Ch 47 The Fall of the Empire

Karl der Grobe's Mecha Body fell on the City, and the inhabitants of the room toppled due to Tenochtitlan punching the Mech.

The Throne room was in shambles, once stood towering pillars leading the throne now in rubble. Velvet decorations lined the ceilings and walls dangled to the side, either ripped or completely unscathed.

Rubble moved as Moriarty and Johanna removed the rubble from them. Underneath them were Louis, Xu Fu, and Ritsuka. "Master, are you alright?" Moriarty asked his master.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Ritsuka rolled his shoulders, he then looked at Louis knowing he wasn't durable like him or his Parents. "Louis, are you alright?" He asked,

Xu Fu moved off the blonde Boy, helping him to his knees. "He's alright, I used my Sage Arts to protect him during the fall." She explains,

"Man, did Tlaloc really need to punch that hard?" Louis asked, knowing that punch was from that Pretender. "I mean it's good that she manages to bring down Karl, she can at least pull her punches." The young master commented before looking around the room.

"Wait, what about…"

Another pile of rubble moved, revealing Octavius protecting his master and Chat Noir. "That Pretender wasn't holding, but I'm glad she did. Karl der Grobe's Noble Phantasm is not a threat anymore." The Saber stated, looking down at her master and her Boyfriend. "Are you two unscathed?"

Ladybug groans, holding her head. "Y-Yeah, we're fine." She looks up at her Servant, appreciating him for protecting them. "Chat?" She looks over to her Partner, wondering if he's alright.

"Yeah, thanks for asking." Chat smiles, his eyes shifting to Ritsuka seeing him with their Son safely. "Louis seems to be fine too," He informed his Girlfriend.

"That's a relief, how about Charlie and Nero?" The bluenette asked, looking to the side where said Servants were standing.

Ritsuka saw his Sabers standing before the Throne, where a certain Anomaly Emperor lay. He got up, making his way to them. "Master, where are you going?" Johanna asked the master of Chaldea.

The Magus heads towards his Servants, turning to the Ruler. "Johanna, Xu Fu, Moriarty stay with Louis, I'm going to Nero and Charlie," Ritsuka told the Servants.

"Ritsuka-" Louis felt a hand on him, looking up to see the Pope.

"Of course," Johanna responded, holding onto the blonde master.

Charlie and Nero stood before Karl, badly injured but still alive. "He's still alive," Nero pointed out to the King of the Franks. "What do you want to do about him?" She asked,

The King of the Franks steps forward, staring down at his Counterpart. "Well, considering that we defeated you, my other self. It's only right to finish you off." Charlie said, about to raise his Sword to do the deed.

"W-Wait…"

Charlie froze, seeing Karl coughing and asking him to stop before he killed him. He lowers his Holy Sword, looking at Nero to see if she heard him speak. She nodded, prompting him to respond to his plea. "Is it your last word before you die, Karl? Cause if so, I can at least let you speak." He said as Ritsuka came over.

Karl's eyes shift to Ritsuka, happy he was here. "Good, the master of Chaldea is here." He said, relieved he was here.

"Karl der Grobe, what is it you want to tell us?" Ritsuka asked, hearing his plea when his Grandfather was about to kill Karl.

"I-It's my master," Karl der Grobe said, "You must stop him…"

"Stop him?" Chat asked, walking behind the Chaldeans with Ladybug and Octavius. "What is Felix planning?" He asked, wanting to know what his Cousin's plan was.

"Do you mean to tell us that establishing the Eternal Empire isn't Felix's goal?" Ladybug asked the Anomaly Emperor, thinking that it was Felix behind this Lostbelt.

Karl der Grobe coughs, answering the Hero of Creation's question. "Of course not, the Lostbelt was all me. This is a chance to have the Empire I always dreamed of creating." The Ruler stated before getting to the point. "But that is not its purpose."

Nero crosses her arms, hearing what Karl is saying. "Then what is it, Karl der Grobe? What is the purpose of Patricius?" The Emperor of Roses asked.

"Its purpose…is to prevent the second coming of the Leukosmachia." The Anomaly Emperor stated,

With that term, that title, everyone's eyes widen at what Karl der Grobe said. "W-What did you say?" Ritsuka asked, his voice fading at what was revealed.

"Y-You mean to say that…there's going to be a second Leukosmachia?" Charlie asked, wanting to confirm what he said. "As the White Titian will return!?"

"White Titian? You mean that mural we saw at the Louvre?" Ladybug asked, remembering what was told during their investigation there. "But that happened thousands of years ago! How can a second coming of that even happen!?" She asked.

"Believe it or not, it is coming." Karl der Grobe confirms what was to come. "I'm sure you were told that the Moon Cell fell to Earth in France in other timelines right? Then I won't delve into what happened in Proper Human History."

Everyone listened to Karl der Grobe as he told them what he knew. "In other Timeline, Humans manage to use the Moon Cell's technology to advance their Civilization, reaching the end goal of all Humans that Humanity strives for."

"However, in most timelines, this didn't come to fruition." The Ruler stated, explaining what happened, "In those timelines, Humans used the Moon Cells to their advantage for a time. But they accidentally awakened something slumbering within it."

"Sefar, the White Titian was awoken by the Humans on a whim. She ravages the Earth once more, turning the Planet into a Sea of Nothing." Karl der Grobe explains to the Chaldeans and Heroes what occurred in the timelines that Sefar awoke. "Due to the lack of Magical Energy in this Dimension, Heroic Spirits were unable to come nor Counter Guardians to prevent the Scientist from awakening Sefar."

"Not even the Miraculous Holders could stop Sefar from her ravaging." Karl der Grobe finishes, "This timeline we're in is one of those timelines where Sefar awakens."

Chat spoke up, "But Sefar didn't wake yet. Why is he-"

"Because I've been using Sefar's Magical Energy to keep it asleep!" The Ruler exclaims, revealing that he was actually protecting Humanity in his own right, by establishing an Empire and using her Magical Energy to prevent the awakening. "The Magical Energy from Sefar was used to power myself, the Attack Programs, everything to keep it dormant. However, my true master's appearance and plan to save this Empire from Sefar changes things, even recruiting Felix from the Past and Summoning Dorian Grey, the Foreigner has caused the World to see this as a threat."

Chat recognizes that name, a name from a famous Novel that everyone reads at one point. "Dorian Grey, as in the character in the book The Pictures of Dorian Grey!? He's the enemy that we need to face!?" The Hero of Destruction asked if he knew about Edmond Dantes from Ritsuka, but another Fictional Character.

"I can tell from encountering Dorian Grey that he's a dangerous Person," Ladybug commented before asking about him. "What makes him dangerous?"

Ritsuka turns to the two Heroes, "He's a Foreigner Servant, a Servant infused with an Outer God. In other words, he's infused with a being similar to Cthulhu."

"C-Cuthlu!?" Ladybug coughs, hearing about that Creature from those Fictional stories about it. "I-Isn't that a bit overkill to be a Servant of Humanity? I mean an Eldritch God with powers unknown limit of power can be really called a Hero!?"

Ritsuka turns to the bluenette Hero, "Chaldea does employ Foreigner Servants to protect Humanity, but they do need to keep themselves in check because their Outer God's power can overpower them." He explains before asking the major question about Dorian Grey. "Karl. Who is the Outer God within Dorian Grey?" He asked.

Everyone listens closely, preparing themselves for who Dorian Grey is driving power from. "A being that can travel throughout the Dimensional Planes." Karl der Grobe said, "His name is Daoloth, the Parter of Veils. He can see the Past and the Future events through Dimensions and even cross between them."

"The moment you destroyed the Holy Grail in your World, Ritsuka Fujimaru allowed Dorian Grey to expand the tears between Dimensions." Karl der Grobe explains who the Foreigner of London is. "That's who your next Enemy is."

Ritsuka knew something was off when he had Arturia destroy the Holy Grail Voldemort had within him. The Archangels were one instant but now with this information, he can confirm that it was the master's plan to have him destroy the Grail.

"Daoloth? I never heard of that name before." Moriarty said, having the time to read over the information Chaldea has on Outer Gods.

"Outer Gods is something out of my knowledge and I know quite a bit of fiction." Chat Noir said, having read many Novels before. "The only thing I know of Outer Gods as you say, is Cthulhu."

Louis nodded, agreeing with his Father on that notion. "Cthulhu is well-known, even to someone who doesn't know Outer Gods from Lovecraft's work." The blonde master said, "But that's not important, we need to know where Felix and Dorian are now!" He reminded everyone of the situation.

"Umu, thanks for the reminder, Louis," Nero said, looking at Karl der Grobe for answers. "Karl, where is your master and Foreigner?" The Rose Emperor asked.

The Ruler turns his head, staring at the Moon Cell. "Beneath where the Eiffel Tower was, there's an entrance that leads inside the Moon Cell." Karl der Grobe informed the Chaldeans where to find his master. "I use the Body of the White Titian as a source of Energy. Now he and Dorian Grey are heading there, stop him before he awakens Sefar."

Ritsuka nodded, seeing the urgency of their situation. "Of course, come on everyone! There's no moment to lose!" Everyone nodded following the master of Chaldea to the exit.

Louis however stopped for a second, "Wait, Assassin. What about…" He looks around, seeing no trace of his Servant.

"Now it's not the time, Louis," Charlie said, standing next to the young master. "We're on borrowed time and have a long way to go from here to the Moon Cell."

"But what about your Servant status? Nothing happened yet and you're still-"

Charlie chuckles, patting the blonde Boy. "Don't worry about it now. There are other things major than a simple Servant status." He spoke.

"But-"

"Louis! Let's go, we found an exit!" Ladybug called out to her Son.

Louis looks at where the group is headed before looking at Charlie. "I'll be right there; I'm taking the flank." The King of the Franks stated.

The young Boy nodded, "We'll be waiting." Louis quickly joined the others, leaving Charlie to take the rear.

Once Louis left, John materialized next the Charlie, still retaining the wounds he received. "Damn, that's probably the last time I use my Astral form. I'm on my last Magical Energy reserve." John Wilkes Booth said.

"Heh, so you merely hid your presence from your own master." Karl looks over to the Assassin, lying on the same ground as him. "Any reason why you hide from him?"

The white-haired Servant smiles, "Louis would probably have convinced the master of Chaldea and his Parents to bring me along with them." John said, knowing his master's thoughts. "And I know for a fact I would slow them down."

Charlie took note of John's sacrifice by staying behind. "At least Louis knows that you did your best to save his Home." The King of the Franks said, seeing the Assassin satisfied with knowing he did his best for his master.

Charlie then looked at Karl, still having more to say. "Now, I think you know what's next, my other self." The Saber said.

"Indeed, seeing that I'm no longer in any condition to fight. I think it's best to give you what I have stolen." Karl said, digging into his chest and plucking out his Spirit Origins.

"Wait, that's not what I meant. You don't need to-"

"Your Summoning was incomplete. I have the memories of Traum and the full power of us." Karl der Grobe said, handing his Spirit Origins to Charlie. "It's only right for the living Charlemagne to take over when one is at his limit." He said.

Charlie was hesitant but obliged to take the Anomaly Emperor's Spirit Origins. "If it means to protect this World's Proper Human History then, all right. I'll take your power for myself." He said, taking the Spirit Origins from his other self's hands.

Once Charlie took the Spirit Origins, he heard his Grandson calling for him. "Gotta go, sure you two want to stay here?" The Saber asked,

"We're good as dead now. We won't do any good helping to stop Felix." John said, closing his eyes. "I'm just gonna watch how things play out. Good luck, Chaldeans."

"I as well, I have no right to join you after what I have done." Karl der Grobe said, deciding to stay behind with the Assassin Servant. "I too wish you Chaldeans luck, stop Felix and Dorian Grey at any cost."

Charlie nodded, hearing what his other self said. "You bet on it," He turns around, leaving the two Servants behind.

Once he left, John turned to Karl, seeing him lying. "Heh, you probably can help. You just don't want to make the People feel uncomfortable when you appear." The white-haired Assassin said, understanding his reason.

"I shouldn't expect someone who's in-depth in keeping secrets to lecture me. You have a fair share of secrets you kept hidden from your master." Karl der Grobe chuckles, his eyes not leaving from the Assassin.

"It's only to get the Chaldeans and my master here. Lying and deception can do wonders if you use them right." John said, knowing how to manipulate others into doing what needed to be done.

Karl der Grobe chuckles, finding that humor from the Person who killed a President. "You know, if you were Summoned to my side then we'll work better than what I had with Dorian and Marie." The Ruler said. "Most likely we'll find a way to fully terminate Sefa's Soul."

The Assassin scoffs, seeing that scenario will never happen. "Too bad, I think you work great siding with Proper Human History, more inclined with the master of Chaldea." John Wilkes Booth commented, seeing him genuinely caring for Humans although in his own way.

Karl went silent, pondering on the thought.

Back outside, Ritsuka climbed out of the fallen Mech with Ladybug and Chat Noir. "We're out," He said as Ladybug joined him.

"Huh? Where did the Resistance go? I thought they were still out here." The bluenette Hero commented, searching for the Army.

"Huh, they must be celebrating back at Prometheus Base-huh? What is that sound?" Chat asked, hearing a beeping sound nearby. He turns his head, seeing Ritsuka's Spirit Origin Watch flashing. "Hey, Ritsuka, I think someone is calling you from Chaldea."

Ritsuka looks down, realizing they weren't within Karl der Grobe's Mech. "You're right, Chat Noir. We managed to defeat Karl der Grobe so communication should be possible." He quickly answers the call, hearing a voice coming from the other end.

-ZZZ- H-Hello? Director Fujimaru? Did we get through? -ZZZ- Ginny asked, trying all sorts of ways to better relay.

"Yes, Ginny it's me. Communications have been restored once we've defeated Karl der Grobe." Ritsuka smiles, happy to hear the voice of a Chaldean Staff.

-ZZZ- Ah, Commander Goldolf! We've successfully established a proper connection with the director! -ZZZ- Ginny informed the Magus behind her.

Goldolf quickly took over the comms, and Sion, Holmes, and Mashu joined in. -ZZZ- Ah, director you really scared us there for a second. -ZZZ- Goldolf said, relieved to hear their main fighter was alright. -ZZZ- We lost communication once you entered the body of Karl der Grobe. Speaking about the Anomaly Emperor, have you really defeated Karl der Grobe? -ZZZ- The head of the Musik Family asked.

Nero smiles, stepping into the conversation. "Umu! Of course, chubby! We taught that silly Emperor a lesson on being a proper Emperor to an Empire!" She turns her head to Ladybug's Servant. "Plus we got the great Octavius here with us. Ladybug did her part so well that she managed to Summon him!"

Ladybug blushed, hearing the compliments from the Saber. "R-Really, I didn't do much. I just told them what Karl der Grobe was doing is wrong." The Hero of Creation said.

"Still, that is enough to bring me right to you, master," Octavius answered, grinning at the bluenette.

Chat frowns, stepping in between them. "Hey, I get that you're my Lady's Servant but don't give goo goo eyes on her." The blonde Hero said, protecting his Lady from other Men.

Ladybug nudges Chat, blushing from his protectiveness. "C-Chat…"

Octavius chuckles, seeing the protectiveness of Chat Noir towards his master. "Hahahaha, don't worry Cat, I have no intentions of getting between you and my master." The Saber stated. "It's a master and Servant relationship, nothing more."

Holmes came on, hearing what the Rose Emperor said. -ZZZ- Hmm, so that's Rome's First Emperor, Gaius Octavius Ceasar. The Nephew of Julius Caesar and the one who became Rome's First Emperor after the Assassination of his Uncle. -ZZZ- The Ruler commented, taking what knows about the First Emperor. -ZZZ- Truly that makes sense to combat Karl der Grobe where Charlie is not fully recovered. The Servants did really serve their purpose in getting things set up for us. -ZZZ-

Sion interrupted the conversation having important information. -ZZZ- I'm sorry to cut this little History lesson short, but we detected that the Parisian Lostbelt is still standing. -ZZZ- The Alchemist said. -ZZZ- Since you've defeated the Anomaly Emperor and most important, the Titian Pillar. The Lostbelt should be dismantled by now, is there anything else that's keeping it up? -ZZZ-

"Yes, Karl der Grobe informed us there's a bigger threat here in the Lostbelt," Moriarty answers the Chaldeans on the Storm Border. "The Anomaly master wasn't present during our fight, also the Foreigner of Londo aka Dorian Grey. They're off to the Moon Cell to awaken Sefar."

Mashu came in, hearing the conversation. -ZZZ- I'm sorry, Professor Moriarty, but did you say Sefar? As in the White Titian who came to Earth around Twelve Thousand Years Ago to destroy it? -ZZZ- The former Demi-Servant asked,

Ritsuka nodded, confirming what his Wife said. "That's right, Mashu."

-ZZZ- W-What the Hell!? We've defeated the Titian Pillar, right? We won at this point, why does it have to get complicated after a well-earned victory!? -ZZZ- Goldolf complains, not wanting to deal with a World Ending threat. -ZZZ- Oh, this is like when we have to fight ORT! -ZZZ-

-ZZZ- Alright, Goldolf, enough with your panic attack, this isn't time for panicking. -ZZZ- Da Vinci came on, overhearing the conversation. -ZZZ- Fujimaru, are you sure that's going to happen? Is the Anomaly master really going to awaken Sefar? -ZZZ-

"He's right, Felix Graham de Vanily is going to wake Sefar." A voice enters the conversation, everyone turns to see Abe no Seimei walking towards them. "If we don't act now, then it'll be all over for the France in Proper Human History."

"Caster, what are you doing here?" Ladybug asked, seeing the powder blue-haired Grand Servant.

Chat looks at the Caster, seeing him in Person for the first time. 'So that's the Caster I heard about…' He said, having a sense of respect for him.

-ZZZ- This reading…are you perhaps…-ZZZ- Sion asked, seeing the Magical Energy Signature on the Border's monitors.

Abe no Seimei nodded, confirming that the scans on the Storm Border were right. "Yes, I'm the Grand Servant Candidate Summoned to this Lostbelt to prepare for this moment." The powder blue-haired Servant said.

Soon, BB, Violet, Charlie, and Louis climbed out of the Mech, joining the group. "Sorry, we're late. I gotta do something before we officially leave here. Hmm? What's this now." Charlie asked,

"Huh? Why is everyone here and not heading back?" BB asked, curious what's going on here. "Care to explain to us what we missed?" The Moon Cancer asked, raising her eyebrow.

Everyone turned around, seeing the second group joining them. "Ah, King Charlemagne, the all-star player has arrived!" Abe no Seimei smiles, greeting the one who will claim victory.

"H-Huh? What is this about me being an all-star player?" Charlie asked, still confused about what was happening.

Abe no Seimei smiles, crossing his arms. "Alright everyone, listen up. Now that you defeated Karl der Grobe, it's time to let you Chaldeans know what I have planned." He smiles, informing them of the plan to defeat Sefar.
