gram's wrath.
"Hmph."
Vicky coughed into her fist and said, "Anyway, since you chose her, I have to show you how to take care of her."
Vicky shifted her demeanor back into "professor mode" and started to explain her diet, favorite flavors, practical care tips, etc.
He was used to taking care of most of Vicky's extensive collection Pokémon at the family ranch, so if anything, It's going to be less of a hassle to keep up with litten and any potential team members in the future.
"I'm surprised she's so tame with you. Normally, she's quite the gremlin who loves causing trouble." Vicky shrugs her shoulders, "plus, for some reason, she has a major grudge against me. She's already broken tons of my vases and has given me a few heart attacks because she antagonized a lot of Pokémon thrice her size." She shrugged in a 'what can you do' pose.
"Anyway, what are you going to name her?"
So this one is a troublemaker who can't help but seek trouble wherever she goes?
He smiled, oh, He knew the PERFECT name for this girl.
He stared directly at Vicky and his smile turned mischievous, which confused his older sister.
"I think I'll call her... Motoko."
The look on Vicky's face was priceless, "b-but Ju- I mean Franky, you have to ask your pokemon if they want to be called by your picked nickname, it's very important or else-"
He looked down at the cat, who was still staring at him with sparkly eyes. Then he lifted her up by her front legs and stared into her eyes.
"Do you mind if I call you Motoko? "
The fire cat didn't even let him finish before she nodded enthusiastically, causing Vicky to hold her head in defeat.
"Then it's settled, welcome to the team Motoko."
AN: That's all I have folks.
I got this idea one day just thinking about this setting more and wondered: What if Jun got isekaid too but as the younger brother this time?
I hope Jun doesn't sound too OOC, I haven't caught up with Ghost in the City yet and Jun's voice isn't that fresh in my mind. This is Jun as I remember him but mellowed out after living in the pokemon world for 5ish years.
I'm still trying to get back into writing as I'm still stretching some atrophied writing muscles.
Also, the pokemon Vicky unleashed in the living room was Chien pao
from Scarlet and Violet.
