IMDAMOONLARK: Yay! I'm not the only one! In answer to your question… *gets out phone* *listens to every song again* *makes pros cons list* *decides* I guess… if I had to choose one… "Keep Your Friends Close". BUT IT'S SO HARD.
I'm going to make the demigods tell the story for a bit. To know what they're really thinking.
Percy:
Percy sat up rubbing his head. He had probably fallen on it when he had passed out. The elves - wait. Where were they?
He looked around. This wasn't the ornate palace throne room looking place anymore. It was still absurdly fancy, but he and the rest of his friends were in a new room. The walls were pale blue crystal, and fluffy shapes like clouds danced around the walls. His friends were lying in beds just like his, king-sized with pastel coloring. All together it looked quite nice.
Arrrgh. He shook his head, the elves were not being kind. As if the room could tell what he was thinking, a platter of the most delicious looking food he'd ever seen before appeared. It was even blue.
Aroused by the scents wafting around the room, Piper, Annabeth, and Leo stretched and yawned.
"By the gods that smells good. What is i-" Annabeth shook her head at Piper and scanned the room, probably looking for cameras or something else that could record them. Presumably seeing nothing she nodded, letting Piper continue. "As I was saying, what is that?"
On a platter at the center of the room was an array of strange looking foods, a tower of little stuffed crackers, a gooey cake, four bowls of stew with flowers in it, and a pitcher of what looked like red lemonade. The only not blue thing at the table.
All of it smelled amazing and it took Percy a few seconds to realize he was moving towards the food. He stopped and looked at Annabeth. "Is it safe to eat?"
Annabeth hesitated. Percy could tell the scent was getting to her too, but her mind won over, as it always did, "No. These people are dangerous. We can't trust them."
As if they heard her, the door creaked open and the blonde 'elf' stepped in.
Leo:
When the girl/elf came in, all Leo could think was, wow. Who were these people? How were they so amazing and beautiful? Then he almost laughed, Calypso would throw him into tartarus if she heard him think that. "Hi. Umm… so… any questions?" She said in a high, sort of musical voice. He wondered if she was as good at singing as Calypso.
Then the room exploded. Not literally. But his eardrums probably did. But the girl in the doorway just stood there and waited for them to shut up. As if by unspoken agreement they all let Annabeth go first, "Who are you?"
"Elves."
"Yeah, you said that but what are elves?"
"Basically partially Immortal humans who have gotten rid of poverty, hunger, and human forms of discrimination. They, I mean we, still have plenty of our own unique problems though."
Leo couldn't help himself. "Like being too hot?" He raised his eyebrows at her.
She blushed, "No. Stuff like- Actually I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell you."
Annabeth crossed her arms and tilted her head a little as she spoke, "Then what was the point of asking, 'Any questions'?"
The girl tugged out an eyelash, "We just wanted you to feel more comfortable and like you're not prisoners."
"How about telling us your names then?"
"Just one second." She quickly left the room but kept the door open. But before any of them could make a break for it, she came back. "Come with me."
Leo didn't know what he was expecting, chains, guards, to be knocked out. But he was not expecting a see-through crystal hallway made to make the sky look like it was always sunset, leading to a spiral staircase with a glittering pale pink chandelier. Through a few windows, Leo could see a perfect teal sea, long yellow-green grass and… animal enclosures? But the animals inside were all either mythical or extinct. Before he had a chance to think about it further- really Leo was not used to thinking so much-they were in a living room just a tiny bit less fancy than the last one at the house where they were knocked out.
The thought brought him back to reality. These people were just a different kind of monster. One he needed to protect his friends against. He couldn't lose focus surrounded by these enchanting beauties.
"So. Introductions. Umm… I'm Sophie." Sophie pointed to a tall blonde guy who smirks at them, "That's Keefe," She points to two people who seem to be brother and sister, "Biana and Fitz." The introductions went on and on and Leo had no idea how he could keep track of them all, but somehow he did.
"Now just one last thing," Annabeth said when the elves had all finished, "What's this about taking us to the council?"
This time one of the adults spoke up, "If a human appears in the lost cities, they are supposed to be taken in for a tribunal, a trial, and they will tell the council how they found this place. Then they will have their memories erased." A moment of total silence. Then pandemonium.
