Ch 31 Meeting the Resistance

Eternal Palace

In the Throne room, Felix enters upon receiving word that the Anomaly Emperor has called for him. The blonde Boy walks up to his Servant, curious about what he wants. "Ruler, you called for me?" He asked.

Ruler of the Eternal Empire, or Karl der Grobe looks down at his master from his Throne. "The Chaldeans and those two Heroes are making trouble for the Empire." The Father of Europe stated, "Many of Hephaestus's creations were destroyed quite recently near the Louvre."

"Yes, I did hear about that from the many Watchers observing the Battles they have partaken in," Felix commented, placing his hand on his chin. "Have to say, that Chaldean master…Ritsuka Fujimaru, was it? I'm not surprised by what you told me that he commanded many Servants in the past." The Anomaly master chuckles,

"The proof of his ability to lead is right there," The blonde stated before Karl spoke.

The Ruler Servant sat up straight, "That's not the issue here, master." Karl der Grobe stated in a more dignified tone. "The issue is that they were at the Louvre and might have encountered the Mural."

Felix chuckles, hearing the worried Anomaly Emperor's statement. "I see, so the Enemy might have learned of it being here in the Empire." The blonde commented. "Though I highly doubt they would suspect that-"

"I'm afraid it's the most likely case, master." Karl der Grobe stated, his face covered by the shadows. "The fact that the Servant Altera the Hun came here prior to their arrival will shed some insights into the Anomaly."

"So what you're saying, Ruler is that Chaldea and the Heroes of Paris will come and destroy it along with the Moon Cell?" Felix asked his Servant, scoffing at the thought. "I highly doubt getting rid of the Moon Cell would do harm-"

Karl der Grobe shook his head at his master. "No, if the Chaldeans were to show themselves and destroy the Moon Cell then this Empire will be destroyed." The Servant stated, not wanting his perfect Empire to go to ruin. "No matter the cost, protect the Moon Cell and the energy source so this Empire will be perceived. Do I make myself clear?"

"Of course, Ruler. You worked your very hardest to create a Kingdom that you considered perfect." Felix inclined his head to the Anomaly Emperor. "As your master, I will support your goal and achieve eternal peace in your Eternal Empire,"

"Thank you for understanding my master." Ruler of the Eternal Empire thanked his master, "You may return to monitoring the Empire, I will make some necessary preparations for the Resistances and Chaldean attack on the Palace." He said, turning the Hephaestus behind his Throne.

Felix nodded, turning back to the door and heading towards his room. "Of course, I understand your dream Ruler, but we have other plans for the Moon Cell and the thing residing within it." He chuckles as he made his way back to his room and Foreigner of London.

Eternal Empire Steets

"All right, the main Base is just a block away from here," Viperion informed the group, heading down the path.

The group consists of all four masters of the Holy Grail War, including Machiavelli. Assassin, Tlaloc, Moriarty, Johanna, and Nero.

The others went back to the Base with the Summoning Circle, preparing it when the time came for them to return.

Ladybug looks around them, recognizing this place from the Past. "Hey, aren't we going to the Notre-Dame?" The bluenette asked, seeing her Parents' Bakery now Bar approaching them.

"Yes, the Resistance Base is set up underground beneath the Empire's feet." Assassin of the Resistance explains to the group. "The underground Facilities that were the result of a powerful being brought to the Lostbelt."

"But how come the Eternal Empire didn't notice that your Base is underground?" Chat Noir asked the Resistance members, curious how they were able to be hidden from the Empire's eyes.

"I'm curious too, when we were using the sewer systems there were at least a few platoons in the sewers keeping an eye out," Ritsuka stated, remembering the first time they used the sewers to Summon Servants.

Louis smiles, looking at the master of Chaldea. "Our Collaborator who cannot leave our Base is protecting the Base with a cloaking device." The master of the Resistance explains to Ritsuka. "With Caster providing protection, Archer, Assassin, and Berserker along with the others can go out and do the tasks that Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth asks us to do."

"Oh? So there are two more Servants on the side of Humanity here?" Nero asked, seeing there are more allies to recruit. "Are they able to provide aid in our Battle against the Empire?"

The teal-haired Hero looks at the Emperor of Roses. "Not quite, Berserker is off with Ryuko on a separate mission near the Prison and Caster is here protecting the Base." The Moon Cancer stated.

Morarity nodded, finding that understandable that a Caster was able to place a Bounded Field. "Curious, if your friend is a Caster Class Servant and hasn't made an appearance." He smiles at the blonde Boy beside him. "Am I to presume he isn't mobile?"

"Isn't mobile? Do you mean that he's the type of Servant who cannot move?" Johanna asked the young Crime Lord, now getting curious about the Collaborator who was helping the Resistance.

"You can say that Ruler." Assassin of the Resistance looks over with his blue eyes. "Caster is how do you say…integrated to the Base." The white-haired Servant informed the group, coming up to the Norte-Dame.

"We're here," Both Assassin and Louis stood before the abandoned Historical Building.

The Servants and masters stood before the entrance of the Norte-Dame. "So where is this entrance to your main Base?" Archer of Kosala asked the group.

They went inside and suddenly met with three Golden Hands surrounding the entrance. "Divine Arms of the Dawn!?" Ritsuka exclaims, recognizing the Divine Hands.

Ladybug and Chat Noir became defensive, ready to fight these strange Hands. "Divine what!?" Chat asked, unsure what these things are.

"Are they Enemies created by the Empire?" Ladybug asked everyone around her,

".No, wait!" Louis halted the Chaldeans from attacking the Hands.

"Louis? Why did you-"

Viperion steps forward, supporting his Nephew's actions. "Louis is right, these Hands are a security system that Caster placed in case any Enemy Programs found this place." The Hero of Intuition explains to the group, walking up to the Hands. "If I stand here, then the door will show itself-"

The Divine Hands scanned Viperion then Louis before scanning the Chaldeans with their Servants. -ZZZ- Access Granted: Moon Cancer and master Louis Agreste welcome back.-ZZZ- A familiar voice to Ritsuka greeted the Parisians back. -ZZZ- Welcome as well, Chaldean master and his Servant. -ZZZ-

"That voice, it can't be." Ritsuka recognized that voice as the flooring beneath them started to descend.

Johanna was caught off guard by the sudden shift on the floor. "I-Is this suppose to move like this!?" She asked, not expecting something like that to happen.

Louis looks over to the Female Pope, seeing the panic on his Father's Servant's face. "Yeah, it's just Caster welcoming us to the Main Base and all!" He chirped.

"Does this mean, this Caster is connected to the Resistance Base?" Nero asked, curious, who was powerful enough to do so. The only people who were considered to control a territory is a powerful Caster Servant or Machine God.

Louis looks up as they continue heading downwards. "Hmmm…Caster is a bit different from a regular Caster from what I have been told." He explains.

"What do you mean by that, Louis?" Ladybug asked,

Viperion looks over to the bluenette Hero, "You have to see Caster to understand what we mean by connected to the Base." The Hero of Intuition explains to the young Hero.

Ritsuka lets out a small chuckle, knowing what the two means. "Ritsuka? Why are you laughing?" Chat Noir asked the master of Chaldea, unsure why he was chuckling.

Johanna looks over her current master, "I believe Fujimaru knows what both Viperion and your Son mean." The Ruler Servant explains to the blonde Hero.

"Ah, I see." Adrien nodded, "So does that mean-"

Suddenly the floor stopped, causing a few to stumble upon the sudden stop. Nero was caught by her master, almost falling to the ground. "Saber, are you all right?" Ritsuka asked the Saber-face.

"Umu, much appreciate

"We're here," Assassin of the Resistance informed the group.

Ladybug was being helped by her Boyfriend. "We're here?" She looks up around them, seeing a dimly lit hallway.

"Is this the Resistance Main Base?" Chat asked, looking around the metallic hallway.

"I assume this is just the hallway to the real Main Base, Assassin?" Morarity asked the former member of the Revenge Realm.

The white-haired Assassin nodded, stepping forward to take the lead. "Indeed, the rest of the Leaders are inside being protected by Caster's Bounded Field." The Servant explains, guiding them down the hallway,

The group approaches the door with an orange circle. "Caster, we're here with the Chaldeans, Past Ladybug, and Chat Noir!" Louis steps forward, standing in front of them.

"Master Louis, welcome back. I take it you snuck through my defenses to meet with your Parents?" The orange circle asked the young blonde Boy.

Both Ladybug and Chat Noir were taken aback by how Human-like this orange circle spoke. "I shouldn't expect that an AI would be speaking like a Human-"

"I may not be a Human, but I have spent many months understanding their mindset." Caster spoke to the young Heroes before him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot that you are a Servant and have knowledge of the Modern Era." Ladybug apologizes to the Caster Servant, being brief on Servants before.

Chat nodded, looking up at the AI. "To be honest, I didn't expect an AI to be a Servant." The Hero of Destruction commented.

Caster chuckles, getting why these two were not expecting him to be a Servant. "Servants come in many shapes and sizes, young Heroes." The circle looks over to Ritsuka, "You have experienced these kinds of Servants, am I right, Ritsuka Fujimaru?"

The two Heroes look over at Ritsuka, seeing that Caster knows the Magus. "Ritsuka, do you know Caster?" Chat Noir asked their friend.

"Caster, how were you able to be reactivated? I thought Alter Ego has corrupted your Systems with his virus." Ritsuka asked the AI before him.

"Wait, virus? What's going on, Ritsuka?" Ladybug asked the Magus.

"Preator, I believe this conversation is better spoken in a suitable place," Nero spoke, stretching her legs. "We've been running for quite a bit since we left the Louvre." The Roman Emperor stated,

"I have to agree with Saber on that point," Machiavelli commented, adding her thoughts to the conversation. "As much as I would love to see us collaborating on what to do with the Empire's defeat, the information I have on me is crucial and not to speak out loud."

Prometheus said then beeped, opening the doors for the wary group. "Then let us discuss this meeting inside the Facility." He stated, welcoming the Chaldeans inside. "I welcome you to the Resistance Base, Chaldeans. Please, make yourselves at home."

Everyone saw the doors open, revealing a large Facility. Many Parisians went around from corridor to corridor, doing what they can do for their eventual Battle with the Eternal Empire.

Lights shine bright, causing the Chaldeans and Heroes to shield their eyes from the intensity. Once they lowered their arms, they saw the many things happening within the Base.

"There are so many people here," Tlaloc commented, seeing the Parisians hiding from the surface. "From my predictions, these people are the same amount as what you call a neighborhood." The Pretender commented.

"Indeed, so this is where the inhabitants of those abandoned Apartments above went too," Johanna added, smiling at that they managed to escape the Empire's grasp.

Moriarty was skeptical of the sight before him, he couldn't help but make a face when he gazed upon the Resistance Soldiers both here and in the other Bases.

"This is amazing," The bluenette Hero exclaims, seeing the many Parisians gathered in the Base. "With these people gathered here, we got an army to counter the Empire's army." Ladybug cheered.

"Seems like you have a good eye when you see an opportunity," Machiavelli commented, seeing the potential in the young Hero as a leader.

Ladybug gave a nervous laugh, hearing what her former Enemy was saying. "U-Um, thank you…Machiavelli." She smiles, trying to attempt a friendship with the Caster.

"Louis, Viperion, Assassin, do you think with-"

Chat Noir paused, noticing the Ruler's skeptical expression. Curious, he looks up at the grey-haired man, "Ruler, why are you making that face?" He asked the Ruler Servant.

"You may think that these are enough to fight off the Empire's forces," Moriarty stated, looking at the Soldiers going around like people in a warehouse. "However, from the many Resistance Soldiers coming in and going, I assume everyone gathered here is the main force." The Crime Lord stated.

"WAIT! THIS IS ALL OF YOUR SOLDIERS!?" Chat Noir exclaims at the Resistance's Military numbers,

Ritsuka crossed his arms, seeing that this was a problem. "With the majority of the Servants in separate bases and Assassin's Platoon at one of them...then your army is less than half compared to the Eternal Empire's Army." The Magus's eyes widen at the numbers the Resistance has.

"Wow, that's small for a Resistance movement," Ladybug commented, seeing why most of the Parisians she has seen were all down with the blues. "No wonder many of the Soldiers we've seen were down."

Louis nodded, confirming what the Chaldean master said. "Y-Yes, even if we're one of the most populated Cities in our time, the Enemy Programs and other Machines have been cracking down on people who break laws set by the Emperor. Some were taken to the Prison while others were killed off." The young master explains why they have few numbers.

"Are we presuming that the rest of your forces are being held prisoner in their Prison?" Tlaloc asked the members of the Resistance.

"Yes, that's right. Saber and Berserker have a small Platoon stationed near the Prison-"

"Louis!" The blonde Boy flinched upon hearing a stern voice calling out his name.

Everyone turns around, seeing an elder version of Gabriel Agreste with an older version of Nathalie following him as they approach them.

"G-Grandfather! I-I can explain-" Louis gave a nervous laugh, seeing his Grandfather's angry expression.

"Louis, how many times do I need to tell you not to leave the Base!" Gabriel scolded his Grandson for the hundredth time for sneaking out of Prometheus's Base. "Who knows what would happen to you if you're caught by those Machines!" The former Villian scolded,

Ladybug looks over to Nathalie, seeing her notice them. She leans over to her Partner, feeling like they should say something to him. "(Chat, say something. I don't think it's right for Louis to be scolded like that.)" The bluenette whispers to the blonde Hero.

Chat nodded then looks at his Father, stressed by his Future Son's action. He opens his mouth, however, Assassin placed his hand on his shoulders. "(I'll handle this,)"

"Assassin," Chat and Ladybug look at the Servant his Son Summoned approaching his Father.

"Gabriel," The elderly man looks over to the Servant, hearing him call his name. "I get that you are concerned over master, however, he did well today." Assassin of the Resistance spoke to the other leader of the Resistance.

Gabriel looks at the white-haired Servant, raising his bow at him. "What do you mean, Assassin? Louis might've gotten hurt-"

"Louis Agreste manage to find us." The Party paused, hearing Ritsuka speak out, cutting their conversation.

The old Fashion Designer looks at the young man with blue eyes. "Us? Young man, who are you?" Gabriel asked the Chaldean master. "You said that my Grandson found you all, are you-wait… are you perhaps…"

"Gabriel, these are the Chaldeans that Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth has spoken about," Viperion explains to the former Villian on who these people were.

"The Chaldeans? You mean the master of Chaldea?" The room went silent, hearing Gabriel announce the arrival of Ritsuka and the others in the base.

The Resistance members whisper among themselves, hearing what the former Villain said.

"Did Mr. Agreste say that the Chaldean master's here?" A Woman asked her friend.

"The one that Caster spoke of?" Another said, looking at the group that just entered their Base. She then spots two more people with both Louis and the Chaldean master. "Hold on, do those two look a lot like Ladybug and Chat Noir?"

"Yeah, they look awfully look similar to those two."

A man took a closer look at the two Heroes from the Present. "Didn't Caster of the Sakura Labyrinth say they came from the Past? Before the whole Eternal Empire came and changed everything?" He asked his fellow Resistance member.

"I do remember Caster and the others said something around those lines." His eyes widen, realizing what this means. "Does that mean that those two are actually-"

"It's a possibility, the must be the past Ladybug and Chat Noir then!" Many people were now conversing with each other, realizing that there was still hope for returning Paris back to its original state.

Nathalie looks around the Base, hearing the conversation among their members. She looks back at the new people in their base. "Gabriel, everyone, we should discuss this in the meeting room." The Assistant suggested to the people around them.

"I agree, there are too many people here for this." Moriarty agrees with the blue-haired Woman before them.

Gabriel and the others nodded, "Follow us, we have a meeting room where we can discuss everything in private." One of the Leaders of the Resistance said.

Ritsuka nodded, "Lead the way, Mr. Agreste." With that, they all follow the old man further into the Base.
