The words grated and she felt a tear threaten to fall as she glanced up from the floorboard she'd been studying. Then something caught her eye.
It was Dipper. He was waving through the window, and when he realized she had seen him, he made a show of winking and giving her a thumbs up before waving her towards him.
Her dad's caustic words faded into white noise, and a smile tugged at Pacifica's lips. It would be all right.
