31. Chapter 25: Life Fulfilled

Chapter 25

Life fulfilled.

Only but a few days ago, incidents of buildings getting raided and destroyed in Lowee was all over the news, as was the great destruction of Zerof village…And the instant rebuilding of Zerof village. This night, it will all come to an end. Six shadows loom over the city, jumping from one roof over to the other. We soar over the skies to our destination.

I am the leader of the Phantom Crusaders, Bios. Dull blue eyes and brown hair, wearing a mixture between a gothic dress and a biker outfit, my mask being a black pointy one with no real details. Next to me was a guy with armor and green garbs, a master of all threads. The Silicon Knight. His mask was a knight-like vizor. His real name is barely used.

On my right I have the one that copies all moves, Acclaim. Metal arms, grey-ish skin, wearing a grey overcoat. His mask resembling a wise monkey that can learn anything. Code Name: Claimer.

Next to Acclaim was a young girl. Despite her inexperience, she is a mage with endless potential. With powerful magic, she can burn down anything. Her name is Theresa, wearing a white witch hat and robe with red accents. Her mask was that of a lion's. Her hair blond and her eyes red, whenever she casts magic, she has small stars in her eyes, which has been the case since after the treasure hunt. Codename: Lion.

Next to Silicon Knight is Dragonette. A daughter of once Master of all Ninja. Having abandoned the ninja to become an adventurer, she fights with martial arts and her Naginata combined with wind magic and a few ninja techniques. Purple hair in a pony-tail and purple garb that looked like a Chinese dress alongside wearing silver accessories. Codenames: Acquire, Dragon.

Next to her was a scientist inside a mecha. Short stature, darker skin and purple hair in twin-tails. She wears a lab coat over her sailor-uniform. Her mecha is a round machine with an open cockpit isolated by an energy field. She is an inventor of graphics cards and robots. Dr. "Evo" Seggsman. Codename: 3Dfx.

Together, we are the Phantom Crusaders. Some call us crime fighters, vigilantes, heroes or even terrorist. Our one sole goal is to rid Lowee of its shadow. And as of now, only one ruler exists.
Our entire party is level 99. And our guild rank is S.
This mission is our last one. After this, Lowee should be free once more. We are heading for Avenir's HQ!

We stand at the edge of the capital city.
"Out in the far reaches of the snowfield is a lone military base that is actually their HQ. It is a building that looks like a mansion with one large square wall around it. There are two entrances to long hallways with many facilities all the way to the main part of the building. It may be out in the middle of nowhere, but I can't promise there won't be outside interference.", Evo tells us.

"The plan is as follows. They are expecting us for certain. Evo can stop any outside mecha and soldiers from reinforcing the ones inside the building. She may even hold off any Lowee special forces. Whether or not Lowee comes for us, the enemies in this mission are weak. They do not have a machine as capable as any monster or robot we have fought the past four months. Since this will be quick and over with, we have nothing to worry about regarding officials. I will charge in and face everyone head on outside. I will draw in their attention, that is when you five sneak into the building and destroy everything important. Steal their Share Crystals, and burn their blueprints and plans.", I inform them.

"So, we really are having an easy one for the final mission. I am glad…But also a bit disappointed.", Sili-san says.
"There has to be something fun to fight inside, right?", Dragonette says, pumping herself up.
"The difficulty matters not. I will complete the assignment however you wish, Leader.", Acclaim says.
Theresa looks dismayed. She looks at us and then back down.
"Will you be alright, Lion?", I ask her.
"You will really be gone…When we're done, right…? I know it's better to have it easy…But I wish our mission would last a bit longer.", she says, clutching her staff.

"You guys will be together. I am sure of it. So don't feel lonely. No matter how far apart we are, we stay as friends.", I say.
She looks at me and thinks about what I said. She just gives me a nod and looks forward.
"We're all ready then? Leader will blow up the front door, from there my units will surround the outside away from the location itself. Once everyone is fighting Leader, we sneak into the two long wings.", Evo says. We all nod.
"Alright. I'll get to it.", I say, using Light Step to cover a large distance. Now I sprint.

I follow Evo's directions and finally see the base. It is covered in a snow-storm, but with my control over snow, I can stop the blizzard itself to properly see and cover myself instead. On top of the walls were plenty of guards looking at the approaching bundle of snow with suspicion. With Yukishihai, I do sword thrusts that creates shockwaves through the snow, punching these guards off the wall. I gather light into my sword.

"UnionStar Light Slash!", I shout, blowing the large two metal doors open, they fly into the sky, as did some soldiers that were standing nearby. Alarms go off and spotlights are on me as I walk into the courtyard.
"It's the leader of the Phantom Crusaders! This is not a drill! It's the Switcher!", comes from an intercom.
I hate that nickname.

The corner of every wall has a large watch tower with gatling guns, now all aimed at me. I avoid the first wave of bullets with Light Step, now I run around, gathering snow around them with Yukishihai before turning it into light that I blast into the watch towers. I run around, dodging bullets and explosives, eventually, I learn to catch them into the snow. Snow is gathered all over the enemies, with one wide swing of my sword, powerful shockwaves throws them into the air.

More and more mercenaries come out. Some of them were actual warriors, even then, their levels likely didn't succeed beyond thirty, even the elite are fifty at best. I Light Step towards them and with my sword alit, I sling them all over the place. I can sense whoever is coming to me, my attacks are powerful enough to knock out weaklings without direct contact, and now snow shockwaves and cuts are added on top of that. I make sure to give them a bigger scare as I jump in the air and sent many sky bound as I blast the ground with another "UnionStar Light Slash!"

A lot more soldiers run out into the courtyard and on top of the wall. I grab ahold of them with snow, the snow becoming thick enough to carry them into the air. I throw them into other soldiers. Over my head flies a bunch of aircrafts. I dodge cannon and bullet fire with ease. The missiles they sent crash into each other as I use the snow around them to mess their trajectory. Tanks roll up to me, but their shells are no harder to dodge.

I use Snow Air Cutter to cut the planes above me in half. The row of tanks north of me I cut horizontally in half with a single long air cut as I duck under their shells. I cast explosion off my feet to dodge the few thanks that are to my side. I gather snow around their muzzles and cut them off after turning said snow into light.

Tank by tank, I destroy each one of them. A larger panzer with two muzzles charges straight at me, perhaps thinking if the cannons won't hit me, it will by itself. I jump over its with my blade revved up with light and destroy it with a large blade of light enveloping it. As I land, it combusts into a large pillar of flame behind me. Now a big black Mecha almost as tall as these walls approaches me. It was round and bulky, it had large thrusters for wings. It flies over to me with its legs that had tire-tracks around them.

It shot this powerful gatling gun, but nothing I can't stop. It did no different than the panzer and came straight for me, albeit, it was much faster. It tries to punch me, it arm surrounded by a hot energy, and yet, I front flip over it, place my hand on its punching arm, and use reflection to get behind it at light speed. I do massive damage to it with one blade of Light as I fall down, but that doesn't kill it. It was ready to do a massive leap punch, but I Light Stepped right towards it and physically smash my blade engulfed with light into it, eliminating it.

Now, all around me fly Mecha. Hundreds of small drones, dozens of larger mecha, and a few of those black bulky machines. They weren't all the same, there was some variety. I grab a second blade. With two swords of light, I stand ready to destroy all of them. Many shoot at me with every kind of weapon imaginable, a lot of others fly or ride my way at high speeds. I easily leap away from explosions and weave bullets as I head towards a group of droids, spinning around with my two blades, I unleash a massive attacks that destroys a subset amount of them. I run around, slowly destroying the machines that fly my way, and the large mecha I dance around as I tear them apart.

… I hear something from my communication device.
"What the hell is this…?"
"Report! Our men are…They are…Stuck in spider webs!"
"What the shizzles are you blabbering about?!"
Followed by screams.
"Sili-san, your communications are on.", I say.
"Whoops, my bad!", Sili-san says back in the communicator.

I smile. I take a bite from a donut I brought along with me. What a show off.
He had it on by no mistake, letting me know he has been capturing soldiers inside the building. I had snuck on top of a large mecha that is flying in the air. I am eating a donut as I sit on its shoulder listening to the communications of my friends. But it had enough of me and tries to punch me off, so I eject myself off the shoulder and blast it apart with a Light Slash. I cut a few more as I drop down onto the ground. Explosions go off in the long buildings connected to the main mansion-looking building. My left and right has large smoke clouds coming out the sizzling flames.

I turn a lot of snow into patches of light that I blast the weaker droids with. I dance around the large mechas, dicing them with blades of light.
"Emergency! The buildings are compromised! All personal are to flee!"
"Report! A large guy and some small entity on his shoulder spotted in the right wing, they caused the fire and are heading for the facto-AAAAH!"
"Well, Leader. I am happy to say Dragonette has reached the main building and is deactivating the traps. I am assisting Sili-san, seems each part of the building has its own special machine unit. They are a bit stronger.", Evo tells me through the communication device.

The robots around me lie trashed on the ground, in pieces, burning, smoking. At this point, every machine and soldier outside has been defeated. But in front of the mansion is this shutter. Military-grade vehicles and mecha come out of them. They open once more.
"Leader of the Phantom Crusaders. I welcome you to our HQ. Destroy as much as you like, we have everything prepared. This machine is made specifically to kill Goddesses. Now that you are alone, you won't be able to escape them.", A voice sounded through the intercom. It didn't sound like Ganache, but an older crankier voice.

A machine comes out of it. I have seen it in documents before. A CPU Breaker. It has a Jamming system to stop Goddesses from transforming and can insert viruses into them. But I don't need to transform. It is pretty tough, but my level is way higher, and my strength training would allow me to defeat it eventually regardless.
It was a bipedal mecha with large wings that come from behind its waste. Its base color is a grey-ish white with golden and blue accents. Its forearms were blue and it had this yellow blade-things sticking out from beneath the lower arms. Its thighs were aggressively curved 90 degrees with its legs being diamond shaped. Its head looked like that of a a demon's. It had some kind of light blue horn on top of its head.

Despite its size, it quickly moved my way. I have to put in my full strength to dodge its blades. I move around it to blast it with light, but this one is a lot tougher, so that won't instantly kill it. It casts High Explosion magic that I have to avoid, and it almost tricks me into jumping in front of it as it uses to cut me with magical wind attacks. When he blew me back, he tried to inject me with a virus with the yellow blade, but I push his blade to my left and move past him.

Screens appear all over the walls. I guess they have screens mounted for certain events or for their leaders to communicate. For now, they show footage of security cameras.
Acclaim and Theresa were fighting some kind of robot spider, on the other end, Evo and Sili-san are battling a flying can-like machine with floating arms that had various weapons. It had a wheel with wing-blades on them that can spread out and float to shoot lasers.

The spider can jump around rather quickly and uses lightning attacks alongside silk-threads. But in the end, Theresa burned most of those threads with flames, and Acclaim knows Sili-san's more advanced thread techniques. He wraps the large spider up and smashes it down with Theresa impaling it to the ground with a giant ice pike, then she casts explosion within the pike the shatter a bunch of icicles on top of the spider machine, and the two finish it off with a dual lightning strike.

Sili-san stops the flying machine's movements whilst Evo protects him from projectiles. He uses Red String to carve out the wall's highly protective metal, bending them into spears with explosives laid into them by Evo. He flings the explosive spears into the flying security machine to blow up its armor, now Evo finishes it off by diving down onto it with her fists drilling against it.

"The security bots are destroyed. Warning. Warning. Evacuation of all organisms is advised.", an alarm sounds out. But Sili-san and Acclaim are already busy blocking all entrances with string. They had actually been fighting those security bots for a while, I am stuck with this CPU Breaker. He's not too hard, but it is able to take many of my hits and is rather quick. A shockwave comes from us swinging our blades into each other from our shoulders with all of our strength, blowing the snow away.

I block a stab from it with one blade, while I shoot the light off of my other sword into its face. It unleashes a heavy gust that pushes me back, then I jump over its slashes that it combined with High Explosion, over his head I blast him with a Light Slash, once I landed behind him, I tried to cut him, only for him to fly into the sky. Shooting wind slashes and explosion down at me. I skirt over the battlefield finding a good place to launch myself.

The snow around this mecha turns to light and blasts him from virtually every direction, forcing him to fly in a specific location where I choose to launch myself. I fly into him with one blade, it blocks my sword of light as it is bursting into energy. I cast explosion from my feet to move over the machine. Together with gathered light from snow, I throw the machine down with a mighty strike. The CPU Breaker shoots me back in return with High Explosives, but with me guarding myself, it does little damage. I land down on the ground after it.

I let my two swords burst with light and say, "Let's end this…"
I move towards him shouting, "EXE Drive Skill!" After slashing into him dozens of times, I raise him up with jumping spin slashes, eventually, I'll smash him down onto the ground with both swords. My rotations revved up my blades with light before I combined them. Now, I drop down with one vertical swing as I shout, "FusionStar Helios Slash!", the lights tearing the machine apart, after a hole was created inside the machine, its innards are combusting until it finally breaks in a few larger pieces.

Everything outside has been destroyed. Acclaim and Sili-san have blocked out all exits inside the mansion, Theresa has destroyed every escape vehicle and defense mechanism that was stored inside. Evo let Dragonette lead the charge to the room Ganache and Signe were in, she stays behind so she could record and stream the video to my phone. She made sure to set it up beforehand knowing I would be a bit confused on how to turn the stream on. I open my phone as I sit on the wreckage of some mecha.

Dragonette has barged into a door, the red carpets lead to anything but a homely room. This room was in front of a large glass pane looking out to some chamber for machinery. It was a computer or control room. Signe and Ganache turned around.
"Who goes there?!", Ganache asks.
"Hmph…So this is the form of the Phantom Crusaders. Ganache…Deal with it.", Signe says.
"They are a barbaric bunch. You should be careful they don't sneak around and kill you.", Ganache replies.

"Oh don't worry. I will see to it your ends will be anything but quiet.", Dragonette points at them as she speaks confidently.
"I see. You didn't exaggerate. It's come to this. Activate protocol 66.", Signe says.
"But sir…No. You are right. I know first hand their danger.", Ganache says. Dragonette runs in, only to be forced to jump back as a machine drops out of the air.
"I won't let you through!", Ganache says, as he enters this mecha that is stuck to the wall. It is one large sky-blue mecha that is only a wide torso with a dark blue left arm and a bright red right arm.

"Dragonette. That mecha behind the glass plane…. I assume it is part of their Plan D and E projects. We must destroy that one at all cost.", Evo says.
"You got it.", Dragonette says.
She runs forward, laser beams shot at her, but what she really needs to look out for are those lasers bouncing around the room. They forced her to stick low to the ground, even doing a rotations as she crouches or stretches out, and then she jumps right after. But she manages to get close and stab the mecha with her Naginata, albeit, it didn't do too much damage.

It is surely made of nintendium. She tries to stop a swing of its left arm, she cringes for some reason. She jumps over a punch from the red arm, but as she stabs her Naginata into the arm, a flame is burning her. She jumps towards the main body again, but her staying to close allows Ganache to activate this function that charges energy into the front and blow Dragonette back with an energy field. Being placed back quite a distance, she shoots wind blades at him, doing okay damage.

Out of the left arm, Ganache shoots a swath of fire. Evo moved in front of Dragonette to block it all for her. Dragonette jumps on top of her after. Evo could barely elevate herself backwards before getting hit my a wave of ice from the other arm, which Dragonette dodges, attacking the main body again with storming winds turned into a sphere on her spear. She lets herself get hit by an ice attack to absorb the ice and strike back with a slash that shoots large ice spears into the mecha.

The mecha combines its fire and ice from its arms to create a white orb. Dragonette could barely get out in time as it explodes in the middle of the room, leaving a large hole in the floor.
"That attack could destroy everything in this room…", Dragonette says out loud. I see the camera switch to Signe, who was frantically using the computer. Evo dries to blast him with explosives, but the Mecha being driven by Ganache acts as a wall of energy that blocks every attack.

I can hear Evo type as hard as possible. Perhaps she is hacking to stop whatever Signe is doing. While Dragonette fights the mecha, Evo is busy doing hacking work. She now talks to me, "Leader. You should know this. Signe is trying to download the blueprints and plans of everything. I must delete everything before he can. But we don't have much time. Hehe...You see… our blockade has been broken through. I don't know by what, I didn't have the time to see the event take place. But all my units are destroyed!"

"I understand. I will tell you when to flee. Defeat his Mecha as fast as possible.", I say.
I talk to Theresa, "Prepare to teleport out of here. We may have to leave soon."
"I got it…Leader.", Theresa replies.
Dragonette had activated Tornado Armor, now she can block the arm swings without taking damage. She blows through flames and shatters ice as she gets close to attack him. Now she activates her EXE Drive.

It is an altered version, the dragon spins around in the room with Dragonette jumping around to slash the mecha over and over again, letting the dragon assimilate with the naginata as it flies around in the room whilst she unleashes a fury of punches until finally jumping all the way back in the room to launch herself off z wall whilst punching the Naginata into the mecha. Ganache thrusts her back once again with a burst of energy as the mecha does a thrust of its gut.

He creates another orb of white from his combined energy, but this time, it explodes and shoots out a bunch of magic rays. It almost hits Dragonette's head, if it weren't for the fact she moved her neck. She moves into the rays of light, they sometimes stay in orb form to float to different directions before bursting into lasers. Almost getting hit by many of them, she dances around the field. She dodges one with an aggressive heal turn, then bends over backwards before doing a back-flip jump.

Once close, she barely dodges a laser by leaning to her right, stabbing her spear into the mecha, this time, she keeps pushing on it…No? She is carving her blade through it. She finally got hit back again, but she shouts, "It's done!" I see, together with her EXE Drive Skill, she was trying to carve a hole into the mecha.
"Fatal Fist!", Evo shouts, now being able to drill a hole through the mecha, reaching the more dangerous mecha beyond the glass and destroying it before it could activate.
"No…", Signe looks troubled at the broken mecha.
"Warning…Warning…Energy lost.", an alarm system rang out as Ganache's mecha becomes limp.

"NO! NO! DAMN IT!", he shouts. Signe turns around, panicked, but regardless, Dragonette punches him in the gut, bending his spine. Then she kicks him in the face with a spin kick, sending him to the floor.
"Alright! Now I can delete all of their works!", Evo declares.
I take a sight of relief as I look up in the air.
It's finally done…Wait…That thing flying in the air…

My heart raises as I see Dragonette trying to get Ganache out of the mecha.
"Don't bother with those two! Evo, if you have everything deleted, they can't do much more anyway. You have to leave. Now! Tell the others.", I say.
"I have gotten everything…But are you sure?", Evo asks.
"Yeah, I can get them roughed up rather quickly.", Dragonette says.
"White Heart is close! I'll hold her off! You need to run!", I say.
"But Le-", I couldn't hear the rest, I dodged an axe that was flung at me. It is stabbed into the ground, cracking it.

As she flies down, I crush my phone and all communication devices.
Big sis…No…White Heart floats down from above the axe. As she gets down, she says, "I finally found you. Are you the leader of the Phantom Crusaders?!"
I see…So this is it.
With a heavy heart, I grab my sword. I reply, "Was…Our task is done. And I am no longer affiliated."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?! Be clear, idiot! What are you guys doing here?! Why have you destroyed this location! What is your goal!", she shouts.

"…The Phantom Crusaders were enemies of Avenir… All their plans have been destroyed.", I say.
"I don't know what is happening. I have no idea if you have a reason for this. But you and your friends have caused much trouble! So tell me, what was it all for?!", she demands answers.
"…It's over…White Heart. I am not longer part of their group. Their goal was their own. My goal is different from them now.", I say.
"What was that?!", she asks angrily.

I point my blade at her, which feels painful to me. I get goosebumps. An odd mixture of sadness and excitement comes in.
I tell her, "I am your enemy. If you don't fight me at your best, you may die."
"Nothing you say made any damn sense…But you know what. That does make it easier! I'll just beat the crap out of you until your mouth actually gives me some freaking answers!", she replies.

Snow is shot in the air as she flies my way, I use Light Step to get dozens of meters away, she swings her axe in the air instead. She looks perplexed for a second, but quickly turns her eyes to me. I use Light Step again, wanting to see if she could follow me. In her transformed state, she should at least be able to reach Mach 2, about as fast as my Light Step. She does follow me and almost crushed me under her axe. Within her next swing, I duck as I hop under her axe, next to her feet, then I move away with light Step again.

She is the type to charge in and take damage to attack, she is the slowest Goddess. She can reach me and almost hit me, only barely missing. Eventually, she uses an SP skill.
"Gefahrlichtern!", she says after making some bullets of ice in the air, she smashes her hammer into them that makes them fly at speed beyond the human eye. I thought I had dodged it, but my knee got hit, making me do a roll as I land with the back of my neck on the ground. I immediately got away from more ice bullets. But within my next Light Step, I had to cover myself as more bullets came my way.

She's flying straight up to me now, ready to smack me with her hammer, I hop to the side, but sense she's going to kick me. I could not escape in time and took the blow to my side, being send a few dozen meters away. I can feel the pain. Share Energy can actually kill me, even normal kicks hurt a lot. She comes after me, I quickly parry two kicks, of strength that feels like my arms are getting torn off stopping them, then I block a quick swing of her axe as she pushes me further away, I use Light Step to garner even more distance, so I can meet her in the middle as she flies towards me.

After a Light Step, I strike her with my blade, and as strong as I am, she easily stops me with her staff and pushes me away. She freezes my legs with some small ice spell then tries to smash me with her axe. I block it, and am still flung further away. I charge light in my blade and stay away from her next physical attack with Light Step. In the next second, I shout, "UnionStar Light Slash!", and shoot a large blade of light at her. She flies through the explosion, looking somewhat uncomfortable.

"That's not even close to enough!", she shouts as I am forced to stop her Axe smash with a second sword, crossing swords below the staff of her axe. But her strength is greater than mine, she is pushing me down. I make my second sword explode fully with magic, blowing her axe to my left, then I grab my main sword with both hands and intend to cut her as I pass her by with Light Step. I did manage to hit her, but her defenses are too tough, I did little in damage.
She flies after me, she throws her axe past me, making me dodge on reflex, that is when she gets close to punch me, it took my all to block it, it feels like my bones cracked at the impact of her fist.

I couldn't move my arms, so she simply uses her other fist to send me away with a gut punch. My feet slide through the snow, past her axe. She comes for me whilst grabbing her axe in the process, I duck under her axe swing, only to be forced to block an incoming punch the next millisecond. I could only use my left arm, it almost broke as it bends with her fist. Snow shoots into the air as my feet are dragged across it, she goes after me spinning like a top.
"Tanzerin Trombe!", she shouts as I try to run backwards, ducking under her axe and finding an opportunity to stop her with my blade.

But instead, she finishes her spin with a smack of her axe against my sword, throwing my arms to my right, she pushes me over by placing her foot below my toes and kicking my left foot up. She finishes her attack with a smash against the ground that causes the earth beneath to rise in front of her, the spikes shooting me into the air. It hurts a lot. With Share energy, I can feel some holes are made in my back. I almost wanted to yelp out, but I grit my teeth and avoid her flying into me by casting explosion with my hand, I front-flip over her.

With the next explosion from me feet, I dodge her plunging attack and land with a roll onto the ground.
I breath in and out. I grab two swords and light them up as I gather snow around me. The snow howls around White Heart, snow walls block her way, even though she can smash through it, others turn into patches of solidified light that will fly into her. Except when she dodges them, but it at least allows me some time as I avoid her next axe swing.

"Sturm Wind!", she says, a snowstorm coming over me, I could stop it, but my feet are frozen regardless. She flies over to me, but I combine my swords and shout, "FusionStar Helios Burst!" White Heart stops for a second, but had no way of escaping this sudden flash that unleashes this horizontal flame of light that engulfs her. When everything was clear, I can see she guarded herself with her arms, still having taken some damage.
"That one hurt damn it. But if that is the best you can do, I'll kick your ass now!", she shouts.

She slams her axe in reverse against the ground, she digs up a large rock that she flings at me. With it coated with share energy, it would hurt me, so I dodge step away from it, she follows me with her eyes and shoots more ice bullets at me, forcing me to dodge immediately after, I know she will throw her axe over to me, so I jump back right after my next Light Step. I can barely dodge her punch with a quick-step leaning my body in an opposite direction, but her axe curved back around after she passed behind me, her fist was meant to be dodged. I try to stop her, mut she spins around my thrust whilst grabbing the axe that flew towards us. Now hits me with her axe as she shouts, "Zestorung!

Her SP attack launches me sky-high. I shrug it off, but I find it hard to move now with so much pain. I make sure to keep an explosion magic ready for each limb. From my left arm, I dodge her ascending attack, I move away from her heel-turn axe swing with my right leg, I get above her with my left leg, dodging her flying ram. She turns around and shoots ice bullets at me, so I cast explosion from my left arm, going down diagonally. But she flies right to my front, forcing me to block another axe smash that sends me further up.

I sense my friends in the distance running. I look at White Heart. She is about to charge at me again. I guess I have no choice. She is far too strong.
"Dark White Mod Sweetch processor unit, set.", I say before transforming. White Heart stopping, her intense gaze upon me as the pillar fades having transformed into HDD.
"Impossible…Are you a Goddess?!", she responds.
"What is your business with me?!", she asks.
"I do not have to answer you.", I reply to her as I ready my sword, swinging it to me right.

"The hell…?", she says under her breath, then she declares, "I don't care what you are. You have come to mess with my nation?! I will kill you!"
She flies towards me, but with my advanced speed, I ram back into her, she could barely react in time and block my sword with her axe's staff. The difference in strength must have surprised her, I easily shoved her backwards until she got a grip and ceased my advancement. The two of us pushes with all our might, but we ended up bouncing off each other.

She flies back, horizontally swinging her axe at me, but I float slightly over it, then I come back to strike her right after, but she floats a little bit backwards, barely letting my sword move down below her, then she tries another wide swing, probably thinking she's got me. But I can use Light Step off a magical circle in this form, so with great speed I get out of there. She could barely follow me as I moved around her. It did not take long for her to catch up to my speed, however, by that time, I am charging at her. At first, I had my sword pointed at her, to make her think I was going to stab her in the face, but the moment she moved her axe up to block my blade, I thrust both feet forward, drop kicking her in the side which send her packing. I chase after her, from above, both of us soaring in the sky, I strike her with a Light Slash from close range, albeit, she blocks it. But it must've done some damage as she is thrown below me.

I try to thrust my blade into her as I dash her way with Light Step, but she manages to dodge me with a quick burst of light, she almost hits me with her full hammer swing, only to miss due to me using Light Step to get away. She chases after me, but as soon as she catches up, I use Light Step again, this time, she fires more ice bullets as a way to force me in a direction she can fly to in time. "Congelatio!", she says as she tries to hit me with a combo of three axe swings infused with the ice element. I manage to block the three hits, even if the cold ice kind of bothers me. But she does a quick kick to my side after, that I could only block with my left arm. Thanks to using the HDD form with some share energy, I can stop her attacks now without too much pain, even if it sends me up pretty high.

Next time she comes up to me, I will use Light Step into a motion where I keep spamming the move. My speed gets increased to the point White Heart is surrounded by me and my after-images.
She looks angered at first, but I can see a sense of calm in her face now. Her eyes following some of my movements.
"Gefahrlichtern!", she shouts, almost hitting me with her array of ice bullets, but right after, she tracked my movement and predicted my next location, she flies in front of me, then she stops me from getting away by throwing an axe in the direction I was about to fly towards, I could sense it beforehand, so I stopped.

I barely dodge her punch as I float around her right, I tried to slash her, but she turns around and grabs my sword with her left hand, then she wraps her right arm around my neck. She's using all of her strength to force me and herself to crash down head-first into the ground, though it will be me that will take most of that shock. I try to get out of her grapple, the only way was to make my sword explode, weakening her grip and forcing her to let go of my left arm. I grab her right arm as I flip over with a spin before kicking her down onto the ground inside the Avenir HQ. She leaps away as I plunge down with my fist, creating a great cloud of dust and snow.

The two of us fly towards each other, our fists clash and blow all the snow away. Not matter how far we pushed, our strength was equal now, making White Heart trembles a bit. As we fly back, both of us get an axe out of our inventories. We spin until we make a hard-stop to swing our axes with all our might forward, only for the two axes to bump into each other as we both simultaneously shout, "Zerstorung!" White Heard loudly sounds, "What?!" Our attacks make the wind blow as they collide, we could not move onwards from that, flying backwards.
"Did you just steal my freaking move?!", she shouts angrily.
I shoot my axe at her at light speed, she bends as it hits her stomach and sends her flying. She does manage to knock the axe away, but by that point, I got a silver spear ready as I light Step her way.

"Rainy Ratnapura!", I shout as I rapidly move my feet, thrusting my spear at White Heart multiple times leaving after-images behind until I do a slashing motions that knocks her back.
"That's Vert's…", she says before rebounding from her state of knockback, she instantly attacks me back with ice bullets. I dodge them with a short distance Light Step and throw the spear at her, making her dodge it, now I use Light Step to throw a punch at her. But she dodges it as she leans her head to the left, she uses her body' weight to move the axe and slam it into my back, or so she tried. I Light Stepped into the air instead. I avoid another burst of bullets as I fly over her.

"Shadow Create.", I say as I remake Yukishihai.
She flies towards me after I completed it. In a burst of speed, I move past her shouting, "Critical Edge!" My slash stuns her for a second, making her drop on the ground as I fly up and charge my blade with energy. "Fall Slash!", I shout, trying to shoot her with an energy blade that creates a rift that beams upwards, but she flies around it into the sky. As she goes around ready to hit me with her hammer, she loudly says, "How the hell do you know our moves?!"

I dodge some ice bullets, then I am forced onto the ground as she tries to ram at me. I dodge more Ice bullets, then I decided to grab a shield to block the ice bullets. I slam the shield into her my reflecting it off my hand at light speed. That is when I fly towards her with my sword, she not only ducks under my swing, but she lands a heavy full axe swing against me, knocking me all the way to the other side of the walls surrounding us.
"EXE Drive Skill! Hard Break!", White Heart shouts, after weakly doing a turn as a recoil from her last attack, she smashes the axe into the ground, causing the earth to crack. A large pillar of earth shoots me into the sky afterwards.

I had never seen her EXE Drive Skill before, so I had no idea what would happen next. But she spins around as I fall down, then, the exact moment upon landing on the ground, she throws her axe at me. I could only guard with this dense air, but the axe explodes upon collision, trapping me into this giant pillar of flame that brightens up the whole area, White Heart's axe landing next to her after. The attack hurts me quite a bit, but I prepared myself. Enduring it, I rise above the flame, charging my blade with light.

High in the sky, I gather snow around me as a shoot light down at White Heart shouting, "UnionStar Helios Slash!" She had to quickly get up in the sky to avoid it, but she couldn't dodge the whole thing, so she shields herself with her arms as the exploding light bursts into her from her left. She gets up to my altitude…I can sense it. One final clash. I get a second blade and absorb snow into my sword turning it into light. I see some kind of oddity in the snow behind White Heart, her axe pulsating with power.

She holds her axe behind her right, it lighting up in white with snow surging around it. My feet burst light from underneath them, with my sword combined into a larger blade of light. We launch off, flying at our maximum speed as we are about to bash into each other.
"Umdrehen!", she shouts as she swings her axe, clashing with my sword swing. We push and push as white energy widens around us, our clash shooting two giant beams of light getting wider the further they beam from our struggle.

But my special move is just too strong. I push her axe down so I can reach her, I finally use reflection on her to move her below me. She is very strong, so I couldn't get her all the way down, but it was enough.
"ShootingStar…HELIOS BURST!", I shout, shooting White Heart with a giant burst of light onto the ground. If she weren't here, it would've blown up the whole HQ and everything in it. It is because she is so strong that all that power is absorbed by her. I did not use Negative energy, so I doubt I killed her. In fact, I am unleashing this blinding attack so I can run right after.

The moment I could let go of this light, I used Light Step to dash away into a flight. As I am flying away, I can faintly hear shouting, "HEY! COME BACK HERE! DAMN IT!"
"I'm sorry…Big sis. Our fight is yet to conclude.", I say to myself.
You aren't strong enough to defeat me yet. My mission…Our mission is done. We destroyed all of SCJP. We foiled all of Avenir's plans and deleted their data so they can never recover. They have no real estate anymore nor money. I would like it if Big Sis would arrest Ganache and Signe…But even is she doesn't they'd have to start from scratch…And I know my friends would never let them.

Epilouge

I am the last to come to our…Their base. It goes without saying that everyone is happy to see me. I don't sit on top of the elevated platform…Hehe…Now it looks like they are all towering over me… I feel happy seeing them. But…This is the last time Now I feel sad.
"We did it…We have won! Our mission is over! Lowee is free once more!", I shout, raising my fist. Everyone cheers with me, their faces as happy as can be.
Theresa was the first to stop, she looks concerned at me. She remembers.

Acclaim notices and also stops for a second.
"You guys were amazing…I never expected to have allies like you…I wasn't even thinking of making friends. Just people to work alongside with. I loved every minute of being with you.", I tell them. I bow and say, "Thank you very much!".
A few were smiling, then Dragonette says, "Hey…No need to thank us. We…", and she stops smiling.
"…Do you really need to leave?", she asks me.

Sili-san and Evo now look with frowns at me as well. I keep on a faint smile.
"It is my destiny… I had my way…But I can no longer.", I say, looking aside to the ground. I look back at them, still smiling, I say, "You five…You have become strong. Even without me, you guys can do great. No…In a sense, I am always going to be with you. My words are in your minds and my methods are in your souls. You can't get rid of me even if you wanted to. That is why… You don't need me anymore!"

Theresa is tearing up, "Leader…You can't say such a thing…Stupid"
"Yeah! Of course we need you! What is a group without its leader?!", Sili-san speaks in a bargaining tone.
It kind of hits me too. I am trying not to cry, keeping up my smile I say, "Sili-san…All of you are free. But I know. You will continue to help others, won't you? That is why I want to ask…Keep Lowee safe…No. Keep Gamindustri safe from any dangers. This will be my last order, as Leader! Only you five can protect it from the shadows!", my voice gets louder as I speak.

"Come on…Can't we at least have a farewell party?!", Dragonete asks, trying to smile, but she's breaking up too.
"Leader…Do you have to leave so soon? Could we not occupy your time for a little longer?", Acclaim asks.
"Don't think you can run from us! I'll find you!", Evo says.
I have to wipe away some tears. I shake my head.
"It's over. Guys. I must go… I don't think… You'll ever see me again. So… Cherish the new live we made here.", I tell them, trying to keep up my smile…No. I feel satisfied?
I turn around and say, "Farewell.", and put my mask back on before sprinting out of there. They call my name, a few cry, especially Theresa.
You guys were the best… I'll never forget you.

Inside a underwater ruins, where water falls between the many platforms.
Darkness has three girls shrouded. Hiding in the shadows, their eyes and shape only being visible. One with dark purple eyes and black reversed power symbol pupils, always laughing like she mocks the world. A green eyed woman with a face of wrath and the same pupils. And another with dark blue eyes and the same pupils, calm and composed, a silent fury living inside her quelled by her calculated plans.

"So…The time has finally come."
"Who cares? I have been trying to kill that bitch for a long time."
"Yet, our powers had not resonated until now."
"Hahaha! We would still be much stronger. Do we even need her?
"There are four of us. So four of us are needed to destroy Gamindustri and kill our sisters."
"Hmph. I don't care what happens to Gamindustri as long as she dies."
"While we are stronger, we can't count on a fair fight. They gather around with friends."
"Like cockroaches! That's why I had them busy with the rifts. If only we could hurt their friends more!"

"It's fortunate then. She has finally awakened her SSD."
"Will she even side with us? This seems rather pointless."
"We all know, none of us have a choice. She must fight."
"That is funny?! Isn't it?! Loves her older sister still, but she MUST fight her! HAHAHAHA"
"It is of no concern to me. But with the four of us, our plans can finally go in motion. A direct confrontations is imminent."

These girls had a conversation. Now they look down, as the fourth approaches. Underneath her masks were white eyes with reversed black power symbols. Light burst from her feet as she got up to their level. She sits on a platform and says, "Tell me your plans…And I will work with whatever works with mine."
"That is fair. I will agree to this.", the blue eyed one said.
"Arrogant bitch! You do as we say!", the purple eyed one said.
"I don't care. Whatever gives me time to fight.", the green eyed one said.
"Then…Let's begin.", the white eyed one replies.

Afterword

And that is Darkness finished! I wanted to finish it last year but uh…It got longer than expected. It was supposed to be a third shorter than Light but…It became two-thirds longer? That's crazy. Darkness was originally an in-between Light and the final Story arc, some ideas were already there before I started, in particular, Bios organizing a group and fighting against secret organizations. The treasure hunt to some extend and the giant mecha were planned. And the finale chapter was planned. That's it.

I did have her go to the ninja village soon after, but most is thought up as I wrote the first volume. The second volume was completely made up and meant to be a single chapter, lol. I feel like I learned quite a bit on this journey. Why people would never use volumes in online formats for one. I'm never doing that again. What was just a quick in-between turned into a large story with many fights. But the next one will have a different name. Bios is not the main character anymore as it is switched back to the four main Goddesses.

Next up will be the story about Four Goddesses vs Four Devils. I kinda hope I can think of a better name for it though…Anyone has any ideas?
