We all were stretching inside the dojo then Jerry rushing inside through the door, "Guys, huge problem..." Jerry said, "Kelsey vargas, The coolest girl in school, is on her way down here."

"Don't panic. We've trained for this. Guys, bust out the emergency deodorant." Jack ordered, as Eddie and Milton race to their duffel bag, which making rolled my eyes.

"I don't need deodorant." Jerry said.

"We all need deodorant. We're teenage boys. Our bodies are a smorgasbord of smells." Milton said.

"I don't take any chances. I'm wearing a necklace of air fresheners right now." Eddie show them his necklace of before smelling it, "This week I'm alpine meadow."

"I told Kelsey I was a martial arts expert. And the youngest Sensei in history." Jerry explained.

"Jerry, the one thing that girl dislike is lying about a title that you aren't even is." I said to him.

Just on time Rudy walked in to hand Jerry a helmet. "Oh, Rudy, Kelsey's on her way. Dude, please hook me up with that black belt."

"You can't have this belt. It's a symbol of hard work,
honor and respect." Rudy said proudly.

"Well, then why do you use it to walk your dog?" Jack asked.

"That was one time and it was an emergency. I had a pug with the squirts and new white carpet." Rudy defeated himself.

"Look, can we stop talking and get to sparring, please?" Rudy tried to change the subject. "Jerry, you're up against Kim. Milton, you're with Arabella. Eddie, you're with Jack."

"Jack?!" Eddie exclaimed in panic, as Jack perform really complicated movements and ended it all with flying dragon kick. "Uh, hold on. My phone's vibrating. You know, I hate to be that guy, but... hello?"

"You mean the guy that pretends. His wallet is a phone?" I asked, feeling sorry for him.

"Please, shh!" Eddie said as he walked out of the dojo.

"Come on, guys, let's go." Rudy clapped his hands together as we all started to spar.

"Hi, Jerry." Kelsey interrupted them when she walked in.

"Kelsey, what a surprise." Jerry said in a fake cheerily tone to her.

"So these are your students that fear and respect you?" Kelsey asked as her tone was doubtful.

"Yes, we are." Kim said in overly sweet tone, "I'm about to fear and respect. The living grits out of him right now."

"Oh no, not my grits. I'm gonna need my grits." Jerry said scared. Kim flipped him over easily when he stood up, he was very dizzy.

"Yeah, I'd say you've got that move down pretty well." Jerry tried to keep his sensei act up. "Oh, you guys take a five. Kelsey and I are gonna get a froyo. Oh, come on, Kelsey." Jerry said but he put his arm around Rudy instead of Kelsey.

I was sitting between Jack and Kim by the staircase and lockers. When Jerry walked down the stairs and towards us.

"Hey, thanks a lot, Kim. You cost me a date with the coolest girl in school."

"What are you gonna do, Sensei, throw me out of the dojo?" Kim mocked him.

"Kim, in the future. let's respect Jerry enough. Not to embarrass him in front of girls he's lying to." Jack said.

"Thank you, Jack. It's called decency, Kim." Jerry said.

We heard a sound of a trumpet and it caught our attention, to be revealed to be Milton in dress in medieval king.

"All hail miltonius, The newly-crowned king of Nerina!" He cheers as everyone but me cringe.

"See, Milton, this is the reason. You had to go to spring formal with the biolab skeleton." Jack said.

"I'll have you know that bonita is an excellent dancer." Milton defended himself.

"Hey, I know what's going on." Eddie said, "It's that time of year when all the dorks come out. To play swords and magic in the park."

"Or if it rains, we use the bingo hall at the senior center." Milton said, "We tear it up."

"Hi, Jerry." Kelsey walked passed us.

"Hey, Kelsey. I was just talking to this kid, I've never seen before. I don't even know his name.
Right, Milton?" Jerry tried to be cool before realizing his slip, "Really, Jerry?"

"Guys, big news: This year you all are gonna participate in the battle with me." Milton said excitedly.

"What happened to all your other friends?" Kim asked him, "You know, the ones that throw up when Bella and I try to talk to them?"

"Well, this year things are a little complicated. Francis has a bassoon recital, Jeffrey is a finalist in the math olympics. And Louis got grounded for teaching his cockatiel bad words." Mitlon told us.

"Dude, we're not gonna be a part of your nerd fest." Jerry said rudely.

"Very funny, Jerry."

"Nerd fest is in Minneapolis in October." I added as everyone but Milton look at me, "What, I hang out with Milton on these events because it fun to cosplay."

"See, Milton, a bunch of dudes in tights, Running around the woods beating each other senseless. With foam swords... it's just not our thing." Jack told him.

"Well, it's my thing. And I wanna share this moment with my best friends." Milton said sadly, "That's you guys."

"I don't know. I just quit the cello. And threw out my panda bear backpack. I'm just starting to get cool." Eddie tried to be out it.

"Come on, just give it a chance. Soon you'll know the exhilaration of bounding down a hill, Cape aflutter, to slay a half-elf with a foam rubber axe. Are you with me? All for one and one for..." Milton explained but when he was talking I watch the other walked away when he was talking when he turned around and saw I was the only one there, "Gah! I probably lost 'em

"Yeah, they left the moment you started to talking again, but I will be to join you, you know I like to cosplay. But make me the queen, I like dress up as one." I said to him as Milton smiled to me.

"I don't know... running around the woods, beating other dudes senseless with foam swords..." Rudy said, "That just sounds like a good time to me."

"You even rented them costumes and everything." I chime in.

"Are you saying you'll go into battle with me?" Milton said.

"It would be an honor, my lord." Rudy said as he bowed.

"Wow, you two may be the only real friend I have." Milton said as I chimed in, "Aw, I know I am."

"With this bo staff I dub thee, Rudy, my faithful squire." Milton said as he dubbed Rudy to be squire with the bo staff

"I can't believe it. I'm a squire! I'm a squire! I'm a squire!" Ruby said excitedly with clapping his hands.

Rudy came on the screen first with a giant bag while Milton in his king outfit came out next and then Bella with an outfit that makes her look like a royal Queen.

"You know, I don't think this squirey thing is for me." Rudy says exhausted.

"This Turkey leg isn't gonna salt itself." Milton said as he had a turkey leg in his hand. Rudy grabbed the salt grinder and put salt on it.

"Dang it, I left my grape juice in the porta-peeper." Milton said he looked at Rudy, "What are you waiting for? Go get it."

Rudy looked defeated and walked back to get Milton's juice but fall over a log that he struggled to go over.

"It's so hard to find good squires these days." Milton said disheartening while eating his turkey leg.

Arabella sighed as she sat on a log, "You are pushing him to hard, he is only one person."

With Bella, Rudy, and Milton. They were walking until they see the Dark Knights coming to them.

"So, where is this big loyal army you've been bragging about?" Sidney spoke up to Mitlon.

"Yeah, man. Where are they?" The guy dressed up as a wizard repeated. "And you never told us you have a Queen."

Mitlon turn to Bella, "oh, it was last minute, my good friend Bella." Mitlon smirked as Arabella waves cutely at them causes the Dark knights gasped loudly.

"How do you get her to team up with you?" Sidney asked while looking at Bella.

"Because, I want too, and Milton is my friend." Arabella smiled with shrug.

"You may get the prettiest girl in your team, but you're still outnumbered."

"I got this, your highness." Rudy walk up to the enemies.

"Yeah, we may be outnumbered, But my king has the heart of a lion. And I have the speed of a... a... You know, those animals with the pointy ears. And they're really fast?"

"A gazelle." Sidney guessed.

Yeah. No no. They're skinny and they don't really run so much as... As just bound. And they kind of go grr! Oh, it's right on the tip of my tongue."

"Squire." Milton stopped him from talking and pushed Rudy aside.

"Let's just go over the rules. One: The first team to capture the other's grail. And place it on the pedestal of glory. Next to their own is the winner."

"Rule two: If you get struck on the chest, you're out."

"Cheetah!" Rudy shouted out. "Sorry, it's the animal I was thinking of earlier. It just popped into my head. I... sorry, just keep going."

"Rule three: No cursing or foul language, Unless it's a medieval word like "zounds.""

"Milton, you are better than that." Rudy gasped at him.

"Rudy, Bella, this looks bad. They'll be coming for our grail soon and I think you should know I probably won't be going home with you."

"No, don't you talk like that." Rudy walked up to Milton. "You're so young. You've got your whole life ahead of you."

Then Mitlon stopped him, "No, I won't be going home with you. Because my mom is picking me up here. To take me to the orthodontist."

Rudy looked up with realization, "Look, whatever happens down there, It's been an honor to serve under you." As Rudy saluted him.

"Then what happened need?" Arabella asked.

"Rudy, Bella, I've been thinking. You're the only two who stood by me." Bella nodded in agreement as Milton took his fake sword out.

"I hereby dub thee. Sir Rudy, my faithful knight. Queen Bella, my beloved queen." Milton tap his sword on Rudy's shoulder, while Bella blushed at the praise.

"You are far too kind." Bella said, as she like to be praised.

"I can't believe this. It's all happening so fast." Rudy smiled excitedly. " Pretty good for a kid from the wrong side of the tracks. With nothing but a pocketful of dreams. Not gonna cry. Not gonna cry."

"Get it together, man." Milton said getting Rudy out of his thoughts and raising his sword. "We're going into battle."

"Yes."

"Charge!" Dark knights yelled as they ran to Milton's territory.

The next thing happened, Rudy and Milton were trying to fight off the knights and Arabella was sitting the whole time because the rules that queen was need to be protected.

"I don't think I have much left. My tights are riding up, I got sunblock in my eye, And if I don't get a potty break soon, Something really bad's gonna happen." Rudy complained fighting off half of the army.

"Something better not happen. Those pantaloons are rented. Battle on! We must protect the grail at all costs." They continued to fighting the army while Bella was getting bored.

Then Sidney was about to defeat Milton and pointed sword at him.

"It's over, miltonius. I will take your queen and you will prepare to taste my foam."

Arabella sighed in disbelief. "Well this be the end."

As hope was dashed, a toy axe was thrown at Sidney, and Bella turned to see her friends.

"Ow! Who threw that?" Sidney looked over at people who looked horrible.

"His army is made of ogres!" Sidney gasped.

"Those aren't ogres, those are my friends." Milton replied as Jack, Jerry, Eddie, and Kim yelling as they scare the army.

"Retreat retreat!"

"You guys made it." Milton was surprised at his friends entry.

"This may not be our thing, But if it means something to you, Then we're with you, king miltonius."

"Thank you. Hey, where is Bella and who's the dude with the punked-out mullet?" Milton said then pointed at Kim, Who look confused at Milton was talking about.

"I'm right here, guys." Arabella raised her hand as everyone looked behind to see her in a queen costume.

"Wow." Jack spoke up looking at Bella who smiled at him.

"It's great that you guys come on time, because I am very angry that I can't fight, the rules said queen can't fight." Arabella said but grimaced then smiled, "But I looked cute in this queen costume."

"All right, guys, hands in. We've got us a grail to capture. Wasabi!" They all yelled.

"Charge!" Milton yelled as they ran away to fight the army.

Rudy and Bella guarded the grail, well Rudy protected both Bella and grail.

Rudy continued to fight the knights with Bella, while she would accidentally tripped some of them.

As Milton was about to jump over them by a pole and run up the mountain to grab the grail.

"Victory!" Milton yelled out as his friends cheered. They all ran up to them and gave him a pat on back.

"Way to go, Milton. You did it." Jack laughed in a happy tone.

"No, Jack, we did it." Mitlon smiled at him.

"We?" Bella said from behind. "I am very angry that you made a rule that I couldn't fight because I was playing as a queen." Bella had an angry expression on her face and glaring at Milton.

Everyone had nervous expressions on their faces at Bella's furious expression.

"Here you go, Milton. You've earned your gr..." Kim started but looked at her reflection on the grail and shrieked, "My hair. What happened to my hair?"

Kim looked around and looked Eddie, "Eddie? You are so dead!" As Kim charged at him in rage and Eddie ran away running.

Later, they were walking in the dojo.

"Thanks again, guys. I know you were embarrassed by those costumes. But don't worry, you'll never have to wear them again. And no one at school will ever have to know."

"You're right, Milton, they don't, But they will." Jack smiled at Milton, as Bella smiled at this.

The next day everyone was dressed in their fairy tale costumes at school in hallways.
