Sniper Redemption part 7: Outside the prison, the two of the remaining masked figures are fighting from a distance as they shoot at the guards while the twin pistol user is getting into melee with the largest warden.

It's been three hours since Rayleigh left to take care of his errands. Currently, Izuku has crashed on Gran's couch taking a much-needed break after the intense training session his idol's mentor put him through. He was given an hour break for the hard work out. He then noticed Gran coming in with a cup of iced water.

"Feeling better, kid?" The retired hero asked the ninth successor.

"No wonder, All Might was afraid of you…" muttered Izuku with a slight shiver.

"With good reason. Now that you're rested, we're going to head to Hosu, brat."

Izuku sat up as he paid attention. "Why are we going there, Gran-Sensei?"

"Endeavor had asked for my help with finding and capturing Hero Killer Stain." Gran's eyes hardened as he became more serious. Izuku stood up after hearing this. "Now if you're anything like that lug, I expect you to not run off to fight the Hero Killer alone."

"I understand, sir!"

As the pair were about to head off, Gran pulled Izuku to the side. "Listen, Brat, if things get hairy and you're needed in a different location, ask for my permission first. Not asking will put my ass on the line and get my teaching license revoked. You got it?"

"Crystal!"

half hour later

Both Izuku and Gran sat on the train in their hero costumes. Izuku fidgeted in his seat before looking at his mentor. "Gran-sensei, I have a question."

The older hero raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, what is it?"

"Well…what was All Might like when he started?"

"The lug started out a lot like you, bright-eyed and new to the world. Naive at first but had his heart in the right place. He did whine when I picked up the training and made it harder, but I'm a firm believer in tough love."

Izuku flinched as he remembered the 'Tough love' training Gran put him through not even an hour ago. "Did All Might cry during those tough love moments?"

"Like a baby."

Before Izuku could think more about his mentor, a voice rang in his head. 'Move!' Thinking quickly, he grabbed Gran and dived out of his seat as something crashed into the passengers of the train screamed as they saw it was a monster emerging from the hole in the train.

Izuku saw the monster had similarities to the monster back from USJ, the Nomu, but it was clearly different from its predecessor. It had its brain exposed with 4 eyes on it, grayish-green skin, and a lean build. It wore nothing but gray pants and a belt around its waist.

"A Nomu?!" exclaimed Izuku, now getting up quickly. "Is this another attack from the League?"

"You know what that thing is?" asked Gran, standing up as well.

"It's a creature that was made by a Villain group, the League of Villains."

"Good to know, now brat, follow my lead!" Without warning, Gran flew out of his seat and tackled the Nomu out the hole in the train.

Following his teacher's lead, Izuku ran to the hole and he saw a few explosions from the distance. Shaking his head, Izuku had to focus on the task at hand and saw Gran crash the Nomu into the street below. He then started to twist his torso around and then jumped out of the train. While in free fall, Izuku let the tension go as his lower body started to spin like a top and he started started to hover straight to where Gran was fighting the Nomu.

The hero search party, moments prior

The manhunt party was tense as they patrolled the streets of Hosu. Shoto kept a stoic facade while Mineta fidgeted in place, nervously looking around the street. "Why did I have to fix it," griped the latter. "It will be fun," they said of doing the internship. It will be easy, they said."

"Stay focused Mineta," replied Shoto.

"Easy for you to say!"

Ignoring his classmate's complaining, Shoto scanned the area. Something caught his eye as Endeavor noticed Shoto stopped walking.

"What is it Frostburn?" asked the number 2 hero.

"I saw something in the sky."

Shoto and Enji were both on edge as a blur tackled Endeavor off his feet and into a car. The other Pro Heroes were startled as another figure crashed down into the street causing civilians to run away in terror. Shoto and Mineta backed away as the black creature before them looked like the monster from USJ, except it had no eyes.

"What the?!" Mineta yelped. "They made more Nomus?!"

Shoto narrowed his eyes. "Yes, they did."

Mineta panicked but still held his ground. Behind him, Endeavor just pried the winged Nomu off himself and threw him into the other Nomu.

"Alright, let's keep the Nomus isolated here so they won't cause any more collateral damage. Mt. Lady, you are on crowd control. Frostburn and Vineyard, help subdue the Villains with me. Everyone else, rescue as many civilians as you can." Endeavor ordered the search party.

"Yessir! Yelped Mineta as he threw himself into the fray. He began to frantically throw his sticky balls at the flying Nomu, in hopes it would be restrained. The flying abomination dodged the garage and roared before making a beeline straight at the small hero in training. "Crap this one is smart!" And jumped out of the way.

Mineta saw the winged Nomu was going to go in for a second swipe when he thought of a risky idea. The Wing Nomu tried to take a second dive when Mineta jumped over the Nomu at the last minute and threw a ball at one of the joints in the right wing. 'I hope this works!' The sticky ball Landed its mark and jammed it. The compromised wing caused the Nomu to tumble to the ground.

Shoto noted it's direction and planted his hand on the ground, generating ice fast enough to form a wall. The abomination crashed through the wall and skid to a stop, completely unconscious. To make sure the Nomu won't escape, Shoto then encased it in solid ice.

Mineta landed beside Shoto, trying to catch his breath. The stoic teen glanced at his classmate. "You did well." he complimented his classmate.

Mineta looked up. "Heh, I did help take down a Villian. Maybe girls might like me now."

"Let's not get too far ahead of yourself." The short student immediately deflated at the response. "For now, let's focus on helping civilians." Shoto then ran forward towards where the other heroes were helping with crowd control with Mineta following behind him, reluctantly.

Not too far away, a few pro Heroes were fighting the Black Nomu. One hero dressed as a samurai charged at the monster with a sword in hand, only to be backhanded by it. Another hero lunged behind the behemoth and the Nomu smashed in one hero's head with an overhead strike. The samurai hero got back up and with a overhead shot, sliced the Nomu's arm off. The Nomu roared as it grabbed the samurai and lifted him by his neck with its other hand as it's stump started to grow bone and tissue to replace it's lost limp.

"Oh, fu-" the samurai was then smashed into the ground by the Nomu as it's arm was fully healed. Before it could go after anyone else's, Endeavor blasted the Nomu with a torrent of flames.

"I will take it from here." stated the number two hero commented to the fallen hero before glaring at the monster. another Pro Hero rushed over and took the samurai hero away from the scene as Endeavor squared up with the Black Nomu.

The Nomu was throwing wild punches. Bad news, they carried tons of power behind it. Good news, it was predictable.

Endeavor weaved and lit his hands on fire, closing the distance, and burning the Nomu's chest, making a massive scar. The Nomu roared in pain despite its healing factor going into overdrive.

Endeavor grabbed the Nomu's head but the latter grabbed him by the collar and slammed him into the concrete. 'The wounds aren't healing as fast - this means it can be overtaxed.' Thinking quickly, Endeavor lit his fist on fire and focused on the abominations exposed brain.

"Hellfire Fist!"

A blast of flames that covered the Black Nomu's head. The number 2 hero kept his flames going until they turned bright blue. After 30 agonizing seconds the body stopped struggling and went limp. Endeavor stopped to look at his work as the head of the creature was gone and a castrurized wound covered where its neck was. He dropped the body and shook his fist to rid himself of any excess flames. "Alright, everyone, focus on rescuing any civilians that are trapped in any accidents. Now!"

Up above, Shigaraki sneered down below at seeing his two bio-weapons were disposed of. Scratching furiously at his neck he was starting to get pissed at how things were turning out. "That damn assassin better make good on his promise of getting me the Hero Killers head!" He ranted before glaring at Kurogiri. "Send in a couple of extra Nomus, I want to see those bastards suffer."

Back with Izuku and Gran

Izuku flew through the air as his legs spun and found where Gran was fighting the White Nomu. Abomination kept lashing out its tongue with each swipe being dodged by the veteran Hero. Growling, it suddenly disappeared from view.

"Damn it, it can camouflage itself."

After landing, Izuku was on guard as he and his temporary mentor were on guard. They were back-to-back as they scanned the area for any sudden movements. A loud sound caught their attention as they saw a few rocks the size of a person's torso being thrown at them forcing them to dodge the attack.

Landing to the far right, Izuku only had a split second to react as a wrecked car hurtled towards him. Time seemed to slow as he dove for cover, the vehicle narrowly missing him and soaring overhead. The screech of metal and the roar of the explosion echoed in his ears, a stark reminder of the chaos that surrounded him. The young inheritor felt his ears ringing from the blast as he began to hear things around him. More accurately he was hearing different people's voices around him.

'Ow... ow... focus. Focus! Focus!'

Taking a deep breath, the voices started to become more clear. The voices started becoming clear. Some were thinking about survival while voices were barking evac orders.

While Izuku was focused on the voices, the White Nomu charged at him while it was camouflaged. As it was nearing the young hero, making a swipe with its left arm, the inheritor dodged the strike by instinctively tilting his left head, although its claw did slightly graze him. It then tried to swipe with its right arm aiming for Izuku's head again, only to be met with the same result except he was not grazed.

The abomination growled, its strikes growing faster and more desperate. Each blow was a blur, a testament to its raw power. But Izuku was faster, dodging every attack with most of the blows being close calls but otherwise. Frustrated, the White Nomu unleashed its ultimate weapon: a sticky, web-like tongue. Before the creature could react, Izuku was above it, a blur of green. The Nomu's neck snapped with a sickening crack as it fell to the ground, its lifeless form a stark reminder of the young hero's power.

When Izuku landed, he shook his head and was out of the trance he was in. He looked down at his fist and noticed it wasn't bruised from the powerful blow. "So that was Haki... " Behind him, The Nomu growled and attempted to rush the boy again!

"Kid, keep your head in the game!" Gran cam soaring from above and crushed the Nomu's head with both his feet.

"Right!" Izuku exclaimed he was about to head off, he suddenly went back into the trance he was in from before. He heard the voices again only to find one particular 'voice' that was familiar to him, whispering in his ear. The voice was currently with another presence that had a dangerous edge to it. "Silver-sensei?"

Gran gave his ward an odd look. "Rayleigh is not nea-wait a minute. Did you unlock Observation Haki just now?" he then smirked. "Not bad, kid."

"I think so, Silver-Sensei never mentioned what it felt like. But the bigger issue is that he might be in trouble."

The veteran Hero immediately dropped his smirk and had a stern expression replace it. "Let's go, kid."

"I'll try."

Izuku then began to twist his torso again and after a minute, unwound himself and took off into the air with Gran following him. 'Hope you're right, kid.' Gran thought to himself.

Back with the Search Party

The area around Shoto was still chaotic as Rescue Heroes were putting out the fires caused by the Nomus. Mineta was sent by Mt. Lady to handle crowd control to the north while Shoto himself was guiding people away from the danger. As he was working, he noticed Izuku and Gran soaring in the sky heading west. "Wait, where are they going?" Shoto looked around and noticed that the situation was under control and headed off to where Endeavor was securing the area.

The Flame Hero was organizing rescues on the spot before noticing Shoto. "What is it, Frostburn?"

"Sir, I request permission to follow Gran and Rubberman since the situation here is under control."

"Fine, but report back to me immediately if they don't need assistance."

With a nod Shoto gave chase.

Not a moment later, two more figures jumped from the top of a building and crashed down into the street. They were a pair of Nomus but one looked like it was made out of rock while the other had a chainsaw-like tongue swinging around wildly.

Endeavor scoffed as he knew this was going to be a long night as the monster pair charged him with a war call.

With Rayleigh

"Mistake? What mistake are you talking about?!" glared Stain, pulling out a spare set of knives.

"You warped the very message I wanted Hero Society to learn. Killing people who don't fit the criteria doesn't automatically mean they should die." argued Rayleigh while he kept a sharp eye on his opponent.

Stain gritted his teeth. "Damn it, old man! You wanted the world to be rid of all the false Heroes! They corroded the very word itself for fame and fortune! You said it yourself!"

"And I did, but this is going too far! Nobody is perfect, not even All Might is perfect!

"Then we have nothing more to talk about."

Rayleigh could only sigh at Stain's response. "I guess reasoning is no longer an option."

Rayleigh and Stain were about to clash when a third figure came between them, revealing themselves to be Hikaru. Stain frozen, seeing the man who nearly killed him out of boredom return.

"Oh, you're here, whooo." commented Shiro, perched on a railing above them. "We got a new contract where our client wants your head, whooo."

"There's a day in hell before that happens!" Stain barked, quickly grabbing his discarded sword and puting away his knives. "I won't die until my mission is complete!"

"Whooo, that can be arranged." Shiro commented before turning to Rayleigh. "One chance to back out, old timer. I hate it when I have to get into unnecessary fights when I'm on contract."

"Sorry, but this is something personal I want to handle."

"Suit yourself, whooo."

Hikaru made the first move as he swiped at Stain with a roundhouse kick. Stain held his arm in a high block, keeping his head from being caved in. Rayleigh then jumped in and swung his blade overhead to strike the distracted assassin. Hikaru broke off from Stain as the latter brought his own blade up to block the strike.

"Whooo, we go off to a strong strike as Hikaru makes the first move against the dumbass but the old coot comes swinging!" narrated Shiro, taking out a small microphone.

Rayleigh recovers, swinging the blade around horizontally to block a kick from Hikaru.

"Whooo, you're definitely quicker than you, old timer!"

"Oh, shut up!" snapped Rayleigh while blocking a knife strike from Stain and a haymaker from Hikaru. The Assassin did a snap kick, Rayleigh swept his leg, and head-butthead Stain.

Hikaru recovered quickly and tried slamming his knee into Rayleigh but the old man used the dazed Stain as a human shield, resulting in the assassin slamming his knee into the Hero Killer's back.

"Gahh!" yelped Stain. Hikaru grabbed the Hero Killer by the collarbone and threw him like a rag doll. Rayleigh then grabbed Hikaru and held him in a guillotine choke, forcing him to let go of Stain. The assassin struggled and kept elbowing Rayleigh in hopes he would let him go. After a few strikes, Hikaru lifted one of his legs to kick Rayleigh in the nose.

Rayleigh felt blood dripping from the blow but he wiped it away before Hikaru unleashed a flurry of punches which staggered him. But the old-timer stood his ground as he dodged the blows and he struck the assassin with an uppercut, making Hikaru gag blood.

Stain looked up and noticed some blood was on the ground near him, he quickly took the opportunity out and licked the blood with his long tongue. Hikaru froze on the spot and couldn't move a muscle.

Seeing that one opponent is down, Stain got up and charged Rayleigh with his sword in hand. Rayleigh blocked the strike with his own sword, causing them both to be in a blade lock. They struggled before Rayleigh coated his blade in Haki and shattered Stains's sword.

"I told you, Stain. I don't want to do this." Rayleigh stated as he kept his eyes locked with his former ally.

"Neither do I, old man." Stain took out his knives and licked it.

Rayleigh soon felt his body freeze as soon as Stain licked the blade. 'Damn it, he must have nicked me when I blocked his knife strike from before.' he thought.

"I don't have any regrets attacking fakes, old man. But this one, this will be a bitter pill to swallow." Stain was ready to end the fight by stabbing Rayleigh when suddenly an outstretched fist punched him in the face.

"Silver-sensei, we're here!" shouted a familiar voice as Izuku flew onto the scene and landed on the ground, followed by Gran landing next to him.

"We are here!"

Rayleigh smirked as he saw the back up. "Good work kid but be careful. A wounded animal is at its most dangerous."
