"I call you...Tenma."

Lee felt a force pulse within him. It was as if his body was winding up for a fight. He looked at the bat creature with calm eyes. Strike him now, master. A voice sounded in his head. Lee reared back his fist and punched with all his might. The bat creature screamed as Lee's fists struck the claws holding him, shattering the bones. Lee fell to the ground and landed on his feet easily. His normal black hair had streaks of yellow in it. His eyes burned with a brilliant light. The bat creatures flew higher and began an energy attack. Master, we can defeat them.

"Yes." Lee said. Lee held out his arms and the light began to gather around them. A burst of light then revealed Lee's arms were clad in bright golden gauntlets. Lee's eyes turned to the creatures, the brown laced with gold. Lee then jumped into the air, golden wings unfurling from the light around him. The bat creatures screamed as he came closer. Their energy attack was destroyed in an instant. Lee reared back his fist and struck.

"Lighspeed Smashing Fist." Lee said. The fist then emitted a beam of golden light that rushed towards the bat creatures and when the light hit them, they were burned to ash. Lee landed as the wings faded away, his eyes tired.

"Guy sensi." Lee said as he passed out. Guy picked up Lee. The ashes had floated away.

"Rest easy, Lee" Guy said as Kiba rushed up.

"Did he get them all?" Kiba asked.

"Yes. Lee summoned his spirit and defeated them. How youthful he was!" Guy said as the pair headed back to the fort. Kiba looked amazed.

"Those gauntlets. Even with his weights on he struck fast." Kiba said. He looked at his ring. When will get mine? Kiba wondered looking at the fort.

Eastern wall bordertown

Douma walked through the town, sunlight reflecting off his hair. Akaza was found in this town, well hidden. He looked at the sun. Ever since he had been reborn, he had enjoyed wamth of the sun and warmth of the human heart. Akaza was going to act tonight as the rumors of the blue spider lily had done its job. Douma looked at his companion a smile on his face.

"So this Akaza doesn't harm women?" She asked

"No. This is why Ryska believes he can be saved." Douma said. The lady smirked, her two colored eyes gleaming.

"Ah, this is the meeting place. How ironic." Douma chirpped as they arrived at a dojo. Night had fallen as they opened the doors. Akaza looked at the newcomers, realization dawning on him.

"Upper moon 2, what are you doing?" Akaza said approaching Douma.

"Unlike you, I cut ties with Muzan." Douma said, pulling his fan. Akaza scowled.

"How dare you address Lord Muzan like that? Wait why hasn't the curse activated?" Akaza said.

"Because I chose a different master. One more powerful than Muzan." Douma said. Akaza growled.

"No one could..." Akaza said, his temper flaring.

"She can. She can even return the dead to life." Douma said, hiding his face behind his fan. Akaza paused for a moment.

"Lies!" Akaza hissed. Attacking Douma, Akaza let his guard down as Douma had hoped. Ropes of light wrapped around Akaza holding him easily.

"The lady wants you alive. This cage will protect you while we get over the wall." Douma smiled as the lights covered Akaza like a mummy. He was soon encased in a Sarcophagus like prison.

"Well, that went better than expected. Lets go home before he breaks out." The woman said. Douma smiled as a seal appeared under their feet and they disappeared. A demon opened the door to find it empty. He merely thought that the people didn't show up and he left.

Konoha

Danzo was once again in front of the Hokage. Setsui looked calm. Danzo was still wondering why his gifts didn't work.

"When can we expect the arena to be ready?" Setsui asked..

"Arena?" Danzo questioned.

"Yes. The Damiyo has secured a small fighting Tournament for next spring." Setsui asked.

"We are working on it. It should be done within the next two months." Danzo said.

"Very well, also the plaza needs to be scrubbed down very well, the sewer pipe on the entryway needs to be checked, and the sewer system needs to cleaned, checked for repairs, and repaired if need be." Setsui said.

"Yes, Hokage. I shall see it done. When can we expect some genin to graduate?" Danzo said.

"I've added a few courses to the academy, however we can expect the first genin in about 6 years as they are all very young." Setsui said.

"Very well. I was going to ask..." Danzo began.

"I've already had a few of our new citizens added as teachers so there are no empty slots." Setsui cut him off.

"Yes...I shall return to my work." Danzo said. Danzo walked out of the office, his mind fuming. How did he know i was going to ask for a teachers position? I told no one. Does he have telepathy? Danzo wondered how. Setsui glared at the door.

"Hokage, the reports of today." a nin said. Setsui read the report. Some of the smaller nations were willingly to do business with them for a price. The banishment had hurt Fire Country. They were easily the weakest of the villages. Setsui glared at Danzo's back. He had something to do with the banishment as he had a part in the incident sixteen years ago. Setsui thought. I'm not done with you yet. You'll suffer more. Setsui thought, a smirk on his face.

West-Fort

Ryska watched as Douma and his companion brought Akaza into the special room. In Ryska's hand, a beautiful snowflake hairpin gleamed.

"Douma, leave us." Ryska asked.

"I'll be right outside." Douma said, leaving the room. Ryska nodded to the lady. The lady undid the spell holding Akaza. Akaza jumped up ready to fight.

"Where is the traitor?!" Akaza said as he saw two women.

"Akaza, do yoy know who killed your wife and father in law?" Ryska asked.

"A enemy dojo! I killed them all!" Akaza said.

"But why? Over a fight that they started and their master scolded them for? Why?" Ryska said.

"They lost! They were jealous! They..." Akaza said looking into her eyes.

"Why kill your wife? Why not you? Perhaps Koykuki can tell us." Ryska said, holding the hairpin with three snowflakes. Akaza eyes widened.

"Thats...Koykuki's" Akaza stammered

"Yes, i visited her soul. She is in pain for you. You are breaking her heart." Ryska said softly.

"You...spoke with her." Akaza whispered.

"Yes. Would you like to see her?" Ryska asked. Akaza nodded. Ryska held the pin high in the air. A purple glow emitted from her hand and the pin shifted form. It turned into a small woman who was very beautiful. Akaza hit his knees.

"Koykuki?" Akaza said.

"Hakuji, why?" Koykuki asked as she knelt in front of him. Hakuji grabbed her in a hug.

"They killed you and sensi! I had to get revenge." Hajuki said.

"They didn't poison the water. We had a visitor that night that you went to fetch supplies and he did it. I think his name was Muzan." Koykuki said. Hakuji's face turned cold.

"Lord Muzan...he did this! Why?" Hakuji said.

"Because he knew talent and your fighting spirit. Someone like Muzan makes me sick." The other lady said.

"Because of my skills?" Hakuji said.

"Yes, personally, i would have tried to recruit you too but I wouldn't have killed your family to do it." The lady said.

"I can undo the curse he's put on you but only if you swear to serve me." Ryska said.

"Serve you?" Hakuji said.

"Yes, redeem yourself. Become Hakuji again and forget Akaza." Ryska said. Hakuji looked into Koykuki's eyes.

"If I do this, can Sensei rest in peace?" Hakuji asked.

"Yes, and Koykuki as well." Ryska said. Hakuji spoke, his voice determined

"I agree. I'll become one of your followers." Hakuji knelt in front of her. Ryska placed her staff on Hakuji's shoulder and held her ring hand above his head.

"Very well. Spirits of the past restore what once was and return to the one who has sworn fealty to me, the Soul Queen, the humanity that was stolen from him. He has chose to be reborn anew as a phoneix from the ashes, Hakuji awaken!" Ryska chanted, her eyes glowing. Symbols appeared around Akaza/Hakuji as he knelt there. Streams of light with arcane writing twirled around him, removung the demon blood from him, the tattoos, and the poison of the past. His body and face returned to normal. As the chant ended, Hakuji felt a waem hand in his and his long dead heart revived. He also felt way more powerful.

"Open your eyes." Ryska said softly. Hakuji opened his eyes to see Koykuki sitting in front of him, holding his hand.

"How?" Hakuji asked.

"Koykuki is your soulmate. As such your souls are linked, one cannot proceed without the other." Ryska said as the pair stood up.

"Lady..."

"Ryska." Ryska said.

"Lady Ryska, thank you for my second chance. I will serve you forever." Hakuji said.

"I know you will but first you must amke amends with another." Ryska said as she led the pair out. Douma had brought Rengoku to the tent. Hakuji's face changed as Rengoku came near. As Rengoku came face to face with Hakuji, Hakuji fell to his knees.

"Flame Hashira, please forgive me! I have changed my ways and I will redeem myself." Hakuji said as he pressed his forehead to the ground. Rengoku was quiet for a moment, his eyes on Hakuji. As the group watched, Rengoku reached down and helped Hakuji up.

"Think nothing of the past. You have chosen the path of redemption and therefore the fire in your heart must burn brightly! We are no longer enemies but comrades. Come, my friend, lets talk over a meal." Rengoku said brightly. Hakuji looked at him.

"You hold no grugdes?" Hakuji asked.

"No, the master always says that one who has been led astray can be reborn as if they were a blade being reforged." Rengoku said. Ryska smiled as the trio walked away. The other lady looked at her.

"It seems we have yet another ally against that scumbag. One day he too will reap a soured crop." She said. Ryska smiled.

"Yes, Luminous, he will."
