- Morning !
After a long restless night, I had fallen asleep.
Thyme hadn't come back yet, and I hadn't met any new cat.
I stretched in my small nest.
My stomach felt much better, no longer making me feel like I was slowly being eaten on the inside.
My face still hurt, occasionally sending out sharp pangs, but overall, it wasn't too bad.
But for all I know, the herbs were covering the true pain.
Pawsteps made me prick my ears and lift my head up.
A black cat walked towards me.
Thyme.
As he approached my nest, I couldn't help but notice the troubled expression clouding his eyes.
"Hello!"
He greeted, his voice filled with layers of happiness, despite the sad twinkle in his eyes.
I didn't ask what had happened.
I wouldn't want to explain everything to him.
And so far, he hadn't asked what happened to me at all.
I liked that.
"Hi! Are you going to introduce me to everyone today?"
I questioned hopefully.
If these other cats were as nice as Thyme, I would enjoy staying here.
I tried not to think about what would happen if I wasn't allowed to stay here.
"Of course…. I could get them now if you want!'
Thyme's face lit up, and he bounded away.
I impatiently began to swish my tail back and forth.
My mother, Shiningscale, always told me that I probably couldn't wait for a cat that was gone for a heartbeat.
A tear slid out of my eye as the thought of my mother.
Be strong Ivykit.
Don't think about them.
You ran away, it was your choice.
I shook my head.
"I'm back!"
Thyme hollered, a smile finally had worked its way onto his mouth.
Behind him, a few cats lingered.
"Now. I will introduce you to us all!"
He chirped, falling back to join the others.
"You already know that I'm Thyme."
He clarified, then pointed to the cat next to him with a sharp movement of his tail.
"This here is Meadow."
A white she dipped her head.
I examined her.
She seemed… young and eager.
Probably a sweet nice cat.
"This is Patches."
Thyme dipped his head to an irritated looked tom.
I had the feeling that he didn't want to be here.
"And last but not least, Izzy!"
A brown she pricked her ears, but kept her head down,
I couldn't examine her, for Thyme dismissed them.
"Not many cats work here."
I mused, as Thyme approached.
"Yes, though we don't get too many cats here, so we have enough."
He beamed back at his fellow 'healers'.
"Now, I can't stay here all day. Do you need anything before I go?"
Thyme asked impatiently.
"No. I'm fine. Could I wander around for a bit?"
The black tom considered this, then nodded his head.
Without a second thought I pranced away.
But I didn't miss the upset look that returned to his eyes the instant her turned around.
I pretended I didn't notice anything, and instead leapt out of my nest.
It felt weird to have all four paws on the floor.
It had been at least 2 sunrises since I walked.
Confidently, I strode forwards.
Immediately, I tripped over someone.
"Ack! Sorry!"
I scrambled to my paws.
Examining who had been tipped over, I realized it was Patches.
"Watch where your going next time."
He responded gruffly, lashing his tail and moving away.
Rude.
I continued my exploration.
It seemed mostly like a dull, boring place.
A few nests were messily scattered here and there, injured or sick cats lying in them.
Overall, the best part was the outside area.
I didn't realize how much I had missed the feel of the wind in my fur.
The grass was soft and lush.
And the smell, just the smell of the forest beyond, was wonderful.
The smell of your home.
Could I just run away, back to my home?
Nothing separated me from WindClan.
I could just go back.
Besides, my apprentice ceremony would've been in 2 sunrises.
But then again, could I really leave this place?
No.
Everything was so hard!
I was only a kit, and I was already having to choose between two places.
Oh why couldn't everything be easier?
I couldn't bare to be outside anymore, and sulked inside.
Ignoring everyone's searching gazes, I slumped back into my nest.
I jumped back out as soon as I heard the scream.
pov switch! :)
very short :P
Rosy's pov!
Where was my stupid brother?
He hadn't come back for a whole day.
I was annoyed… maybe a bit scared.
Hurricane never spent this long away from camp.
"Seriously. I've never seen you so anxious before… I didn't really realize ya cared 'bout Hurricane anyways."
Trixie pulled up beside me, her usual monotone voice at its greatest.
"Sorry for caring about my brother?"
Trixie let out a chuckle.
"Oh Rosy…."
She sighed, and moved away, leaving me to roll my eyes.
Trixie didn't know anything… she just was just trying to be smart.
My fur immediately bushed up as a whirl of gray rushed past me.
"HURRICANE!"
I yelled, causing the cat to sheepishly turn to face me.
"Uhhh…. I was out hunting?"
He looked down at his paws.
Exasperated, I hissed at him.
"Honestly! You weren't! Stop lying, and tell me what is going on!"My eyes glittering with defiance, I unsheathed my claws.
I wasn't going to hurt him…
Just show him that he shouldn't be late again.
"... I wasn't doing anything expect for hunting!"
He insisted.
"Sure."
I flicked my tail and stomped away.
My brother was so bad at acting.
Honestly what was wrong?
he he. Told ya it would be short.
I PROMISE A LONGER CHAPTER NEXT TIMEEEE.
I mean, it's better than nothing…
review on what pov ya want to see next!
