Rean, Levi, Ash, Altina, Elise, Elliot, Annette, Jusis, Millium, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Diluc, Edelgard, Hubert, Monica. Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Ragna, Noel Vermillion, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Kanji, Crow, Morgan, Emblem Levi, Emblem Micaiah, Emblem Sigurd, Emblem Hector, and Emblem Elliot all gather in the formal office of Osborne with Representative Regnitz present.
"Thank you for giving so much of your time." Carl nodded his head, showing appreciation. "I appreciate you helping us attend to the aftermath of recent events."
"Of course. We couldn't turn a blind eye after seeing it for ourselves." Rean replied
"We feel investigating the coup d'etat further is our responsibility as much as anyone's." Altina agreed.
"We rounded up most of the traitors in the city. I assume they will be punished for treacherous action, Representative?" Diluc asked.
"For them to cross this level... I'm afraid I will discuss with His Majesty on what to do with them. But there's likely that they'll be given the life imprisonment that would endanger civilians and threaten the Imperial Family." Carl replied. "And with Princess Alfin, Emblem Olivert and Elise's assistance, we were able to look into suspicious relatives of fellow students as well. There are some suspects still at large, but it's only a matter of time before they're in custody."
"I'm pleased I was able to help." Alfin smiled
"Our classmates seemed genuinely shocked to learn what their relatives were up to." Elise sighed
"I cannot blame them." Emblem Olivert fold his arm.
"You'd think they could hold off on the crazy things in Crossbell calmed down... Or the timing's on point since the EDF's showed up here, too." Crow said.
"Yeah. To think those scumbags are link too." Ragna muttered.
"I'd been aware that some in the army were opposed to the ceasefire and subsequent downsizing of the military... but it's frustrating to not have seen the extend of their opposition coming until after they'd made their move." Carl muttered
"Please, you mustn't blame yourself, Representative." Edelgard said. "What matters now is we managed to quell the rebels because they cause any more harm. I would call that a victory."
"Agree. But this is also an opportunity to find the other rebels and collaborate and take them down before they will act." Monica pointed out
"With many are in custody, the capital in Heimdallr will remain for the time being." Hubert said.
"Plus the information we got will make it easier for Dad and General Vaandyck to take action." Elliot added.
"We each have our burdens to bear here, so it's best to focus on what you can do as the current head of our nation. I'm sure Machias is also doing what he can in Crossbell." Jusis said with comfort.
"Indeed. You've hit the nail on the head." Carl smiled "I don't have time to dwell on past mistakes or what I should have done with Crossbell as it is and the prince and lady still missing."
"Right. That should be able to take of the Coup D'etat problem. But now we should talk about the other issue." Annette told everyone.
"Right. Rufus." Sora nodded his head. "But how can he be here in the capital and not in Crossbell right about now?"
"Hmm..." Goofy tap his head as he thinks. "Do you think he can use teleportation magic?"
"If he does know some teleportation magic, then it would make sense how he can appear in the capital." Donald agreed.
"I... err... apologise Mr. Donald but can you repeat that?" Carl asked, scratching his head sheepishly.
"Aww phooney..."
"He said that it's possible that Rufus could have use magic to teleport from Crossbell to Heimdallr." Goofy explain.
"I can attest to that. Teleportation magic is part of spatial magic where one can manipulate space. In order to use teleportation, one needs to set the coordinates as Space magic provides you a "map" of your chosen destination." Morgan nodded. "However... We didn't see Rufus casting spacial magic. It's possible he could have use Neve's magic, knowing how powerful and well-versed his skills are in both combat and magical."
"True. But they've use the airship, right?" Noel Vermillion asked. "Why used that if they can just teleport themselves out?"
"It's possible that there is something we're not seeing." Lucy pointed out. "Or that we're thinking too much on the situation."
"Right. Rufus is cunning as a fox. So he has some other methods or explaining. Like those EDF guys who managed to get away. They used magic crystals to escape, right?" Happy asked
"Oh yeah, but how did they get their hands on those crystals?" Natsu wondered.
"There are many questions that Rufus, Xehanort, and the EDF." Emblem Micaiah pointed out. "For example, their supplies. And how well-connected they are behind the scenes. And what their next plan is."
"Right. I get this feeling what happened in the capital is part of some grand scheme. Overthrowing the government and attacking the royal family is considered a capital offense. What's more, is the society also involved with this?"
"Like that Gospel R that trash officer uses to cancel all orbments. They even manage to create an anti-magic field too. This Gospel R is created by the society. Could what happened in Crosbell also involve Ouroboros too?"
"Those are all good questions." Millium nodded. "Which is why I asked Claire to look into something about Rufus and if there was anyone in the society invol—"
The TV monitor lit up and Claire appeared on screen.
"My apology for the delay." Claire announced.
"Just the gal we need! What's the word, Claire?" Millium asked
"Well, it took longer than I'd hoped, but this information came directly from our sentries near the border. They confirmed that Crossbell's new co-supreme leaders never left the state while C was activated."
"What?" Ragna eye widen.
"Then he wasn't lying." Elliot closes his eyes
"Then that means we're dealing with two Rufuses." Levi fold his arms.
"There are two Rufuses?!" Sora asked in shock
"How is that possible?" Elise asked
"It isn't. It's preposterous, even— or so I would say had we not seen him in the flesh." Jusis muttered
"He played us enough to be the real thing." Ash muttered.
"He sure did." Elliot rub his chin. "First, he calls himself 'C' and sets things up so we'd make our way to the capital... then he gets us to takes care of what coup for him while he gets away with whatever info the EDF provided him."
"Using every means at his disposal has always been his way... and this was no exception." Jusis muttered.
"Then that means that the "Rufus" in Crossbell is an imposter." Hubert rub his chin.
"The evidence seems to point that way at present." Claire nodded. "Perhaps it is also... my hope that it points that way."
"I doubt it, since I'm inclined to agree. Rufus acting the way the supreme leader does after what he went through doesn't make as much sense to me. You had to have had an effect on him in some way at the Empyreal Fortress, Jusis." Rean replied.
"I... Would like to believe that as well." Jusis trailed off.
"I'm sure you did, Jusis. If he didn't, then..." Ragna sighed. "Still, why is Neve with Rufus? And what about those brats with them?"
"We're still looking into them, I'm afraid." Claire answered
"I know our side acn't talk, but they were strong as hell for being kids." Ash comment.
"All I can confirm from my end is that no record of them exists in the Intelligence Division's database." Altina said.
"Too underground for even the ID to pin down means it'll be extra tough for us." Millium sighed
"It's best to assume they and whoever was controlling the airship are hired help." Crow suggested.
"We won't be getting anywhere wondering what he's up to here. I propose we move on using the one lead he provided." Jusis told them.
"Right." Levi nodded. "The clues about the Courageous II disappearance in Nord Highlands."
"Do you feel you can trust his word enough to warrant going to the highlands, Rean?" Carl asked
"If anything else, I did get the impression that he is actively against the co-supreme leaders. There's likely some ulterior motive behind telling us that lead... but Jusis is right that we should use it—especially if there's any chance we can help Crossbell in the progress."
"I'll respect your decision, of course, but..." Elise trailed off.
"Some of us will have to remain in the capital." Jusis pointed out. "The aftermath of the coup d'etat requires some attention before it can be considered resolved."
"I'll stick around for it. May as well see it through." Ash said "It'd be good to hit up the Entertainment District and the Bracer Guild for info while I'm here, too."
"Gaius is in the middle of an investigation of his own in Nord, I think." Elliot said. "There should be enough people if you meet up with him and anyone else who's up east."
"I'll accompany Rean as we go to the highlands." Levi place his hand over his chest. "Nord Highland is a special place to me. And if there are some clues there that can help find the Courageous, as well as Prince Olivert and his wife, then I'll join."
"Thank you, Levi." Rean smiled.
"Still, would that be enough under our circumstance?" Altina asked
"No. I think it's best to call our other friends who are available." Levi answered. "I'll go start making contacts."
"Then can we also join you?" A voice asked as they all turn to door and see Mueller and Kurt approaching with Furret and Empoleon.
"Kurt! And..." Rean blinked.
"Hello there again." Kurt smiled. "Sounds like youv'e been making some headway into the investigation."
"About your lead..." Mueller spoked. "Since our father is still occupied in the west, we will be accompanying you in his stead. May we Vanders be of great service."

(Trails of Cold Steel III ost - Radiant Heimdallr)
In the train station of Heimdallr, there waiting to the train leading to Nord were Rean, Levi, Mussr, Alfin, Kurt, Mueller, Emblem Micaiah, Emblem Levi, Emblem Sigurd, and Elise.
"We are going to be transferring onto the RMP train partway through the trip." Mueller said. "We should hopefully reach Zender Gate around noon."
"That'll be great. Then we can start our investigation right away." Rean smiled. "But we're still waiting for our other friends. Hopefully, they'll arrived soon."
"And we're-a-glad we made it in time!" A voice said as they turn and see approaching is Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Riku, Ventus, Namine, Yu, Gray, Juvia, Dimitri, Brianna, Byleth, Yuri, Shigure, Azura, Kazuha, Roy (Fire Emblem)
"Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Riku, Ventus, Namine." Rean smiled. "Yu, Gray, Juvia, Dimitri, Brianna, Your Majesty, Your Excellency, Your Highnesses, Kazuha, and Roy too."
Byleth's casual outfit is a Black jacket, underneath is a Gray T-Shirt. He wears black jeans and black boots.
Yuri's outfit is he wears a black jacket, underneath is a purple shirt, underneath it is a white shirt. He wears black jeans and brown boots.
Dimitri's casual outfit is blue dress shirt. He wears dark gray jeans and brown boots.
Brianna's casual outfit is she wears a white T-Shirt, and a blue skirt. She wears long black socks to reach her thighs and wear white shoes.
Shigure's casual outfit is he wears a white Jacket, underneath is a blue shirt underneath a white shirt. He wears gray tights with white boots similar to his Sky Knight boots.
Azura's casual outfit is her she continue to wear her veil, but she wears a white and blue mixture V-neck shirt with white sleeves that matches her songstress attire. She wears a high low dress where its mixture of white and blue. Her left leg has a white sock with a gold strap around it. She wears white sandles.
"Haha. Please, Rean. We're friends here. There's no need to be formal with me, just because I'm king." Byleth smiled. "Also, you might not want to call me that in public."
"Oh, right. I'm sorry about that Byleth." Rean scratch his hair sheepishly. "Still it's good to see you guys. Especially you, Prince Sigure. Queen Azura."
"We're glad to come as well." Azura smiled. "
"It's been quite some time since last saw each other. It is kinda a shame we haven't done much hanging out to among your close friends, but I'm glad I can be of some help." Sigure smiled.
"I'm... sorry to hear that." Rean said
"I'm merely jest Rean. Still, I want to owe you my gratitude for finding my father. I owe you all a debt of gratitude."
"The same. And we're glad to be here to assist." Azure nodded.
"I'm also glad to be here as well." Kazuha nodded. "I've been into the Nord Highland a couple of times with my horse. It'll be good to visit there again."
"With your senses of nature, there's no doubt you'll be a great help." Levi smiled
"I couldn't agree more~" Musse giggled.
"It's nice to see you guys again." Yu smiled. "I'm glad that I can also join on the investigation. Especually with things with Crossbell. I do hope Kanji, Yosuke and Chie are okay."
"They're in Crossbell?" Kurt asked
"Yeah. For a nice tour. But when the occupation happened, I haven't heard from them since." Yu answered.
"Natsu and Lucy told us what happened in the capital." Gray said. "You guys had it rough."
"But we'll be sure to give it our all with everyone else!" Juvia said with determination as she fist pump. 'That and I heard in the Nord Highland that we'll be riding horses. Ooh the thought of Gray riding one is going to make me feel like a princess in a fairy tale~'
"Sora and the others told us too. We'll be glad to help out any way we can." Riku nodded.
"Right. Like all of us, we're here to help out the situation with Crossbell but also the investigation in finding Prince Olivert and Lady Scherazard." Namine smiled.
"And hoping Terra is okay too." Ventus added.
"Right." Roy (Fire Emblem) "I heard that Lyn was also in the Nord Highland. Maybe she's with Gaius right now with the investigation."
"Lyn's there too? That will be a great help." Rean smiled. "And thank you all for coming to join us in the investigation." He turn to Alfin, Elise and Altina. "And thank you both for coming to see us off."
"I apologize for showing up so suddenly and creating all this disarray." Kurt apologized.
"Not at all. I was glad to have the opportunity to see you again." Alfin said, putting up a smile. "I'm sure my brother's disappearance must be weighting heavy on your heart, too Lieutenant Colonel. And with Lady Scherzard also weight on your mind, Furret."
"Furret..." Furret responds with a sad look.
"My worries pale in comparison to the heartache you must feel, Your Highness." Mueller place his hand over hic chest. "Rest assured that I will do all I can to put you at ease as soon as possible."
"Furret! Furr furr!" Furret agreed.
"Thank you, Lieutenant Colonel. Thank you, Furret." Alfin smiled then turn to Musse. "I'm counting on you, too, Musse."
"Of course, I will help take good care of our dear instructor in your and Elise's stead." Musse smiled.
"Then we'll be counting on you." Elise smiled before turning to Rean with a concern look.
Rean tilt his head. "What's wrong? Our group is pretty stacked for this, so I don't think you need to worry."
"I am worried... but not about that." Elise muttered.
"We all refrained from voicing our concerns yesterday... but you're not going to take on too much to compensate for wha those soldiers said, are you? The ones from the underground."
Rean close his eyes, recalling the rebel soldiers words.
"It's true, their words did affect me. They reminded me that for some, the war never really ended." He muttered
"We heard from Edelgard and the others about that..." Byleth giving a solemn look. "Don't take their words personally, Rean. I can understand that many soldiers and people are not happy with the ceasefire. And they think that Erebonia should reign supreme to all nations in this world. Many soldiers may have died and even left behind in that horrible war. Even though Ishmelga and his curse are to blame for corrupting the people to lead them to that dark road. They made their choice. You did what you could to save many innocent lives including their soldiers. Those soldiers have no right to complain to you or hold you responsible for trying to save this world from death and ruin. The soldiers don't realize that even if they succeed in conquering the world. It will be a hollow victory. Because it has no honor, just death and despair. I'm sure your father would agree."
"Byleth..."
"He's right, Rean." Levi take Rean's hand. "Those soldiers are lost causes. And personally, they will pay for what they said to you. It will take time for them to understand what they done was wrong. Time will heal all wounds. Including yours. Just see them as the exception as they are."
"I know." Rean nodded his head with a warm smile before close his eyes. "But it's also not something I can turn a blind eye to. It's only by understanding one another that we will be able to move forward."
"Good. None of us want that to consume you."
"Agreed." Emblem Levi agreed.
"Everyone in the Imperial Army bears that responsibility, myself included." Mueller said
"None of us here want you to shoulder that burden alone." Kurt place his hand over his chest. "Isn't that right, everyone?"
"Oh yeah." Luigi nodded.
"Yoshi." Yoshi nodded his head.
"Class VII will always be about supporting one another." Altina agreed.
"And your friends here will also share that burden too." Kazuha agreed.
"I think they've echoed my sentiments." Elise said "Well, then, have a safe journey. If there are answers to be found in Nord, then I know you'll find them."
Rean smiled "Thanks. Keep us in your thoughts."
"Oh, that reminds me." Alfin pull off her Emblem Ring. "Kurt. Please take Emblem Brother with you." She approached and handed him the Ring of the Crimson Prince to him."
"Are you sure, Your Highness?" Kurt asked.
"Yes. I know that my brother can help you search for his real self."
"I understand. I'll make sure nothing happens to his ring." Kurt then put it on and Emblem Olivert appeared by his side.
"I'll be right with you, Kurt. Mueller." Emblem Olivert smiled
"Oh, Rean. You should also take Micaiah with you." Elise remove her Emblem Ring and hand it over to Rean.
"Got it." Rean nodded.
"Speaking of Emblem Ring. I have Corrin's ring with me." Azura said. "Corrin."
Emblem Corrin appeared. "I'm here."
"All right, let's go everyone." Levi said as everyone nodded their heads as Rean, Levi, Kurt, Musse, Riku, Ventus, Namine, Yu, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Gray, Juvia, Dimitri, Brianna, Byleth, Yuri, Shigure, Azura, Kazuha, Roy (Fire Emblem) Emblem Levi, Emblem Sigurd, Emblem Micaiah, Emblem Olivert, and Emblem Corrin headed inside the train.
Once everyone is in, they begin to take off.

Everyone exit the train.
"There you are." A voice said as Sara was there along with Emma and Emblem Vita.
"I hope the trip wasn't too tiring." Emma smiled
"And here I thought we'd be getting here first." Rean smiled.
"We just happened to be on the train right before yours." Emblem Vita replied.
"I'm glad that you all arrived safely. That's quite the large number of friends gathered." Sara smild. "And long time no see, Lieutenant Colonel."
"Lisewise. It's reassuring to have you with us." Mueller smiled.
"We heard about the attempted coup from Major Reiveldt. It must have been so hard for you, Rean." Emma sadden
"You're kind to worry, but I'm fine. Byleth and everyone else beat you to it. But I'm very happy to see you're both here. All I have to do is see your face, and it's like my heart feels a little lighter."
"Oh?" Emblem Vita let out a grin.
Emma giggled. "Then it was worth it, huh? But there's no river I wouldn't cross to find you if you needed me. Though magic makes it simple enough to skip the river-crossing route if there was an emergency. So don't you forget that all you have to do is call, and I'll be there."
"Thanks. I won't" Rean smiled
Emblem Vita giggled.
"Is something funny, Vita?" Emma asked
"Oh, just wondering how Levi has to put up with his boyfriend just flirted with you right in front of everyone here. It's like he has no shame." Emblem Vita grinned.
"What? N-No! It's not like that!" Rean exclaimed. "I just express how happy I am to see Emma and Insutrcutor Sara is here!"
"And yet you don't realize how well putted you said those words. It makes any girl or guy have their hearts fluttered. I kinda feel bad for you, Levi."
"You'll get used to it." Levi sighed. "I can understand how Asune feels with Kirito, though. Anyway, joking aside, it's good to see you ladies here."
"And we're glad to be here." Sara smiled. "But boy, I'm still finding it hard to believe we have two Rufuses running around now. I'll cross my fingers the lead from the literal lesser of two evils pays off, but we still need to be smart about our approach."
"Agreed. There's no telling what could happen." Mueller nodded. "That's all the more reason why we appreciate your and Lady Mildine's attention to this matter."
"Oh, I'm more than happy to give it." Musse giggled.
"That reminds me. Where's Gaius and Lyn?" Yuri asked
"They've gotten a head start investigating in the highlands, I believe." Emma answered. "A soldier gave us a message saying he intends to convene with us at the settlement."
"I see. Then we'll head his way once we've greeted the person in charge here." Rean nodded.
"I believe he's someone you know?" Kurt asked
"Colonel Dalton of the 23rd Armored Division, yes." Mueller answered. "I haven't seen him since his division took stewardship of the gate after the war."
"Oh, right. It was the 7th that was in charge of Zender up until last year." Sara hummed. "The 23rd was one of the new division created for the war, wasn't it?"
"Indeed. With all the changes underway in the army, the 23rd has no general at present... but I hear the colonel's done a stellar job of keeping the division unified in the absence of one."
"He sounds like someone who'd more than cooperate with our investigation, at least." Rean said
"I've already informed him of our arrival. We should go and see him right away." Mueller said as take off.
"Listen, Rean." Sara spoked to him. "Don't go bitting off more than you can chew. Being an instructor doesn't mean you have to be the strong one in the group twenty-four seven. I didn't have to be because you were there for me, so that means you don't have to be 'cause I'll be there for you. Least I'll try to be."
Rean blinked and then chuckled. "You just get it, don't you?" He smiled. "Thank you. That makes me feel a lot better."
"Good."
They soon reach the commander center and see Colonel Dalton.
"Welcome to Zender Gate. I've been looking forward to your arrival. I am Dalton, acting commander of the 23rd Armored Division." He said
"Greeting Colonel." Emblem Olivert greeted.
Dalton eye widen in horror as he had an !? over his head. "Y-You're Highness?! H-How—"
"Haha. At least Colonel. It look like you've seen a ghost."
"That's because you are one." Mueller palm face. "Apologize Colonel. But this is Emblem Prince Olivert. I'm sure you heard about the Emblems?"
"N-No... This is the first time I've seen one..." Dalton said, sweating and nervous.
'Hm?' Levi thought.
"Grrr..." Yoshi low growl, staring at Dalton.
"Yoshi?" Mario asked
"But at any rate." Mueller saluted. "It's good to see you again, Colonel."
"The same to you, Lieutenant Colonel." Dalton said as he wipe his sweat. "And it is an honor to finally meet the famous Ashen Chevalier. I have heard much about the lieutenant colonel's younger brother, too. I wish I could give you all a more formal reception."
Rean place his hand over his chin. "Please think nothing of it, sir. Most of us aren't even part of the army, much less deserving of a lavish welcome."
"I quite agree— and I'm just an inexperienced student." Kurt agreed.
"Haha. How modest of you all! I appreciate that."
'He's surprisingly candid for a colonel.' Brianna whispered
'He is—although I'm sure he must be very capable to have been given command of a whole armored division.' Musse replied
'Indeed. It is not easy to command a division.' Dimitri replied
"Word of the 7th's exploits since the war has reached even here, Lieutenant Colonel. I hear you have been all over the country helping with the reconstruction efforts under Prince Olivert's leadership. What's more, the Vanders have evidently resumed their duy as guardians of the Imperial Family. They don't call you the ace of the 7th for nothing!" He said until he realized what he said. "Ah—I apologize if that sounded at all sarcastic. I did not mean it so."
"Think nothing of it, sir. I will not attempt to deny my past failings." Mueller said. "Still, I am humbled by the honor of serving once more. On the Vander name, I will stop at nothing to prove worthy of it."
"I feel the same way." Kurt agreed.
"May I ask you something colonel?" Byleth asked. "Can you tell us what you know about the situation here in the highlands?"
"Ah, yes. You came looking for clues on the prince's whereabouts." Dalton hummed. "I'm aware that you have reason to believe there is something here—"
"So it's true?!" Rean asked in surprise.
"The opposite, I'm afraid. This region has been positively idyllic since the war ended. The highlands did turn into a battleground during the conflict, but everything is back to normal here now. I was honestly caught off guard by your conviction that something must be here."
'Hmm...' Yuri thought.
"That's unfortunate." Kurt muttered.
Sara sighed "Still, the intel's fresh, even to us. It's no surprise that nothing's been found yet."
"Indeed. I've had a lot of work at the watchtower, so haven't had much time to investigate in this area. In that sense, you might have more luck speaking with the people from the settlement."
"Yeah. Sounds like Gaius and Lyn is already there, so I'd say meeting with him would be our first goal." Levi agreed.
"Given the stakes, we intend to fully deciate ourselves to searching once we have finished getting ready." Dalton said. "I've apprised the soldiers stationed at the watch of what is going on, too, so it may be worth stopping by there. Either way, should you learn anything, please do let me know. I will be happy to send reinforcements if needed."
"Thank you for your kindness and understanding, sir. We greatly appreciate it." Mueller nodded
"All right!" Roy (Fire Emblem fist pump) "Let's get started with the search, then!"
"The highland is a massive grassland. We will have to travel there on horseback." Kazuha said.
"Indeed. I am rather surprised by the large group. But we do have enough horses for you all to ride on through the highlands." Dalton nodded. "I'll bring the horses out."
"Oh, there's no need to bring me a horse, Colonel." Sigure said. "I already brought my steed with me."
"Oh, is that so? Very well. Given many of you are... I'll bring them right away. Please, make your way to the highland entrance."
"Right. Follow me everyone." Rean said as they take off.

They all soon arrived at the highlands entrance, and from there, they saw a beautiful plain field of grass as far as the eyes could see.
"Whoa... Look at this place!" Roy (Fire Emblem) gasped.
"So this is the Nord Highland..." Yu said in awe.
"It's... breaktaking." Kurt said in awe.
"Nothing I've heard could have prepared me for just how truly beautiful it is..."
"It truly is..." Byleth smiled.
"This is the first time for most of you, right?" Levi smiled
"It is." Musse smiled. "I've been really looking forward to it. If only the other four could be here to see it. Words don't do it justice."
Rean smiled. "They really don't. I wish I could've let you first see it under lighter circumstances."
Emma giggled. "It feels like only yesterday that we came here as part of our field study."
"This is where Dreichel the Lionheart came here by Aether's recommendation." Emblem Vita nodded. "And through Dreichel's charisma, he got along with just about everyone. Making him part of the family."
"It's moving to think that this is where our ancestor took up arms to fight at Dreichel's side." Kurt smiled
"It's held a special place in my heart beyond our ancestry since our uncle and I were stationed here." Mueller said as he approached and then climbed up the black horse as Furret hopped on behind. "Regardless, Furrent and I will make for the watchtower and set about gathering information there. You should stick to your original plan and reunite with Gaius and Lyn at the settlement."
"I'm all right with that, but..." Rean trailed off.
"Are you sure it's wise for you and Furret to go alone?" Kurt asked "I think it'd be better if I came with you."
Mueller light chuckled. "I know how capable you are, Kurt, but there's no need to worry about me. As a soldier, I'll have a much easier time operating in the military facility. Besides, I have Furret with me. Scherizard trained him well during her time as a Bracer. Should anything happen, however, I will be in touch. Take care." He look ahead. "Furret. Hold on tight."
"Furret!" Furret nodded and wrapped around Muller.
"Hiyah!" He yelled as he flipped the rein, causing the horse to move and gallop away.
"You think he's going to be okay?" Emblem Levi asked
"I hope so..." Kurt said solemnly.
"Oh, Mueller. The disappearance of the real me disappearance weight heavily on him." Emblem Olivert sighed.
"Levi and I had the chance to briefly speak with him about that on the train, actually." Rean replied.
'I wanted to accompany them on their honeymoon, but Olivier insisted I not go. I get the impression he wanted to give me some time off to honor the war's end. Of all the times that idiot had to go and put my needs first..." Mueller's voice echoes in Rean and Levi's heads.
"I see..." Kurt muttered.
"I'm sure that not even Prince Oliver thought something like this would happen in this era of peace... but..." Levi sighed.
"I think you're all worrying a little too much about him." Sara said. "We're talking about one of the finest soldiers in the Imperial Army—up there with Lieutenant Colonel Neithardt. You should know better than anyone that he isn't the kind of man to act rashly in times like this."
"Yes, I... suppose you're right." Kurt nodded. "I'm sure he genuinely believes this to be the best course of action." He turns to everyone. "We'd be wise to mirror his conviction."
"Yeah. Let's get moving." Rean nodded.
"All right, here are the horses." Dalton said as he and a couple of soldiers brought out fourteen horses.
"Thank you Colonel." Rean smiled
"My pleasure."
Sigure pull out a while that made a gentle whisper and then a portal appeared and flew in was Shigure's Pegasus. He climbs up his pegasus and then soon his mother. Rean climbed up the brown horse with Musse behind him, Levi climbed up the Black horse, Kurt climbed up the light brown horse, Sara climbed up the white horse with Emma behind her, Riku climbed up the black horse, Ventus climbed up the brown horse with Namine behind him, Gray climb up the light brown horse, Dimitri climb up the brown horse with Brianna climb behind him. Yu climbs up the light brown horse, Byleth climbs up the brought horse, Yuri climbs up the white horse, Kazuha climbs up the Black horse and Roy climbs up the brown horse. Mario and Luigi hop on Yoshi's back.
"All right, that should be everyone." Rean said. "Oh, we should have our Pokemon who can fly join us."
"Good idea." Levi nodded as he, Rean, Musse, and Sara pulled out their Pokeballs and called out Charizard, Flygon, Swoobat, and Gliscor as they cried.
"Okay, everyone, we're going to need you to fly in the sky while we ride on land, okay?" Musse smiled as they nodded.
"The settlement is located in the same place as we were last time we were here, right, Rean?" Levi asked.
Rean nodded. "Yeah, if we travel north from here, we should see it before long."
"I'm new to riding horses but... I'll give it a shot. It is no different to riding an Orbal Bike." Ventus said.
"Here's hoping you do well..." Namine nervous smile.
"All right, let's ride everyone!" Roy smirked. "Let's not keep Gaius and Lyn waiting!"
They all got their horses canter and ride onto the highlands while Mario and Luigi follow them through Yoshi.
As Dalton waved goodbye at them, he turned around, wiping his forehead. "Phew... That was too close for comfort..." He grit his teeth. "I didn't expect that the prince has an Emblem. I almost give away."
"Indeed you did." A voice said.
"Augh!" Dalton gasped as he turned around and seeing a figure in the black coat. "O-Oh, it's you, sir! You took me by surprise!" 'How does he do that?!'
"Hehehe." The Figure turns and sees Rean and his group riding the horses. "So they're here to the Highlands now. They must be here for you know who."
"Ngh... I didn't expect that our allies in the capital would give that information away..."
"Worry not." The figure said. "So long as they don't reach the top of the Tower, everything will be fine. Just make sure you and your soldiers be careful what you say next time."
"Y-Yes. Of course sir..." Dalton nodded with a salute.
With Rean and the others...
"Whoooooa!" Namine gasped as they ride the highland.
"Amazing!" Kurt said in awe. "And here I thought the Mushroom Kingdom has plains so vast!"
"And just like the Mushroom Plains and others among its continent, words can't do justice to its beauty." Musse smiled, warmly.
Rean chuckled. "We had the same reaction as students."
"The highland is just as clean, breathtaking as far as the eyes can see." Levi smiled.
"Mama mia. It truly is so beautiful. Which plains do you think is beautiful?" Luigi asked.
"Hard to say Bro. Everywhere we go is about to have beauty." Mario replied.
"Mmm! Yoshi!" Yoshi nodded in agreement.
"Man, I wish Aqua, Terra and the others could have seen this beautiful sea of green. It's beautiful enough to live and sleep peacefully." Ventus smiled.
"Indeed. I couldn't help but be astounded by this rich greenery. Enough that I want to paint its majesty." Sigure smiled.
"Hehe. Oh, this would be a wonderful idea for a family trip." Azura agreed.
"Yes. Edelgard love this scenery. Perhaps we should invite her to visit, Nord." Byleth smiled.
"Or us as a little honeymoon trip again. But this would be a lovely gathering." Yuri smiled.
"Indeed. I can imagine living in this beautiful era in tranquility." Dimitri smiled.
"Yeah. Especially when it comes as family." Brianna agreed.
"Seeing the plains reminded me so much of the plains back in my world." Roy (Fire Emblem) smiled as he cover his forehead. "Lyn always walk about visiting Gaius's home. I bet she's nostalgic from visiting."
"The plains is always my favorite thing in the world." Kazuha smiled as he sniffed the air and breath out. "Just as clean and pure as ever. Where I often give some thoughts to a Haku, and my horse can run forever."
"Yeah. Seeing this place just wanted make me want to protest this beautiful land. Espeucally keep it away from Natsu." Gray smiled
"Oh yes." Juvia agreed. "Just riding on horseback in this lovely land. It makes a person feel like they should leave the city life and live here." 'And just thinking that Gray and I riding on horseback to this place. It truly is a dream come true!'
"I like the highland even more now that there aren'y as many monsters as before." Emma smiled
"Yeah." Sara nodded in agreement. "The Armored division's done a bang-up job keeping the highlands clean. Now we can ride straight through!"
"Yeah, no kidding." Yu smiled and then saw Charizard, Swoobat, Flygon, and Sclicor having their conversation with smile faces. "Even the Pokemon are loving this land of Nord. I can't wait to show everyone here... if they know some horseback riding like I do."
"Yeah. Kinda reminds me of our time in Hyrule, right Class VII?" Riku asked
"Yeah. If it weren't affected by Glooms and monsters, we would have ride freely without a care in the world." Rean smiled.
"That reminds me. Has Lyn been here before in the highlands, Roy?" Emblem Micaiah asked.
"I believe so. She remembers having a conversation with Gaius... Which..." Roy closes his eyes as he wanders but opens them. "I think it was two years ago."
"So Lyn already visited the Highland then." Emblem Corrin smiled.
"Well, not that I can blame her. Oh, if only our Emblem Lyn can join in the sights." Emblem Micaiah smiled.
"Yeah. I can imagine my Father riding in the highlands with me too. Maybe I should ask him for some Father and Son ride on our horses."
"What about you, Vita? You have been to the highlands before?" Emma asked.
"I've been here a few times, yes. Of course, I did feel bad that the highland was involved with the noble alliance and Blueblanc ways with beauty." Emblem Vita replied.
"Oh yeah, that guy is pretty much everything wrong in his hand. Still, it's nice that he helped us out during the Great Twilight." Levi replied.
"Hey look." Riku pointed as they see wild Ponytas and Rapidash galloping in the highlands while Doduo and Dodtrio running freely, Hopplins, minding their own business, Butterfrees flying around.
"Oh, so many pokemon are here!" Kurt smiled.
"Look at them all happily. Especially the Ponyta and Rapidashes." Musse smiled.
"All the horses in Erebonia are from Nord, right?" Dimitri asked
"Yeah. Many of the horses were breed here in Nord. The Nomads of Nord are really good at taking care of horses." Rean answered.
"Haha. You know, I wouldn't mind living here. Of course, if that's all right with you, Brianna."
"Of course it's fine. I wouldn't mind our child to live here with the Nomads. I bet it will be fun." Brianna smiled. "But of course, is that all right with you? You're not used to this sort of thing, right?"
"Hahaha. You're thinking about my old life as a prince to king. But we're in a new era now. And I'm glad to live and see through it with all my friends by my side. Including my beloved wife. I would love nothing more for the two of us to live in tranquility, just like this land of Nord. Living together... with our child."
"Oh, Dimitri." Brianna smiled as she blushed.
"Oh my~ Is it me or has it got smoking up in here?" Musse let out a teasing yet devilish grin.
"Oh, Musse~" Emblem Vita giggled.
'Hmm...' Rean thought as he rides as he imagined him and Levi riding in Nord. 'You know...' He smiled. 'This may be the best place to...'
Musse then look to her right and see the watchtower. "That structure to the right is the watchtower monitoring Calvard, yes?"
"Yep. And the plateau on the left has got what they call the stone circle." Sara answered.
"It's thought to be an old monument from when animism dominated the region." Emma replied.
"Really? That's quite interesting." Riku mused
"We're almost at the settlement." Rean said as he take a breath in and breath out. "Ahhh... It feels so great here."
"It makes me wish we could keep riding on through forever." Jurt smiled.
"It's a shame we'll have to dismount soon." Musse sighed.
Emma giggled. "It's so nice to see you're both already as much in love with this place as we are."
"Yeah. If only the campus has a large field of grass where we can ride the horses with..." Levi smiled.
"Yeah." Dimitri smiled.
Byleth chuckled. "I just have an idea on the new installment to the Officer's Academy."

(Trails into Reverie ost - A Moment of Warmth)
They soon reach the settlement. They all slow down their horses as Ventus have a little trouble but he got the idea on how.
"Ah, we made it to the settlement." Kazuha smiled.
"Hm?" Luigi tilt his head. "Is it me or are there... fewer people here?"
"Not just that..." Levi look around the area.
"This is my first time seeing yurts." Kurt said
"Normally, there would be more of them. I wonder what's going on."
A Young man and a young girl both turn their heads as they see the group.
"Hmm? Already?" She asked
"Whoa, there's Class VII!" The young man said as they take off to greet. "It's so good to see you all again! How have you been?"
"Oh... umm..." Rean trailed off.
"You know him?" Mario asked.
"I... can't say I do."
"Yeah, I'm drawing a blank either." Levi admit.
"Come on! That's not very funny." The young man scratch his cheek with a smile. "I know it's been a while, but I knew you from a glance."
"Wait... Oh!" Levi gasped. "If it isn't Thoma! Wow, you really change. We hardly recognized you."
"Did you meet during your field study?" Kurt asked.
Rean nodded. "Yeah. Gaius' family as a whole has been very welcoming whenever we've come to Nord. It's kind of funny to say, but you're getting to be around the age we were on our first visit, huh?"
Thoma nodded his head. "Yeah. That sounds about right—but you really DIDN'T recognize me, then? I gotta say, that stings a little..."
"Sorry. But you honestly do look so much mature than when we last met." Rean smiled and turn to the girl next to him. "You must be Sharl, then? You've grown up a lot yourself."
Sharl giggled. "You think? Thank you!"
"Gaius had mentioned you were coming, but I didn't expect you to arrive so soon after he said it." Thoma smiled. "Speaking of which, he and miss Lyn should be coming back soon."
"Coming back now, actually." Gaius voice said as he and Lyn approached on horseback.
"Rean, everyone! We're so glad you're here!" Lyn smiled, and Emblem Lyn appeared next to Gaius and flying down is Unfezant.
"It's so good to see you all again." Emblem Lyn smiled
"I hope you all had a pleasant journey from the capital." Gaius smiled. "Good to see the winds kept you safe."
Rean chuckled. "Right back at you."
"Hey there Lyns." Roy smiled
"I hope your investigation's been going well." Sara smiled.
"Sounds like we've arrived at a busy time." Emma replied.
Gaius shook his head. "Not at all. Most of the work for moving the settlement has been finished already. But let me make us some tea before we talk any further. You must be tired."
"Sounds like a plan! Man, my butt hurts..." Ventus said.
"You'll get used to it when your muscles keep riding." Yu said as they dismount.

One tea-making later...
"Ahhh..." Azura said in awe as she finish drinking a sip of tea. "The tea is exquisite."
"Indeed." Kurt agreed "Nord tea is as soothing as I've been told."
"It really is." Musse smiled. "Black tea is relaxing, too, but the flavor of these leaves is very distinctive."
"I'm glad you've approved." Gaius smiled.
"Haven't been able to enjoy a cup of this since your fiend study." Sara smiled
"You tried it then? I would've thought you'd been unable to since you joined near the end of our stay." Emma recalled.
"That's right. You and Sharon came by to check up on us around the same time." Rean added "It's weird, the things you forget."
"I know what you know." Kazuha smiled as he take a tip of his tea. "Ahh... I wish I could have tried some Nord Tea when I was here last."
"Well, lucky for you, we got plenty more, so please, have as much as you like." Gaius little sister Sheeda smiled
"It's too bad you weren't here yesterday to try the cheese we made. It was SO good!" Gaius's youngest sister Lily replied
"Haha. Cheese or no seese, you've given us more than enough of a welcome." Dimitri smiled.
"Yeah. Our travel fatigue is all but gone." Brianna agreed.
"It's amazing seeing how much you've grown since we saw each other. You look like you're taking after your mom, Sheeda." Rean smiled.
"Y-You really think so? Sheeda asked with a smile. "I'm happy to hear that."
"Heehee." Lily giggled. "And you look even cooler! Levi look even handsome, and Emma looks even prettier!"
"I think so, too." Gaius's Mother Fatma smiled. "Gaius has always kept us up to date on how you've been and the way you've changed. You've overcome a great many ordeals on the road to where you sit now. It makes me so proud to see the students we've hosted go on to accomplish so many great things."
"Aww, you're too kind to think of us so much." Levi smiled
"Thank you for saying so. I hope we can keep making you proud." Rean smiled
"And my pride extends to you two as 's just how mothers are." Fatmas smiled. "That includes all your friends."
"Did we ever introduce ourselves to you guys?" Sheeda asked.
"No, but I can guess that you're Gaius's family?" Sigure asked
"Wooooow. He's so pretty!" Lily eye sparkle.
"Hehe. He does take after me." Azura smiled.
"Haha. That I do." Sigure smiled. "Allow us to introduce ourselves."
One introduction later...
"My, I heard about you all from Gaius. Guess we have another pair of royalty under our roof. And many brand of heroes too. It's an honor for you all to visit Nord."
"Nord just became one of our favorite places. Because it's so beautiful, tranquility that I would love to live here with my wife." Dimitri smiled
"And that we want to protect this beautiful sea of green too." Brianna smiled
"It warms my heart to hear so many of you love our home as we do." Fatma smiled. "Oh, where are my manners. My name is Fatma. I'm Gaius's mother. Along with Sheeda and Lily."
"I'm Sheeda and this is Lily." Sheeda introduce herself with a smile.
"Nice to meet you all! Especially Yoshi! I always wanted to meet and ride a Yoshi!" Lily cheered
"Mmm~ Kukukuuul~" Yoshi cheered.
"Aw, he so cute! Oh and thanks for being bros with our bro!"
"Gaius has done so much for us. We couldn't thnk him enough." Ventus smiled.
"Yeah. I can tell Gaius's family is truly a beautiful family." Namine smiled
"I couldn't be any more grateful to have them." Gaius smiled "That extends to dad, too, even if he couldn't be here."
"I take it he's out of the settlement right now?" Rean asked
Fatma nodded. "That's right. He's leading the relocation efforts."
"We've having to move quite a distance, too, so you may not be able to see him during this visit."
"That's a shame. I was hoping to say hi." Sara sighed
(BGM paused)
"Still, if you're suddenly having to uproot yourselves and go so far... I take it something significant has happened here?" Rean asked
"Correct." Gaius muttered
(Trails into Reverie ost - Slight Suspicious)
"This happened during our visit to the Nord Highland." Lyn chin in with a concerned look. "Me and my Emblem self sense something was amiss here in Nord. This ominous feeling all of a sudden from our time here. Like the wind itself is telling us something frightening has occurred in the highland. And this was before Olivert and Scheazard had disappeared."
"Right. And after the war two years ago, I invited Lyn to visit the highlands. The Lorca Tribe are quite similar if you think about it. She became fast friends to everyone her in the settlement." Gaius smiled before turning serious. "Lyn and Emblem Lyn both gave me a call so I made my way here. When I arrived to Nord, I saw that a couple of Pokemon were... frightened by something. I know not what but whatever Lyn was feeling also was recognized by me. As me and the Lyns reunited and began to survey the highlands. I called out Unfezant, and Braviary to scout the air. It was also that moment when you called me and told me about the disappearance of Prince Olivert and the Courageous. Me, the Lyns and my Pokemon resume and added the survey. Unfortunately, we've yet to find anything that would lead us to the location of Prince Olivert, or the Courageous II."
"But we did find some unsettling signs in a few easily overlooked area. Ashes from recently burned firewood and buried remnants of travel rations, even some Pokemon paw prints. Some may even be unusual. In other words, traces of human activities. And from the looks of it, they are accompanied with their Pokemon."
"And not just one person." Gaius added. "I asked Thomas to help investigate, and we kept finding the same signs in more and more places."
"We haven't heard anything about soldiers doing training exercises in the area recently, so I doubt that's the explanation. No one in the settlement or at Zender Gate claims to have seen any potential suspects, either." Thomas chin in.
"Regardless of what we're dealing with, we can't risk any harm coming to the people here or our family." Farma added. "So after some discussion, we all decided it would be best to move the settlement earlier than usual. Sharl and her father have been helping with the move, too. We couldn't be more grateful."
"I'm so sorry all of this happened when you and your dad were meant to be on vacation." Thoma sadden.
Sharl smiled. "Please don't worry. I'm just glad to help. Dad might grumble a bit, but he's pitched in regardless."
"Either way, it's clear something is amiss here." Yuri pointed out. "Especially considering the timing."
"Agreed. This may also be related or what Rufus was referring to, but this isn't something we should ignore." Byleth agreed.
"When we came here for our field study two years ago, we found jaeger dropouts operating in the area." Emma muttered. "Perhaps this could be something similar."
"It's definitely possible. Either way, Me and the Lyns ought to look into it again as soon as you all arrived." Gaius replied
"It sounds like a very good idea." Yu said. "We should join you both with all due haste. Right, guys?"
"Yeah." Levi nodded his head in agreement. "If the highlands are threaten in any way, there's absolutely no way I will turn a blind eye."
"I quite agree." Musse agreed. "Especially after the people here have served us such wonderful tea."
"I will spear no effort for a land connected to my ancestors." Kurt replied
"Your support means the world. Truly." Fatma smiled "We aren't planning to move just yet, so you are welcome to make this your base of operation. I'll do all that I can to help you in my husband's place."
"I'd like to beleive I'm a lot stronger than I was when we last met, too." Thoma place his hand over his chest. "So if there's any way U can assist, please let me know!"
"We will." Rean smiled. "Thanks, Thoma."

(Resuming A Moment of Warmth)
"Sheeda, Lily. Be good while we're away." Gaius said.
"We will! Take care!" " Sheeda smiled
"Come back soon!" Lily nodded
"All right, let's go everyone." Gaius smiled as the party got up and then leave the tent.
"Where should we begin, then?" Kurt asked
"A good question." Kazuha rub his chin. "So it wasn't my imagination with the ill wind too."
"How about we go and speak with the settlement's other visitor?" Gaius suggest.
"There's someone else who's here? Who would that be?" Juvia asked
"Oh, someone we're familiar with." Lyn giggled.
"She's been here since after Lyn arrived and before I arrived myself." Gaius chuckled. "We haven't had much of a chance to speak with her since we've been so busy with the move and investigating."
"I wonder who could that would be." Namine wondered.
"Guess we'll find out when we'll meet her, huh?" Gray asked "So where is she?"
Gaius hummed. "Hm. Perhaps she's out at the moment? Someone in my family may know."
"Should we go and ask them, then?" Rean suggest
"Sounds like a good idea." Mario nodded.
"Then let's-a-go." Mario said as they begin moving around.
"It's been a while since I was last here. Feels so empty without all the yurts." Rean said.
"Well, once we're back to normal, you'd better pay us a visit. Your students and our other friends are welcome, too, of course." Gaius smiled
"Oh, that would be a great idea!" Levi smiled.
"I wouldn't miss a chance to come back here." Kurt smiled.
"Yo, Yo yoshi!" Yoshi nodded in agreement as they approach Thoma.
"Hey there Thoma." Gaius greeted
"Hey there Gaius!" Thoma smiled.
"What are you doing just now?"
"I was just about to go draw some water if you wanted some."
"I would, actually. Thank you." Kurt smiled. "By the way, I noticed you have something of a warrior's posture. Havr you trained in Nord spearmanship, perhaps?"
Thomas nodded. "Yeah! Gaius and our dad have actually been hammering it into me for a while. I'd still call myself a beginner, though. I'm nowhere near ready to take on large game, so I've got plenty more practicing to go if I want to keep my family safe with my Pokemons: Ponyta and Tallow." Then he notice Kurt's swords. "You use two blades to fight, don't you, Kurt? So just like your ancestor Roland Vander."
"Haha... I've got a long way to go until I'm anywhere close to being like him." Kurt said honestly. "So I'd say we've both got a lot to learn. But I remember hearing that Roland perfected the duel-blade style while dueling against the people of Nord. I'm sure I could learn a lot in a month against you. Would you be up for it?"
"Would I?!" Thoma smiled. "I'd love that!
"Great. Let's hope we'll have a chance to do just that soon, then."
'It's nice seeing them got so motivated by each other, huh?' Rean whispered as he smiled
'I'll say. Glad to see my brother's found himself a new friend, too.' Gaius agreed.
'Yeah. Hehe. I get the feeling they'll be best friends in no time.' Levi replied.
"By any chance, have you seen our visitor? You know who, right?" Gaius asked
"Oh, her?" Thoma rub his chin. "I'm afraid I don't know where she went."
"It's all right, we'll keep looking." Gaius said as they keep going until they see Sheeda mumbling to herself.
"I'm getting kind of worried... Maybe I should ask for help." She muttered
"Is something wrong, Sheeda?" Gaius asked, as Sheeda turn.
"Oh! I was just thinking of speaking to you all. Our other visitor left the settlement this morning, but she hasn't been back since."
"Gaius was just telling us about her." Rean said. "Did she go out onto the highlands?"
"Yes. She said something about wanting to take photographs before she left. She also said not to worry about her since we were all busy with the move. Even so, I'm getting anxious. I hope she isn't doing anything too dangerous."
"This situation is suddenly starting to seem all too familiar." Emme said
Rean nodded his head. "Yeah, this is the exact situation we went through with Norton from the Imperial Chronicle a few years ago."
"Hmm..." Levi rub his chin. 'So the visitor is here to take pictures? Either she's a tourist, or a reporter... Something tells me it...'
"Anyway, it sounds like we should go and check up on her."
"I assume she set off to the north?" Musse asked
"Yes, that's right. I'm not sure how far she could have gone.." Sheeda replied
"Let us ride out and look for her, then." Gaius said.
"Sounds like a—" Levi paused as he turn his back and look around with Rean, Byleth, Yuri, Lyn, Kazuha, Sara and Yoshi.
"Is something the matter, guys?" Sigure asked
"If all of us felt it..." Yuri said.
"Yeah, it felt like someone was watching us." Lyn agreed.
"But who could it be..." Emblem Lyn wondered.
"But who would want to watch... oh!" Emma look stern.
"Seems like we have some enemies here. Wanna look around?" Gray asked
"But who or what would be spying us here in the open?" Venus wondered as they all split upa and looking around but found nothing.
"Found anything?" Namine asked
"No. Nothing." Riku said.
"Hmm..." Rean rub his chin. "Something... feels off here. But it doesn't look like they're here."
"Agreed. It better be that way. Come on. Let's go." Gaius said as they all headed to the horses while Mario and Luigi hop on Yoshi's back and then they take off riding.

Once they left the settlement, nothing happened.
"Heh. I almost got caught there. Their sense are just as irritating as ever." A Woman's voice spoke as coming out of hiding from the lower part of the area is a black cloak figure. "But it seems thanks to those two snooping around, they will notice some... treason. As well as a couple of mysterious."

(Trails into Reverie ost - Those Who Lived in the Blue Earth)
"Well." Yuri smiled. "The northern part of the highlands is just as beautiful as the southern counterpart."
"But it seems its more dangerous due to the steep cliffs." Sigure said before noticing the ancient statue. "Oh! Look at that!"
"Is that... a giant statue?" Azura asked
"That's Lost Gem, the Sept-Terrion of Time." Levi said. "The other giant statue-like back in Bryonia Island."
"As some of you are aware, both have long since lost their power, leaving them as mere shells." Emma nodded.
"I had no idea when I first saw it during our field study that it had such a history." Rean said. "It's hard to believe that the Divine Knights originated from them."
"Yeah. but shall we?" Levi asked with a smile.
"I can't imagine our visitor could have gone far without a horse." Gaius said.
"I'm inclined to agree. Hopefully, this will be a quick search." Rean agreed as they start canter then galloping on the highlands while Sigure just flew with Azura and their Pokemon are flying.
"Man, riding on a Pegasus is very convenient." Levi said.
"Haha. I know, right?" Sigure chuckled. "But I don't want to leave the squad. Besides, my pegasus love flying in these lands."
"Who wouldn't want to ride on the highland. Or the Mushroom Kingdom plains?" Lyn asked.
"Haha. I couldn't help but agree." Emblem Levi chuckled as they climb up the hilltop and the steep cliffs and then eventually they found a certain reporter taking pictures of the statue.
"They don't call this one of the highlands' most famous sights for nothing. Talk about statuesque— literally!" Grace chuckled "Maybe I'll start a listicle of the Empire's best views when I get back to the office... I wonder if I should do one to the Mushroom Kingdom... if they already got good tour spots... unless..."
"Ah... I thought it was you, Grace." Levi called out as they approached.
"Oh, there you are!" Grace turned around to the group. "Whoa! A lot of people on horseback! The Famous Mario Bros and Yoshi! And is that a Pegasus!?"
"Haha. That's right." Sigure said as they all disamount.
"Wow! It's my first time actually seeing a pegasus! It's so beautiful!" Grace cheered as she takes picture. "Oh and I've gotta take pictures of the Mario Bros too!"
"Um, Grace..." Lyn called out.
"Oh, right. Sorry." Grace scratch her head sheepishly. "Anyway, I've been waiting for you all—and you, Divine Blade." She referr to Rean. "Congrats on the upgrade from Ashen Chevalier."
"I had a feeling that it was you. Other then you it would be Kylie." Levi said.
"I was just as surprised to find her in Nord, beleive me." Gaius chuckled.
"How did you managed to get into the Empire while Crossbell was occupied?" Yuri asked.
"Ahahaha... The only way I could have: I wasn't IN Crossbell when the occupation went down. Around just before the ceremony started, I got an interesting lead through the orbal net. So I left coverage of the actual signing to the others and jumped on the next train to Erebonia. Thinking on it now, I'm honestly not sure if I'd call that good or bad luck."
"I can imagine. It must have been very hard for you." Namine sadden
"It is, but I've never been one for sitting around sulking when life throws me a curveball. There's got to be a role for me to play in sorting all this out. The best thing I can do is get out there and take action! I wouldn't be much of a journalist OR a Crossbellan if I didn't!"
"That's the Grace we all know so well." Sara smiled
"Yeah. I mean, Lloyd and Randy are made of tough stuff, and then there's Grace. People from Crossbell really are built differently." Rean smiled.
"Who said it's just Crossbell though?" Ventus asked. "There are countless people who are just as tough as the people we know."
"Indeed. But what's this about the lead?" Kazuha asked.
"It's got to be something big for you to leave a historic moment like the signing ceremony for someone else to cover." Kurt asked
"Oh, it absolutely is." Grace nodded. "It was a report that Prince Oliver and his wife had gone missing during their honeymoon—the courageous II and all."

"I had a feeling it would involve that. We're actually here following the same case." Musse said.
(Trails into Reverie ost - Slight Suspicious)
"Yeah. On a tip, too, no less. I'm guessing the fact that you're here in Nord of all places means you found some clue to their whereabouts?" Rean asked
"That's right, although it's only circumstantial evidence at this point. There's a report that suspicious people clad in black were sighrd in the area where the royals went for their honeymoon. Accompany by two people cloak in black coat." Grace said.
Everyone had an ! over their heads.
"People dress in clad black..." Riku muttered.
"The Ebon Defense Force. It's gotta be them." Luigi said.
"But the people dress in black coat..." Mario rub his chin.
'People dress in black coat...' Rean thought, reminded him of Organization XIII. 'No... it can't be possible...'
"Then there's an unconfirmed report that the EDF were sighed in Nord before and after the Courageous II's disappearance. I'm here to following up on both leads." Grace told them.
"I should have guess that the terrorist group who occupied Crossbell and causing trouble in Erebonia would be here too." Yuri muttered. "Now I'm concern where else those pests would be else in the world."
"Yeah. But Gaius, Emblem Me, and I have found no evidence of them hiding here or had been in the past yesterday too." Lyn said.
"Yeah, I couldn't find anything, either. If they really were here, they're clearly good at covering their tracks." Grace muttered. "But there's no smoke without fire. There's clearly SOMETHING here in the highlands. Although I'll admit I'm basing at least part of that conviction on my reporter's instincts."
"Knowing you my dear Grace, your gut instincts is always something that is never to be ignored." Emblem Olivert smiled. "There's no doubt that the real me including the occupation are well connected. Thank you kindly for sharing that with us."
"Hey, I just wish I had some solid, conclusive evidence to give you. All I can do is wish you well with the rest of your investigation." Grace place her hand over her chest. "I'm convinced that solving this case will lead you to a way to liberate Crossbell. So get out there and give 'em hell, Class VII and friends!"
"Heh. If you're asking, who are we to refuse?" Rean smiled.
"Yeah. Specially those dirtbags have got another thing coming." Levi agreed. "We should head back to the settlement."
"Right. Grace, want to return to the settlement?"
"Well I suppose I got what I need here so okay. Lead the way heroes of the world!" Grace smirked

(Trails into Reverie ost - A Moment of Warmth)
"All right, let's discuss where to go next." Brianna said. "We check the northern part of the highland. But we haven't explored much in the south. I say we head over there."
"Agreed. The area is less likely, given that it has military facilities, but the truth can be under our noses." Byleth agreed. "We would be wise to go there."
"That reminds me, how is Kurt's big brother going on with his investigation?" Gray asked.
Now that Gray brought it up, he said he was asking around the watchtower, right?" Juvia asked
"Yeah. Maybe we should contact him and compare notes." Rean nodded, then turn to Kurt. "Could you give him a call, Kurt?"
Kurt nodded. "Of course." He pull out his ARCUS Alpha and then begin calling him. "Hm? I can't get through."
"That's strange. The satellite from Professor E. Gadd is powerful enough to send signals to the whole world."
"It's possible that he may be in a place with poor receptions." Luigi shrugged.
"Indeed. Still, there's nothing we can do at this point." Emblem Sigurd said.
"Hmm..." Emblem Olivert close his eyes.
"Is something the matter, Your Highness?" Rean asked
"I know Mueller well enough. And not responding is not like him. I think he may have got some clues... but circumstances is preventing him."
"You mean there is a good chance he may be in danger?" Emblem Micaiah asked
"It's possible. After all, I'm sure Rean and the other felt it too... about someone was watching us?" Emblem Olivert pointed out.
"True. And the only people here are Gaius's family and Sharl." Kazuha nodded. "Someone was here, but now they vanished."
"I don't sense any magic. But what was that, through?" Emma wondered.
"Whatever it is, we should focus on visiting the south and visit the watchtower." Emblem Lyn advised.
"I think you're right. Hopefully, we'll be reunited with my brother before long." Kurt put his ARCUS Alpha away. "I'd like to have a closer look at the stone circle and the triangular rock that we passed on the way here, too."
"Then let's ride, everyone." Riku said headed back to their horses and then climb back up while the Bros hop on Yoshi and headed to the south as they see Thoma and Sharl are having a conversation too themselves, but also showing signs of romance between the two.
As they headed to the south entrance to ride, suddenly heard a sound with Levi.
"Huh?" Levi blinked as they stopped.
"What's wrong, guys?" Kazuha asked as Rean pull the Black Mirror. "Oh!"
'The mirror's glowing, but... It feels like something is happening." Rean thought.
And that's the end of this chapter. Ahhhh... I always wanted to do this chapter since Nord is one of my favorite places.
