Thank you to everybody who read or reviewed the last conversation. You are so fabulous. I truly appreciate your encouragement.
So a couple of notes about my writing process. The original rough draft of this chapter was written way back in November 2021. And silly me, I did not begin the rewrites until May 2022, a.k.a. the weekend that Multiverse of Madness came out. Which, in hindsight, was a mistake because I can't entirely remember what I originally meant to write. I had a lot of fun deciphering the rough draft when the voice recognition software really messed up things.
You're probably wondering why that happened. Spider-Man: No Way Home wrecked me emotionally. Usually, when that happens, I have to write a fix-it story of some sort. That wasn't compatible with this universe, so I wrote Letters I Can Never Send. I finished the primary draft and revisions on that story about 30 minutes before leaving for Multiverse of Madness. Of course, I'm still polishing. If I stay on schedule, all chapters should be posted by November.
I also left Multiverse of Madness with emotions, but this is already a fix-it story of sorts for that. Wanda's sister-in-law Afia has already read the Darkhold and knows how dangerous it is.
Emails 4: Greetings from an undisclosed planet
Message to UN Avenger member Agent Daisy Johnson from Wakanda/Malta Avenger Roberto Reyes
Hey, it's Robbie. I hope you're actually getting these messages. We haven't heard anything back since we got your first batch of reports. I hope you got Natasha's message. If not, I am sending it again. Vision believes it's 86.54% more probable that you'll receive it now that we're connected to the network. Earth technology really does seem primitive in comparison.
We are currently on [redacted] trying to pick up one of the ring pops. Yes, that's what we're calling them. I'm not sure who came up with the code name, probably the Chief Mechanic. We found it, but we're trying to figure out the best way to get it without attracting attention. We don't want the purple one to know that we're there waiting for him.
That's all I can say for now. Anyway, if we get a ping back from you, the girlfriend will try the deep space version of text messaging.
Yes, your cousin sent a letter. She is mad that Stark chose Natasha to contact you. She has been worried about you since you disappeared. I promised her I would pass a note to you as soon as we were close. We are much closer to you now than when we were on Earth.
Our current plan is to try to join you once I get the ring pop secured. Although that might be a while. You should probably come up with your own transport to get off the pleasure planet. We sent you details on how to do that, but I'm not sure if you got them.
Anyway, write back soon. The girlfriend is worried even though she refuses to acknowledge that.

"What does he mean by securing the "ring pop?" Loki asked as she allowed them to read the letter from Robbie as they were getting ready for the match. Yes, he made finger quotes at the term ring pop.
"We have a secure base where we are keeping the ring pops," Daisy explained.
"Useless. I've broken through your defenses. No base on Earth would be secure enough." Loki remarked as they went back to putting on their lipstick. One must look their best when trying to seduce a sadist.
"You broke through Shield's defenses, not Wakanda's defenses. Also, the base is not on earth." Daisy answered. Deciding not to mention that Shield had built-in vulnerabilities thanks to Hydra's interference.
"Where is it?" Loki asked.
"I genuinely don't know. We took a portal to get there. Outside of Robbie and the Princess, no one else has the coordinates." And even if she did know, she wouldn't tell Loki. They have a truce, but she wasn't an idiot. Also, who knew who else was listening. Ana had disabled most of the listening devices, but there was only so much she could do.
"I think it's best we not take any more ring pops to that location. Even if you didn't know how to get there. There's no use in making this easier for the purple ass hole." Loki had a point there.
"Valid, but we can't leave it in the ruins of Asgard. Your pocket dimension didn't work that well last time either." She told Loki that much before neglecting to mention that Thanos broke his neck.
"I know that." Loki sighed. "There's a lot of places and planets we can go to. We just have to keep moving until your friends figure out how to send it to the other timeline. If we're on the run, we can prevent the refugees from getting killed." Ana told him that part because Daisy has yet to understand the importance of exact words with a Stark AI.
"That could work," Daisy acknowledged. "But we don't know if the refugee ships were targeted because you were there or because Asgard was the ring pop's last known location. He might still target the refugees anyway."
"He's a sadist. Of course, he will target the refugees with or without us there."
"Then the ships will need to be prepared. I think we will have to tell the others what's happening, especially if we leave them behind while we go on the run with the ring pop."
"You can tell the Valkyrie because she's the one who actually saved anybody. That's if we can get her on our side again. However, we are not telling Thor," Loki said adamantly.
"I think we should. They need to be prepared." Daisy argued.
"We're not telling him." Loki seemed very adamant about this.
"I've been an agent long enough to know that it's dangerous to go on a mission and not know the pertinent facts. At a minimum, I think he will want to know why you're going to be helping without putting up a fight." Daisy argued.
"Let me figure that out while you read your letter from your cousin. Some of us need to get ready for the match." Loki said as he went back to his makeup.
"To impress their sugar daddy."
"Yes, so I can get Thor out of there after the match goes catastrophically bad."
"Why do you think it will go badly?"
"My brother and the beast are involved. There's no way for this not to end in disaster. However, Ana sent me the notes from green beast 2025. I'm still surprised Thor made it out alive. "
"OK, I don't like the guy but let's not call him a beast." Daisy sighed, annoyed.
"You don't have to call him names because he beat the hell out of you in New York. You kind of deserved it because you killed Coulson."
"Which I have apologized for multiple times. Also, if he didn't die, he may never have found you."
"I hate when you make logical points." Daisy sighed.
"So why do you dislike the green guy?" Loki asked. Daisy is now really regretting coming over here to let Loki read the letter from Robbie.
"He is my girlfriend's ex, and he abandoned her. Which is how he ended up here. He hurt her deeply, and I don't like that." Daisy acknowledged.
"Are you worried that she'll go back to him if we bring him back?" Loki asked her.
"Not at all." Daisy realized she wasn't at all worried about losing Natasha to Bruce. That relationship was truly dead. "It didn't happen in the other timeline. They barely speak to one another."
"This isn't that timeline."
"No, it's not. I'll let you finish getting dressed by yourself." Daisy said, walking towards the door. "I need to read through what my cousin sent and reply before we leave."
"Fine, but please put on something else before leaving for the arena. We're going to need more cleavage to distract the Grand Master when I try to grab the remote." Daisy really would like to know what remote Loki was referring to but doesn't have the time to ask. Ana will probably tell her all about it when there alone.
"In that case, you can just make yourself go up a cup size."
"There are moments when I hate you." With that, Loki slammed their door.

Hey Daisy. I am so glad you're OK. I was really worried when you disappeared the way you did. I think it was made worse because the bosses couldn't tell me everything until I got to the compound. Although I had Flash finding out about Benji's alter ego to keep me distracted. That was fun. Good news, there are at least acknowledging that they are attracted to each other. Maybe we'll have a kiss before we get you back on earth.
So, I know you know what's going on, and we know what's going on. Also, you are probably young enough to realize that the adults are gonna lock us out. So, we have our own mission. No, I'm not telling you because you might try to talk us out of it. You're in between being a responsible adult and still being one of us.
Just get back to us safely.

I'm sorry I did not send a message right away. The last day has been weird. Yes, I got all of messages and read through the report. Thank you. At least we now know how to get the hell off of this planet. Also, in other good news, Thor is now on the planet, and we're going to see him again enough about an hour. As soon as I'm done with this letter I'm leaving for the match.
We considered not having Thor go through with that fighting, but we realized we have to get Bruce. Unfortunately, we don't actually know where he is. It's not part of sugar daddy's fight club. It would have been nice if somebody had included the location of his apartment in the background materials. You would think somebody with seven Ph.D.'s would have remembered to include that detail. Simmons would have included those details, and she only has three. Fitz would have put those details in the report along with Leo. OK, even Hunter would have remembered that. Yes, I know I'm not supposed to bash my girlfriend's ex, but seriously sweetie, why? You can do so much better.
We have a plan. We will get for Bruce and this Valkyrie person and head straight for Asgard. They'll evacuate the remaining citizens, and we will burn the place to the ground. What we're planning to do next, I'm not putting in writing, but we won't be with the other refugees. We're hoping that will increase their survival.
I hope you guys get done with your mission early. I feel like we can use more help with the evacuation, but it should go faster. We know how to win this time around. I hope so, at least. Anyway, I am all for trying interplanetary text messaging. I miss all of you guys, especially you and Natasha.

Sometime when we're not in the middle of an apocalypse, I really do want to know what's going on between you, Benji, and Flash. However, that's probably going to wait. I just wanted to let you know I am safe, and we are working on a way back home. I'll be back on earth as soon as I can.
I want to say stay out of this, but all of you kids are talented and have a lot to offer the situation. Also, I'm pretty sure I hacked into the Pentagon for the first time when I was your age, so I feel like I can't tell you not to do this. That would make me a hypocrite, and I don't want to be that cousin. Just be safe. Actually, that also applies to the situation with the boyfriend, be safe. Also, at least you like Flash. I'm running into my girlfriend's ex in a few minutes. Hopefully not literally. Talk to you later. I promise I will get through this and get back to earth. We are having a movie ice cream day when this is all done. We deserve it. Also, I really miss our food. I never want to end up somewhere where slugs are a delicacy again.
To be continued…
