A plan is quickly laid out to protect the most vulnerable part of the Crimonia, team A consists of Kaoru, Mitsuha and Fran while team B consists of Yuna, Mile and Mitsuha 2.

"Fran~!" Mile cries as Yuna makes her choice. "No, my cat ears!"

"I'm not a commodity you know…"

"...besides the village, this cave is likely to be a hotspot for monsters to gather. I fought against two bosses in that particular area." Yuna explains her strategy. "I choose the teams based on your attack type and strength; Fran and Mile in front, Kaoru and me in the middle and the Mitsuhas on the back, at least in my previous gaming experience they set up their party that way…"

"Uh small question." Mitsuha raises her hand awkwardly. "I'm powerless though? My aiming isn't that good and if I teleport back for some heavy weaponry, Mile told me that time dilation means I will be much later when I get back here."

"About that, just use my AK47 for now." Mitsuha 2 proudly displays her guns. "You don't have to aim with this thing, just give your team suppression fire."

"What if I run out of bullets…?"

"Uhm, isn't that what Kaoru is for?"

"Huh…? Me? Wha-" Kaoru is frustrated but she knows she can't decline the request. "Now I'm just your ammunition storage huh, you know I can make my own gun too and fight!"

"Well, you are in the middle, no? You have to watch Fran's back and I watch yours…" Mitsuha's finger touches each other as she feels powerless in the party of basically super cat girl soldier and a girl who can create almost anything with her.

(Partying is such a hassle, oh my lord.) Yuna really misses her solo questing time. "Let's just finish the quest and get over it…"

"Ku~" "Ku…~"

(Team A)

"With Fran leading the way, I don't think we need to do much…" Kaoru watches as Fran has already taken care of a group of goblin horde on her own with just some potion support from Kaoru.

"Uhm… Kaoru, I'm curious, why didn't you make powerful weapons in your story to fight for yourself?" Mitsuha takes care of enemies much further away while practicing her aim meanwhile. "You can also literally wall stone to make a modern skyscraper and such…"

"Uhm, you know Celestine is watching me right? I can't just ruin her world too much, I have my lines that I will not cross unless they are necessary…" Kaoru points back to Mitsuha. "Mile told me that you don't have anyone to worry about, I guess you are just full out making the world in your image huh?"

"In my image? I'm not going to change humanity's fate or anything that extreme…" Mitsuha tilted her head. "Well… technically I can but that sounds too much of a hassle."

"Kaoru, Mitsuha, I checked and this area is now clear." Fran reporting in. "Teacher, you have to tell me everything after you finish chatting with them."

"Yes, yes…"

"Woah, it's real." Mitsuha patting on Fran. "The ears are real!"

"Please stop that, I don't think Fran likes that." Kaoru steps out of her way.

"You are just like her before. Teacher, you are right. They are all the same." Fran walks far away with her beast familiar, Urushi.

"Yeah, that's definitely cat behaviour." Mitsuha already speculates tons of scenarios for Fran but quickly brushes it all off since they are all too sus and criminal if given the context of them. "Man, I feel so jealous…"

"Hey, hey." The sword came closer. "I really want to know the continuation to that series, HunterXHunter, surely he's back writing it out by now right?"

"Nope." Mitsuha shook her head. "If there is one universe he's doing it, then mine is not that one."

"Jeez, don't talk like Mitsuha 2." Kaoru almost got spooked out. "Well uhm, are you two completely the same? Like a clone?"

"How do I know? I only met her just now? I didn't even know that's possible until today. It's crazy!" Mitsuha inspecting the AK47 Mitsuha 2 given her. "Why is her eye shot? Will my eye get shot one day in my own story? Why is she the one balancing the universes and all that? Did I become some sort of an agent of TVA?"

"Uhm… possibly?" Kaoru can't draw any conclusion. "Sword chan, please don't be sad, maybe Mitsuha 2 knows?"

"I already asked her."

"Oh."

(Team B)

"Mitsuha 2, Mitsuha 2." Mile's saying is clearly making Mitsuha 2 frown. "How come you can travel to Yuna's world?"

"Long story short, Multiverse ouch, ouch ouch, stop, forgive ME-" Mitsuha 2 almost forgot Mile's unreal strength, the hand grip of half a dragon now pushing onto her slim hand. "I give up, I give up Mile, you are being scary!"

"Yeah, I want to know that too." Yuna crosses her arms. "Seems too much of a coincidence when two Mitsuhas 'accidentally' jump to my world as if my place is a hot travelling destination; and you clearly know more than the other Mitsuha."

"Then make me Mitsuha. Not Mitsuha 2." Mitsuha proudly doing her chunibyo pose. "Saving the universe one teleportation at a time!"

"Woah, woah~" Mile can't help but clap. "I think she's trying to change the subject of the conversation."

"No, no, no, please! Don't do it. I will tell you, okay? Just listen." Mitsuha 2 almost out of breath facing the bear and half a dragon. "Technically, I don't exist. I-I can't explain it well but basically something happened in my timeline okay? Some weird cat god telling me things I can't remember well, saying I'm that margin of error type thing. I have to do stuff to keep me alive, okay…?"

"What stuff?"

"For every good and evil, there has to be a one on one." Mitsuha 2 raises both her hands just above her chest. "I can't stress enough but to tell you this. If things continue the way they are, none of us are surviving okay? I need you two to understand that none of this is normal. Once I get everyone back home, forget everything, go do your own stuff, make sure the balance of the universe is in check so we can all get to… live?"

"Yikes…" Yuna almost half confirms her bad suspicion of the entire situation. "Why can't you tell us the first time around?"

"I can't… If she gets to the bottom of this, she may become me and the cycle never ends." Mitsuha 2 smiles blankly at Mile. "Remember? Time dilation."
