Thank you to everybody who read or reviewed the last conversation. You are all absolutely lovely. Thank you so much. We're still in the good timeline. I'm seriously considering making ID numbers like they do for the Marvel wiki for timelines that do not have official designations. It would make things significantly less confusing.

Happy Eternals weekend. I am posting this chapter before I go see the movie on Saturday. Remember our rule, no spoiler discussions in the comments for 30 days. You can of course PM me on ff dot net if you want to discuss anything.

Spoiler warning: This chapter contains references to Black Widow. Of course, everything has been twisted for this timeline.

Quick reminder on codenames:

Purple Arrow = Clint

Red Spider = Natasha

BITC = Ned

The New Consultant = MJ

Agent America = Agent Melinda May

new:

Deputy Director Hart = Acting Deputy Director Phil Coulson

I might need to update the Princess annotations soon with everybody's codenames. Or maybe I should make part two of the Princess annotations a separate entry?

Conversation 39: At least we know where they are now

Purple Arrow: Hey, when exactly are you getting here?

Red Spider: We're landing in five. Agent America is with me. However, the boyfriend is staying behind to get POTUS to pull his head out of his ass on this. We don't think agent will be successful, but he's also looking for the Director of SWORD.

Purple Arrow: Good. We just got messages from your girlfriend. You need to read them.

Red Spider: Ana won't push them to me until I'm at the compound. Security concerns.

Purple Arrow: Daisy is fine. She stuck with Loki and keeps vacillating between wanting to quake him and needing him to survive, but she's fine. It's just been a really long 340 hours for her.

Red Spider: Wait, what? It's been two days, not nearly two weeks? Was that a typo? 34 hours is less, but I assume it would take a while for a message to get to us from wherever she is.

Purple Arrow: Not a typo.

Red Spider: ?

Purple Arrow: I'm not a super genius, but the science team consensus is she was thrown back in time about two weeks. We're just now getting her messages.

Red Spider: Your wife is currently stuck in October 2023. Daisy ending up in the past does not surprise me but shouldn't that cause a timeline branch?

Purple Arrow: I've been listening to Fitzsimmons Junior, Purple Princess, the Genius Princess, and the monkey lovers argue for the last 20 minutes about the elasticity of time. The working theory is neither Daisy nor her travel companion did anything to cause the timeline to branch. Fitzsimmons Junior believes that time is more elastic than we think. Leo argued that he managed to create a new timeline just by landing in Hunter's lap.

Purple Arrow: The term stable time loop has been thrown about multiple times. So much that I'm about 30 seconds from getting my knockout arrows and shooting people. I'm starting with Fitzsimmons Junior.

Red Spider: I think Dr. Leopold landing in Hunter's lap is what caused the branching timeline.

Red Spider: Or at least Bobbi says that's the moment that ended her and Hunter for good.

Purple Arrow: From what I read in the other timeline, they were together when Bobbi disappeared.

Red Spider: That is definitely a departure from how things went here. Hunter and Bobbi were already falling apart when they dropped in on me. Leo was only back for about two weeks at that point. I didn't even know Steve successfully got all of you out of the Raft. I thought I was mounting a rescue mission, and Mason brought me help. Agent 13 and Hunter were freelance mercenaries at that point.

Purple Arrow: That makes sense.

Red Spider: Instead, Leo told me I had loose ends to clean up from Dreykov. Although I didn't find out Leo was a time traveler for a while.

Purple Arrow: And the Superior was a loose end?

Red Spider: That and preventing us from having the worst president possible. Dreykov had his hands in everything. Some things were still in motion even after destroying The Red Room permanently. I would've preferred the other person to have won, but it could've been so much worse.

Purple Arrow: I read. Thankfully he was snapped. Unfortunately, that resulted in Ross as president, which led to inhuman internment camps. Ross blamed Thanos winning on Daisy and Yo-Yo to get his way.

Red Spider: Fucking asshole. Now I want to go over to the other timeline to punch Ross out for disrespecting my girlfriend's memory.

Purple Arrow: Eventually, you need to tell me the story of how you ended up with Daisy. Seriously, how did that happen?

Red Spider: May sent me a letter through Bobbi asking for my help.

Red Spider: Philip just informed me that I have two personal emails from Daisy. I will try to read them before the meeting.

Red Spider: We just landed, by the way. Which means I now have access to what Daisy sent.

Purple Arrow: Good luck. I think the meeting is starting the moment the Chief Mechanic arrives.

Xxx

Agent America: We just arrived at the compound.

Deputy Director Hart: Good to know.

Agent America: Did you read the messages from Daisy? I've barely had time to glance.

Deputy Director Hart: Yes, at least she's safe.

Agent America: With the person who stabbed you.

Deputy Director Hart: Who Daisy thinks may have been under the influence of the scepter. Considering Stark made murder bots when mind fucked, I am slightly less inclined to hate him. People change, even Asgardians.

Agent America: You read the report from Bruce 2023?

Deputy Director Hart: Valkyrie, actually. Although she wasn't there. She only heard it from Thor. Apparently, he couldn't stop crying when he told her about his brother getting murdered in front of him, trying to protect him from Thanos. I am at least willing to give Loki the benefit of the doubt. It helps that I didn't stay dead.

Agent America: You're too good. In the other timeline, your injuries from New York eventually killed you permanently.

Deputy Director Hart: I am going to blame that on AIDA and Radcliffe. I am really grateful that Leo kept that from happening.

Agent America: Are we still sending Robbie to get Daisy?

Deputy Director Hart: Possibly. We might need him to help retrieve some of the stones. I think Daisy sent us a possible lead on another one. Given that she's relatively safe for the moment, we need to prioritize getting the stones.

Deputy Director Hart: Besides, we know that they do get off the planet eventually. It might be more efficient to just send her that information and let her rescue herself. She's good at that.

Agent America: I taught her well. Is this a different stone than the one that should be on [Redacted]?

Agent America: Philip ?

Philip: It was decided that in case transmissions are intercepted, all locations of the stones will be redacted. This information will only be given to the leadership circle. However, I will confirm that Daisy did pass a potential location for another stone. After the meeting, the leadership circle will decide if Robbie should go there.

Agent America: Which I'm not a member of.

Deputy Director Hart: By choice, I wanted to make you Director of SHIELD. You are in another timeline. I'm so glad we dodged a bullet with Jeffrey.

Agent America: Because of Leo. Also, because my other self had no choice. You were gone.

Deputy Director Hart: Daisy wrote me a separate message. Actually, that's where she placed the code about the other stone.

Agent America: Did she explain exactly what she had to do to get the codes to the grandmaster ships? I'm concerned with her labeling it a code honeypot. Even if Loki is the honeypot.

Deputy Director Hart: No, although I assume lots of alcohol was involved.

Agent America: Probably. Also, are you aware that Stark changed your call sign to Deputy Director Hart?

Deputy Director Hart: I'll have Philip fix it later. Still slightly better than Agent Agent.

Agent America: Marginally.

Xxx

BITC: I am so sorry. I shouldn't have fanboyed the way I did. I sometimes forget that even though Quake is a superhero, she is still your cousin first. You love her and worry about her when she's doing really cool things. I know the superhero thing freaks you out. Every time [redacted] and Aifa go to save the world, we're constantly texting each other the entire time, so I can calm you down. Except when they're saving our asses. But you get what I mean.

BITC: Afia said that you got messages from Daisy. Is she OK?

The New Consultant: Yes. Or as OK as you can be on a strange alien planet with the person who killed your father figure as your only ally. There's probably fanfic about Quake and the God of Lies teaming up.

BITC: Currently on Freaking Cool, there are 35 Daisy/Loki stories. 21 of them have been written since Friday. Half are rated E. There were also an additional 45 Loki & Daisy stories. 35 of those have been written since Friday.

BITC: In contrast, spiderquake has about a thousand. Most of those have been written after people found out that Quake is your cousin. Actually, you are in some of the stories. You keep setting up your cousin with Spider-Man. It's weird. Also, in half of the stories, Spider-Man is Tony's secret love child or lab-created clone.

The New Consultant: I really don't want people writing RPF stories about me. What's the most popular spider ship?

BITC: You don't want to know.

The New Consultant: I just looked. I was really better off not knowing. This is really weird considering how many people have Spider-Man as Tony's kid.

BITC: There are usually different groups. Also, everybody assumes that Spider-Man is actually an adult. I don't ship shame, at least when it comes to fictional character ships. For my sanity, I am going to consider the characters in the story as 100% fictional. Especially the ones starring Billy, the 25-year-old blonde model by day, Spider-Man by night.

The New Consultant: That's probably for the best.

BITC: It is weird when they are writing about people I know in real life. Especially when they get it so wrong. I think this is why Ana has such strict parental controls regarding the site, especially for Ms. Marvel.

The New Consultant: Probably. I accept your apology. I should have called you Friday. I just don't want to cause more problems with your mom.

BITC: You're not on the banned list.

The New Consultant: Because she told me directly not to call you.

BITC: I am so exhausted right now. Can't she just let me live my life? Afia promised to find me a good custody lawyer. I want to live with my dad full time.

The New Consultant: I'm sure she will. Hey, I have to go. We're doing a group meeting in like two minutes.

BITC: Am I allowed to be at that meeting?

The New Consultant: Avenger/Shield/Wakanda government personnel only. I think they're only allowing me in the room because Daisy was involved.

BITC: I can accept that. But you will tell me everything Tuesday though? Apparently, we're supposed to meet at Flash's apartment after class.

The New Consultant: Actually, we might be able to do it after class Monday. It depends on when we get back to the city. I'll know more later. It might be sooner now that we know where Daisy is.

BITC: That makes sense.

The New Consultant: Sorry, I really have to go. Afia says I have to get Flash to behave. Apparently, sitting on Peter's lap is only doing so much.

BITC: ?

To be continued.
