It was a rainy Saturday morning at Alliance Heights, the gray sky outside casting a lazy atmosphere over the dormitory. Raindrops drummed against the windows in a steady rhythm, and the residents of class 1-A were sprawled across the common area, caught in that peculiar limbo between boredom and contentment.

The television was on, but no one was really watching. Izuku sat comfortably on the couch, sipping a warm cup of tea, while Ochako curled on the opposite end of the couch, her feet tucked beneath her. Shouto sat nearby, quietly flipping through a book, and Katsuki was reclining with his arms, crossed, scowling at nothing in particular.

Then, like a sudden explosion—though thankfully not a literal one—Katsuki groaned loudly. "Tch, this is boring as hell." His voice shattered the peaceful stillness, prompting a few eye rolls and sighs from his classmates.

"Well, what do you want to do then?" Ochako asked, setting down her drink.

"We could play a board game," Shouto suggested, his voice as calm as ever.

"Or we could do karaoke!" Mina chimed in enthusiastically.

"Like hell we're doing that," Katsuki snapped, making Mina huff in disappointment.

"We could play video games," Tenya offered in his usual responsible tone.

"Yeah, about that…." Minotaur cut in with a grimace. "The WiFi's been spotty since last night. Won't be fixed until next week."

The room collectively groaned at this tragic news. Video games were usually their go-to for passing the time.

"How about Uno?"

The causal suggestion came from Kyouka, her voice laced with an almost mischievous undertone.

Silence fell.

A few heads turned. Eyes widened in horror. Momo gasped, covering her mouth as if Kyouka had uttered something forbidden. Denki's cup slipped from his hand and hit the floor with a soft thud.

Izuku blinked in confusion. "What's Uno?"

Denki turned to him slowly, his face pale. "It's a game…a cursed game," he said gravely.

"A game forged in the pits of chaos," Momo murmured, shuddering.

"The devil himself created it," Denki added.

"It's like the cousin of Spades and Dominoes," Yuga explained, dramatically flipping his hair.

Ochako shook her head. "Friendships have been broken, relationships ruined…all because of this game."

The spiky-haired blond scoffed, unimpressed. "That's all a bunch of extra bull. No card game is that bad."

The electric blond pointed at him. "That's what they all say, before they play."

Still unconvinced, Katsuki turned to Izuku, who still looked bewildered by all the ominous warnings. "You don't know anything about this crap, do you, nerd?"

The emerald-haired teen hesitated. "Uh, no…but it sounds fun?"

Katsuki grinned, cracking his knuckles. "Then we're playing."

The class exchanged nervous glances, but one by one, they sighed in resignation. If Katsuki was determined to play, there was no way out of it now.

"Alright," Izuku said, standing up. "What's the worst that could happen?"

The French blond placed a solemn hand on Izuku's shoulder. "No one wins, mon ami!" He whispered. "You only survive."

And so, it was decided. They would all gather back in an hour, grabbing snacks and preparing themselves for the battle ahead. Momo would retrieve the Uno deck, and then…chaos would begin.

Little did they know, this would be a game they would never forget.

An hour later….

The dining room of Alliance Heights was filled with an air of anticipation and unease. The group had gathered around the long table, their supply of snacks spread out like provisions for a battle. Bags of chips, soda cans, and bowls of popcorn sat within arm's reach—fuel for the chaos that was about to unfold.

At the head of the table, Momo set down the Uno deck with a dramatic thud. The sound alone made a few people flinch. Even Shouto raised an eyebrow, sensing the tension in the air.

"Alright, let's get this over with." Katsuki muttered, cracking his knuckles as if preparing for an actual fight.

Tenya, ever the responsible one, had taken charge of shuffling the cards. Wearing a dealer's visor, he shuffled with the precision of a professional dealer at a high-stakes casino. "Now, before we begin, I shall explain the rules!" He declared, gesturing animatedly.

Despite his over-the-top explanation—complete with hand movements and unnecessary terminology—Izuku listened intently. To him, it all seemed pretty straightforward: match colors or numbers, play action cards to mess with opponents, and get rid of all your cards first.

"This doesn't sound too hard," Izuku commented optimistically, nodding as he took his hand of cards.

Katsuki let out a short, dark chuckle. It was the kind of laugh that sent shivers down the spines of those who knew him well.

"You poor, naive fool," Denki muttered under his breath.

Once the cards were dealt, they were officially in the game. Ochako turned to Katsuki with a pleading expression. "Can you at least be merciful for the first round?"

The spiky-haired blond smirked, leaning back in his chair as he held his cards close to his chest. "No promises, Round Face!"

And with that, the first card was played.

Round 1….

The first card was flipped onto the discard pile—a simple blue five.

For a moment, things seemed peaceful. The engine teen went first, placing a matching blue seven on top, nodding to himself in satisfaction. "Excellent. A game of strategy and discipline. Let us proceed in an orderly fashion!"

The game continued smoothly as Momo followed up with another blue card, and Ochako placed her own without hesitation.

Then it was Katsuki's turn. He smirked. "Hope you guys are ready for hell."

With a flick of his wrist, he slapped down a Draw Two card. The table collectively gasped. Denki, who was next, paled. "Wait! No, bro, please!"

"Pick up your cards, dumbass!" The explosive teen sneered.

Groaning, the electric blond drew two cards, slumping in his seat.

"It begins…" The class vice-president murmured, gripping her cards a little tighter.

Shouto, completely unaffected by the drama, placed a blue nine, his face as unreadable as ever.

The game cycled around, with minor moments of betrayal.

Minoru skipped Kyouka, which earned him a sharp elbow to the ribs.

Ochako changed the color to red, throwing off Tenya's carefully planned strategy.

Mina played a Reverse card, changing the direction back to Izuku.

Izuku, so far, had been playing it safe. He placed a red three down and smiled. "This isn't so bad. It's actually kinda fun—"

Then Katsuki struck again. "Plus Four, nerd!"

It was silent in the room. Izuku blinked. "Oh. uh…w-wait, I have to draw four cards?"

"And you get to change the color," the rocker teen added.

"Oh, well, I guess that's no so—"

"FOUR. CARDS. DEKU." The explosive teen interjected, grinning like a demon.

Izuku gulped and picked up his four cards, his entire strategy crumbling before his eyes.

Yuga, observing the growing chaos, sighed dramatically. "The descent into madness has begun."

The game pressed on.

More skips. More reverses. More stacked Plus Two cards, forcing the electric blond and the grapehead dwarf into an ever-growing pit of cards. Momo tried to keep things orderly, but her well-planned turns were constantly disrupted.

Then came the real breaking point — the gravity teen, the usually sweet and kind girl, was down to one card. "UNO!" she declared triumphantly.

Everyone turned to look at her, their gazes sharp.

The room erupted into laughter, groans, and accusations of betrayal. It was only round one, and already, the game was turning into a war.

Izuku, now holding nearly half the deck, finally understood what they meant when they said: "No one wins. You only survive."

Round 2….

As the second round began, Izuku adjusted his grip on his cards, his mind now actively strategizing. He had been through one round of Uno and had learned two crucial lessons — Katsuki is a menace and no one is safe.

The game had become a battlefield of betrayal and revenge. The stakes weren't just about winning, it was about surviving.

Just as the cards were dealt and the game resumed, four more classmates wandered in. Tooru, Mashirao, Tsuyu, and Fumikage had arrived, drawn by the sounds of shouting and evil laughter.

"What's going on here?" Tooru asked, her unseen eyes shifting between the players.

"They're playing Uno," Mashirao replied, observing the serious expressions at the table.

Tsuyu blinked, then glanced at Fumikage before whispering, "Are they aware they are playing with the devil, ribbit?"

The bird teen said nothing. Instead, he calmly reached into his pocket, pulling out a pair of shades. With the slow, deliberate movement of someone about to witness chaos, he put them on.

"I shall prepare for the flames of destruction," he murmured, his deep voice tinged with dramatic foreboding.

The spectators settled in to watch, just as the madness resumed.

The round began innocently enough. Momo played a simple red card. Shouto followed with another red. Ochako added a red seven.

Then, it was Katsuki's turn. "Oh, you bastards learned nothing." He dropped a Plus Four Wild with zero hesitation.

The collective gasp from the onlookers sent chills down the spines of the players. Denki, who was next, groaned. "Bakugo! Why?!"

"Pick up the damn cards, idiot!" Katsuki retorted.

The electric blond reluctantly grabbed four more cards, slamming them onto the table with exaggerated drama. "You monster!"

"Damn right," Katsuki smirked.

The emerald-eyed teen, however, was starting to see the patterns. Instead of panicking, he studied the way his classmates played.

"Iida played like he was in a chess match, always trying to maintain order. Yaoyorozu tried to strategize, but she was often interrupted by others' chaos. Ochako started out playing nice but had already begun embracing the darkness. Kaminari and Mineta were the ones everyone dumped their worst cards on."

Izuku had to adapt. So, when it was his turn, he smirked—just slightly—before placing down a Reverse card aimed directly at Katsuki. The blond's red eyes narrowed.

"Oh? You think you're funny, huh Deku?"

Izuku shrugged, his grip tightening on his cards. "Maybe."

A low ooh came from the spectators. The invisible teen nudged the monkey teen. "Did you see that? Midoriya just got bold."

"He's either learning…or signing his death warrant," Mashirao murmured.

The game pressed on. Skips, reverses, and draw cards were thrown like shurikens. Tsuyu shook her head as she watched Ochako play a second consecutive Reverse on Tenya, throwing his whole strategy off.

"Holy Esdeath!" Fumikage muttered from the shadows.

And then came the moment that sent the room into a frenzy.

Izuku saw the opportunity. He could Uno. He could Uno, he could….

"Oh, hell no!"

Before Izuku could even dream of victory, Katsuki slammed down another Plus Four Wild card. Izuku's face fell."

"Should have spoken up, nerd. Now, pick. Up. Four. Nerd."

Tsuyu sighed, already knowing what would happen. "C'mon, Bakugo. He's a first timer."

"Shut the hell up, Froggy," retorted the explosive blond. "Should have paid attention to the rules."

Fumikage adjusted his shades. "We must only bear witness to this catastrophe, Tsu-chan. This isn't our battle." Izuku, with a heavy heart, picked up four cards. His one chance at victory, stolen. And as Katsuki cackled, the second round continued.

A few minutes later….

Tension filled the air as class 1-A continued playing. Minoru was sweating profusely, gripping his cards like they were a lifeline. He felt like he was sitting on a time bomb, just waiting for it to go off.

Denki kept muttering to himself, "This isn't Uno. This is Yu-Gi-Oh! I need to believe in the heart of the cards."

Tenya wore an unreadable expression, a perfect poker face, but his fingers twitched slightly with every play.

Momo sat rigid, her carefully planned strategies falling apart before her eyes.

Shouto, the ever-composed one, felt the unexplainable urge for a cigarette and he didn't even smoke.

This didn't go unnoticed. Katsuki, always looking for weakness, smirked. "Oi, Great Value Zuko, you nervous?"

Shouto glanced at him, his eyes twitching ever so slightly. "No."

The blond chuckled darkly. "Good. 'Cause you got every right to be."

Minoru was immediately hit with a Draw Two, followed by a Skip—leaving him helpless. Denki found himself in a loop of Reverse cards, trapping him in a never-ending cycle of confusion. Tenya's poker face cracked the moment Momo changed the color at the worst possible moment. Shouto played in cold-blood silence, despite being targeted. He continued dropping Reverses and Skips like precision strikes.

But then, Ochako took the lead.

She had two cards left and was controlling the game. Every play worked in her favor. She was one step ahead of everyone, and her winning card was in her grasp.

Then Katsuki happened.

"Hold up." The whole table turned as Katsuki grinned, holding a Wild Plus Four card.

Ochako's face paled. "No, no, no! Bakugo, wait—"

The shit-eating grinning explosive teen slammed the card down. "DRAW. FOUR. FLOATY!"

The room erupted in chaos. The round face teen gasped in betrayal. The electric blond clutched his chest. The vice president covered her mouth. The bird teen watched, simply nodded.

"The flames of destruction spread once more."

Ochako begrudgingly picked up four cards, glaring at the explosive teen. "You're a menace to society."

"Damn right!" He responded, cracking his knuckles.

Everyone thought Katsuki was in the lead to win, just having a single card left.

Katsuki was in the win, about to say Uno until….

"Draw four, Kacchan!" Izuku said, slapping down a Wild Draw Four card!

Denki fell out of his chair. Minoru's eyes bulged. Momo let out a gasp. Ochako clapped in sweet revenge. Shouto just smirked.

Katsuki, seething, locked eyes with Izuku. "You little—"

"UNO!" Izuku said, smiling victoriously.

Katsuki, furious, reluctantly picked up four cards, while Izuku secured the win.

"Deku actually won." Denki whispered in disbelief.

"The game has a new king." Yuga nodded solemnly.

"The balance has shifted." Fumikage adjusted his shades.

The emerald-haired teen delivered peace signs, feeling good to win for a change.

About twenty minutes later….

As the tension from the last round settled, the rocker teen leaned back in her chair, tapping her fingers on the table. "Well, that evens things up. Bakugo won one and Midoriya won one."

The emerald-haired teen, still riding the high of his unexpected victory, smiled. "That was actually really fun!"

The room paused, the atmosphere shifting as all eyes slowly turned toward Katsuki. He sat there, his expression unreadable. His grip on his cards tightened. Then, ever so slightly, he titled his head down, casting a shadow over his eyes.

It was a familiar expression, one that sent a chill down everyone's spine. It was the same expression that Dio Brando made before uttering, "You may have won this round, but…"

Ochako gulped. "Bakugo? Are you okay?"

Slowly, Katsuki's lips curled into a smirk. "One more round."

Denki visibly flinched. "Bro, you look like you're about to murder someone."

Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Tch! Maybe."

The engine teen adjusted his glasses, exhaling. "I suppose another round wouldn't hurt. I'm already caught up with my homework."

One by one, the others reluctantly agreed—some out of curiosity, some out of pure fear. This time, Katsuki was the one shuffling the deck. And for some reason, it felt different. The way the cards snapped together, the slow, methodical movements, and the glint in his eyes as he passed out each hand.

People could tell something was about to go down.

Round 3….

From the very first move, it was obvious that Bakugo was out for blood. Denki was immediately slapped with a Plus Two. Ochako got Skipped twice in a row. Minoru had already drawn six extra cards before even taking a turn. Shouto, for the first time, actually sighed in frustration.

"This feels personal, man." Shouto muttered as he was hit with a Plus Four.

"That's 'cause it is," Katsuki growled.

Izuku, however, wasn't backing down. He had learned from his previous rounds. He knew how to counter, how to play defensively, and more importantly, he knew how to push Katsuki's buttons.

So, when he saw his opening, he played a Reverse card—back to Katsuki.

The table held their breath. Katsuki stared at him. Izuku stared back.

For a moment, nothing was said.

"Seems like Deku found his nuts, huh?" Katsuki smirked.

Izuku smiled back. "Maybe?"

Leaning forward, the explosive blond rested his arms on the table, locking eyes with his childhood friend. His voice was low, laced with venomous amusement.

"That's cute, nerd. Very fucking cute of you. But how you're gonna use a Reverse card or a Draw Four…" He let his words hang, waiting until everyone was staring at him. "...when you can't even draw four women?"

Denki immediately fell out of chair, wheezing. Minoru choked on his drink. Tsuyu just muttered a quiet "ribbit" of disbelief. Shouto covered his mouth and Momo silently dropped her head, knowing better than to get involved.

Katsuki wasn't done. "And you sure as hell can't reverse being a sissy nerd."

The room was losing it. Denki was beating the floor. However, Izuku didn't flinch. He calmly adjusted his headland, glanced at Katsuki and smirked.

"That's funny, Kacchan. But you know what's even funnier?" He slapped down a Skip card, stopping Katsuki from playing. The room gasped. Izuku leaned back, grinning. "Just like Blake Belladonna always says, 'Faunus got the cream!'"

The whole table erupted — Minoru was on his feet, screaming. Mina ran around the table like it was a fight ring. Denki straight-up crawled under the table. Shouto actually cracked a small smile.

The blond's face twitched. The energy at the table had shifted. Izuku had just countered his insult and played a power move. And to make things worse, because Katsuki was skipped, the turn went to Minoru. For the first time in the game, Minoru had the advantage.

Momo covered her face. "It's officially gotten personal."

Katsuki cracked his knuckles. "Alright, Deku. Can't wait to see that cute face of yours fade away."

The game had reached its breaking point. Everyone was literally sweating. Tenya's clothes were drenched as if he had just run a marathon. Momo's fingers twitched, trying to hold onto her last shred of patience. Kyouka sat stiffly, gripping her cards like they were a live grenade. Shouto was feeling so tense that he looked like he was about to walk outside and really buy a pack of cigarettes.

The tension in the dining room was so thick, it could have been cut with a knife.

Katsuki's eyes gleamed with triumph. He just had two cards left. He could taste sweet victory. "Alright, you bastard, say goodnight!"

Or so he thought.

"Draw four."

A calm yet powerful voice cut through the tension.

Katsuki jerked his head as Izuku stared right at him, holding up a Wild Plus Four Card, his expression unreadable. Katsuki's hand trembled, his jaw clenched. "You…bitch!"

Izuku, calmly, placed his last card down. "UNO. Game over."

And just like that, the game ended.

Izuku had secured another win—right in Katsuki's face.

Then, it was met with a round of applause.

Twenty minutes later….

The dust had settled. Katsuki was in disbelief that Izuku won…again! He was reeling from the humiliation as he sat at the table. His hands were clenched into fists. His eyes twitched and his temper barely restrained.

Tooru stretched her arms, sighing. "After all that? Yeah, I need a drink. And it ain't gonna be soda."

Tsuyu nodded in agreement, wiping her brow. "That was more intense than half the anime battles I've seen, ribbit."

Fumikage took off his shades, trying to register what had transpired. "It reminds me of those foreign Beacon girls. Have you ever seen them play Phase 10?"

Katsuki then groaned loudly, slamming his head against the table.

"Oh, for f— TCH! Shut up about those shitty extras!"

The others stifled laughter. Katsuki, feeling the urge to escape the embarrassment, stood up, scowling. "I'm done with this shit. I'm gonna go hang out with hedgehog hair—"

"So, I knew a guy that was dyslexic. But he was also cross-eyed. So everything turned out right."

Katsuki's eyes widened when hearing his worst fear, made real, entering the vicinity.

He stared at the ceiling. "Here comes fucking Yang!"

To be continued….
