I opened my eyes and saw the group still trying to formulate a plan of attack but I sensed their frustration. I walked over and stood in my spot next to Obi-Wan again who looked at me with a small smile. He felt relieved I was back. Why? I felt myself becoming more balanced as well and wondered why he kept making me feel like this.

"The Gungans must draw the droid army away from the cities." she announced and asked R2 to bring up the map of the city. "We can enter the city using the secret passages on the waterfall side. Once we get to the main entrance, Captain Panaka will create a diversion." As she explained, R2 created a red line showing where the path would lead according to Padme's plan. "Then we can enter the palace and capture the Viceroy."

I raised my hand, trying to understand the plan, "Why is the Viceroy so important?"

Obi-Wan answered for me, "Without the Viceroy, they will be lost and confused."

Padme then instead asked Qui-Gon what he thought of her new plan and I turned my attention to him feeling confused.

"I thought we weren't fighting?" I whispered to Obi-Wan.

"The master isn't fighting the war for her. We are to protect the Queen at all costs, and by doing so, we need to be a part of the plan, just not the entirety of it. We only go where the Queen goes."

Qui-Gon interrupted us, "The Viceroy will be well guarded. The difficulty will be getting into the throne room."

"Once we're inside we shouldn't have a problem." Tanaka informed Qui-Gon.

"There is a possibility that, with this diversion, many Gungans will be killed." he countered and looked at the Gungan leader.

"Wesa ready to do our-san part." he told everyone. He pounded his chest with his fist as if that backed up his statement. I decided then that I would never understand Gungans.

Padme believed that this plan should immobilize the droid army, which to me sounded like a foolproof plan. She told the Captain to send as many pilots as they can spare to knock out the droid ship that was orbiting around the planet. This sounded like a good plan, but there were a lot of risks.

"This sounds risky." I put my arm around my brother who was just as lost as I was about all this.

"Kida is correct. The weapons on your fighters may not penetrate the shields." Qui-Gon announced, and Obi-Wan continued for him

"I agree, there is also an even bigger danger. If the viceroy escapes, Your Highness, he will return with another droid army."

After listening to everyone's concerns, I felt like the plan was only good if we got to the viceroy first, "Well then we can't fail to get the viceroy." Everyone looked at me as I pulled my brother tighter against me "Everything that I've heard depends on us getting the viceroy first. So then we can't afford to fail, otherwise, the rest of the plan cannot be completed."

A small silence engulfed us as we all thought the same thing. There was no other way to accomplish this. We must not fail. R2 beeped and whistled agreeing with me as Padme did as well. Now that the plan was set in motion, everyone was going to their assigned places to initiate the plan. The Gungans would draw as many droids as they could away from the city as a diversion, while we snuck in through the secret areas Padme told us about. I felt nervous and silently prayed that not many Gungans would be killed in this battle.

As we made our way into the city. I couldn't help but admire the architecture. The whole city looked like it was meant for royalty. It also looked strangely familiar to the dream I had with Obi-Wan. Only my dream happened at night and on a balcony, not in the middle of a battle. Padme was leading us, followed by Qui-Gon. I pushed Ani behind him, knowing he would keep my brother safe while Obi-Wan and I followed behind them. The captain went a separate way. We would meet at the same place but on opposite sides in order to ambush the droids. We got to the meeting area fairly quickly and kept as silent as possible. Padme learned as much into the concrete wall as possible while she shined her light for the Captain's group. I peeked my head out to see if they were there, and smiled when we saw the blue flashing light.

Qui-Gon took me and my brother, bending down to talk to Anakin while I knelt beside them. "Once we get inside, you two must find a safe place to hide and stay there."

"Sure." Anakin and I both agreed at the same time.

"Stay there." He ordered us again, this time pointing his finger at us.

I rolled my eyes, "We heard you the first time. We told you we would listen. Pointing a finger at us isn't going to make us suddenly disobey you."

I heard Obi-Wan laughing quietly behind me as Qui-Gon smiled, trying to hide his amusement. Anakin and I hugged the wall again and crouched as we heard the Queen's guards come with their transport vehicle. I held Anakin's hand who squeezed mine just as tight. We were in this together. We heard an explosion as the droid gunship was destroyed into a million pieces. Droids suddenly started talking while gunfire started. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan lit their lightsabers to protect us while Padme ran inside the building with the Captain's troops fighting the droids to divert their attention. I pulled Anakin along with me to keep up with our group as we ran away from the gunfire. Anakin tried to run ahead of me, but as the doors opened to show the pilot ships in the hangar, I noticed droids pointing their guns at us. I pushed Ani out of the way as Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan went first. They reflected the gunfire instead of slicing them, the red beams hit the droids instead.

"Kida!" Qui-Gon suddenly shouted, "Find cover." I pulled Anakin behind a pilot ship until I heard Padme shout for the pilots to get to their ships. Great, now we needed a new spot to hide behind. The second plan was now in motion. I didn't know where to hide with my brother. I saw a storage container next to the ship that was about to take off, this was better than nothing, "Quickly!" Qui-Gon shouted again, making me hurry behind the crates. I pushed Anakin in front of me and sat him on the floor while some gunfire landed next to us, hitting the crates. R2 followed us to our spot, not beeping to blow our hiding place. Smart droid. Anakin rushed out from behind the crate, while R2 got scooped up into the pilot ship next to us.

"Anakin!" I shouted for him. I felt really pissed off he left me. I watched my brother run up the stairs into the pilot ship that R2 was put in and rushed after him. I climbed up the stairs to Ani sitting in the pilot seat and I felt furious. "Anakin Skywalker, get out of that ship this instant!"

"I'm not going to fly it." He reassured me, relaxing in the seat.

"That is possibly the worst hiding spot." I turned to see how the fight was going and saw most of the droids broken on the floor. "What would've happened if you got shot and hurt. What would I have to tell mom when we see her again? That my baby brother ran out in the middle of gunfire to go sit in a pilot seat."

"Kida, I promise I'm fine."

"No, you're not!" I shouted, I felt my anger get the better of me. The crate that was next to me got crushed but I don't pay attention to what was happening, "If a droid were to shoot at this ship, you would have been burnt to a crisp!"

I didn't hear any more gunfire and turned to look at Qui-Gon. He cleared his throat rather loudly and I knew exactly how he felt, but I also saw everyone else looking at us and I felt my cheeks turn rosy.

Padme smirked, but brought her attention back to the captain, "My guess is the viceroy's in the throne room."

As planned, the Captain told the red and blue groups to follow him into the throne room. Anakin sat up from the ship, telling the Jedi to wait for us as they started walking away.

"Anakin, stay where you are. You'll be safe there." Qui-Gon told us when Anakin argued, but I interrupted them.

"You are staying in this cockpit, Anakin Skywalker." I felt something. I couldn't explain what it was. Obi-Wan looked at me and hesitated to follow his master.

"Be careful ok?" I got a nod in return as he caught up to the group. The feeling got stronger the more they walked away and it made me feel tense. It was the feeling from Tatooine, and it was a lot stronger.

"Wait!"I ran down the stairs just as the doors opened to reveal a man in a black hooded robe. He looked up at everyone and Padme left the hooded figure for Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to handle as they took the long way around. The hooded figure took off the hood, and I saw the familiar black and red-faced man. He had horns on his head too, just like my dream. I wondered if those hurt when he was a child.

"We'll handle this." Qui-Gon assured the Queen before they ran from the room.

"Qui-Gon, wait!" I shouted again which made him stop in his tracks. He looked at me and I saw him smile reassuringly, "It's alright, don't believe everything you see young one." I saw the three men take their robes off, and more machines rolled into the room behind me. R2 beeped to warn me. I was happy to know the little droid had my back.

"Kida?" Anakin looked at me, leaning up in the seat. "Do you have your sword?" I could feel his fear and for once I was starting to feel scared about my position. I couldn't think of a way out of this. I took my lightsaber out of my boot and to my delight, it turned on while the droids put up a shield around them. I ducked behind a crate to the side of the Black and red man. He took out his own lightsaber and I felt my mouth go dry. He had two lightsabers on each side of the handle! I thought back to my dreams, Qui-Gon just said not to believe everything I saw, but what if this was something that actually happened?

The droids open-fired while the Queen's group got pinned down. Obi-Wan flipped into the air, attacking the man from behind while Qui-Gon attacked from the front. The man in black fended both of them off easily, and I became even more scared. A ship's engine roared to life and I looked behind me to see Anakin hovering in the air while R2 was beeping. The ship started to move and the cockpit door closed. I felt my stomach drop. Anakin fired and the three droids were destroyed while Anakin flew off. The queen's group left the hanger finally but I was more worried about my brother.

"Anakin!" I ran to try and stop the ship gaining the attention of the Sith Qui-Gon believed him to be. He pushed the two men away without even touching them. I gripped my lightsaber tighter as the Sith walked closer to me. "You." He managed to get out before Qui-Gon landed in front of me, protecting me.

"Kida!" he looked at me as he attacked the man, "Run!"

I followed his advice. I ran. On the left side was a door and I used my lightsaber to damage the panel and it made the doors fly open. I'm happy that it worked. I ran faster when I heard them coming closer to me. I felt scared as I continued to run inside the weird room. White beams were coming up from the ground. Maybe a power room. I couldn't tell. I wasn't going to stand here and try to figure it out either.

I felt someone grab my arm just as I was about to continue running and I'm turned to face the Sith smirking at me. "You are a strong little girl." His hot breath hit my face, making me scrunch my face in disgust.

That word triggered me. Images flashed in my eyes. Kids teased me and called me an orphan girl, Watto called me The Girl since I was a slave. Free adults called me the weird little girl. Now, this Sith or thing, whatever he was with horns on his head called me that. I saw red. I felt angry.

"Kida!" Qui-Gon looked terrified, either from the Sith holding me hostage or from feeling my anger grow, I couldn't tell.

"Kida," Obi-Wan's voice reached me and I felt my anger reside slowly as I glanced at Obi-Wan creeping closer to us. He looked worried, and angry himself.

I pushed the Sith away from me, "I am not a little girl!" I screamed as I stared at the man. "You are a Sith on the Dark Side. You may be powerful but you are going to wish you never pissed me off!" I lashed out at the Sith with the remaining anger I felt.

The Sith stood up and looked at the Jedi who were running toward him. He looked at me, almost as if he was examining me, "The Dark Side calls to you." He walked closer to me at a faster pace.

I swung my lightsaber, cutting his wrist. I heard him growl, and he attacked me, coming at me in full force. I heard the lightsabers touch, making a shrieking sound as I tried my best to block his swings, but he sliced my shoulder, giving me a good cut. I yelped in pain from the contact, and Obi-Wan ran attacking the Sith. Qui-Gon attacked as well, and they turned the fight away from me. This was just like my vision, only different. I didn't see the red beams anywhere. I definitely got lucky hitting his wrist. Qui-Gon was right, these things really did hurt. The Sith jumped up to the higher platform above us as Obi-Wan got pushed back. Qui-Gon and the Sith were fighting on top of the highest platform circling the light beam while Obi-Wan regained his balance and joined the fight. I felt like I needed to help. I imagined myself jumping high just like I saw Obi-Wan and to my surprise, I jumped onto the platform above me. I needed to keep Qui-Gon safe. I didn't want my visions to come to light, but I would try my best to prevent them from happening. Anakin and I needed him. He was like a father figure to me, I couldn't lose him.

Just as I jumped to the next platform. I looked up to check on the fight and I sighed. I was still two platforms under them. I was just about to jump up to the next one when I looked up and froze. Obi-Wan got knocked off the platform and fell hitting the platform above me and rolled off. I screamed as I saw Obi-Wan bounce off. It only made me react faster, I grabbed his hand just as he fell next to me. "I got you!" I pulled him up or at least tried to, he was heavy. Obi-Wan put his foot on the platform and helped me pull him safely onto the platform with me.

"Thank you, Kida." Obi-wan caught his breath, squeezing my hand in the process.

I nodded and looked up, Qui-Gon knocked the Sith off and I smiled. He was winning this fight. The Sith landed just above us while Qui-Gon jumped after him. I looked at Obi-Wan, "We have to help him, Obi!" I snatched his lightsaber from the floor, holding it out to him as he stood up.

"Just stay back where it's safe." he ordered me. "I don't want you getting hurt again." I saw him glance at the cut on my arm as he took his lightsaber back. He jumped above me and ran to rejoin the fight with Qui-Gon. I followed after him, not wanting to be left behind. I saw Qui-Gon and the Sith slowly fighting their way toward the red beams. I froze for a minute before I felt myself run faster. I felt a sudden rush of air and I was a few feet away from Qui-Gon and the Sith. I made it into the first red beam two behind them but Obi-wan was just outside the fields. The Sith looked at me and tapped the red beam with his lightsaber but nothing happened. Qui-Gon sat down to meditate and the Sith paced in front of him. I stayed standing, waiting for the red beam to turn off. I thought back to my vision and remembered that I broke the beams somehow. I put my saber to the beam handle and nothing happens. Obi-Wan watched me, he did the same, only this time he broke his and came into my ring. I tried again, putting my lightsaber further into the wall the beam was coming from, and pushed the saber through it, turning off the one in front of me as well.

I looked at Obi-Wan and smiled sadly, "If what I think is about to happen, make sure my brother is trained to be the best Jedi." I mustered up my courage and dropped my lightsaber on the floor, turning it off in the process, and stood on my tippy toes wrapping my arms around Obi-Wan's neck. I felt him tense, not knowing what I was about to do. I pulled him closer, my lips meeting his. I put all my feelings into the kiss, hoping he somehow felt what I did. This would be the most selfish thing I have ever done, but I didn't want to die without telling him, in some way, how I felt. if I was going to die saving Qui-Gon, then so be it. I pushed Obi-Wan away with the force, picking up my lightsaber to break the next beam. I inched closer to the one Qui-Gon was in, and when I broke the next beam, I was standing next to Qui-Gon who was still meditating.

"You are a foolish little girl." The Sith continued to pace. The few words he let out always managed to piss me off. The walls around us started to dent, Qui-Gon directed my attention to him.

"Calm yourself, Kida," He whispered, not opening his eyes, "He is trying to make you release your anger."

I paced, matching the Sith's strides to block his view of my friend. The Sith tilted his head again, and I felt something off in my head but it went away just as quickly as it came. I continued to pace and I made sure my lightsaber was firmly in my grasp. I was going to save him even if it meant I was doing something extremely stupid and reckless.

"You think you can save him?" the Sith taunted, "You don't think my master knows about you?"

I ignored his questions, knowing they were tricks to get a reaction out of me. It didn't work. Not when I had my mentor next to me. Not when Obi-Wan needed me to be calm.

"The Jedi will never accept you." the Sith continued, "The Dark Side is stronger. Join me and kill this weakling."

"There's only one problem." I made him stop pacing. I focused on the beams and I felt them about to turn off. "He isn't dying today." As the last word slipped off my tongue, the beam turned off. I pushed Qui-Gon back the same way I did with Obi-Wan. I jumped into the air above the Sith and swung my lightsaber to hit him but he easily turned on his and blocked my attack. Qui-Gon came back first while Obi-Wan was stuck in the last beam and watched the fight. I blocked the Sith's attacks while Qui-Gon tried to hit him. The room we were in is just a huge circle with a hole in the middle. The Sith put all his anger and strength into each swing as he tried to hit me, making another cut right under the previous one making me scream. I heard Obi-Wan shouting my name as I got pushed onto the ground, holding my lightsaber in front of me to block the attacks. I lifted my feet and placed them in the Sith's stomach, pushing him with all my strength to get him off me and it worked. I threw him over me and Qui-Gon landed a few hits.

I ran to attempt to hit him again, drawing his attention away from Qui-Gon but the Sith pushed me and used the force to slam me into the wall, making me fall to the ground. I felt dazed and my body started to ache. I heard Obi-Wan's voice again, telling me to get up. I found the strength to stand not knowing where my lightsaber went. I watched as the two fought. Obi-Wan waited eagerly to join in and help his master. It was like everything was in slow motion. I saw Qui-Gon block the Sith's attacks only to get hit in the face, and I watched as the Sith put his saber through Qui-Gon, who fell to the floor. I heard Obi-Wan scream the same time I did. I lost any control I had and I was out for blood. I wasn't going to stop until one of us died. I noticed my lightsaber across from me and I picked it up quickly, turning it back on, and held it out in front of me.

"You're next." he walked toward me. I felt even more rage and sadness. The beam in front of Obi-Wan turned off and he stood next to me.

"Calm yourself, Kida. You won't win by being angry." he tried to tell me but I didn't acknowledge him. I didn't care if I was angry right now. Qui-Gon was dead.

"I think right now, Obi. I'm allowed to be."

I screamed and ran at the Sith. He easily deflected my attacks while Obi-Wan joined in. I knew the Sith was toying with me. I had zero training in using this weapon and I was holding my own. He was a trained killer, there was no way I was keeping up with him. As the Sith blocked Obi's attacks, I took the opportunity and saw an opening and swung my saber up, hitting the middle of his lightsaber, and watched it break in half. Obi-Wan jumped in front of me and wasted no time in the Sith's confusion and slashed his back. As the Sith tried to get away from Obi-Wan, I took my position and cut his arm. As soon as he turned around to hit me, Obi-Wan swung his saber, but the Sith blocked the attack by pushing Obi-Wan over the edge in the hole in the floor. I screamed as I watched him disappear over the edge. The Sith looked at me, kicking Obi-Wan's lightsaber over as well. I stood my ground, not knowing what to do, but I knew I wanted this man dead. If you even want to call him a man.

"Calm your emotions, Kida." I looked down and for the first time saw that I was standing next to Qui-Gon on the floor. "Feel the force and trust your instincts." I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths as I felt the anger leave me. When I opened my eyes, I prayed to the force if that was even a thing that I had the strength to avenge my friends. I went to hit the Sith, and each time I'm faster. I felt myself becoming confident after every swing and hit him even faster, making him falter. I managed to hit his hand and the Sith dropped his lightsaber as Obi-Wan appeared behind him and cut him in half. As the Sith fell over the edge I kicked his lightsaber just as he had done to Obi's. I looked up at Obi-Wan feeling too many emotions as I ran to Qui-Gon instead. I gently lifted his head into my lab as Obi-Wan held his hand.

"No, it's too late." he whispered. "Obi-Wan."

"No." Obi-Wan was on the verge of tears. I felt my heart breaking for him. But one thing stood out, this was my fault.

Qui-Gon looked up at me, and took my hand, putting it under Obi-Wan's, "Promise me you will train them."

"Yes, Master." Obi-wan looked down at his master, squeezing my hand as if I was his life support.

"Kida is special, do not lose her." he licked his lips, taking a slow, shallow breath, "The bond is strong between you two. One of them is the chosen one." he looked at me as he touched his apprentice one last time. "They will bring balance to the force. Train them." Qui-Gon closed his eyes and I felt him stop breathing.
