A Journey to Be a True Hero
Samuel T. Owen was once a soldier fighting a war after losing his leg he turned into a man who played games in the arcade, after that he started to teach some criminals how to use guns, but that also quickly ended as the man paying him died, so he started to kill some criminals in those organisations mostly because they wanted to kill him.
With this he was captured and killed but he discovered that he could revise this moment he thought that someone still wanted to see him playing so he continued killing, this resulted in him starting a war with Japan.
After many deaths he got captured in a freeze machine but he was satisfied with everything it was a game over, but another being injected a coin because it still wanted him to continue playing, well technically he got reincarnated by the same reason he could revive since for some reason his consciousness entered another human.
If this happens in the future or in another universe is a good question to ponder but Samuel got reincarnated in the United States with the name Samuel Sato, his father was Japanese but his mother was from the USA.
In this new life he didn't get all of his memories back however he was apparently born with the same personality and every night he has dreams that show his past life, but he thinks it's just him dreaming things he likes.
Sato's quirk appeared at the age of four; it was completely different from the quirk of his parents. It was a mutation, but he initially had no idea what his quirk did so in the beginning everyone thought that he was quirkless.
"It's unfortunate that you don't have a quirk, Sam." A friend of Sato said, currently Sato is walking with three friends they're walking in the direction of an arcade.
"Who cares? It only means I can't be a hero, I will just play with the cards God gave me." Sato answered which in turn made his friends nod their heads.
Sato is unsure why he said that but he remembers someone saying this once, but he truly doesn't care he never cared about heroes so it's interesting to him.
"That's the spirit! It's good that you're not an idiot that wants to be a hero and doesn't even have the mentality to be one." another friend said, but they quickly arrived at the arcade so any conversation about heroes will end by now.
Nothing interesting happened really, although this event happened when he was eight years old.
The first thing Sato noticed when he saw his father was that he received a punch right on his face. "Samuel, how many times do I have to tell you? You've got to learn to listen!"
"Life you see is a precious thing. Not a trifle you run around taking away." Sato's father said, looking at Sato who's holding a dead lizard, behind him many dead animals like rabbits, little animals, with blood on his clothes and a neutral expression on Sato's face.
"I'm sorry for hitting you. I really am, I know you still can learn and become a wonderful person." Sato's father said, kneeling down to hug Sato.
"I love you Samuel." He said, hugging Sato but Sato only looked ahead confused.
"Say Sato, do you want to go to my house today?" A girl at 14 years old said to Sato with his 11 years, she was rather shy at this but Sato is rather oblivious.
But Sato talking with seniors isn't a rare sight for some reason Sato always felt more comfortable talking with those older than himself.
"Thank Samantha but father wants to celebrate my birthday, despite my protests." Sato said after pondering, Samantha was sad but she understands.
"Maybe next time." She said, not long after they arrived at Sato's house.
"That's my checkpoint, it was fun Samantha let's do this again someday." Sato said, making the girl smile happily.
"Sure! Until next week, Sato." She said, then walked away Sato didn't smile even once, this was interesting but nothing that needs a smile.
Walking inside the house the first thing he did was to enter his room, by this time his father is working, while his mother is in her room.
He starts to play an FPS waiting for his father to arrive.
Night appeared and with that the voice of Sato's father made him close his game at that same moment, he decided to wait for a few minutes and then he started to walk to the kitchen where his parents will be located.
"Happy Birthday, Samuel!" His father and mother said at the same time, this brought a smile to Samuel's face.
Carefully he took a seat at the table, where a big cake is at the center with the number 11 on top of it.
"You can eat Samuel." Samuel's father said, and he did as instructed, as always he was quiet most of the time.
But a noise coming from the front door, made the three alert with Samuel's father narrowing his eyes.
"Martha go to our room with Samuel, you know what to do." Samuel's father said, with the other two doing as instructed.
The father took a gun from a nearby balcony and walked quietly, he was hearing footsteps so he took a good cover and waited.
The footsteps continued to draw closer and then…
Let's see how Samuel and his mother are fairing. The mother made Samuel hide beneath the bed while she decided to sit on the bed waiting for someone to enter the door, all while having a pistol in her hand.
It only took a few minutes before the gunshot was heard, she stayed focused taking aim, it truly sucks that neither of the parents have an offensive quirk.
The door opened with a strong force. She shot twice hitting one of the guys in the shoulder, but with a quick swipe of hands the mother was trapped with a green liquid.
"Now now woman, you shouldn't get hasty… Your husband is dead by the way!"
Tears pricked into the mother's eyes, while Samuel was very but he made sure to stay quiet.
"But that begs the question, what should I do with you? You were not on our kill list, I might have an idea." The man said with a sickening smile.
But he quickly received a karate chop in the head by a smoking woman who entered the room. "She's actually in the list, Mr Warm wants all of the family killed, even the kid, sorry Barry but today you can't have fun." She said, making the man sigh.
"Well, business is business."
At that moment he said that the green liquid started to enter the woman's nose and mouth, effectively suffocating her.
Seconds later she dropped dead in the ground. "So who else from the family are we killing?"
The woman didn't answer, merely looked around. "His son… He's beneath the bed."
With that the man flicked his arm and the green liquid snatched Samuel from beneath the bed, holding him above his mother's corpse.
Samuel's face was one of fear but the woman saw a glimpse of something else in his eyes, but she couldn't point a finger on what it meant.
"Sorry kid, I'm not one to kill children but she pulls the string, if you want to curse you should blame, villains, your father for being a cop and as a result drawing attention to himself or blame mutant quirk users it was an organisation of them who hired us right, Kikiri?" The man said, wanting to give some type of closure to the boy.
"We don't disclose information about our client, so just end this already!"
"So temperamental, sorry kid but when you get to heaven you can be angry at your father for being too weak!" The man said, and with the flicker of his wrist the green liquid started to suffocate Samuel, killing him in the process.
"Good, now we only need to wait… What are you doing Barry?"
"Oh I'm just looking around, maybe they have something expensive, they're dead so who cares?"
With that he continued to search the room, while the woman decided to sit on the bed, she closed her eyes to think what she's going to do after the mission and to let her head rest after the usage of her quirk.
As for Samuel's body I suppose most people know what will happen, if you don't then oh well I guess Ajin isn't that famous, anyway to Samuel's body.
It's in a state of death obviously but a black matter is being released from his body and in a matter of seconds he opens his eyes in surprise, gasping silently.
He barely moved; he still remembers how he died; he thankfully is in a position where he can see the two assassins but they're facing his direction.
But in that moment instinct took over Samuel's body the moment he took a glimpse of his mother's pistol.
Just like his father taught him Samuel took the gun, then he went to a crouch position and shot three bullets in the man's direction.
The bullet all hit the man's torso, making him look behind him only to receive a bullet on his throat. The last thing he saw before falling on the ground was the smile on Samuel's face, and the eyes of pure bliss.
"Barry!" The woman screamed, standing up and looking in the direction where the bullet came from where she saw the boy surprised with what just happened but just like Barry she saw that smile and eyes.
But for Samuel this was completely confusing, but his mind quickly remembered how in some old games he could respawn in the exact moment he died.
"Let's continue! Player." Samuel shouted, the smile ever present on his face, it was in this moment that the woman tried to get a gun inside of her vest.
But Samuel was faster shooting at her torso although he missed some shots including but it was enough to incapacitate the woman and right when he got close to her and shot in her head for a point blank his ammo ended.
"Oh I should probably count those." Samuel mutters, throwing the pistol at the ground, he doesn't know where or if his father stores ammo so this gun is pointless at the moment.
"I should have let the talkative guy alive, anyway are you going to answer my questions?" Samuel said, positioning the woman in the bed.
"Kill me." The woman said, with a defeated look on her face.
Samuel's face returned to being expressionless so he merely tilted his head to the side. "I'm a child you think I'm capable of murder without the heat of the moment?" He said, but the woman merely glared at him.
She saw the smile on his face. It was from enjoyment, it terrified her in all of her years of experience she rarely saw people happy at killing and it was even rarer to see them smiling after their family died, whatever happens she knows it's the end for her.
"Yes I think… but how are you still alive? I'm pretty sure we killed you."
"No idea, but if I had to guess I suppose whenever I die I heal myself, pretty interesting if I have to say."
"I guess it's true that some people are born with better abilities than others."
"What?! For your information it hurts like hell to die, I just contained my scream due to remembering you two were here." Samuel said, very offended by her comment, it was true though the burning sensation inside his body was immensely painful, he will make sure to increase his pain tolerance in the future.
"I answered your question, so can you tell me who hired you?"
She stayed silent for a while, then eventually she talked. "Get lost, we never made an agreement fool."
"I guess I will just kill every person with a mutant quirk then. All in the name of justice!" Samuel said, walking away from the room.
The woman could only think how unlucky everyone she was this time, and how due to Barry talking about private information innocents will die in the name of justice.
She thought he was bluffing, but when Samuel returned with another gun probably from the corpse of his father and shot her in the head, she quickly thought it's entirely possible he would try something like that.
Interlude / The woman's quirk allows her to sense living aura from creatures in a 100 meters, but it's incredibly taxing on her mind since she can't filter which aura she wants. The man's quirk allows him to turn his arms into a green liquid that acts like water, it can expand how much he desires, but it causes a weird sensation in his arms like phantom pain. /
A few months passed since the last event and Samuel went to a orphanage, he was put as the responsible for the killings but due to him being young and having lost his parents, the police made sure to not divulge any information about him.
Samuel didn't develop any type of trauma after those events, something that surprised the police and psychiatrist, but they were partly right while he didn't develop any deep trauma. He harbors a hatred for those responsible for the operation, but it's so irrelevant that not even Samuel can notice it.
The dreams about his past life also stopped appearing after that event, which he attributes to seeing a real death situation, but in truth is due to his death, and also because with that it solidified that his mentality will not change even lacking some memories he's Sato.
But maybe with time he might recover all of his memories, only time will tell I mean the trigger for this to happen is very specific.

Sato was having a normal weekend as usual when a strange old man approached Sato.
"Are you Samuel Sato?" The man asked in Japanese to which Sato was confused at first but decided to answer on the same language.
"Yes, who are you? Have we met?"
The man shakes his head in a negative way but has a smile on his face. "No we haven't, but your father told me about you, it's a shame what happened to him."
"How do you know my father?" Sato said, but in surprise ended up saying it in English.. He was going to repeat himself but the old man just raised his hand.
"No need I can also speak in English, but our conversation must be private so I will speak in Japanese."
Sato nodded his head, he was thankful for his father for teaching him Japanese. At first he just wanted to play games in their original language but now it was a life saving.
"I'm your uncle, I only recently heard about your parents death and I wanted to take you under my custody."
"Well, do you still live in Japan?" Sato asked as this would decide if he wanted to accept, when the old man nodded his head it was Sato happiness. "Then, it would be an honour uncle."
. Can anyone guess who the old man is? One hint is that he's not an original character, another is that he's from My hero and the other is that he lacks name and surname in the series.
.
.
It was finally time for Sato to leave the country but when he exited the orphanage the first thing he saw was his uncle and a teenage boy, with short dark brown hair and golden eyes, wearing a black mask.
"Who's him?" Sato asked.
"This is a boy who I took under my care a while ago, his name is Kai Chisaki. I hope you two get along."
Sato approached Kai and titled his head and then gave a tiny smile.
"I'm Sato, I hope we get along Chisaki-kun." Sato said, extending his hand for a handshake.
Kai merely stared at Sato's hand then at his face. "I'm sure we will, Sato." Kai said, shaking Sato's hand, the old man merely smiled at the scene but what he couldn't tell is the actions those two will do in the future he would certainly regret his actions.
Since this is the story of how Sato became the villain of the century.
