'Major, we need to go back.' Peter broke the silence in the library where Jasper did most of his research. Today all of the Vampires and Shifters were sitting watching Caius, It had been a week since he had woken up from the darkness and he had been almost zombie like, it was starting to worry the others.
'You can't mean where I think you mean Captain!' He growled viciously, His black eyes daring his Captain to confirm.
'I'm sorry Major but this is something we need to do. We can not escape this one.' Peter said letting his head fall down in submission, showing the Major his defeat.
'Everyone pack up. We are going to Texas.' Jasper growled angrily storming out of the room, slamming the door as he went.
"Isabella dear is that really you?" the old vampire whispered as she took a step towards the savage newborn hanging weakly from the wall. There was no life left in her dark eyes, just hatred and hunger, her hair was matted and stuck out in all directions. There was no human left in this poor young girl. "Whats happened to you dear? Talk to us." she pleaded as she reached out her hand to move a strand of the now dreaded hair away from the angry face, only to have her hand pushed away by Maria, she had narrowly missed the angry bite aimed at her.
"Whoever you think this girl is, she is no longer. All she knows right now is anger and pain, what we need to do is get her back to the compound and get her fed as discreetly as possible. As much as you might disagree with me on this we need to cage her. If we let her out of these chains now she will drain the whole city. The last thing we need right now is the Volturi after us because off a mess we didn't make. You've heard the stories of the third brother lately, he's gone back to the dark ages." Maria took hold of her distraught granddaughter "Cullen has starved her for a very long time, possibly since she was changed. She will not see rationally, she will not remember who she is and unfortunately she will not know who you are. As of right now and for a while to come this poor girl will be animistic. You need to be patient."
The growling was getting louder and more frequent, the newborn sensed something was about to change. When Edward was dragged away the whole atmosphere changed, she wanted to follow, to rip him apart limb by limb, make him feel the pain and hunger that she did, to break him the way she was. The anger was building up higher and higher, her hunger was getting worse and worse. She needed blood, she needed revenge.
The moment she noticed two of her kind walked into the room with a cage big enough to fit her in, she turned rabid. Venom flew out of her mouth as she thrashed around in her chains, desperate to escape. She would not be imprisoned by another, the closer they got the more savage she became. Maria looked on in sorrow, this was much worse than anything she had inflicted. There might be no fixing this, poor child. When the two men grabbed hold of her arms Isabella started to swing, bite, scream and roar. She was not getting in that cage without a fight but unfortunately for her she was very weak and sloppy. Nothing she could do right now would stop the inevitable, she was being trapped once again, only difference was this time she had a new captor.
The Journey was not comfortable for Isabella but then again neither was the whole of her short vampire existence. She spent the 3 hour cage ride glaring at the two woman who had replaced Edward. Of course they were going to treat her the same, she knew they were. They're all the same, sadistic monsters created for pain and displeasure. This is what she would become, what she has become.
The cage finally came to a rough stop causing her to shriek angrily at her captors, she was surrounded by many vampires old and new. She could see them all, feel them all staring at her; at her madness. Isabella knew that she had gone mad, she had the constant reminder of that running through her mind. Is this what he wanted? Is this what he wanted her to become?
"Isabella, we are not going to hurt you.. We want to help you dear. Please let us help." Maria said sincerely. When she started to make her way towards the cage Isabella took the chance to lunge forward, trying to claw at the woman she did not know through the bars. She was becoming more frustrated and tired with each swing before eventually her body fell messily to the floor. Maria took this as an opportunity to grab the chains that were still wrapped around Isabella Wrists and quickly move the newborn out of the cage and to the feeding barn. This child needed to feed.
"Who is she dear? How do you know her?" Maria asked the sad looking woman beside her after locking the large doors, stopping Isabella from escaping.
The older looking vampire turned away from the barn and looked towards the sunset staying silent for a few minutes, her eyes glistened with silver tears and memories of her human life. "She is what I am to you. She is my Granddaughter."
Jasper was pacing round the throne room impatiently waiting for the last of his family to enter. If there was one place he'd rather not go, it was his home country. There were many dark memories scattered round the whole of Texas. There were places that reminded him of his human days, this made him sad at the loss of his human family; his human life. There were alley ways that reminded him of death; death that he had caused. The fields where he had tortured innocents. Texas was just not a positive place for him. Tanya seeing the distress that her other half was in, made her way over to him, wrapping her arms around him trying to comfort him from the dark memories.
"Calm down my love, we need you to have a sane mind, I know Texas is not a happy place for you and there is enough going on at the minute as is but we need you to lead us into what might be a dangerous situation. We don't know if this if Edward or something worse than that." she said calmly looking up at the anxious blonde "We are in this together darling and you have the whole of the Volturi behind you, we are a family and if there's one thing for certain, everyone has become extremely scared of the brothers over the past three months." Jasper smiled down at the small female wrapped in his arms fondly. They stayed like that until Emmett decided to ruin their moment and jump on them both making them stagger at the unexpected extra weight. "Everyone's here boss! Whats the plan?" Jasper looked around and as he was told, everyone was indeed waiting watching them.
Caius was sullen but ready for battle, his stern mask set into place. He was the brother that everyone had come to fear the most in the past months, even the newborns had heard of the bloodshed at his hand. The whole of the vampire world was trembling in fear, too scared to step a toe out of line. His mind may of left the darkness but the sadness was still there, the constant pain of loosing his mate was still present and he would do anything to take that pain away. Even if it came from violence.
"Honestly I don't know, I think the starting plan is to head to Texas. The rest we figure out when when land, we have to go off what Peters Knower is telling us and right now that is limited." He said standing tall looking at them, they all looked ready for a battle. He could feel the emotions rising and he could tell that they were all anticipating Edward, they were all eager to rip that sorry son of a bitch into shreds and burn him to the ground. The two feeling the strongest emotions were Charlie and Caius. They were ready to get revenge on Edward for taking away their light. Neither one of them had been the same since she was ripped harshly away from them.
Charlie, while he had Victoria to help ease the pain she didn't help with the fact that loosing a child is something you can't heal from. The pain of outliving someone you helped bring into the world was honestly soul destroying.
The one person who didn't feel much about everything that was going on was Alice. She had been hiding her emotions from Jasper for a few days and he was starting to get suspicious. She had arrived unexpectedly in the private gardens 3 weeks prior just before Izzy was killed. She had left the Cullen clan (Esme & Carlisle) for two months when they had come to Italy- their punishment from The Brothers.
They started to leave the the throne room and headed towards the cars, starting their journey to face the unknown danger of the south. The car ride was quiet, the last time they drove to their private plane was with Izzy. She and Perrie were singing and dancing without a care in the world, they had a light shining around them as if they were angels, Izzy had a way with making everyone feel like there was nothing wrong with the world when in fact she knew better than anyone else how cruel it actually was. The world was better with her in it, she was taken away before her time. Before she got to experience the true meaning of happiness.
Everyone with non magical blood stayed inside the Volterra, protected by some of the more trusted guards. They had been ordered to stay behind by the brothers to make sure no harm came to them. Non of them wanted to go back to Forks, too many memories of Izzy floated around the place and they did not want the painful reminder of their lost friend. The Pack was also yet to go back, they had decided to stay until they knew that Edward was ash in the wind.
The plane ride was long and hardly anyone spoke, too busy thinking what could happen when they landed. Peter still didn't have any idea as to what was going to happen next and they were all on edge. Caius was pacing up and down the plane clenching his fists, clearly he was thinking of everything that might unfold, Charlie was being spoken to by Victoria, she was trying to bring him out of his thoughts that were visibly troubling him. Marcus and Aro hadn't moved an inch since they sat down. The twins were whispering among themselves, coming up with possible defense strategies, Felix and Demetri were playing cards with the pack to stop unwanted thoughts. The closer they got to landing the more agitated they got, no one liked not knowing what was going to happen next. Then finally the rubber tires of the plane hit tarmac and Peter froze up.
"Fuck...Major, you ain't gonna like this." he tensely growled out.
Hey Prongslets!
Honestly writing this was like the welcoming of an old friend. My writing style may be a bit different to how it was 3 years ago so please don't judge too harshly ahah!
I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did creating it and hopefully it was worth the wait! Truthfully the chapter isn't as long as I would of liked but worry not! The next one is underway! Now I've started I just can't stop!
Sooooo... Moment of truth, how was is? What do you think is going to happen next?
Tell you what, why don't you go R&R for me so I know what all you beautiful people think!
Sending love from my rainy country!
