Three months later...
"Spring break's almost over, huh?"
We were all back in the dorms after spring break, and me and Shoji had gotten our instructions.
"We're going on a trip for our work study," Uraraka was saying, which got my attention.
"Oh, you're right," said Tsu.
"You girls too? For real? Same here!" said Kaminari.
"We've also got a trip planned for that day!" said Iida.
"Huh? What's up with that!?"
"Hang on, us too."
"Me too!"
Everyone in Class 1 A was, in fact, going...
We'd gathered together, me, Yaomomo, Kirishima, Ashido, Sero, Sato, Aoyama, Ojiro, Tetsutetsu, Shoji, Kuroiro, Shiozaki, Tokage. Kaminari was on the front lines. It was finally time to take them down.
The League of villains.
I plugged my headphone jacks into the ground, keeping track of what was going on out front with our friends.
"Get up, GRape Juice," said Sero.
Jeez, Mineta.
"Why? The rear guard's job is just to catch any bad guys who slip past the front line. So getting all pumped up is actually kinda insulting to the pros, right?"
"Get. Up."
"It's starting," said oneof the pros.
"What?"
"You said that so casually.
I was listening in. From a distance, I could hear the sound of many heroic boots in motion.
"They're on the move."
"This operation has brought heroes together on an unprecedented scale. But that's no reason to relax just yet," said one of hte pros out front. "What this means is that we need everyone here to face the massive threat in front of us!"
"I'm not to worried about Tokoyami," I muttered. "But what about -"
I felt a pair of soft hands on my shoulder. Yaomomo looked at me. I could see she was sweating a little too. But she told me, firmly and calmly. "I'm sure he'll be just fine."
Looking out towards the front lines, I couldn't help thinking back to all the things that had gone down between me and Kaminari, over the years. All the fun times...how he'd helped me out when I was doubting myself so much...all he'd done to help our band move forward...he really was, truly, my friend. Even if he could be panicky, foolish, impulsive, and a scaredy cat. I really, really didn't want him to get hurt. And I really didn't want him to panic.
And I told him, not sure if he could hear me somehow,
"Get it done, Chargebolt."
