This story shapes her life. What would happen if this story was true? The Immortal Lord she felt connected to has been searching for his mate - wife, indeed was real? Diana lives in New York and works at her local hot spot Diner, and after numerous failed first dates, decides to forgo the dating scene for a while. That is until a rather attractive construction worker named Matthew Clairmont walks into The Diner and catches her eye. He becomes a welcome regular among all the staff, especially Diana. Alternate Universe/Canon Couples.

An alternate continuation of when Matthew leaves Sept-Tours to return to Oxford leaving Diana in his mothers protection. Diana gives Matthew an ultimatum. Whichever way he decides, challenges will sure follow. Rated T for safety.

(All Human) NO VAMPIRES/NO WITCHES/NO DAEMONS. First story in a few years. Keeping it simpler by not adding the supernatural aspect.

Matthew comes up with a plan while he waits for Diana to awaken

Matthew suddenly comes understand the meaning behind Diana's use of the word bound, causing him to take a better parting from her. An alternative and happier take on the witchrain parting scene, which could still work in canon.
