Clover's House - 5:02PM

The spies locked themselves in Clover's room, even though they knew Stella, Clover's mom, wouldn't be home until much later, they didn't want to take any chances with someone seeing them. With the exception of Clover, they have since changed out of their spy suits and into casual clothes. They reconnected with Jerry on the compowder for further directions.

"Oh my. And has she awoke yet?" asked Jerry, after finally being given the outcome of the confrontation.

"Clover? No. Mandy, however, wakes up every now and again to blabber, only to faint when she realizes who she's stuck to."

"Hm, quite the understandable reaction."

Clover and Mandy laid on their backs on Clover's round pink bed. Mandy regained her consciousness and searched the room with her eyes.

"What is going on? What is this?! Sam? Alex? What are you losers doing to me! Why can't I feel this side of my body? Helloooo! What is going on- AAAAAAAAAH" she said before falling right back into unconsciousness.

"You hear? Like that." said Alex.

Clover rubbed her face with the back of her right hand and spotted the two standing at the foot of the bed.

"Girls? Am I glad to see you... I just had like, the freakiest dream ever! And don't worry, it had nothing to do with the Dream Gazer, instead we were on a mission-"

"Clover," Sam interrupted, "before you go any further, look to your left."

Clover paused and turned her head to the left. She gave a wide eyed stare at Mandy's sleeping face before turning back to Sam and Alex. "Oh my gosh... ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshhh..."

"Clover, please, you must remain calm," said Jerry on the compowder.

"Calm?!" Clover softly chuckled, "How am I supposed to be calm?!"

"Try to relax, Clover!" advised Alex.

"I am trying! It's totally stressing me out!"

Clover tried to sit up straight but the other half - the Mandy half of her body kept her down.

"This is such a nightmare... What did I do to deserve this?" lamented Clover.

"It's going to be alright. We're going to find a way to fix this," Sam reassured her. Alex leaned into Sam's compowder and whispered, "Sooo... Jerry, how are we going to fix this?"

Jerry started to type something on his keyboard. "We could start by running some tests. Retrieve me a DNA sample from each of the girls. If we find out that this - raygun, as you say, altered their DNA, we may be able to find a way to reverse it back to normal."

"You got it!" said Alex. She plucked a hair from Mandy's sleeping head effortlessly. She handed the piece of hair to Sam. Clover watched and turned her head away in defiance.

"Yeah no. My brush is over there by the mirror."

"We need a fresh sample!" Alex pinched into Clover's hair to pull out a loose strand of hair. "See? Was that so hard?"

Alex turned to Sam right before she realized that the hair fell out of her hand. "Oops! Dropped it. I have to get another one." She plucked another one from her head. "Ouch!"

"Hehehe... sorry, girl friend!" said Alex. Clover gave her an irritated look.

Sam handed Mandy's strain back to Alex. "Okay Jer, Alex has the samples."

"Excellent. Hold on tight." A teddy bear near Clover's bed opened up and sucked Alex in, presumably taking her to WOOHP. She let out a quick scream in surprise, but it happened so fast barely anyone noticed.

"I'll be in touch with you very shortly. In the meantime, try to do something about your classmate." Jerry then disconnected from the call.

Sam sat down on the bed to try to console her friend. "Don't worry! You know how WOOHP is always coming up with crazy solutions to these crazy... predicaments."

"You're right, Sam," said Clover.

"Yeah! That's the spirit."

"Being stuck to Mandy IS miserable. And she hasn't even opened her mouth yet. What are we going to do when she wakes up?"

"Actually, she has woken up. But then she faints."

"We so need to start thinking about what's going to happen later. What if my mom sees us? What if Mandy's mom wants to know why she isn't... wherever she is around this time?"

Sam placed her fist under her chin. She then snapped her fingers. "Sleepover."

"You're joking."

"I don't know... Mandy seems pretty tuckered out to me."

"Fine. What else?"

"Hmm, apart from that we'll have to wait and see."

"Nah ah."

"Yeah, and when either of you have to shower... Well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"Uh, NO. Let's cross that bridge right now!" said Clover, wailing her arm and legs around. Just then, the girls heard a knock on the door. Sam quickly tossed the blanket over Clover to conceal her spy uniform and the bodily connection she has to Mandy.

The door opened and Stella entered the room. "Clover, I'm home!" She noticed Sam standing near the bed and waved, "Oh, you must be Alex!"

"Uh, Samantha, actually," corrected Sam. "Sam! You must be the new friends she met!" said Stella, as she shook her hand. She looked at Mandy on the bed.

"And this must be Alex?"

"Uhh..." Sam stammered.

"No, Mom, this isn't Alex. This is Mandy, our other... f-friend."

"Another one? My Clover sure is popular."

"Yeah, whatever..." Clover mumbled.

"Umm... we hope it's okay if we have a sleepover... for the next few days."

"Hm... she already seems pretty tuckered out to me. It's okay with me, girls! Let me know if you need anything, like snacks - oh, and call me Stella. Really nice to finally meet you, hope I get to meet this Alex girl too! She seems nice!"

Stella made her way back to the door and closed it.

"Bye, Mom," said Clover.

"Bye, Mrs.- I mean, Stella," said Sam.

"Better text Alex, let her know her plans for the next couple of days... and my mother..."

Sam pulled out her phone and gave the news to Alex. Clover pushed the blanket off of her and buried her face in her hand.

"This is going to be a long week..." she said.

Clover's Room - 8:26PM

Sam and Alex sat down on the floor around Clover's bed. Sam was reading her latest checkout from the library, "Advanced Biology" and Alex was setting up her sleeping bag.

"This is so cool! I've been wanting to have a sleepover with you girls since our last mission!" Alex chirped, as she patted down her bed for the night.

"Me too! I only wish it was under better circumstances..." said Sam, eyeing Mandy on Clover's bed.

"Still asleep?" asked Alex.

"What do you think," replied Clover, "did you notice she's been whispering in my ear for the past 3 hours?"

"She is? What has she been saying?" inquired Sam.

"Something about a 'Mr. Snoozy', and then she tries to wrap her arm around me- Sam, could you move this pillow in between our heads?"

"No way!" said Alex in disbelief. The two stood up to closely examine Mandy's sleeping habits, as they haven't been paying much attention to her since she last woke up a couple of hours ago, whether to ignore the fact she was there for the limited time they had left before she woke up for good, or because they didn't want to think about what was going to happen when she did.

"Mmh... you're like, the bestest friend I've ever not hated," mumbled Mandy. She moved her sleeping hand across Clover's side and started snoring.

"See what I mean?!" squeaked Clover, raising her head away from Mandy.

"Wait, I think she's starting to wake up!" exclaimed Alex. Mandy slowly opened her eyes. At the first sight of her rivals, she wrinkled her nose and said "Sam? Alex? What's going on?"

The spies looked at each other, silently conveying an agreement to just spill the beans to her, as even attempting to hide something like this from her would be pointless.

"Listen, we got into an accident after school today. And because of that, for the time being..." Sam tried to explain to her, but the more she talked, the more aware Mandy became of the situation herself.

"Clover!? What are you doing so close to me?! Am I... oh my gosh! I am!" Mandy let out a scream and Sam and Alex quickly covered her face with a pillow.

"Girls?" Stella called from downstairs. "Are you doing okay?"

Footsteps began to come from outside of the room. "Shoot! Quick! Clover, keep this pillow on her!"

"With pleasure," said Clover.

Clover's mother opened the door and peaked from the opening.

"Yeah! Take that!" said Sam, whacking Alex with her pillow.

"Hey! I wasn't ready that time!" laughed Alex.

"Oh, hello, Stella." greeted Sam, turning away from her pillow armed opponent to face towards the door.

Stella eyed the room for a bit before saying, "Oh, sorry to interrupt you. I was just about to ask if you girls wanted anything else for dessert."

"Nope! We're okay!"

"Actually, think maybe you could bring us some more of your homemade chocolate chip coo-"

Sam turned her head and gave Alex an incredulous look. Alex just smiled back and rubbed behind her head.

"On second thought, I think I've had enough for tonight..."

"Are you sure? We could bake a few more together if you'd like."

"Awesome!- I mean, I'm suuure..."

"And how's my Clover doing?" said Stella, opening the door further and stepping in. Sam quickly jumped in front of her and said, "She's doing great! She's definitely winning this pillow fight!"

Stella looked behind Sam to get a good look at Clover on the bed. Clover held the pillow tightly against Mandy's face, suppressing her grunting while she wailed her arm and legs around. She gave her mom a casual thumbs up with a look of satisfaction on her face.

"Okay... just don't play too rough, girls. Goodnight."

The girls bid her goodnight as she left the room. She left the door slightly open before she departed to which Alex had to close it herself.

Finally, Clover lifted the pillow off of Mandy's face and she took a deep breath.

"Listen, Mandy, I don't like this is anymore than you do-"

"Weeell, I enjoyed it a little just now." Clover smugly interrupted.

"No, of course you don't! You're not the one freakishly stuck to a loser whose hair smells like a dumpster!"

"My hair does NOT smell like a dumpster!"

"Yes it does!"

"Does not!"

"Does too!"

"Does not!"

"Does too! I'm smelling it right now and it is horrendous!"

"You're horrendous. Just like your nails!"

Mandy scoffed. "Whatever! Where's my phone, I'm calling my mom to pick me up."

Sam picked up Mandy's phone and shook it to show her that she had it.

"FYI, you're not going anywhere without bringing Clover along with you." reminded Alex.

"Yeah, so just chill out, Mandy."

"This is so weird! You can't keep me here, this is like, literally kidnapping!"

"So you want people to see you like this?" asked Sam.

"I want to go home! I want to go home now!" yelled Mandy.

"Shut up, before I tell everyone at school about Mr. Snoozy!" threatened Clover.

Mandy stopped her shouting.

"How do you know about that?"

"Just keep your trap shut and go along with it until we find a way to break apart."

Mandy smacked her lips in frustration. "Fine... not like I have a choice anyway."

"Good." Sam and Alex sat back down on their bags and sighed. "It's been a long day, so let's all go to sleep early."

"Right there with you," said Alex.

Sam turned off the lights and the room went dark. The girls laid in their beds getting ready to rest.

"So, who is Mr. Snoozy?" asked Alex, breaking the momentary silence in the room.

"Sssshhh!" sushed Mandy.

"Oh. Okay."

...

"And I don't sleep with it anymore!" Mandy attested out of the blue.

"Whatever you say, Mandy," said Sam, just trying to keep her eyes closed.

...

"I can't sleep, Sam, hand me my phone."

On Friday morning, Clover and Mandy were able to get the hang of walking around together, and Clover managed to change out of her half spy uniform while Mandy was still asleep. In order to hide their conjoinment from the students, they decided to have them wear the sweater Mandy bought a day earlier, which was fortunately made to be worn by 2 people. While walking in the halls that day, the two felt all eyes on them - more than usual that is. Everybody was under the impression that they were doing the Valentine's Day event early. The teachers comically allowed it.

On Saturday evening, Clover opted to stay inside but Mandy insisted that being cooped up in her room was a waste of a Saturday night, but Clover wouldn't budge. They spent the night streaming rom coms, to which Mandy took shots at every single movie Clover liked. Even if it was a film she herself enjoyed. This led to a big fight, just like any other.

Sunday wasn't as 'peaceful' as the day before. Mandy was sick of staying at Clover's house and wanted to go do something. Anything. So she yapped and yapped and yapped until Clover agreed to leave the house with her. The two went to the park where they got even more stares from people walking by. Mandy was quick to let them know that they weren't friends. Clover didn't care, as she knew they were always going to hate each other.

Monday at school caused great disturbance for Dominique and Caitlin, Mandy's friends. They thought it was some out of season April Fools joke, or that Mandy was only doing it to get some dirt on her. But as the days went by and Mandy wasn't answering her text messages regarding her sudden attachment - oh, if only they knew - to Clover, they got even more suspicious that they were becoming friends. This got everybody talking, so to dispel this rumor, Mandy agreed to hang out with Dominique and Caitlin over at her house - as long as Clover wore a bag over her head. Much to her annoyance. She only went along with it because she hated the rumors as well. When asked about their sudden togetherness, Clover responded with "I don't have the strength to break away."

Things started to tense up again on Tuesday. Sam and Alex spent most of their lunch period arguing with Dominique and Caitlin who got to hang out with who. Sam and Alex wanted Clover, while Dominique and Caitlin wanted Mandy. The 4 were practically playing tug of war with the conjoined enemies all day. That night, Clover and Mandy flopped back into their bed and thought, "I've got to break away."

On Wednesday afternoon...

Tulip's Apartment - 11:02AM

Tulip screwed the metal back into its place on the raygun, having completed her upgrades to the weapon, allowing rapid firing without the need for recharging after each shot. "Finally... if those annoying teenagers show up again, they're through - each other. Hahahaha!"

She stood up from her chair with the raygun in hand. She took one last look out of her window to the sight of people holding hands, laughing, and happily going about their day with their loved ones. She curled her lip.

"Makes me sick... sick to my stomach! Let's see if you people keep that same energy when you're breathing from the same lungs."

Mandy's House - 3:49PM

"Things are the same as they were yesterday... and the day before that... and before that..." said Clover.

"I just got off the phone with Jerry, he said he and the team are getting close to an antidote." said Sam on the other line.

"Did you also tell him to hurry up? I'm seriously at my breaking point!

"Serious! If I have to spend another day with this snob I'm going to be driven to insanity!" said Mandy, on a call of her own.

"You know I'm right here, right?" said Clover.

Mandy tapped her earbud. "Sorry, what?"

"I said I'm right-"

"Wait, I don't care." Mandy tapped her earbud again and continued talking to Dominique. "Oh my gosh... No, I haven't forgotten about that..."

"Did you hear me?" asked Sam.

"No, did you say something?"

"Yes... I said Jerry also told me and Alex that there are new reports of conjoined civilians. Same places as before."

"Are you heading there now?" whispered Clover.

"Yeah. We'll let you know when we've apprehended her."

"Get her good for me, Sammy. Wish I could be there myself..."

"Us too. But it's important you skip out on the spy missions with Mandy on your back."

"You mean my side."

"At least you still have a sense of humor. Talk to you later."

Sam disconnected from the call and Clover lowered her phone, at the same time Mandy just got off the phone too.

"Come on, we're leaving," said Mandy, standing up. Clover's leg wobbled as she struggled to keep a footing.

"Woah, what the heck are you talking about?" questioned Clover, "We went out with your cronies yesterday, today we stay home."

"Not an option. I have a date and I'm not going to let a tumor like you stop me."

"A date, huh?" Clover remembered that Randy and Mandy were going out on this day. An idea sparked in her mind that she was going to go on this date and she would enjoy it. Her way.

"To the bathroom, we- I have to get ready."

The two headed inside Mandy's giant bathroom and spent almost 2 hours primping. Clover snuck some of her beauty supplies while she wasn't paying attention to pretty herself up for the date. Before they left they put on their mish mash of dresses. "Here, put this on." Mandy handed her a costume shaped like a present with a bright red ribbon on top. "It's a reservation kind of dinner, they won't let us in if it says 2 and we show up with 3."

"Where did you get something like this?" asked Clover.

"Ugh, just do it already!" huffed Mandy.

The costume had no eye holes. "How am I supposed to see out of this?"

"You don't, duh. I don't want you saying a word either. You're soo just going to ruin everything - not like you already have."

Clover hesitantly put on the costume. "Whatever."
