Cinder Fall was shown to be thirteen years old, with her hair in a bun, held up by an orange ribbon. Around her left ankle was a device. She was crawling back to bed because she was too tired to stand on her own two feet. As she climbed into bed, she saw two mice on the wooden railing above her on the wall. Oftentimes her only friends were the mice and rats among her.
She looked at them, not even bothered by their presence. "Mother was really horrible to me today. She made me dust the tapestries today in addition to everything else I had to do. She also took my doll and burned it to ashes, saying I was too old for it. How could she do such a thing?!" She sighed. "I'm talking to mice." She sulked. "It's not like they can talk back."
Cinder let her head fall against the lone pillow and she fell asleep immediately. The mice scurried away, back into the small hole in the wall.
The screen turned black.
"Cinderella!" Davina was heard shouting.
The scene transitioned to Cinder waking up, but she was now sixteen, her hair loose. As she bolted out of bed and looked around, her dress was even more worn out, the hem disintegrating and the fabric itself unraveling.
"Cinderella! Cinderella!"
Oh no, I overslept! Mother's going to kill me for this!
Loud, fast footsteps were heard along with the creaking of wood.
I need to hide! If she finds me in here, she'll beat me again!
As the footsteps got louder and Davina got closer, Cinder chose to hide under her bed. Davina's heels were heard as she looked around the room, the servant girl silently shaking in fear.
"Hmm... Where is that little rat hiding?" Davina spoke aloud. "She's not in the bathroom, not in the closet..." Her footsteps became louder. "She must be hiding under the bed!" She said she grabbed Cinder by her ankles and held her upside down. "Ha! I knew you'd hide there! You overslept. That's ten beatings with the stick!"
Cinder's eyebrows raised in alarm. "No! Not the stick!" Davina grabbed Cinder and threw her over her shoulders. "No! No! Put me down! Someone! Anyone! Help me!"
Davina smirked and Cinder was shown tied up once again. Celosia and Lobeila stood by, the latter looking frightened and nervous as Cinder was beaten with a stick. "Ahh! Ahhhh! Why must you hurt me?!"
Davina only became more wrathful. "Silence!"
Cinder groaned and screamed in pain, the forceful blows vibrating waves of pain through her.
The scene transitioned to Cinder, now seventeen years old, with short hair. She ran through the house, trying to stop her mother from burning the blue feather. She ran after Davina as she went towards the fireplace in the living room.
"Don't do this! I was good today! I did everything you asked me to! I swept, I cleaned! Why are you doing this?!" Davina didn't answer and threw the blue feather in. "No!" She tried to rake it out, but the feather had already turned into ashes. Cinder broke into a sob.
"You're crying over something so small. So insignificant."
"You don't understand!" Cinder lashed out. "That was the last thing I had from the orphanage."
"The orphanage? Why would you care about items from there?"
"Because I was loved back there. I was surrounded by people who cared about me!"
"Loved? If you were loved, your mother never would have given you up!" Cinder ran forth in blind rage, trying to punch her mother, only for her to be pushed down. "You're nothing, Cinder. You're nothing but a servant girl! Nobody loves you or cares about you and they never will!" Cinder stood up from the ground. "Now clean this place up. I need to finish getting my daughters ready for Mr. Schnee's gala."
The servant girl clinched her fist. "No."
"Excuse me?"
"I said, 'No!'"
"You foolish girl! Do you want to be beaten again?!" Cinder shook in fear. "That's what I thought! Now get to work!"
She slammed the door behind her. Cinder shook and stood in shock for a few moments. Biting her tongue, she waited a few moments for Davina, Celosia and Lobeila to exit the manor. Once the front door was shut, she ran out the back door from the laundry room and into the backyard. Once the carriage left, she screamed to the night sky, the camera shaking.
She feel to her knees and broke into tears, sobbing into a nearby bench. "It's no use... I can't even run away due to this stupid anklet that would trigger the alarm. Then they would just track me down instantly... Which would lead to even worse punishment!" She sobbed. "I'd wish they would die!"
As she continued to sob, a shadow manifested from behind her. Feeling someone standing behind her, she turned around to find a deathly pale woman in black robes. She tensed and backed away in alarm. "Who... who are you?!"
"Relax, child. I have no intention to hurt you." At this, Cinder relaxed, if only a little. "I heard your cries of anguish. So tell me, what is it that ails you?"
And so, Cinder told the woman everything. By the time she was done, Cinder and the witch were shown sitting on the bench.
"Oh dear... I've seen many sad stories like this, but rarely have I seen such a poor, unfortunate, helpless soul." The witch turned to Cinder. "Tell me, what is it that you want? What do you desire in life?"
"I..." She hesitated, then breathed in and declared, "I want to be strong. I want to be feared. I want to be powerful. Strong enough to stand up to them. Feared, so that they will regret everything they've ever done to me. Powerful enough to escape this place and turn on them a crueler fate."
"What if I told you that you could have all of these attributes?"
"All of those things? At once? But it's not possible."
"Oh, but it is. You could those things and more." Cinder smiled, a spark of hope coming into her eyes. "But, if you are to join me, you must prove your worth. If you seek to have power, you must first liberate yourself."
Cinder looked at the witch, completely confused. "But how do I do that?"
"The answer is quite simple. You trust me, and I will give you all that is required." The witch stood up and used purple energy to form the shape of a dagger. She concentrated her energy and continued to mold the shape of the weapon. As metal began forming, she summoned black energy into the dagger and it fully manifested into a tangible weapon. She held the dagger sideways in her hand.
"Woah... That was amazing!" Cinder looked at the witch. "But how is that possible?"
"Your prayers for help have been answered by a powerful witch. This is my gift to you." The dark sorceress handed the dagger to Cinder, who looked at the dagger in her hands. "This dagger has been imbued with a small portion of my power. In addition to being a sharp, double-edged dagger, it also has special abilities."
She held the dagger by the hilt and smiled. "Wow. This must be very powerful."
"It is." Cinder looked at her darkened reflection in the metal. "But be forewarned, this dagger will only last until midnight. Once midnight takes its final toll, the blade will vanish, and the power that I used to create it will return back to me. You have until then to kill them and liberate yourself."
"Yes. I'll finally give them what they deserve. Oh, wait, I just remembered- they're going to be gone for hours at Mr. Schnee's ball. How am I going to kill them if I'm stuck here?"
"Hmm... That would make things difficult. Don't worry. I'll find a way to crash their ball and get your family back here so that they can be killed. In the meantime, prepare yourself for combat. Even if you do have the dagger, they may not go down quietly."
The dark enchantress formed a black portal, but before she stepped in, Cinder called out, "Wait!" She turned to face the servant girl. "Thank you."
She smiled. "You're welcome."
The sorceress stepped into the portal, leaving Cinder alone to figure out how to kill her family. She left the backyard and entered the house. She dashed up the stairs, opened a large cabinet, took some glass figures, ran back downstairs and shattered them onto the floor, creating a mess.
Hmm... There's no way I'll be able to face them all at once. I need to pick them off one by one. How to kill them...
Several hours later, Davina and her daughters arrived home. It was fifteen minutes til midnight and Cinder faintly heard their conversation as they entered. The house servant hid behind a tapestry of a princess wearing a red dress and long black hair in a braid.
"I can't believe the White Fang attacked our ball!" Celosia complained.
"Mother? Who was that scary fanged lady?" Lobeila asked.
"Her name is Pearl Callows. She is known to be highly dangerous. We're just lucky that we escaped before..."
Upon seeing the floor, they gasped in horror. Glass shards and puddles of water were everywhere. There were also pieces of vines and other shrubbery scattered throughout the floor. Davina gasped and silently seethed in anger.
"What in the world?..." Lobeila began.
"What the hell?!" Celosia asked at the same time.
"Girls, girls, clam down. I'm sure there is an explanation for Cinder's behavior."
Lobeila looked at the scene sadly. "This was Cinder?"
"Who else could this have been? You two head to your rooms and start getting ready for bed. I'm going to find that traitorous rat." Davina left and started calling out, "Cinder?! Cinder?!"
Celosia and Lobeila went up the stairs and made their way to the second floor. The sisters entered their rooms and bid each other good night.
"Good night, Celosia. Sleep well."
"Good night, Lobeila."
I think I'll take out Celosia first. She was always the meaner of the two.
She looked to make sure Davina wasn't coming, and seeing the coast was clear, got out her dagger. She entered Celosia's room and looked around for the elder sister. The servant girl found her in a pair of pink pajamas, brushing her teeth.
"Cinderella?" She spit out her toothpaste into the sink of her bathroom nearby her bedroom, not even noticing Cinder's dagger at her side. "Shouldn't you be cleaning something?"
Cinder frowned and didn't answer. She simply ran forth and stabbed Celosia in the neck. A gasp was heard as the life disappeared from her, and blood stained the dagger and her ragged dress. But Cinder didn't care about that. One of her oppressors was finally dead.
That's one down. Two to go.
She exited Celosia's room, closed the door and entered Lobeila's room. Unlike Celosia, the younger sister was already in bed. She wore purple nightwear, with only her nightshirt being visible since most of her body was covered by purple sheets. She turned to look at Cinder as she entered.
"Cinderella?" Cinder closed the door. "What are you doing here?" The servant girl walked forward. Lobeila sounded more concerned. "Cinderella?"
You know, maybe I should have a bit of fun with this dagger.
She held up the dagger, which had been hidden thanks to the lack of light and she held up the bloody dagger before her. She gasped as Cinder stood before her. "No, please!" Cinder lurched the dagger forward... "Ahh!" And into her heart.
Lobeila was now dead, her eyes remaining open in shock.
Two down, one to go. Now where's Mother Lavalle?
Cinder closed the door. Upon this, she heard Davina yell, "Cinder! COME HERE THIS INSTANT!"
The future fall maiden looked at the clock; ten minutes until midnight.
Perfect. Right on schedule.
She began her descent down the stairs with a smirk. "Looking for me?"
Davina's eyes followed her closely. "This is completely unacceptable! You are way out of li..." She saw the dagger and the blood dripping from it. "Where did you get that?!"
"That is none of your concern, mother."
Davina scowled at seeing Cinder's smirk. "You should be scared of what I'm going to do to you once you're done cleaning this up!"
"I'm not cleaning anything up." Cinder firmly stated. "I'm not your servant. And I never will be again!"
"You foolish girl! No one trifles with me and gets away with it!"
Davina got out some pepper spray and sprayed it directly into her eyes. Cinder howled in pain and her mother kicked her down.
"You know that I'm rich, but I don't believe I ever told you how I made a living. Back many years ago, I used to be a mercenary for hire. It's time you learned your place!"
Davina got out a glass dagger slightly bigger than Cinder's enchanted one, but it made no difference to her. She swung at Davina, only to realize that she was too far away for her effectively injure and kill her.
As the house servant blinked to try and clear out her eyes, Davina stabbed Cinder in the shoulder. As she bled out from the injury, Cinder's head began to spin. It was the worst pain Cinder had felt up to that point. Even worse than whipping and being beaten with a stick. Her shoulder felt like it was on fire, but she couldn't give up now. The clock was ticking.
"Now do you see what I'm capable of?! I could murder you right now like I did with my husband to obtain his wealth. Or... you can bow your head down and hand me that dagger."
Cinder tightly gripped her weapon. "Never! You're a bitch! And you don't deserve power or money!"
Mother Lavalle attempted to stab her adopted daughter in the heart, but the future fall maiden kicked her down and in anger, she became reckless and threw her dagger at Cinder. Davina's dagger ended up hitting Cinder in the upper part of her left arm, but unlike the shoulder stab, there was no blood. Davina gasped as an angry Cinder took the dagger out of her with a scream of pain and no lasting damage.
"No... This can't be!" Cinder took Davina's dagger and it began heating it up. Using Scorching Caress, she crushed the glass dagger and lifted the glass shards on the floor and threw them all at her. Mother Lavalle tried to dodge them, without much luck.
"Celosia, Lobeila! Help me punish her!"
"Your daughters aren't coming, Lavalle. Because I already killed them!"
Davina gasped in horror upon learning her daughters were gone and Cinder slashed her dagger forth, but now it was releasing waves of purple and black energy at her, causing Mrs. Lavalle to be tossed against the wall. Her head spun and she found Cinder pressing her down.
"Say goodnight, mother!"
Lavalle grabbed Cinder's arm to prevent the knife from coming down on her. "You treacherous little bitch! You will pay for...!"
Cinder pushed through her strength and stabbed Davina in the head as the clock chimed midnight and the dagger began to flicker out of existence. As the dagger dissolved, she continued stabbing her neck and then the heart until the dagger faded away. The chime slowly faded and Cinder breathed heavily.
Finally. It's over. The nightmare has ended.
The adrenaline that had been coursing through her began wearing out.
"Well done, Cinder." the witch said off-screen. Cinder turned to face her. "You've not only killed your oppressors and freed yourself, but have unlocked your aura and your semblance at the same time."
Cinder blinked in disbelief. "How did you know that?"
The witch smiled. "I know many things. And it seems your little appendage is gone as well."
Cinder looked at her left ankle, only to find... "My tracking anklet! It's gone!"
"Indeed so. You have passed the test with flying colors. Now then, do you have anything you'd like to take with you?"
"Sadly, all of my prized possessions have been destroyed. But... I guess I could take some things before I go." She looked at herself. "And clean up..."
"Take all the time you need."
The scene transitioned to Cinder taking off her ragged dress in a luxury bathroom, and was shown enjoying the hot shower.
"Ah, I haven't had a hot shower in years. I forgot how nice it feels."
Cinder let out a content sigh. After a while, she stepped out of the shower in a big lavender bathrobe. She examined Davina's closet for something to wear.
"Hmm... Does she have anything in red?"
Lo and behold, she found an ankle length red dress with a halterneck top. The camera focused on the fabric and she was shown wearing the dress, twirling like a ballerina. "At least Davina had one good thing in her wardrobe."
The scene transitioned to Cinder walking down the stairs with two large suitcases worth of clothes, toiletries, food and other items.
The black-robbed woman smiled. "There you are. I was beginning to wonder if you had fallen asleep."
"No way am I sleeping now! Not after I just gained my freedom! I'm really looking forward to leaving this hellish prison!"
"Glad to hear." She then remembered... "Oh, pardon me, I forgot to introduce myself. You may call me Salem."
"Thank you so much for helping me. I... I don't know how I can ever thank you."
"You're welcome. Now come, let's get out of here before someone finds you and charges you for murder."
Salem took Cinder's hand and they teleported away.
Darkness was shown before they were shown in a castle. They appeared in Cinder's current chambers at the the castle. "You'll be safe here."
"Thank you, m'lady."
"I'll leave you to your rest. Good night, Cinder."
Salem shut the door, and Cinder laid down on the bed. It was so soft she fell asleep immediately.
A montage of Cinder was shown meeting her cohorts, with Watts looking unpleased, Tyrian being strangely happy, and Hazel remaining neutral about her addition to the group. The next scene Watts was shown making her weapons, which he then presented to her. She smirked upon receiving them. Hazel showed her martial arts and aura, while Salem helped her with her weapon and semblance training. The montage ended with Salem nodding in approval.
Cinder, now twenty years old, was shown wearing a red dress with separated sleeves held up by straps tied around her neck in a bow. She had black heels and dark red nails. Her metal weapons rested on her back.
"You have done well in your training. Very rarely have I seen someone come so far in three years. It is time for you to fulfill your destiny." Salem handed her a piece of paper. "This map contains the directions and address of Amber Scarlett, the current Fall Maiden. She has recently ascended to power, so you should be able to defeat her in combat. Once you find her, use this Grimm glove to take her powers." Cinder took the glove. "Ideally, you should be able to take the entirety of her powers and Amber will be too weak to stand against you. You may recruit agents to your case, but you are not to return here until you have become the fall maiden."
She pocketed the items and smirked. "Don't worry. I won't rest until the maiden's power is mine."
The scene faded to black and the darkness lifted away to show Cinder in the present, looking at herself in the mirror. She lifted her Grimm arm to her empty eye socket, her fingers shaking.
She slammed her fist down on the table and coughed out, "Enough."
Cinder took out Midnight from her otherwise empty top drawer and held out her hand. She reshaped the glass into a sword and grabbed her weapon, carrying it with her right hand. Using her left Grimm hand, hidden by her long sleeve, she opened her door, looking to see if anyone was around. After seeing the cost was clear, she left her room, made her way through the halls of the castle and descended down the stairs.
I'm through with being short-sighted. It's time to take matters into my own hands.
At the lowest floor of the castle, she made sure the coast was clear and went out the back door. She roamed the Land of Darkness, looking for a creature of the Grimm that would best suit her. A Beowolf approached her, but she was unafraid. With her one eye, she glared at the creature she was about to fight.
Well, it's just you and me, Beowolf.
The camera zoomed out to show the image in a blue circle, with Jinn watching sadly from afar in her lamp.
"Another tormented soul. This one even worse than Hazel. He had a family, even if it was just his sister. But Cinder? She never had anyone. The closest thing she ever had to a maternal figure was Salem, and by that point, most of her heart had already blackened." She sighed sadly. "If only her birth mother hadn't given her up. If only Bianca was braver and stood her ground against Daven."
A wave of blue smoke washed over the screen as the scene showed a different time and place.
Twenty-two and a half years ago, Bianca Delaney was seen in her private studio. As her fingers played the piano, her black hair was shown in a bun, and she was shown wearing a white dress so long her feet couldn't be seen. The top of her dress had a right shoulder strap and around her neck was a necklace of pearls. Over her arms was a loose button-up black jacket. On her left ring finger was a golden wedding ring with three diamonds, the largest one in the center and two smaller ones on each side.
She continued playing a melancholic tune until she hit a note too high-pitched and stopped. She sighed before a knock was heard on the door. "Come in."
A younger Jacques Schnee entered the studio. His hair was black and he was just starting to grow a mustache. He was wearing his traditional white suit and blue undershirt, only his necktie was black instead of white.
"Mrs. Delaney?" Jacques asked. "You said you needed to speak with me?"
"Yes, I'm afraid I have bad news. Remember that affair we had about three months ago? So that you could fulfill your promise to connect me to rich people looking for talented piano performers?"
He gave her a smile... "It's pleasantly hard to forget." Before looking at her suspiciously. "Why do you ask?"
"I... I'm pregnant. And the child... could be yours."
He appeared horrified then grimaced and sighed. "How far long are you?"
"Three months. I just had a doctor's appointment this morning that confirmed my suspicions."
"So what are you going to do about this?"
"Well, as you know, I have been trying to conceive a child with my husband, Daven. I'm going to keep it and try to convince him that the baby is his, whether it be true or not."
"Are sure that's a good idea? What if Daven becomes suspicious that the child isn't his? What if the child bears too much resemblance to me? You should get an abortion before Daven gets suspicious."
"Honestly, I don't want to, and besides I already told him that I'm expecting. I think I can convince Daven that the child is his."
Jacques sighed heavily. "I hope you know what you're doing. For all our sakes."
He walked out of the room, leaving Bianca alone. "As do I."
"And so, Bianca attempted to convince her husband of a truth she was unsure was truly true." Jinn narrated off-screen. "But within time, the truth came to light..."
The scene switched to Bianca, now five months pregnant, sitting in a doctor's office anxiously. Daven Delaney, an older man with black hair and grey eyes wearing a business suit, paced about the doctor's office. A knock on the door was heard before a male doctor had entered the door. The doctor began silently explaining the situation with them. Daven glared at Bianca, now on the verge of tears.
"Daven was declared completely infertile after several medical exams, and thus he discovered that the child Bianca was carrying... wasn't his. Furious that his wife had cheated on him, he demanded to know who she had slept with. Wanting to protect Jacques, whom she had fallen in love with, she refused to say anything."
The scene transitioned to her in a black-walled living room, Bianca placing her left hand on her stomach. Daven turned away from her coldly and when he turned back to her, he yelled something at her.
"She plead with her husband, trying to convince him to let her keep the baby, but he refused. He did not want to care for a child that wasn't his, and he believed that she didn't have the right to keep a child created out of adultery."
Bianca was shown folding her arms. Daven sat down on a black cough and silently sighed.
"She still refused to get an abortion, so she reluctantly worked out a compromise with her husband; In order to prevent people from discovering her pregnancy, she made up a cover story saying that she was going to Vita for a vacation to visit her parents, namely her mother. After she gave birth, she would take three months of maternity leave and put her child into one of Mantle's orphanages before her maternity leave ended."
The scene showed Bianca, this time heavily pregnant, arriving at the underground Atlas Medical Facility. The doctors quickly greeted her and led her along.
"Time and time again, Bianca's courage had failed her when she needed it most. And in the end, she was forced to give up the child she wanted to keep."
Bianca was shown laying in a hospital bed, having just given birth to a daughter. Said daughter was wrapped in a white blanket, sleeping contently. She had a faint patch of black hair on her head. Bianca smiled as she held her newborn, but that smile soon faded and was replaced with a tormented expression. She knew she would have to give up her baby, for her sake, for Jacques's sake, and the sake of a failing marriage.
The baby girl yawned and opened her eyes. They were a nice shade of bright ember.
She has my mother's eyes. And the ashen black hair of me and my father. Why... why must Daven be so cruel? To tear a child away from its mother?
The new mother cried until there were no more tears left. The doctors and nurses knew of her situation and allowed her to grieve before speaking to her personally. As she held her child, she looked into her daughter's eyes.
She has a fire in her eyes. Fire... an element of warmth, yet destruction. If not controlled it's only mere moments before... it all turns to ash and cinders...
A knock on her door was heard. "Come in." Bianca stated sadly.
The nurse walked in and noticed her troubled expression. "Are you alright?"
"Feeling better. But nothing can prepare me for what I must do."
"Have you chosen a name for her?"
"I believe so." Bianca answered. "Her first name... will be Cinder, for cinders bring the color of black to mind. Her middle name, Ella, for my mother's middle name. And since her father is... not present, it is only natural that she takes my surname. Thus, she is named Cinder Ella Delaney."
And so, Bianca stayed in the hospital for a week, allowing her to be with her child. Thereafter, she rented a log cabin in the outskirts of Mantle and intended to use her maternity leave to care for the child that she was supposed to give up.
The scene showed Bianca now wearing a pair of black yoga pants, white winter boots and a dark grey hoodie staying in a log cabin, her baby girl asleep in a travel crib. She shut up the windows off her cabin and took down her hood. She set a pot of soup to simmer and looked at her child.
I could leave. Just take myself, my child, run away, and never look back. But if I did... I'd have to start all over again. My music career, which is just beginning to grow, would be lost. Not to mention that I'd be jobless and wouldn't be able to provide for my daughter. Not to mention I'd have to leave Atlas. Daven would look for me, and if he ever found me running away, he'd be furious. And I'd never see Jacques again. Tears fell from her left eye. Oh come on, Bianca, be real. Even if you did go back, you could never have him. He's married and somehow I doubt he'd be willing to continue the affair.
Bianca looked at her daughter, yawning as she woke up. She smiled, wanting to believe that nothing else mattered. But in the end, she was only stalling the inevitable. She knew what had to be done.
The scene switched to Bianca, still wearing her disguise, with her child in her arms in the streets of Mantle. She made her way to the Crystal Tree Orphanage, and as she looked at the front of the building. She looked around and found a baby box on the left side of the wall. The box had a glass door and red unlit button on the top of the door handle. Bianca made her way over to the box and baby Cinder cried.
"I'm sorry..." Bianca sobbed. "I'm so sorry..." Tears fell down her eyes. "Forgive me, my daughter. I wish I could keep you, to let you have the life you deserve." Cinder seemed to calm down. "But the world is cruel, cold and dark. So be the light in this world, be the fire that changes things... for the better. I love you, my little flame."
As the last tear fell from Bianca's face, she opened the door and set her child in the box and baby Cinder cried again. Bianca closed the door, and the red button lit up. The heartbroken mother broke down into tears and ran away.
Blue smoke enveloped the screen to show two different scenes taking place in the present.
The left screen showed Bianca Delaney arriving in Jacques's chambers, the former with a warm smile and the latter with a smirk as he sat upon his bed. Bianca came closer to him.
The right one showed Cinder holding the red glowing Beowolf eye in her left hand.
"A tragedy in more ways than one." Jinn spoke offscreen.
The left side focused on Bianca as she tackled Jacques down onto the bed, taking his lips, throwing her arms around his neck. He returned the gesture, snaking his tongue towards her.
"Bianca has continually failed to realize that Jacques doesn't truly love her, and is only using her for his own pleasure." Jacques slid his hands to her waist as Jinn continued to narrate. "If she knew the truth, no doubt that she'd be heartbroken. She also doesn't know that her daughter is still alive after hearing of what happened to the Lavalle family. Then again, if she knew the truth, she would certainly be horrified at the monster she has become. So here comes the age-old question; What's worse? Living a lie... or knowing the cold, harsh truth?"
At that moment, Cinder inserted the eye into her left eye socket and as the Grimm eye attempted to escape, she was surrounded by black energy around her entire body and red energy flaring outward from her face. She screamed, trying to gain control over her new Grimm body part. The one-eyed Beowolf went forth and attempted to attack her, but she extended her arms out, throwing spirals of fire at the creature.
Fire enveloped the screen and when it had cleared, the Beowolf was gone. With her left arm, Cinder removed her hair over her left eye socket to show the new Grimm eye. The camera zoomed out to show her entire face as she smirked maliciously.
