Yoshi and Dr. Hoshi were racing together inside a subway tunnel, with the two dinosaurs zipping left and right on the twisted railroads, the two dodging incoming subway cars as they were below the bustling streets of Neo Bowser City, with it dripping in water from the constant downpour of rain above. Notably, Bowser was present in the subway tunnels yelling at the trains going by.
"Move it, you stupid damn trains! Stop lagging and get a move on!" Bowser bellowed as he would on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, not focusing on the fact that Yoshi and Dr. Hoshi sped right past him without any of them coming into contact with each other.
Of course, Mario and Luigi weren't that lucky either, with both of the Mario Bros. crying 'Mamma mia!' as they were run over by Yoshi, with Dr. Hoshi being too busy swerving around the various booby traps that were placed on the ground for which they were traversing on.
"Hey, why are we doing this again?" Yoshi asked as he scratched his head with one of his hands while having his other hand on the steering wheel.
Dr. Hoshi rubbed his chin as he murmured. "Hmm... perhaps it's to hone us on our skills so that we can focus on the race at hands."
"But... what race, Harryhausen?" Yoshi pointed out as the two went in different directions from an incoming train, with Yoshi coming back to Dr. Hoshi. "It's only us two here. I don't recall seeing the others..."
Dr. Hoshi was about to comment as he decided to take a look back, adjusting his light blue glasses as he gawked in disbelief, a gust of wind suddenly coming into the tunnel and blowing up the white lab coat of the purple raptor as he turned his head back to Yoshi after heading up a ramp and falling off the elevated platform. "Well, it appears that there is no one but us. I wonder why..."
Yoshi was about to comment, when he stopped his vehicle in his tracks as he noticed that there was suddenly a portal up above the ceiling. Dr. Hoshi took the time to notice as he slowed himself down, noticing how weird the portal appeared as it was a dank mix of green and purple, with the two dinosaurs looking at each other as they were both unsure as what to say.
"Should we go right into it?" Yoshi asked as he pulled out a green and white spotted egg that he would normally create.
Dr. Hoshi sighed as he shrugged, shaking his head. "You know, considering everything we have gone through all these years... why the hell not."
After managing to blast themselves upwards using the explosion from the egg, Yoshi and Dr. Hoshi were sent into the portal while they were still within their vehicles. Of course, Master Hand popped up just as they disappeared, causing him to curse and curl himself into a fist as he felt like he fucked up big time.
"Damn it! They got away before I could warn them about getting warped to different dimensions!" Master Hand said to himself as he was not sure what would happen to the duo now...
