Chapter 29 Final Sin

Dante, Nero, Trish, and Lady faced the woman who claimed to be Envy.
"Envy? But I thought we took down the demon who was Envy, she got sucked into the amulet." Said Nero.
"All apart of my plan. That demon you fought had only a small percentage of my power, but it was enough to fool you and the amulet would still suck her up." Said Envy.
"So was Eliza even real?" Asked Lady.
"She was and she did make the call to the Order of the Sword, when the Sins launched their attack. I simply found her, killed her, shapeshifted, and took on her identity. The real Eliza's corpse is back at the museum in freezer." Said Envy.
"You're sick." Said Trish.
"So I guess this is the part, where you tell us your evil plan." Said Dante.
"It is. You see out of the Seven Sins, I am considered the weakest and I am looked down upon by my siblings. I really hated that, but I lacked the power to do anything about it, but after were resurfaced I did a little research and came up with a plan to change all that. I would use others to hunt my siblings down and trap their power in the amulets. I even gave some of my powers to one of my minions to create a fake me and trick everyone except Lust into believing that was really me. Then I had you do the heavy lifting and get everything I needed to become the ultimate Sin. Now you shall bare witness to my ascension to godhood!" Said Envy as she attached the two amulets together and imbedded the combined amulet into her chest.
Envy transformed from the humanoid form of Eliza into a tall green four-armed humanoid with a scaly hide, two downward facing ram horns, two glowing green eyes, chiropteran wings hiding beetle-like wings underneath, hooves, and reptilian spines protruding from her back. In Envy's upper arms she carried a sword that looked like a fusion of Pride, Wrath, and Lust's swords in her right hand and Sloth's staff in her left. Envy's two lower arms carried two giant guns that looked like a twisted parody of Dante's guns and Nero's gun fused together.
"Behold my power!" Declared the newly transformed Envy.
"So you stole your siblings powers, along with my dad's looks, as well as give yourself guns like me and Nero. You really are just jealous of everyone." Said Dante.
"Insult me all you want. I took on a form similar to Sparda to ruin his reputation with the humans. I will make the humans despise Sparda!" Declared Envy.
"Now you really struck low. I'm used to creeps hating on my family and trying to kill me, but threatening to destroy my old man's reputation really ticks me off." Said Dante taking up a fighting stance.
"Then let us fight and finish this!" Declared Envy before she raised her guns and began firing them at the hunters.
Dante, Nero, Trish, and Lady dodged out of the way of the shots and Dante leaped at Envy swinging his sword at her. Envy blocked with her sword and there was a thunderous shockwave that shattered all the windows of the surrounding area. Nero jumped at Envy from behind, but she blocked it with her staff. Envy then pointed her guns at both Dante and Nero and fired sending the two flying back from her. Lady pulled out her rocket launcher and fired at Envy, but she batted the rocket away with a swing from her staff. Trish rushed at Envy and began to punch her in the chest and face shocking the Sin in the process. The hunter delivered a few dozen blows to Envy, who made her guns vanish and used her free hands to catch Trish's fists stopping them. Envy then had the horns on her head move to the front of her head, before she reared back and slammed her head into Trish stabbing her in the chest with the horns!
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" Screamed Trish.
"Very weak! You are nothing to me!" Yelled Envy as she pulled her horns out and and had them return to their original position before she tossed Trish through the air.
Trish tumbled through the air and Dante jumped up to catch her. Envy's guns reappeared and she was about to fire at Dante, when Lady pulled out a machine gun and fired several rounds into Envy doing only a little damage, but getting the Sin's attention. The demon turned to Lady who tossed a flash bang grenade at her that exploded and blinded Envy. Nero rushed in and delivered a few blow to Envy with his sword, but after taking a few blows, Envy recovered and deflected Nero's sword before she blasted him away with her staff.
Dante laid a wounded Trish on the ground.
"You ok?" Asked Date.
"I'm fine. I'll...heal and live to fight another day. You just focus on ending this." Said Trish.
"Right time to kick things up a notch." Said Dante as he faced Envy.
Envy fired her guns at Dante, but he deflected them with his sword as he rushed at Envy and delivered a few blows to her knocking her back. Envy recovered and swung her sword at Dante, who blocked it with his sword. The two jumped back then charged at one another swinging their swords at each other and met with loud clangs and sparks. Dante and Envy danced around their swords flashing through the air as they struck each other and then Envy leaped back and fired a blast of energy from her staff at Dante. Dante met the blast with his sword sending it flying back at Envy, who knocked it back at Dante with her staff and Dante knocked it back with his sword, only to have Envy knock it back with her staff, and Dante send it flying back with his sword.
Back and back the energy blast went from Dange to Envy like a deranged game of tennis. This went on for a few minutes and Envy tried to end it by attempting to shot her energy blast with her guns, once it was heading to Dante again. Envy's fingers were fixing to pull the triggers, when a shot from Nero's gun managed to catch Envy by surprise and knock her guns out of her hands. This moment of distraction allowed Dante to send the energy blast back at Envy and it struck and exploded sending her flying and crashing to the ground. Envy stumbled to her feet and got blasted with a rocket from Lady that sent her skidding across the ground and crashing into a wall.
Dante raced towards Envy as she was getting back to her feet. Envy let out a loud screech as four large tentacles burst from her back and slammed into Dante knocking him to the ground. The tentacles lifted Dante into the air and then slammed him around a few times. Nero leaped in and sliced the tentacles restraining Dante making Envy scream as she dropped Dante to the ground. Nero rushed at Envy and struck her a few times, before Envy knocked him back with her staff. Envy's tentacles began to regenerate as she charged at Nero swinging her sword at him. Nero blocked the blow, but he was sent skidding back a dozen feet.
"I will end you all!" Said Envy as she doubled in size.
"So that's how you want to play huh? Fine by me." Said Dante before he activated his Devil Trigger.
Dante flew at Envy and their blades met with a thunderous crash that shook the area. Envy swung her staff at Dante, but he deflected it and sliced Envy a couple of times knocking her back. Envy fired her guns and a few energy blasts from her staff at Dante, who dodged them and fired a few blasts from his guns and struck Envy and knocked her staff out of her hands. Dante flew up grabbed the staff and struck Envy with it sending her smashing into a building.
"Aaaaaaa!" Screamed Envy in rage as she flew out of the building in a rage.
Dante took Envy's staff and broke it in half and tossed the broken staff to the ground, which only angered Envy more. Envy charged at Dante and swung wildly at him, only to have Dante to dodge the attacks.
"You really are a piece of work Envy. All the power you have you needed others to get and then you stole it. Without it you're nothing." Said Dante as he deflected a sword swing.
Envy tried to blast Dante with her guns, but Dante sliced one gun to bits forcing Envy to leap back and fire her remaining gun at Dante. Dante fired his own gun and his blast tore through Envy's blast and into her gun making it explode into bits! Envy shouted in pain as she reeled back. The Sin snarled as she rushed at Dante swinging her sword, only to have Dante deflect it.
"Time to end this." Said Dante before he rushed at Envy and stabbed her through the chest a few inches away from the amulet.
"Arararararaaaaaaarrrrrrrraaaaa!" Screamed Envy as blood and energy exploded from her wound before she collapsed to the ground on her back.
Dante took the amulet out of Envy's chest and removed his sword as he changed back into his normal form. He then sucked the final Sin into the amulet.
"Mission complete." Said Dante as Nero, Lady, and Trish walked over to him.
"Now we just got to take the amulets to the Order of the Seord to get locked up." Said Nero.
"We should also clear out the remaining demons and give Eliza a proper burial." Said Lady.
"Alright ladies you can go deliver the amulets and will go on cleanup duty." Said Dante giving Lady the amulet.
With that said the team split up and went their separate ways.
