Naruko was in her gaming room, engrossed in her computer. The room, one of four in the apartment she and Sasuke bought, was her sanctuary. She had used her fuinjutsu skills to expand the space, turning it into a vast library-sized room. Inside, there was a desk, TV, couch, bookshelves filled with books, and another set of shelves packed with manga from 250 years ago—a collection she painstakingly acquired, each piece worth every penny. She called it her gamer room.
In addition to gaming, Naruko enjoyed making stop-motion videos with Legos. She often collaborated with Denki Kaminari and occasionally Izuku, who lent their voices for the videos. Today, Naruko was playing a pre-quirk era game she adored, trying to revive the culture surrounding it. The game was Minecraft. Over the past year, she had discovered the world of gaming and embraced it fully, becoming a well-known gamer under the alias CrimsonHuntress66. The "66" was a nod to an old pre-quirk era franchise called Star Wars, specifically Order 66, which she found fascinating.
She was recording a video of her latest adventure—killing the Ender Dragon. As she landed the finishing blow, she shot both arms up in triumph, grinning as the dragon fell and she claimed the dragon egg.
"Yes! Finally!" Naruko exclaimed, her excitement evident in her voice. "Got the egg and beat the dragon!"
She leaned back in her chair, still buzzing with adrenaline, and started to save her recording. This victory would make for an epic video to share with her followers.
She talked to her viewers, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "Alright, everyone, so I'm planning to install some mods from the old days before quirks appeared. You know, the ones that were super popular. I'm going to be the new DanTDM and the new Aphmau because the Minecraft era is going to rise again!" She finished her announcement with a confident smile, imagining the excitement this would bring to her audience.
Naruko ended the recording, saved the file, and switched over to Discord. She joined a voice chat with someone named IronMaiden, a username she had suggested to her friend. Originally known as ByteBender, her friend had changed her handle as a nod to the pre-quirk era superhero Iron Man—a character Naruko greatly admired. To Naruko, the old comics held a charm and complexity that the current quirk era often lacked.
"Hey, IronMaiden, you there?" Naruko greeted as she joined the chat, her headset comfortably in place.
"Yeah, I'm here!" IronMaiden responded, her voice bright and cheerful. "How'd the Ender Dragon fight go?"
"Crushed it!" Naruko replied, her excitement palpable. "Just like we planned. I'm going to edit the video tonight and upload it tomorrow."
"Awesome! Can't wait to see it," IronMaiden said. "So, what mods are you thinking about installing?"
"I was thinking of starting with some of the classics—maybe some adventure mods, tech mods, and definitely some building mods to spice things up. You know, really bring back that old-school Minecraft feel," Naruko explained, her mind already buzzing with ideas.
"That sounds amazing. And you know what? We should totally do a collab sometime," IronMaiden suggested. "Our viewers would love it."
"Definitely!" Naruko agreed. "We could do a whole series together. The new era of Minecraft is here, and we're leading the charge."
They chatted for a while longer, discussing potential mods, video ideas, and upcoming collabs. Naruko felt a surge of excitement and motivation. The gaming community she had built, the friendships she had forged, and the projects on the horizon all filled her with a sense of purpose and joy.
As Naruko finished her chat with IronMaiden, she stretched and headed off to bed. Meanwhile, in another location, a girl wearing a cat ear gamer headset was also logging off from her game. "Goodnight, CrimsonHuntress," she said softly, revealing her identity as Melissa Shield, daughter of David Shield, the famous scientist known for creating support items for heroes.
Melissa, intrigued by the gaming culture of the pre-quirk era, had recently been exploring old games. That particular day, she was playing an ancient title called Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The campaign's storyline, though violent, had captivated her. Out of curiosity, she decided to check out the multiplayer mode, fully expecting the servers to be deserted.
To her astonishment, she found one player online. It was the same day Naruko had been exploring the Call of Duty game. Curious and a bit nervous, Melissa decided to join the game and found herself in the iconic Nuketown 2025 map. As she hesitated, wondering what kind of person she was about to encounter, she felt a mix of anxiety and excitement.
flashback
When the game started, Melissa was relieved to discover that the other player was also a girl. They exchanged a few friendly messages, and Naruko quickly broke the ice. "Hey, what brings you to an old game like this?" Naruko asked with genuine curiosity.
Melissa smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. "Just wanted to see what games were like before quirks changed everything. You?"
"Touché," Naruko responded with a grin. "I guess I had the same idea."
As they continued to play and chat, they bonded over their shared fascination with pre-quirk era games. They discovered that these old games had a unique charm and depth that modern games sometimes lacked. Over time, they became good friends, often teaming up to explore other classic games together.
Their friendship deepened as they spent hours strategizing in old battlefields, discussing game mechanics, and sharing personal stories. Melissa appreciated Naruko's fearless approach to gaming and life, while Naruko admired Melissa's intelligence and curiosity.
One night, after another fun gaming session, Naruko suggested.
Naruko: We should this more often, is nice to talk soemone that isn't obsses about hero and quirk.
Melissa: Yeah, I would love that.
With that, their journey as a dynamic gaming duo began, bridging the gap between the pre-quirk and quirk eras through their shared love of gaming.
Flashback over
Back in the present, Melissa was glad she had met Naruko. She remembered vividly the day they first encountered each other online and how, after a few months of gaming together, they decided to meet in person. Melissa introduced herself to Naruko, who didn't initially recognize her name. It took a few hours for Naruko to realize she was the "science girl" from I-Island. Melissa recalled the shock and fear she felt when Naruko arrived at her location, her presence announced by a giant hawk at the window.
Spending time together in person allowed them to bond even more. Naruko trusted Melissa with her biggest secret: that she was from another dimension. Though it took some convincing, Melissa eventually believed her. The revelation made Melissa ecstatic, as it confirmed theories about the multiverse and matter displacement. Naruko laughed at the reference to "Spider-Man: No Way Home," but Melissa's confusion about who Spider-Man was stung a bit. In that moment, it felt as if a collective cultural memory had been lost.
Over time, their friendship deepened. They became close, even having a brief period as friends with benefits, but they remained good friends beyond that phase. In the present, Melissa was staring at another computer screen, focusing on an exo-skeleton suit schematic with the title "Iron Heart."
As she worked, she thought about how much her life had changed since meeting Naruko. The excitement of discovering the multiverse, the shared laughs, and the support they provided each other in their respective endeavors had created a bond she cherished deeply. Melissa knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she and Naruko would face them together, fortified by their unique connection and shared adventures.
Uzuchiha apartment
Back at the Uzuchiha apartment, Sasuke was at his computer, working diligently as an analyst for a tech company. His expertise in technology had proven invaluable since their arrival in this world, even Naruko had to admit that having the Sharingan for purposes other than stealing jutsu was quite useful.
Naruko, meanwhile, was in her loft, sitting cross-legged and surrounded by papers and scrolls. She was practicing space-time fuinjutsu, a skill she had been focusing on since she arrived in this world. The concept of the multiverse and other realities fascinated her, prompting months of study. Today, she was ready to test her theories.
After making a series of hand signs, she slammed her hands into a scroll, which began to glow. Her eyes glowed blue as she peered into another universe. The first scene she saw was shocking: shinobi fighting against terminators. Naruko, a fan of the pre-quirk era classic "Terminator," couldn't believe her eyes. Sasuke was there too, wearing an eyepatch over his left eye, suggesting he had lost it.
Naruko decided to shift her gaze to another dimension and saw a male version of herself. She found it cool, albeit a bit unsettling, as he resembled her father. Her face turned bright red in shock when she saw her male counterpart having sex with an eight-foot woman in a white morning dress and a big sun hat. Naruko quickly realized who she was: Hachishakusama, an old Japanese myth and pre-quirk era creepypasta figure. Naruko was transfixed until Hachishakusama turned her head and whispered, "Hope you're enjoying the view."
Startled, Naruko quickly switched to another dimension. She was horrified to see her male counterpart having sex with her mother, Kushina Uzumaki, and hastily switched again. This time, she smiled, seeing a female version of herself with the Avengers from the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610), though she wasn't fond of everyone there except Spider-Man and Shadowcat.
Feeling exhausted from her dimensional peeping, Naruko decided to look at one last dimension before making dinner. Her jaw dropped red as she saw an older version of herself being intimate with an older version of Sasuke. She couldn't believe she was watching this but found herself unable to look away, hearing her elder self yell for Sasuke to go deeper and harder.
Embarrassed and flustered, Naruko decided to end her dimensional viewing session. Kurama, noticing her distraction, used his tail to pull her arm away from the scroll.
"You're bleeding from your nose," Kurama pointed out.
Naruko wiped the blood away, realizing how much she was bleeding. Kurama gave her a pointed look. "If you're going to peep on other versions of yourself having sex, do it in your own time."
Naruko's face turned red with anger and embarrassment. In a fit of frustration, she picked Kurama up and threw him out the open window of their loft.
The scene shifted outside their apartment building, showing Kurama falling but quickly recovering and landing gracefully, shaking his head with a sigh.
Back inside, Naruko took a moment to calm down, her face still flushed from the series of embarrassing moments. She stood up and stretched, deciding to put and take a break. She headed to the kitchen to start preparing dinner, still trying to shake off the lingering embarrassment.
In the meantime, Sasuke finished his work and shut down his computer. He stretched and walked over to join Naruko in the kitchen, noticing her slightly flustered expression.
"Everything okay?" Sasuke asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah, just... saw some weird stuff while experimenting with space-time fuinjutsu," Naruko replied, trying to sound casual.
Sasuke "Weird stuff, huh?"
Naruko smiled, grateful for the change of topic. " I'm making ramen tonight."
. The evening passed comfortably, with both of them enjoying each other's company.
After dinner, they settled on the couch to watch a movie. Naruko picked an old pre-quirk classic, "The Matrix,"
Somewhere in the U.S.A.
An unknown location teemed with military vehicles, cargo trucks, and choppers, all escorting a convoy. The choppers hovered in the sky while armed soldiers manned the gunners on the vehicles, their eyes scanning the surroundings with vigilance. The cargo trucks were transporting something valuable—inside, cryo chambers held people in a state of suspended animation, submerged in a watery sleep.
Inside one of the trucks, a soldier attempted to strike up a conversation with a female soldier, his tone flirtatious. She cut him off sharply. "I'm gay," she said, shutting him down. He grimaced, having failed miserably.
"What do you think they'll do to them when we reach the base?" the female soldier asked, her gaze fixed on the cryo chambers.
The leader of the group, a stern-faced man, walked up to one of the tubes and tapped on it, observing the sleeping person inside. "They'll be kept hidden away from society. Their quirks are too dangerous—villainous quirks."
The female soldier glanced at some of the tubes, noting the presence of children. "How do you know they're villains? Some of these are just kids."
The leader's expression hardened. "Why ask questions? It's obvious. They were born to be villains. It's their fate. Accept it."
The female soldier chuckled, but there was no warmth in it—only coldness. The others looked at her in confusion. "If they want them to be villains, we can help with that."
The leader frowned. "We?"
Suddenly, the truck stopped abruptly, causing confusion among the soldiers. The vehicle began to shake violently as gunfire and screams erupted outside. Explosions rattled the air, followed by an eerie silence.
The leader turned his gun on the female soldier, suspicion in his eyes. "You're behind this, aren't you?"
The female soldier smiled, raising a finger and then lowering it. In an instant, the leader's head exploded, blood splattering across her face. She licked the blood with a twisted grin.
As chaos reigned, the metal container of the truck began to groan and creak, as if being ripped apart. The door was torn open, revealing a man clad in red armor and a purple cape. The soldiers opened fire, but the bullets stopped inches from the man's face, suspended in mid-air. With a gesture, he sent the soldiers hurtling into the air.
"Who are you?" one soldier stuttered, his voice trembling with fear.
The man, his face shadowed by a helmet, turned his violet eyes towards the soldier, who was now plummeting from the sky. Below, the ground was littered with destroyed vehicles, flames, and the bodies of fallen soldiers. The man watched impassively as the soldier fell, his reflection visible in the man's eyes.
"I am Magneto," he declared, his voice filled with cold authority.
To be continued...
