The sound of a call early in the morning was not something expected as Naruto grabbed his phone from his nightstand and answered in a sleepy and foggy voice, "You better have a damn good reason to call me so early in the morning."
"Ara Ara, Naruto-chan, is that anyway to speak to your dear aunt?" A voice replied from the other side.
Naruto flipped around in bed as he replied, "Aunt Yasaka, It is 2:30 in the morning. I doubt you're calling just to check up on me, what's going on ?"
He could hear a sigh from the other side of the call as Yasaka finally spoke, "We're detecting a concerning number of stray devils moving to converge on Kuoh for some reason. Our counterparts with the devil foreign affairs have confirmed a suppression order was issued out-"
"That's another thing i wanted to ask you," Naruto spoke up, interrupting his surrogate aunt and technically legal guardian, "Since when have devils lived in Kuoh?"
"What do you mean Naruto-chan? Devils have been in Kuoh for well over a decade. Under Sarutobi-dono's supervision of course. At one point the church also maintain an outpost out there as well, but it was abandoned up until recently, when the sisters of Satan Lucifer and Satan Leviathan moved in," Yasaka explained her voice sounding somewhat confused, as she also asked, "Did Sarutobi-sama never introduce you to Cleria Belial?"
"No, because you know, my father was a cambion? And it's HIGHLY likely devils killed them?" Naruto stated as he let out a sigh, "Anyways, what are they doing here? Couldn't you have put them somewhere else but my territory?"
"I'm sorry Naruto-chan, but the Gremory family have purchased out a lot of the local businesses in the area," Yasak explained, "Making the area economically tied to their family, it makes sense they would send their heiress there."
"Great, so give me a list of all their handlers and I'll start popping heads," Naruto said with a hint of irritation, "If they think they can just buy me out they have a problem."
"Actually Naruto, they bought out Asuma. You know he wanted nothing to do with the family… business," The blonde haired woman replied, "Besides, I am hoping you can make some friends, you know I don't approve of you running around being a hired thug. Get to know one of the heiresses, make some friends, get laid or something hun. You're too serious."
"They're devils Aunt Yasaka," Naruto replied with an exhaustive sigh, "You know they cannot be trusted for anything."
"Naruto-chan, times have changed, they have been changing long before you were born. Just because Sarutobi-dono believed your parents were killed by devils doesn't make it true," Yasaka replied, adding, "They could have just as well been killed by the church, or any other faction really. Just do me a favor and try to get along, Rias-chan and Sona-chan are fellow co-overseers of the Kuoh territory. So try and get along with them."
"C-Co-overseers? I hope they know I am still the one in charge, right?" Naruto asked hopefully.
"You do still have the final veto, but I did not disclose there would be another overseer. I know you don't want your identity to be known to devils, I respect that much," The fox woman replied as she said, "Anyways, I gotta go to sleep soon. I just wanted to catch up with you, and don't forget about the stray devils!"
And then she hung up.
Naruto mumbled, "Respect my ass,"
He put the phone back on his nightstand, took a deep breath- and proceeded to start punching and kicking the air above him as he let out his frustrations in a short, violent burst.
Once he was done throwing his little temper tantrum he got up, checked the rime, realizing it was only 2:38 AM. The Sun wouldn't be up for the next few hours, and by the way Yasaka made it sound, it looked like it would take a long time to track down and destroy the multiple stray devils.
Naruto dragged himself to his feet, and got ready for a day full of fighting. He would be missing his second day of school, true. But he could care less about school.
He also had to figure out a way to run the devils from his territory.
He quickly showered and got ready, preparing a bag of tools for the day ahead. Things that would help him out. some steel wire, some kunai and shuriken, 12 gauge slugs- even a few holy grenades he had nicked off the black market. He put the bag down by the door of his garage as he walked to his Skyline and opened the passenger side door.
He carefully removed his hundred pound 20mm rifle from the passenger side and carried the rifle back inside where he left in its dedicated safe.
Then he turned to his dedicated shotgun gun safe, a d began thinking what he could bring out, "Decisions, Decisions. Could go with a BFG-1 but my bag is loaded with twelve gauge, not four gauge… I just got that Benelli M4… hmm yeah let's go with that."
He also grabbed his desert eagle from his book bag and six pouches of extra magazines for it and added them onto his utility belt.
Now typically firearms were useless against devils for the most part. However with multiple stray devils converging onto Kuoh and the time of day… night it was- Naruto was hoping he could get away with killing a couple of them with firearms.
Afterall, he needed to keep his magic a secret, especially with multiple devils living in his city, going to his school.
And especially if he didn't know the two heiresses would even be responsible enough to join the hunt with a suppression order having been posted by the devil government. He wasn't counting on it, from what little he knew of devils they relied mostly on natural ability and it was likely they wouldn't even bother.
It would be up to him to clean up the mess that was entirely the devil's fault- or at least he believed so.
As he got in his car he reached over to his glove box and pulled out a bluetooth headset, which had a built-in microphone.
He connected the device to his phone and made another call to Kyoto- this time to the yokai in charge of tracking and reckoning of supernatural creatures.
Or as he liked to them- his personal customer service line.
"Hello? You've reached Okita Maki of the tracking and recon department, how may I help you today?" A female voice came from the other line and Naruto grinned as he turned on his vehicle and shifted into reverse as the garage doors opened.
"Ah, Maki, my favorite person right now," Naruto said as he pulled off from his garage and onto the road, and then shifted into first gear, "I apparently have multiple stray devils converging on Kuoh, because my dear aunt neglected to tell me she was moving high class devils into my territory."
"Naruto-san, it's almost three in the morning, I will not have you whining in my ears about Yasaka-sama's decision," the female Yokai replied as keyboard tapping could be heard in the call, then the girl spoke once again, "Huh, apparently the first devil has been spotted in the outskirts of Kuoh with the use of M-DAR (Magic Detection and Ranging.) By where the building that used to belong to the church was, sending you the coordinates now."
Ping
"Truly, a miracle working Maki-chan, where would i be without you," Naruto said has he copied the coordinates into google maps in his phone to get the address, seeing the proximity to the church he narrowed his eyes and said, "What are the chances that the stray devil has set up shop in the church?"
There was some more tapping heard for a bit before the girl acting as a dispatcher responded, "I'm not too sure, there's two stray devils marked as D ranked one with a advisory of barely above human ability and the other with an advisory that read approach with caution, a c class with the same advisory as the last one, a B class stray with an engage with caution advisory and an A class with a restriction for high class and above if engaged by a single individual."
"Well fuck," Naruto hissed as he looked at his bag and his shotgun. There goes his hope for a quick ballistic solution- he might actually have to try. He took a slow and deliberate breath as he thought on his next course of action, as he drove towards the location he sped up, shifting into second gear, and then third gear.
Then Naruto asked, "Can you get me a reading on the level of that devil we have on sight near the church?"
"Unfortunately not Naruto-san, too far from M-DAR for accurate readings and our nearest scout and tracking unit in area is yourself," Maki replied as she yawned for a moment, and then said, "I will keep sending you updates as we continue to track and evaluate the strays, good night Naruto-sam."
Naruto shifted down into second gear, then grabbed the microphone with two fingers and said, "Wait Maki hold- she hung up."
The blonde couldn't help but shake his head as he shifted down again into first as he opened the MP 3 app on his phone and trusted shuffle to pick out a song at random as he drove towards his first of many destinations.
Arriving at the other end of the town where the abandoned church was, Naruto sat in his car for a while- trying to get a feel for the situation. Preferably, he would be able to find the A class devil here, and take them out.
Then he would find the B class devil, dispose of them, and then he would only have to worry about a C class he could destroy quickly and the last two could eat slugs.
"Sounds like a plan," Naruto said as he turned off his car and engaged the emergency/parking brake, not even bothering to bring any of the guns or explosives with him fully expecting to face one of the higher tier devils- with the exception of his deagle of course.
He was fully expecting to find either the B or A class demon, considering only those strays would have a tolerance high enough to go into a church.
Unless of course, they lacked brains. It was totally a possibility of that being the case as well. Hence why he still packed his side arm.
He walked up to the church, everything looked normal, the windows were boarded up. The door was closed- on the outside, everything checked out.
Naruto frowned as his hands reached the door knob, and carefully manipulated it open. The lock was not engaged- which quickly made him suspicious.
He opened the door slowly, noting that it creaked quite a bit and then closed it behind him. Thankfully his non-human ancestry gave him enhanced senses of vision, hearing and smell.
Meaning he could see well in the dark, so he didn't need a flashlight as he walked deeper into the church, taking slow deliberate steps and he looked at every bench, every floor and ceiling tiles, taking into account every single nook and cranny where a potential stray devil could hide.
The second thing that hit him was the faint smell of iron- along with a very faint but unpleasant stench.
And as he walked deeper, nearing the wings of the church he could hear an almost imperceptible gnawing sound.
"Fuck," Naruto said startled as he suddenly felt his phone vibrate on his pocket, bringing a hand to his heart as to took a moment to calm his speeding heart beat.
He grabbed his device from his pocket and answered, "Uzumaki Speaking."
"Naruto-san, it's maki. We have been able to pick up some chatter from police radios about two kilometers from your position, it seems someone has gone missing- a man was snatched from his bed. There was evidence of a break-in but little else." Okita Maki explained in a grave tone, pausing for one moment but then added on, "It is entirely possible that these two things are completely unrelated, but…"
Naruto looked to the two doors on either side of where the wings were supposed to be, as he replied in a low volume, "Yeah, well. I can hear some gnawing and I can smell iron and another stench, maybe death. so I wouldn't be surprised if it indeed was our missing person."
"Yes Sir, call me after you finish your current target," Maki stated and hung up.
Naruto put the phone back into his pocket and observed the mass hall and altar. All religious imagery had been broken and shattered- leaving the place completely trashed.
The blonde went left, towards the door that led to the church interior. As he entered the interior he saw that the left and right side doors led to the same hall, with some offices and rooms sprinkled around.
As he walked deeper into the hall, following the sound and the stench, Naruto came up to an open basement door- and decided to head down the dark abyss.
Once again thankful for his enhanced senses.
Deep inside he saw the grotesque form of the stray devil which had his back turned to him. The creature was already deformed- with multiple different arms poking from behind the back at different states of decay, it also had six legs- four of which were too small to be of any use.
The skin had warts and other deformities and imperfections literally through it.
And slightly ahead of the monster, Naruto could see the corpse of what once was a man. The head stood up intact like a pedestal as the rest of its body lay in different stages of consumption.
The stench of death was strong.
And the creature seemed distracted with its meal and not all that strong.
So Naruto upholstered his desert eagle, and shot the creature in the back of the head and continued to unload the rest of his magazine onto its back.
Naruto lowered his weapon as he walked up to the corpse of the stray devil. It wasn't breathing or moving-
However, Uzumaki Naruto was not stupid. He extended his left hand upwards and summoned a sword made entirely of light energy- the light sword itself was red.
And as Naruto swung it down to kill the stray devil- the creature woke up from playing possum, kicking a couple of its legs out to kick Naruto.
The blonde teenager however put the sword made out of light energy between himself and the offending limb and cut it off- causing the stray to scream and squeal, "It hurts! You bitch it hurts! My leg!"
Naruto watched his prey without any sympathy as he summoned several more light weapons in the shape of spears and at once launched them at the devil.
Who rolled out of the barrage attack, however the blonde ninja was already where the monster intended to be and in the blink of an eye, the boy Bisected the inhuman creature, slicing from the tip of the right shoulder down to the left side of the devil's hip.
The upper portion of the body fell into the ground- this time Naruto was sure that the devil was dead. However, he wasn't quite done yet.
Looking at the mangled and broken body of the innocent civilian caught in this mess. Naruto extracted a pair of gloves from his utility belt and dragged the dead devil's body to where the victim's several body pieces were generally thrown around.
Then Naruto lifted his right hand and summoned a fireball, and applying some wind into the fireball he pointed it at the pile of body parts and incinerated it.
He was using more magic than he had originally planned when he left his house, but burning the stray devil's body was mandatory to keep the secrecy of his own determinism, and incinerating the remains of the man that had been eaten by the stay devil was just a courtesy to the man's possible family. Nobody needed to know the fate of the unnamed man.
Thousands went missing every year, nobody needed to know the man had been eaten alive by a rogue devil.
Naruto eventually emerged from the basement of the church and left the building, he thought about burning it to the ground considering it was abandoned- and he was fairly certain his cremation session, no matter how controlled, had weakened the structure.
But Then he remembered that he was part fallen angel, and part devil as well. And the strong suspicion of the devil's having killed his parents made him consider otherwise.
Maybe he would even donate to have the church restored and have a priest moved in, of course all out of spite for the devils occupying his territory. Which had cost him a night of sleep.
Naruto got into his car, released the emergency brake. Depressed the clutch and the brake pedal, making sure his car was in neutral and turned it on once again, shifting into first gear and driving away slowly.
As he drove he pulled out his phone- it was 3:34 AM already.
The boy quickly called the Reconnaissance and Tracking unit of Kyoto, and once again, Maki picked up the phone, "Naruto-san, I assume that the stray devil near the abandoned church was eliminated?"
"Yes, Maki, one C rank stray devil eliminated. Very poor situational or spatial awareness- could eat bullets though," Naruto said as he continued driving- weaving around some of the traffic already present in the streets as he shifted into second gear, "On another note, I found our missing man. He was unfortunately killed, mutilated and eaten by the creature. I quickly killed the creature with light energy and incinerated both bodies."
"Understood," Maki replied as the clacking of a keyboard could be heard, "The family will be compensated and he will be marked as missing and presumed dead."
"What's my next target?" Naruto asked, before he frowned and asked, "Actually, Maki. Have the two other so-called overseers Yasaka allowed into my territory made themselves useful?"
"They have," Maki replied quickly, "Both peerages mobilized less than twenty minutes ago and were both detected by M-DAR near the known locations of two of the strays. One confirmed engagement via power fluctuations, the other is currently suspected scouting the area."
"Great," Naruto said as he felt a little bit better knowing he wasn't going to be carrying the night all by himself, he looked back at his phone and said, "Maki, send me the coordinates for the stray furthest from either peerage."
Ping
"Sent, Naruto-san, I hope you don't have to run into them either," the female dispatcher said with some sympathy in her voice and then said, "Let me know once you have finished up your next fight."
"Get some coffee Maki," Naruto said before the call disconnected, "You sound tired, I don't want my favorite dispatcher falling asleep on me."
Naruto copied the new coordinates into his google maps once again, and saw that the next location for his next hunt was due east, pretty far from the outskirts of the city.
But far enough away he could still run into one of the devil groups if he took his time.
"Road safety laws prepare to be ignored," Naruto said as he turned on his radio, clicked on the fifth track and turned on the radio.

Naruto shifted into second gear, and pressed the gas pedal. He could feel the roaring hum of the inline twin turbo-powered engine as it accelerated- could feel the car itself responding to his every command and Demanding for more.
Shifting into third gear, Naruto was bobbing his head as he listened to the song, feeling it. It was more of a pop song, one he often skipped. But he was tired enough he couldn't be bothered.

He let go of the gas and pressed on the clutch as he shifted up to fourth gear, before letting go of the clutch and pressing the gas once again as he continued to accelerate.
He was confident he was already done blown past the speed limit. But he wanted to get to the stray devil before the other devil groups so he could continue to avoid them.

"Okay my guy," Naruto said out loud as he turned the volume on the radio up a bit more, "Talk your shit."
What? Naruto may have been a ninja and a warrior, he may enjoy his 80 proof whiskey, and he absolutely was a goddamn americanophile and a delinquent. But even he wanted to be loved, so believe it!

At some point Naruto just began humming along since he didn't know the contents of the song.
Now you would be excused for thinking that since he was singing and driving- he would be pretty distracted. But you would still be wrong, as Naruto noticed he was approaching the coordinates of the last known location of the stray devil- he kept his eyes peeled on the road.
So when he saw a shadow from his peripheral coming towards him, Naruto pulled the emergency brake, and drifted away from where the massive troll was hulking around.
Naruto saw the massive beast slam into the side of the road, and took the chance to do several things at once. He quickly disengaged the emergency brake, shifting into reverse, as well as lowering his window.
He raised his left hand outside of his vehicle and summoned a single light spear- tossing into the recovering devil. It wouldn't hurt the devil much- not if Naruto's assessment was correct that this was the A ranked stray.
But it would certainly piss it off, which was Naruto's goal.
The beast recovered and shook its head, letting out a nasty roar. It quickly began running towards Naruto's car. The blonde quickly released the brake pedal and hit the gas as he let go of the clutch as the vehicle began driving backwards.
He raised his left hand outside the vehicle as he summoned a wall of light spears, and concentrated on keeping the light spears above him.
And just as the giant leaped, Naruto launched the spears at the creature. Most of the light spears missed as the gigantic demon simply dodged most of them but it gave Naruto the time he needed to get his father away as the creature crashed into the ground.
He hadn't summoned the maximum amount of light spears he could, but he summoned an amount large enough he could also absolutely saturate with light based energy.
Meaning that even if just one hit the giant stray devil it would be absolutely painful if not fatal. And he had at least five of them from initial visual confirmation.
He quickly shut his car off and took a giant leap, a dove like wings with black feathers and a wing made of flames emerged from his back as he flapped once to give him the necessary altitude and speed boost he needed.
He suppressed his wings and made them disappear as he dove on the monster who was writhing in the ground. He then summoned a light sword with an obscenely long blade and used it to slice through the monster's neck to decapitate it.
However the demon raised a hand that caught it- even though doing so clearly hurt it as evident in its howling squeal.
Which Naruto quickly followed by summoning a vortex of wind which cut and lacerated the arm that the devil had used to catch his light sword.
Naruto then followed it by igniting the length of the sword with flames which quickly spread onto the devil who finally let go. Which allowed the blonde ninja to disperse the spear of light.
Then Naruto decided to switch tactics- his fist combust into flames as he jumped on the devil and began to rain down flame enhanced blows- further made even more lethal by the precise release of magic burst which added to the concussive force of the impact.
Left, right, uppercut-
The blonde was distracted as he felt a build up of magic behind him. which the stray devil quickly took advantage of, grabbed Naruto with his non injured hand and tossed him in the direction that a light appeared.
With the wind knocked out of the whiskered blonde due to landing on his back, he didn't immediately register where he landed. But once he was able to regain his breath, he heard, "Akeno, Koneko, Kiba- keep Gorlock distracted."
Naruto's eyes widened, as he looked up to see a face looking down at him with concern and curiosity.
Red hair? Check.
Blue green eyes? Check.
Rocking the Kuoh Academy female uniform ? Check.
It was that goddamn devil foreigner. It was at that moment that Naruto knew, he fucked up. He wasn't fast enough to finish the job- and now he was face to face with the devils.
"Are you okay? Here lemme help you up," the red haired devil woman said as she extended a hand to help him up as she went to kneel.
However, Naruto- being the untrusting ninja that he was, rebuffed her help by rolling away from her onto his feet as he said, "I don't need your help. but while you're here we may as well finish the job so i can go back to bed."
"Rude," the red haired devil-girl replied.
"Oh no, you don't get to complain, this is you and that other devil's fault. Kuoh was fine before you and your group came along," Naruto said bitterly as he took his pistol from his holster while his other hand reached into one of the spare magazine pouches and took one out, replacing the spent magazine with the fresh one and placing the spent magazine onto the empty pouch.
Granted, a 50 Action Express round was gonna do absolute jack shit to an A-rank monster. But he needed to keep up appearances and he was not going to expose any of his extra-natural heritage.
And then began sending hate towards the giant stray devil, targeting the monster's already weakened and exposed spots.
The red haired lady next to him grew frustrated at being ignored and sent what naturo could tell was a concentrated ball of demonic energy into the beast and watched as it finally put the beast down for good.
"See? Isn't this so much easier?" Rias said as she looked at him with fake kindness.
"Great, you put down the demon I had already been fighting and had injured significantly," Naruto said, "Excellent, so much for your help. I could have used it idk, lemme check…"
Naruto pulled out his phone, it was already 4:20 in the morning- "Two fucking hours ago? What a great supposed overseer you are- takes you two fucking hours to respond. Do you know what happened in those two hours? I can tell you, a man already fucking died."
"Naruto-san, I would recommend you watch your town," the other blonde from the homeroom class said to him.
Naruto stepped aside as a lightning strike fell where he was standing a moment prior- and his gun, now cocked and loaded, was pointed to the blonde who had spoken, "One more movement and I blow his head off."
"Naruto-san, is that your name? I recommend you lower that weapon." The red haired girl said dangerously., "You have already acknowledged me as the overseer of this territory, so you must know i will not take it kindly if you threaten my cute little servant."
"You have gotten one thing wrong," Naruto said as he pulled back the hammer on his gun, "You're not the overseer. You're an assistant overseer. You only manage what happens in Kuoh academy and whatever your little family owns. The ley lines in this town? I maintain them, I ensure they remain free from contamination and connected to Kyoto. I decide if you get to stay or if you are to be expelled. You don't get to make decisions, I do. My family has overseen this city since before you, or even your brother were born and I've been the overseer before you decided to intrude on MY territory. If you have any problems or questions, take it up with Auntie Yasaka, capiche?"
The red haired woman met his gaze and held it even before she finally relented, "I understand, however I was not made aware that there would be another overseer aside from Sitri and myself."
"I didn't intend on ever meeting your lot," Naruto replied as he finally retracted his weapon and switched the safety on, "However, because your lot are here, and it attracted these five strays. We ended up crossing paths."
"I take it you don't trust devils," the lead devil said as she crossed her arms, "Given you blame our presence for this incident."
"I don't trust devils, you're right. I also know that there hasn't been an uptick in stray devils converging on Kuoh- until you guys moved here," Naruto states he began to walk towards his car, he opened the door and put one leg on the floor mat and then turned to the devils, "Now this could all be a coincidence, I wouldn't bet on it. But I am also tired and was rudely woken up at two in the morning,"
He got inside and turned the car on, and began to drive away- as he saw them in his rear view mirror he pressed on the clutch and brake pedals and thought for one moment, he cursed and put the car in reverse, and drovd back to where the four were gathered.
"Is there something you need, Naruto-san?" The red haired woman asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Get in the car, I'm dropping you off," Naruto said as he pushed the passenger side seat down and forwards to make space for the three seats in the back, "Three of you in the back, one of you in the front."
"That's not necessary, we can teleport," The black haired gal insisted, giving him a disdainful look.
"Look girly, get in the fucking car, I'm gonna make a phone call while all of yall are in the car. We are gonna report over to the yokai reconnaissance and tracking kyoto headquarters so my aunt yasaka can get an update on the situation here, and we're gonna put this behind us," Naruto said looking at the black haired pink eyed girl, "and once we are done reporting, I'm gonna drop you guys off wherever you live, and we are gonna forget this night ever happened- deal? I'll even buy food on the way back."
The four devils looked at each other before one by one they each started shuffling inside, the blonde haired swordsman went in first, with the young white haired nekomata second, the black haired nephilim/devil hybrid third, and their leader took the front passenger seat.
Once inside, Naruto put his Benelli M4 on the back seat floor and said, "That is my shotgun, it is very expensive. Please be careful where you put your feet."
And then put the ammunition bag in the trunk. He got back inside the call and made the promised call to his dispatcher.
"Naruto-san, the two devil groups have defeated their stray devils, and i noticed one moved towards your location on the M-DAR, i take it you have made contact?" Maki asked as she picked up the line.
"Yeah, I came into contact with the A class stray devil, he was big, almost as big as king kong," Naruto replied, "I can also confirm he was put down, though the credit for the kill goes to miss…?"
"Rias Gremory," the red haired devil introduced herself.
"Then i can confirm five out of five stray devils eliminated with one confirmed civilian casualty," Maki said as typing could be heard on the phone, "I'll have the report for Yasaka-sama first thing in the morning Naruto-san. Do you mind fetching me a report from the second devil group?"
Naruto paused for one moment, carefully choosing his words and settled on, "I will have it done the day after tomorrow."
"Planning to avoid the other devil group, Naruto-san." The dispatcher said over speaker.
"More like I plan to rest and recuperate, i had fuck all of an hour to sleep," the blonde replied as he shifted into gear and slowly drove away. Thankfully the crimson haired devil's ability had long since gotten rid of the stray devil carcass.
Naruto looked at the clock and saw it was already 4:35 AM, and it would take about another twenty minutes just to get back into the city.
"Any food preferences?" Naruto asked his passengers- however they were all mostly silent.
The red haired girl next to him, Rias, told him, "Koneko likes sweet stuff."
Naruto looked up at his rear view mirror and saw the cute white haired middle schooler giving him a hard glare.
Naruto sighed, he was being an ass earlier for no reason, so he spoke up, "Look, I am sorry about earlier. I let my distrust for those of the biblical factions get the best of me, I'll apologize about that. Aunt Yasaka trusted you guys enough to help me oversee Kuoh. That means I should trust you guys too."
"By biblical factions, you mean that you don't trust fallen angels or the church either? Not just devils?" Rias asked him with genuine curiosity.
"Yeah," Naruto nodded, "my grandfather didn't trust either, he was an old school monkey like that. And after what happened with my parents I have even less reason to trust devils, angels or the church. But that doesn't mean I had to take it out on you."
"Were your parents killed by devils, Naruto-san," Rias asked him, careful to keep her tone respectful.
"Truthfully, It is very likely that devils did kill my parents," Naruto stated, "I don't know why they were killed. I only have speculation and bits and pieces of evidence to go off."
"I apologize then, Naruto-san, I hope we can work together to keep this city safe," the red haired girl stated diplomatically.
Naruto pushed the 8th track in his cd, "I know we will- now I promised some fold so let's eat, I will drop you off later."
The beat started playing and Naruto began his race back into the city. The instrumental hit, and he turned the volume up, and then, the lyrics.
Much to the embarrassment of everyone else in the car he began singing along.
