Penny was trying to write a new song. Ashley was sleeping next to her.
Mona came by with the cups as Mugman was holding her hand and blushing like crazy. Cuphead was smirking at this.
"Girls, I have news!" Mona says.
"You're getting married?" Ashley says.
"Yes! Mugsy proposed to me at his childhood campground…" Mona says. "It was so romantic…"
"I'm so happy for you, Mona!" Penny says.
Mugman's face was a bit flushed with happiness as he held Mona's hand.
Meanwhile, Jason was lying on the ground as Angry Luigi arrived, holding Emma.
"Hey, buddy, I'm going to drop off Emma for the night, thanks, bye!" Angry Luigi says. Jason just looked at the ceiling.
That night, Lucy sees 2 bullies walking to an alley. She spied and gasped upon seeing her past enemies, that weird spy lady who tried sending them to space, then there was Morag, then that scientist Lisa sent to space, then there was Chandler, who seemed to hate Lincoln.
She walked up to them. "Okay, I don't know why you're plotting against Lincoln, but I'll end it here." Lucy says as they all gasped upon seeing her. The group then took off running.
Lucy sighed as she went to warn Lincoln.
"Hey, Lincoln." Lucy says, scaring him from behind.
"Lucy, you gotta stop doing that." Lincoln says.
"Look, a bunch of our enemies are banding together." Lucy says.
"So what? I can handle 'em." Lynn says.
"Sigh." Lucy says. "Look, I think I can make voodoo dolls of them so we can deal with them easily."
"That's no fun." Lynn says.
"Yeah, but it's less chaotic, plus I love voodoo dolls." Lucy says.
With the boys, they were training for the upcoming hero competition. Oliver Queen would actually be allowed to compete in it, under the condition that he doesn't steal anyone else's spotlight in the process.
"I thought we were training for the show?" Garth asked.
"We're going to do that, too. Oliver Queen isn't allowed to show train because he's forbidden from competing in it. For the rest of this season, at least." Luke says.
"That makes 2 competitions we're winning." Hal says.
"Yeah…even though we lost last year." Barry says.
"But we have Luke, Shane, and Atticus…wherever Atticus is." Hal says.
"Yeah, and Luke and Shane never lose." Garth says. "Except for last year."
With the Bard Experience, they were actually training for the ASTS finals. Even if they weren't slated to win, they were going to do their best.
Emma wasn't there, thankfully. The Bard coven was going to give their support to Skara and Raine. All of Hexside had heard the news about Raine and Skara being on ASTS and were planning a watch party for the finals.
With Remy, he was just practicing on his own. Stephen got called into his parents' bakery to work and Atticus was off training for the upcoming hero competition. Well, that's what he assumed, unaware Atticus was on another one of his adventures.
Haiku came to watch.
"Hey, Remy." Haiku says.
"Hey, Haiku. What brings you here?" Remy asked.
She blushed. "Wanna go on a date?"
"Too busy." he says. "But I can make time for you."
He then goes on a date with Haiku.
With Garrett, he was having second thoughts about this whole thing as he sat in his room.
Kylie was concerned. She often saw him like this after March Madness ended every year, but never before a show like this.
"Something on your mind, Garrett?" Kylie asked him.
"I'm scared. Also, I get the feeling we moved on because of hometown advantage." Garrett says.
She sighed and nodded. "You're right." Kylie says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies were trying to move in their own fake gravity chambers as they carried fake people.
"Damn it…" Alem tuber says, struggling.
"Too hard." Emma says as she falls down.
Drell facepalmed.
"I should be training for the show…" Emma says.
"We'll crush the competition at the hero competition." Melony says.
"Yeah!" Alem tuber says.
"You're only in those finals cause you got home court advantage." Emila says, causing Melony to growl.
"I'll support Emma." Savannah says. "And you too, Melony."
Melony just leaves. She had to find Garrett.
Meanwhile, Atticus was walking home. He finds Remy.
"Hey." Atticus says, a bit tired.
"Hey." Remy says, sitting on his couch. Haiku had left 10 minutes earlier, so it was just him.
"So, how are our chances?" Atticus says
"In the voting system, we're second." Remy says.
"Well, we tried, that's what matters." Atticus says.
"And like Stephen said, he wouldn't mind. He'd be too busy with planning his wedding and his family's bakery, anyway." Remy says.
Meanwhile
"Okay, Garrett, what's our winning game plan?" Melony asks. Garrett just looks at her.
"We have no chance." Cedric says.
"Of course we do." Melony says. "We're going to win."
"Some people say it's because you're on the team." Cedric says as that stunned Melony.
"You cosmic buddies aren't popular." Eduardo says.
"Guys, please stop…" Kylie says.
"So that's it, huh? Maybe I should leave." Melony says.
"Why?" Garrett asked.
"You heard them, you guys will only have a chance if you go without me." Melony says, a bit hurt.
"We only advanced to the finals because of home court advantage. My dad watched the votes being counted." Garrett says.
"So am I really that horrible?" Melony asked.
"No, you're not." Kylie says.
"According to the news and fans." Cedric says.
"My dad saw that the Foxes were supposed to move on. Not us. Home court advantage moved us to the finals. Nothing more, nothing less." Garrett says.
Melony stormed out. "Maybe we should quit. You guys seem ready to quit anyway."
"We're actually going to perform. The show opener, if you must know." Cedric says.
Melony walked out.
Meanwhile, Emma arrives home. "I'm home." Emma says.
"Hi, sweetheart." Skylia says.
Melony kicked the door down and sat on the couch.
"Hi." Emma says.
"It must suck knowing people hate you, right?" Melony asked.
"What?" Skylia asked.
"Apparently people don't want me and Emma on the show, and it pissed me off that my group got lucky…I won last season without luck and people say I don't have a chance. It's like my victory with the others didn't exist." Melony says.
"Well, it's okay to take a loss." Skylia says.
"Well, this is my last season, then I won't keep competing in a show where I lose to the same team." Melony says.
"Huh?" Emma asked.
"Luke in the past. He won everything. I was the one who broke the streak and it pissed fans off." Melony says.
"Wait, you beating Luke's team is why people hate us?" Emma asked.
"Yep." Melony says
"Looks like I should tell Skara I'm out. I don't want to be the reason she loses." Emma says, heartbroken.
"At least we have the hero competition. We can get our revenge there." Melony says.
"Charity is making the rules this time around. So you can't break them." Skylia says.
"Wait, why is she in charge? Last year, it wasn't even on this planet." Melony asked.
"Apparently, it's going to be on this planet this time around." Skylia says.
"Well, there goes our chances of winning." Melony says.
"She's going to judge fairly. She won't be playing favorites." Skylia says. "Just because her son is competing doesn't mean he'll win."
With the boys, Hal was thinking of their victory party as he was getting very cocky, as he always does.
"I mean, the Foxes aren't here, so there's not much of a challenge." Hal says.
"What do you mean they aren't here?" Luke asked.
"In the show, remember? They got eliminated so that means we got easy teams." Hal says.
"What about Raine?" Garth asked.
"Raine doesn't hold a candle to us." Hal says. "They're washed up."
Meanwhile, Emma finds Skara.
"I…I wanna leave the team. I know I'm holding you back." Emma sniffed.
"Skara, you can't honestly think of kicking your little sister off the team because the fans are asking you to." Amity says.
"I'm not going to do it to try and win the whole thing." Skara says. "That isn't why I'm there. I'm just going to try my best. That's all I can ever ask myself. Just to do my best. Win or lose, I had a great time. Those fans aren't going to stop us."
Emma was sniffling.
Meanwhile, Mona was walking by the hospital room and noticed Ashley looking down at vomit.
"Ashley!" Mona says as Ashley was wobbly and looking more pale, like she was dead.
Mona carried her to bed. Ashley looked dizzy.
"Please… win for me." Ashley sniffed. " Please…"
"Ha, you can count on me!" Mona says and leaves. She then winced, realizing that was a promise she may not be able to keep.
Lucy finds Cuphead.
"I swear, if you interfere in the performances in a few weeks, it's not going to be pretty." Cuphead says.
"I wanted to apologize." Lucy says.
"For?" Cuphead asked.
"Everything. I really love you." she says. Cuphead thinks.
She waits for him to say something.
"Well…" He says.
Lucy looks at him.
"I forgive you." Cuphead says. "But don't think I'm taking you back that easily. You have to earn my trust back."
Lucy winces and nods, but was unsure on how to earn it. But she would figure it out in time. She heads home and thinks of something.
