"Perfect Stallion" from My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

Weddings were one thing that made everyone go crazy. Who could really blame them? The music, the dancing, amazing food and beautiful cake, the gathering of so many friends and family members, and the most important part, seeing the bride and groom so happy together as they stand at the altar and make a vow of everlasting love to each other.

It was no secret that this was no ordinary wedding either. Today, Brenda Monroe-Dawson was getting married for the second time, but this time to her first love Jedi Master Mace Windu. After fifteen years of being apart when Mace was given the ultimatum to choose either his girlfriend or the Jedi, Mace found the daughter he didn't know he had, and he and Brenda rekindled their romance, and here, in this beautiful church, they were finally going to be married and officially be a family at last.

Mace stood up at the altar, looking so handsome in his purple tuxedo, Master Yoda standing beside him as the best man. The human Jedi, however, looked very nervous. What groom wasn't nervous on his wedding day, though?

The organ's beautiful music filled the air, and Kade was walking down the aisle as the ring bearer with Strawberry walking beside him, Goldie and Mona riding on the horse's back and sprinkling beautiful flowers, looking absolutely adorable doing it, all of them. Now that Kade's adoption was finalized, Mace wouldn't just be his stepfather once he and Brenda were married; he would officially be his father.

Mona and Goldie continued to sprinkle flowers, but accidentally threw some on Strawberry's muzzle, which would've made her sneeze had she not snorted them away. Heidi and Myra each walked down the aisle too, both of them looking lovely in the purple bridesmaids dresses and crowns of lavender flowers they wore.

Everyone soon got excited as at the end of the aisle, there appeared a new, very beautiful figure who was absolutely glowing. And seeing that figure, Mace's nerves started to vanish.

Harmony took that as her cue to conduct the band to play "Here Comes the Bride"

As the music played, in came Brenda, being walked in by her father James Monroe. She looked so beautiful in her wedding dress of fine white lace all adorned with sparkling gold embroidery, her hair done in a neat bun decorated from which hung a long veil with little purple and white flowers to match her bouquet.

"Wow." the preacher said.

"Wow." Mace sighed happily, still unable to believe he got so lucky to be marrying such a beauty.

"Wow." even Yoda couldn't help voicing how lucky Mace was.

James gave his daughter a kiss and slowly let go of her hand, and Brenda's smile grew as she stepped up onto the altar and stood in front of Mace at last, just like she always dreamed.

"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to join Mace Windu and Brenda Monroe in the sacred bond of marriage."

Kade sneezed as the preacher was speaking, prompting Mace to glance at him for a moment, but the boy regained his composure and just smiled like nothing was wrong, and the groom returned his attention to his bride.

Mace and Brenda looked into each other's eyes as the preacher went on and on for what felt like forever. And soon came the very special moment that came right before they would finally kiss as husband and wife.

"May I have the rings?" said the preacher.

Except, when the preacher and the couple looked at the ring bearer and flower girls, Brenda gasped. The kids were all an absolute mess! Strawberry, for some reason, was in a dress like Tiana's and was dowsed with what looked like blue paint, Goldie was also dowsed in paint, but the paint on her was green and she was covered in glitter too, Mona was covered in yellow paint and she had a bike helmet on for some reason, and Kade was covered in pink paint and garbage, which made him smell awful.

Everyone looked oddly as the very dirty ring bearer walked up and presented the rings, which were surprisingly clean, to his parents.

Despite their initial confusion and concern, Mace and Brenda placed the rings on one another, and the preacher concluded the ceremony.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss."

And they did!

It felt so wonderful in this moment. Everyone cheered as Mace and Brenda kissed, finally married. Brenda's parents were so happy for their daughter, and so were Heidi and Rhett. But Myra and Kade were the happiest of all. Their family was officially all together now, and their parents were finally married, as they'd dreamed of for so long.

Now it was time to celebrate... once the flower girls and ring bearer got cleaned up.

After a quick stop to give the children and Strawberry a bath, and a little spell from Gabby and Carmine to fix their outfits, the rest of the wedding party was able to make it to the reception.

"Care to explain how you got so filthy earlier?" Brenda asked the children.

"Well... that's kind of a crazy story, Mommy." Kade said.

Flashback to the wedding ceremony...

Kade and the girls were standing by just happily gazing at the moment that was the beginning of the wedding ceremony, when one of Goldie's flowers fell from the basket and tickled Kade's nose. The boy tried to not sneeze, but failed miserably. Except the sneeze itself was the least of his problems, as he'd accidentally jerked the pillow in the process, and flung the wedding rings out the door!

Kade gasped.

"May I have the rings?" the preacher said.

Brenda gasped and Mace looked horrified when they saw the rings were gone.

"Those were my grandmother's wedding rings!" Brenda's mother scolded angrily.

"The wedding is lost!" exclaimed one guest.

And everyone was panicking.

Of course, that was just the what if scenario in Kade's head.

When Mace looked at him, Kade angled the pillow so his stepfather wouldn't notice the missing rings and just smiled like nothing was wrong. But of course, the scenario in his head could probably happen. There was no way Kade was going to just sit and do nothing. So, he carefully crept away while no one was looking and rushed after the rings, but he wasn't alone.

"Grab the rings!" Kade exclaimed, trying to grab one.

"I got it! Oh! No I don't!" Goldie said, trying to grab the other ring.

But those rings were awfully fast! The rings went right into the streets!

The children ran after the rings and just barely managed to dodge losing them to storm drains, people stepping on them, or them getting flung onto vehicles and lost for good. Then the rings went in opposite directions.

"You go after that one, we'll get this one!" Strawberry said, carrying Kade while Mona and Goldie went after another ring.

Strawberry tried to grab the ring with her teeth, but it kept slipping away, and she and Kade started crashing into things in the marketplace, including a clothing stand, where Strawberry crashed into a rack and accidentally got caught in a dress. Of course, she didn't neglect to throw some credits to the sales person.

Meanwhile, Goldie and Mona went after the other ring and managed to catch up with it and an arts and crafts fair that was going on a few blocks away, but they ended up crashing into one of the tables that had several open paint cans on it that dumped all over Goldie and Mona, and then Goldie bumped into someone who was carrying a huge load of glitter and spilled that all over her too.

But luckily, on the ground, Mona spotted something shiny. A brand new ring. A man's ring.

"I found it!" Mona exclaimed, holding Mace's wedding ring.

For good measure, Mona tied the ring onto the necklace she was wearing so she and Goldie wouldn't lose it again.

Strawberry and Kade kept going after Brenda's ring and kept on trying to grab it, only for the ring to land on the teeter totter at a playground, and the higehr part got hit by a ball, sending the ring flying off somewhere, so Strawberry flew after it too and Kade managed to grab it... but not without falling off of Strawberry, who crashed into a hanging platform where some painters were working, and two open cans of pink and blue paint toppled over. Strawberry could save herself by flying, but Kade fell into the back of a garbage truck, and Strawberry had to rescue him.

Luckily, Kade made sure he didn't lose his mom's ring, by wearing it on his finger.

That was when Strawberry looked at the time and realized it was going to be time to give the rings soon. There was no time to take a bath. They needed to find Mona and Goldie and hurry back to the wedding! Luckily, Mona and Goldie managed to hitch a ride with a police droid, which was where Mona got the bike helmet, and they met Strawberry and Kade back at the church to discreetly get back in just in time for Kade to give the wedding rings

Present time...

"And you know the rest." Strawberry said.

"I think I speak for both your mother and I in saying that while we appreciate your dedication to the ring bearing job," said Mace, ruffling Kade's hair. "Rings can be replaced, so they aren't really something to risk life and limb for."

"They are if they're a family heirloom. Grandma Cecelia says they were her grandma's, and I didn't want her to be upset if they got lost."

"I'm sure she'll appreciate you saying that, Baby." Brenda said, giving her son a kiss.

Kade looked at Mace and said, "Now that you and Mommy are married, does that mean I can call you Dad now?"

Mace smiled and replied, "I've been hoping you would for a long time."

Despite a minor mishap with some of the wedding party suddenly getting dirty thanks to some lost rings, the wedding was going perfectly, even better than Brenda ever dreamed of. It was pretty much as lovely as when she'd married Lyle. No one could replace him, but Brenda knew he was watching over her and the children today, and no doubt was happy she was once again wed to a man who would love her and take care of her and the children.

Speaking of children, there also came a time for a special dance for all parents and children. Since Mace didn't have parents around for this day, he shared a mother-son dance with his now official mother-in-law.

For Anakin, it looked more like Ring Around the Rosie between him and his three daughters, while Padme held Luke in her arm and held Boba's hand so she could dance with both of her boys. Garrett danced with Goldie, but Mona naturally wanted to dance with Hunter first. Naturally, Plo and Shaak each had a dance with their two children, and this time Comedia and Ki-Adi went a little more slowly so they wouldn't fall down this time.

"One, two, three, one, two three." Ki-Adi counted as he and Comedia began a little waltz. "That's it, dear. Good!"

"Looks like all that extra practice has paid off," said the alicorn. "Now we won't have to worry about dancing when I get married someday."

Ki-Adi still shuddered at the thought of Comedia growing up too quickly.

"Comedia, that will come when you're ready. For now, I think the only man whose love you require is mine."

Comedia snorted a sigh. She couldn't deny it; the bond between a father and daughter was super special kind of bond. Even though she wasn't a filly anymore, she felt like one inside ever since her adoptive father started taking care of her. But, there was a difference between awakening that little girl inside her and her father treating her like a baby.

Lately, Comedia was a little concerned for her father. She noticed he seemed kinda lonely, and over the last few months since she got adopted, she noticed a pattern with him.

A few months ago...

Ki-Adi came home with a human woman he'd told Comedia he was seeing. They weren't officially a couple yet, but Comedia was excited for her father. Her name was Doreen.

"I'm so excited to meet your little girl, Ki-Adi." Doreen had said.

"She is equally excited to meet you." Ki-Adi said, walking his lady in. "Comedia, we're here."

"Coming, Daddy." Comedia called back, and into the room she came. "Hi, there!"

Doreen, however, looked shocked. "Um... you didn't tell me you had a horse. But, where's your daughter?"

"This is my daughter. This is Comedia."

"Nice to meet you." Comedia raised her hoof to shake. "Don't worry, there's no buzzer this time."

Except, Doreen didn't look comfortable at all. "Is this a joke? You didn't tell me you call a pet your daughter."

"I didn't think it mattered what species she is."

Of course, that did not end well.

Another day, Ki-Adi asked another woman he'd met to lunch with him and his daughter. This time, he met a nice Rodian woman named Maura. But when she met Comedia.

"You call a horse your daughter?" Maura gasped.

"Is that a problem?" Ki-Adi asked.

"Maybe we should just go." Comedia suggested said.

Ki-Adi didn't think they should, but Maura did agree on that.

"I can't be with someone who's obviously not well in his large head."

"Hey, no need to criticize his head size!" Comedia snorted.

Ki-Adi went on dates with three other women, and had no luck with any of them. The moment each woman found out Ki-Adi's daughter was a horse, they all thought he was crazy. Comedia hated to see how her species seemed to affect her father's love life. One night, she even asked Ki-Adi as he tucked her into bed, "Is it my fault you can't find a girlfriend?"

"No! No, of course not, Dear. Sadly, a lot of people just... aren't used to the idea of a horse being a biped's child." Ki-Adi said. "But, that's no matter to worry about. For now, you are the only lady love I need."

Present day...

Comedia couldn't help getting to thinking. Daddy needs a girlfriend.

The only problem was finding someone who wouldn't mind that his daughter was a horse.

Brenda and Mace hugged their children as it was now time for them to head off for their honeymoon. Brenda's family would be taking care of Myra and Kade until they returned.

"Be good for your grandparents and Aunt Heidi, children." Brenda said.

"We will Mommy... Daddy." Kade said, making Mace smile.

"We'll see you in a couple of weeks." Mace said, ruffling Kade's hair.

"Have fun on your honeymoon, Mom and Dad." Myra said.

"You two lovebirds be safe now," said Cecilia. "We'll take good care of the children."

It was the weekend, and Comedia was getting to know Tech a little better by letting him talk about his interests... except she didn't seem that focused.

"Comedia, your glancing at that magazine indicates you are not paying attention." Tech said.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, Tech." Comedia said. "I've just got a little something on my mind since the wedding. Mostly about my dad."

"Is he giving you a hard time about you having a no longer secret boyfriend again?"

"No. Well, yes, but that's not what bothers me. It's his love life I'm concerned with. He's been trying to find a date for a while, but he's had no luck. Every woman he meets, she's fine that he has a kid, except, as soon as they learn I'm a horse, they dump him."

Comedia sighed.

"I feel like it's my fault he can't get a date. And what if I do get married and he's still single then, and he's lonely all the time?"

"There is always the option he could move in with you and your future husband, which would provide someone to look after future children of yours."

"Well, yeah there's that, but... I think it's a little also that... it would be kinda nice to have a mom too."

"Do you not already have one?"

"She was abusive to me!" Comedia exclaimed, which startled Tech. But, Comedia settled her demeanor. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you. It's just a really touchy subject for me. When Emeraldi and I grew apart, Queen Reigna was the closest someone to a mom I ever had, and I didn't get to see her or my other cousins as often as I would've liked."

"Perhaps the problem is that he is not notifying ahead of time that you are a horse and that would spare him the heartbreak."

"Tech, you have a girlfriend. How did you know Mila was the one?"

"That is one thing I cannot compare to any data. But, I would have to say the best explanation is that Mila and I bonded over common interests and eventually we found that we connect with each other in ways neither of us can truly explain, and eventually after careful consideration of how Mila and I spoke of a potential future, I decided to propose to her. The process, however, was hard work, but my desire to show Mila how much I care about her, that made it feel less like work and more like... a quest. In a manner of speaking, that is likely how finding a romantic partner should make people feel."

"Tech, that was beautiful." Comedia said. And then she had an idea. "I think I might know how to help him."

So, Comedia went to talk to Carmine, knowing he had struggles with his love life in the past, and that he helped a few friends before with theirs. And they went to visit Myra and her family.

"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe." Comedia said. "Carmine and I are going for a stroll, and we were wondering if Myra, Kade, and Rhett would like to come with us.

Mrs. Monroe called the children over, and they were happy to join Comedia and Carmine on their stroll. Of course, then Comedia explained her situation with her father and his love life.

"What exactly do you need our help with?" Myra said.

"Well, it took a while for your parents to get together, but your mom was married before then. I figured you might have some input for finding someone special. And Rhett, I guess I thought he would know what not to look for." Comedia said. "Sorry if that offensive."

"None taken." Rhett said.

"So, you're trying to find a girlfriend for your dad?"

"Pretty much, but I don't know much about grownups' romance. Remix and I haven't even been together a year yet."

"Ooh! What about Aunt Heidi?" Kade suggested. "She's nice. And if she married your dad, we'd be cousins."

"Um... probably not the best idea, Kade." Myra said. "She's just gotten out of a nasty relationship."

"Yeah. My mom is still in the recovery process and finalizing the restraining order against my dad. With that and looking after me, dating is the last thing she needs right now." Rhett said.

"That's why I've asked you all to come with me to help. My dad clearly isn't having any luck finding someone on his own. Horses have good instincts about people, but so do each of you humans. And humans with good instincts are not always easy to come by."

"Well, I haven't had a lot of boyfriends," said Myra. "But you're right that I do know how to spot jerks."

"And Kade..." Comedia said. "You're cute and innocent. A lady who's good with kids is a must for my dad."

"Well, what else would your father like in a woman?" Carmine asked. "What did all the women he dated before have in common... besides dumping him and having a problem with you being a horse?"

Amid an eye roll, Comedia thought. Ki-Adi defintely would like a woman who's sweet, compassionate, likes kids, has a good sense of humor, doesn't mind that vegetarianism is the primary diet in his home, and of course she wouldn't call him crazy for having a horse for a daughter.

"My dad deserves a woman who will love him no matter what. He says I'm the only lady love he needs now, but I think he just needs help finding a romantic lady love." Comedia said.

And so it began, the search for a lady for Ki-Adi.

Comedia:

Ki-Adi is sweet and kind,

He's the best father I could hope for.

The perfect girlfriend you and I must find

One to really make his heart so-o-oar.

So, the group looked around at lots of women around town, but none of them seemed right for one reason or another.

In the park, Comedia came across a little girl playing in the sandbox and a woman much older than Ki-Adi feeding some birds, and one girl who seemed like she shouldn't be outside because she was sniffling.

But...This one's too young,

This one's too old.

She clearly has a terrible cold.

Woman: Achoo!

Comedia gave the sick girl a hanky.

Myra:

This girl's too silly.

She's way too uptight.

Well-dressed woman: I say!

Then, Carmine spotted a lovely Pantoran woman with curly hair sitting on a bench.

Carmine:

Well nothing's wrong with this one,She seems alright...

Except, Rhett saw a male Pantoran get on one knee and propose to that very woman. She was obviously taken.

Rhett: Her boyfriend sure thinks so.

Then Comedia came across a woman wearing a very flashy sequin dress so bright the alicorn had to wear sunglasses.

Comedia:

How 'bout this one?

Myra: She's much too flashy.

Kade then noted a woman who was jogging, only for her to accidentally splash Carmine and Comedia

Kade:She might do!

Carmine & Comedia:If she weren't so splashy!

So, they kept looking, but no woman they came across seemed right.

Comedia:Too short.

Myra:Too tall.

Rhett:Too clean.

Kade (holding his nose): Too smelly.

Carmine:Too strangely obsessed with red hair jelly.

Everyone sighed as they'd searched for hours and found no single woman who would be a good match for Master Mundi.

Myra:

I don't think that we're mistaken,

It seems all the good ones are taken.

Comedia

I really feel that at this rate,We'll never find the perfect date.

Everyone:

Don't wanna quit and give up hope!

That was when the group came across Ms. Susy, as she was just getting out from her new job at a local ballet school.

Rhett:

Got a romantic partner at the moment?

Myra (crossing her fingers):Oh please, oh please oh please say—

Ms. Susy: Nope.

Everyone gasped happily.

Comedia:

We did it guys,We've found the one!

Who will send my father's heart aflutter!

But Carmine froze; that was his adoptive mother.

Carmine:

Wait a minute.

Let me get this straight.

Are you talking about my mother?

"Comedia, this is crazy!" Carmine said.

"Why? They seem like they'd be a great match." Comedia said. "Ms. Susy is very sweet, she raised you well, and she already knows that I'm a horse and my dad adopted me too. And the way she fought that dinosaur game to save your wife and niece... that shows she's not willing to go down without a fight. I've seen how good she is with Lamenta and Charlotte, and even the other children. She'd be a great match for my dad. They could at least start out as friends. That'd be a start."

"I really don't think we should set your dad with my mom."

"Why not? Is there something wrong with my dad?"

"No! I didn't say that. I just... I just don't think it's a good idea."

"You'll have to do better than that, Carmine. Unless you can think of a better reason for our parents not to date, we're getting them on at least one date."

Still, Carmine wasn't so sure about it. Comedia didn't know yet, but Carmine knew some things about Susy and her romantic past that he didn't tend to bring up for a number of reasons. For as long as he could remember, since he'd arrived at Melody Academy, when he wasn't in classes or spending time with his friends, and especially in the summer time, it was just the two of them. And any time Carmine asked if she ever thought about meeting someone special, Ms. Susy would tell her adopted son, "The only man I need and love in my life, is my special prince," and she'd kiss him on the nose. So, she was pretty much married to her job as a teacher and a mother.

"The only question is what would be a good first date for them?" Comedia wondered out loud.

"How about we just wait for them to ask each other out?" Carmine suggested.

"That could take a while, but I guess we could see if they'll come across each other on their own."

It was just as well, because soon Tech came to retrieve Comedia for a new mission.
