When I first wrote this story, I had a clear vision—but as time went on, I realized that vision wasn't fully realized in the way I wanted. There were aspects that, in retrospect, didn't land as strongly as they should have. Some scenes needed more depth, others needed to be extended, and certain moments—especially the death scenes—needed a complete overhaul to better serve the story.

That's why I'm reworking it. This isn't a new story, but rather the definitive version of what I always intended. Think of it like what George Lucas did with the Star Wars Special Editions—except instead of CGI creatures and altered dialogue, I'm refining the pacing, expanding key moments, and reconstructing certain story beats to better align with the sequels I have planned.

There were choices I made in the original version that I now recognize as missteps, things that felt right at the time but ultimately didn't serve the bigger picture. This rework is about fixing those issues and molding the story into its final form—the version I always meant to tell.

If you've read the original, you'll still recognize the core of what made the story what it is. But you'll also find new scenes, extended moments, and crucial rewrites that enhance everything. It's the same journey, just finally told the way it was meant to be.

I appreciate everyone who's stuck with me through this process. This rework isn't just for me—it's for all of you who saw the potential in this story and wanted more.
