Nya woke with a start, lurching up and breathing heavily, energy coursing through her body. The first thing she noticed was that she was wrapped in Jay's dark blue kimono. In a panic, she peeled the soaking wet fabric apart, staring at her torso where Morro's blade had sliced her open. But all that was left, below the pendant now safely around her neck, with the blood washed away, was a large red scar, still throbbing but definitely healed.
"Pretty neat isn't it?" Jay said. Nya looked up suddenly, closing his robe around herself. They were sitting on a rock ledge that jutted out above the rushing stream, like a platform from the right side of the ravine. A thin film of cool water ran across the stone. The last thing Nya could remember was breaking the fall to the ravine and willing the water to save them.
"It-it's brilliant," Nya said with a smile, feeling her power flow through her. Jay was sitting cross-legged across from her, dressed in a simple white singlet, drenched wet and hugging his body so she could clearly see his toned torso and his powerful arms. His muscles rippled and glistened. When she looked up, she could see Jay looking carefully at her, his deep, warm brown eyes glinting with knowing humour. Nya's cheeks warmed instantly as she quickly looked away, staring at the rushing water and running her hand through her soggy black hair.
"You came back for me," Nya murmured.
"Of course! I could never leave you, Nya," Jay said as he leant forward. "Look what I found rushing down the stream," He said, opening his hand and revealing a ring, with a blood-red gem set onto the golden metal. He gently picked up her right hand and slipped the ring on her slender finger. A sigh escaped Nya's lips as more energy flowed through her battered body. She watched as the large scar slowly faded, the pain ebbing away.
"Thank you," Nya said. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jay." Then, almost as an afterthought, "I love you, I love you so so much, and I know I can trust you" " she said, smiling as their eyes met.
With her body brimming with energy, Nya stood up, looking out at the ravine. How were they going to get out of there? Her thoughts were then interrupted when she felt a strong arm wrap around her waist from behind. And Jay said in her ear, "I love you too, Nya." His warm breath on her cheek and his strong arm around her waist made Nya's heart thump loudly, beating, beating, beating in her chest as his warm, strong form wrapped around her. She could feel his smile as she twisted her head to look up at him. She couldn't resist it. She needed it. She twisted around and reached up with both hands, wrapping them around his neck and kissed him then.
Their lips met, strong and fast. Where his lips touched hers, warmth spread through her body. The kiss was all teeth and lips and clever tongue – messy and hungry and even more intoxicating than she remembered. Jay groaned deep in his throat and wasted no time turning her closer, snaking both arms around her waist. Using his strong arms, he hoisted her up and spun her around, never breaking the yearning, delicious kiss that said everything they could ever say, all without words. He pinned her to the rock wall that was beside them. The feel of him hard and ready against her core made Nya tear away from their kiss and throw her head back in a breathy gasp. Jay didn't mind. His teeth nipped her earlobe before his mouth blazed a trail down her neck and over her collarbone, pausing here and there to mark her. Nya didn't mind. With their heart pounding and her body burning, Nya could barely form a cohesive thought as her breathing quickened and her tights got just a little bit wetter.
She cradled his head close as he descended to the exposed curve of a full, peaked breast. Then, as if he had suddenly changed his mind, he had stood up straight again, locking his lips with hers and planting his hands on the rock on either side of her. Nya tilted her head, deepening the kiss and closing her eyes, the feel of his body against hers and the hard wall against her back had her moaning into his mouth. She blindly fumbled with the knotted fabric that kept his pants up as he pushed his robe off her shoulders, letting the fabric brush against her burning, thrumming, naked body. The robe landed with a thump on the ground. Jay's pants fell to his feet, and only then did they break their kiss, allowing Nya to pull the wet singlet off his strong, toned body as he squatted down, trailing his lips down her chest and making Nya arch her back with a groan as waves of pleasure flowed through her. Then he finished at her crotch, where he peeled off the tights that clung to her throbbing, shaking thighs. Then he stood up, fixing her with those beautiful brown eyes, his hands on her hips. Nya spread her fingers over his chest, wet from the ravine but strong and filled with a steady beat and rhythmic breaths. Together, they descended into oblivion.
The wall held steady behind their tangled, sweaty bodies. The smell of water and stone filled her nose, but most of all him. The tang of salty sweat and masculinity filled her senses in a way that made her arch her back beneath him as her head swam in ecstasy and long, drawn-out groans flowed from her lips. Never before had she reached such a state with anyone. And with each passing moment, she hoped it would never be with anyone but Jay. Her Jay. Her lover.
The master of lightning hit a particular spot where a bundle of nerves lay, sending tingles up her spine and to her heart that beat in a rhythm that was only matched by his.
The sound of their ragged breaths filled her ears, along with the euphoric slap of skin.
His hands, rough and calloused, were warm to the touch as he slid them up the back of her shaking thighs, hooking her legs around his waist, never breaking but deepening his fast, rhythmic thrusts. Nya clung on with her legs, his bobbing, downturned head brushing against her sensitive, bobbing chest repeatedly.
Nya grasped his tousled, brown hair, damp from sweat and water, in her strong fists as she felt his mouth consume one of her breasts. His tongue swirled, and his teeth nipped at the naked skin, causing her to mewl and groan and gasp his name out in a daze of passion.
Too soon did they reach their climax. It was an explosion of names and release and fullness. Lightning exploded from Jay's hands, sending delicious shocks through her system just as water burst from Nya's hands, which were still buried in his hair, sending rivulets of water down his heaving body. She grabbed at his arms; the biceps and triceps were as hard as rock beneath her slim fingers. She didn't want him to pull out just yet. He stayed, balancing his weight between his elbows and knees, head on the crook of her neck, pressing her against the cool, wet stone. They stayed that way for a few moments, basking in each other's heat and comfort, not wanting to break their bond, until he pulled out slowly with a moan of his lips and a gasp of pleasure from hers.
Carefully, he lowered her to the cool, wet ground and instantly flopped over beside her, their panting breaths matched. Nya's heart thumped wildly, her thighs ached, but she was brimming with warmth and comfort and energy, a smile on her lips. She turned her head to the side, seeing Jay running his hands through his hair.
"I'm lucky I still have any hair left," Jay said with a breathy laugh. Nya's cheeks warmed as she saw herself gripping onto his hair with all her strength, lost in the throes of passion.
"Well, you zapped me!" Nya said defensively.
Jay laughed. "Okay, okay, that's fair."
Then, there were a few more seconds of silence before, with a groan, Jay sat up, reaching with one hand for his pants which were discarded in a pile nearby as his other rubbed his shoulders.
"Gosh, this water's chilly. You Cold?"
Nya, who was still lying stark naked on the rock, was, in fact, feeling the coolness of the water. But within, she definitely wasn't. For the past months, she had been haunted by Morro. The terrible cold and the visions and the doubt. The fear that she was possessed, or evil or something worse. But now, feeling within, all Nya could sense was warmth, love and trust. Trust in Jay who loved her. The biting cold was gone.
"No," Nya said with a smile, looking up at her Jay. "No, I'm not cold at all."
