It really has been a year huh? Never thought it'd get this far, but sure am happy it did. Part 2 of Sensei Ranma is dropping, and now Tenchi and crew get to join in on the fun. Or chaos. Well I guess since it's Ranma, Tenchi and Usagi at the forefront, Chaos is bound to show up aint it?
-Story Start-
This was a situation that Usagi honestly never previously considered herself ever being in. She was still barely seventeen. It was already enough of a miracle that she was five months pregnant and not falling apart because of it. In fact if one was to look at her life recently it was all full of milestones that really just didn't make sense for someone her age. A secret defender of love and justice by night. Destroying demons and evil primordial gods in her spare time. A reincarnated princess to a forgotten kingdom with a host of friends and allies that were also sent to the future. She had found love in a literal Phoenix King and was in a bit of a polycule relationship with said man and all of her friends and honestly wasn't upset in the slightest. Oh.
Did she mention that she was a Queen. Queen to an interstellar empire no less.
It had been a busy few months ever since they had come clean to Earth and the world at large. A flurry of activity as her citizens, now dubbed either the Lunarians or the Venutians depending on what world or satellite they resided on, but ultimately citizens of her crystal empire one and all. Because she had a people to oversee and rule. Her friends, the rest of the Sailor Senshi, did their best to help her and she could easily admit she would not have made it this far without them. Nor would she be as sane as she was if she did not have Ranma, her love and husband. Sure she loved the others, the Tendo sisters and the rest of her sister wives, but Ranma was their heart. They might want to say that she was the glue that held them together, the moral center that kept them from going off the deep end. But she knew better. Ranma. The Phoenix King. A Kami. He was the one that kept them on the right path, kept them going when it felt like things were getting overwhelming.
They had had more than a few conversations about just leaving Earth alone and to their own fate. Usagi was almost willing to let it happen after some of the conversations she had with other world leaders. Oh the US wanted to exchange information on technology and advanced systems, of course they wouldn't turn them into weapons. Such a wild accusation and anyone who said as such was a Marxist or a dirty commie, which ever sounded worse in the moment. China wanted to talk about the missing Amazon tribe that they certainly cared for dearly? Suck a lemon, they were Ranma and Shampoo's to care for. Russia wanted to talk natural resources and food? Was that because they irradiated their own countryside? Wasn't Usagi's problem, nor would she offer to help for no reason. On and on it went and the young Queen began to understand why most normal people wanted nothing to do with politics. Rei had it right, only self centered prats seemed to want to do this.
But her saint of a husband Ranma was a fan of continuing to try. Putting in the effort. Putting their best foot forward and showing a brave and strong face. But it was hard to understand why sometimes. And today was highlighting that fact.
She had been putting it off for a long while, this meeting between nations, but she couldn't do it any longer. A United Nations summit. Between the G8 and the Crystal Empire for a deliberation of vital importance. To question if they would induct the Crystal Empire into the fold. Of course, as she sat in a modified pantsuit in her colors, pregnancy on full display as she listened to the leader of France go on and on about how nice it was to have another woman leader sit at the table, Usagi mentally sighed and wished she could be at home. She did not have the patience for politics she had found out. This was Setsuna's realm. Heck even Nabiki could handle this better than she could or even Rei could sit through this and be coached. But this was not a day for ambassadors or wait staff. Today was an assembly of the world leaders themselves. All with the same sort of questions that she had believed she had answered months ago with the broadcast from Japan. Only now she got to sit face to face with these men and women who smiled at her while plotting how they could use her behind her back.
"So tell me Mrs. Serenity, if your empire truly does not wish to rule over Earth. What shall you do? You are obviously far more advanced when compared to the rest of the world, how could we possible have a chance to catch up to you?" The older woman had a smile on her face that did not reach her eyes, and Usagi wanted to smack it right off her face. At the least, the busy assembly hall they all found themselves in was clean and bright. High bay windows offering a view of the ocean just beyond them while the skylights were wide open to provide more natural light for them. A host of warships, most from the United States, all sat in waiting in the distance. Protection detail for the US President though they claimed it was also for the defense of every world leader here. To some guilty pleasure Usagi mentally smirked as no one could mistake the elegant and curved spaceship that was Usagi's own transport refusing to yield to the waves. Not the Queen's Regalia this time, an ambassadorial vessel they had quickly reconstructed from their records. The Miriko if she remembered correctly. All elegant curves and a mix of white and chrome, she had to admit that it was pretty. It resembled a great falcon with its wings folded once landed in the water. Though she wished it wasn't so large, it was nearly as large as the US aircraft carrier, the Ford if she remembered correctly. Another point that was making some of the older men sore, especially the President of the United States.
"As I've said, my goal is to care for my people and I've found that even that itself is a full time job. Earth has its own governance, and I'm happy to not be involved with it." Yes. Like Usagi wanted to get into the metaphorical dick waving currently going on between the USA, Russia and China. No thank you. Please leave her out of it. If she gave Haruka or Rei the option, they'd raze every world military to the ground. Not that she hadn't considered it once or twice. "Besides, now that Venus has stabilized, we've been considering opening up our borders to tourism and some minor trade."
Overhearing their conversation, it was the Russian President Vladamir who spoke loudly and hotly. An aging man who was already balding but kept a visually physically fit figure. Usagi had to remind herself that to normal people he would probably be impressive. Maybe. It might also be true that she was spoiled getting to see Ranma every day. Now he was a manly specimen. "Tourism. To boast of such…technological advancement but offer no military of their own. I believe the Crystal Empire shows themselves to be the paper tiger that they are."
Before Usagi could even consider replying, because who would even bother making such a claim of a civilization that literally traveled the stars and colonized worlds, it was the leader of the United States who sighed and waved a hand back and forth. Peller if Usagi remember the man's name. Brown haired and thin, Usagi could probably mistake him for lawyer, "More like Russia is projecting its feelings like usual. Why not focus on your own issues instead of everyone else."
"As if the US has a leg to stand on when it comes to minding their own business. How's southern America doing?"
"Don't make it our business, and we won't get involved. Plus that's not our fault, go talk to Iran."
Usagi had originally been rather surprised that these leaders, people who made decisions that affected millions if not billions of people would speak so openly and frankly. Before she was reminded once more that the camera's were off. Once they were back on? Well, then the politic speak restarted and her headache would grow.
In her ear, her three times explained and just as quickly forgotten heavily encrypted radio chirped to life, "Having fun there Serenity-sama?" Setsuna's voice was calm and clear in her ear with obvious mirth, and Usagi wanted to bite back something fierce. She couldn't at the moment, because they weren't supposed to have any communication devices in this hall. Most of the larger countries did of course with the knowledge that no one could stop them, Setsuna had scanned the room and verified such, but it didn't really matter in the end as Usagi sighed and relaxed back to continue listening to Camille complain about the failures of men.
Setsuna was quick to try and make her feel better, "For what it's worth, this is only scheduled to continue for another two hours, and then we can return home." Across the hall and leaning against a wall with the rest of the various security staff, Setsuna smirked at the irritation that washed through the mental link she had with Usagi. "Heavy is the crown my Lady."
"Well you can have it." Usagi blurted out, interrupting her current partner who was in the middle of a long rant about how the German leader had once stiffed her on a bill for a restaurant meeting.
"What was that dear? Something to add?"
"No no. Sorry, just that Johann sounds like a bit of an ass." Usagi smiled and chuckled as Camille's face brightened considerably.
"Yes thank you! I've been saying that for such a long time but no one else understands. Oh it is so refreshing to have someone to talk to properly. Imagine trying to have a civilized conversation with those barbarians in the US. Dreadful really. I don't normally agree with the English or the Queen...well not you dear, the old crone I mean, but they can be such Yankees."
Usagi nodded along as more staffers started to mill about the room. Guess the actual meeting was going to start soon. What a joy. She sure hoped Ranma and the rest were having a better time today. She needed to be home. Her ankles would appreciate the lower gravity on the Moon. So would her lower back to be honest. Past her needed a spanking. Letting herself get pregnant and enduring all of this change. Sure the larger breasts were nice and Ranma sure paid pleasant attention to them, but everything else was for the birds! Ranma owed her a foot message. Scratch that a full body message! With warm oil while Rei fed her cookies. If her magic hadn't gone full tilt into helping nurse the baby she'd just wish this all away. But even that couldn't save her from the joys of impending motherhood. Yay.
-b-
Ranma wouldn't admit to his currently hard at work wife that he was having the time of his life, but it was certainly a close third. The training field they had put together on the outskirts Cythera could also be considered a giant arena all on its own, but it was for their new and old military recruits. Magical soldiers that had once been the bread and butter of the Silver Millennium now retraining and gaining new members as the Crystal Empire grew and learned from the past's mistakes. Venus was quickly becoming the next largest Capital of their little empire, though the Moon Palace would probably always be their center.
But today wasn't for such thoughts as he back-flipped over a blast of magical fire with a laugh and a grin. "Oh so close! Com'on you can do better than that can't you? You're taking on the Phoenix King here, if you're gonna use fire, it better be impressive!" Feet touching down for all of a second, Ranma's view was filled by a man easily twice his size. Oh what were they feeding this one? The Heavy mace that crashed down into the ground where he was once standing threw up dirt and debris to obscure everyone's view. Something that brought a frown to Sensei Ranma's face. "If you're going to use heavy weapons, you must have control! Think of your surroundings and your comrades and don't make it more difficult for everyone else!" Bouncing backwards once, twice, three times before pausing and taking a deep breath, Ranma let his magic spread throughout the arena. Up in the stands Rei, Minako and Haruka were all watching on. Rei looking bored while Minako relaxed and grinned as she leaned against the guard rail and Haruka looked seconds away from jumping down herself.
"Can I please join in? This isn't fair, I need to spar from time to time!" Haruka wasn't usually one to complain, but things had been so busy lately that none of them had really any time to blow off any steam. She was starting to feel like she was never going to get the chance to fight anyone again. Yes it was nice that all the dark forces and evil entities were gone and leaving them alone. But she was starting to get antsy and bored!
Rolling her eyes and feeling her friend's frustration, Minako leaned against the low wall and smiled as Ranma physically tossed the largest man of the training group across the yard. There were a smattering of cheers and low groans from the stands as fellow recruits and trainees all watched on and waited for their turn down on the pitch. "Uh huh. As if you need anymore physical exercise. You and Michiru. Did you forget that I can feel everything that goes on with Venus. Especially anything that happens between the other Senshi?"
Blushing and feeling the heat creeping up her neck, Haruka did her best to focus on the fight below, Ranma now engaged in dodging through artful thrusts and spins against a woman armed with a Naginata. "I-I-I don't know what you're talking about." The arena erupted in a conflagration of light and heat, there were shouts of dismay and Ranma soared through the air on wings of magical fire.
Minako's smirk grew to even more shit eating proportions. Voice going high pitched in a poor mockery of Haruka's voice, "Oh Ranma, please please fill me with your seed. Make me happy to be a woman…Oh you reach so much deeper than-"
Tackling the laughing woman, Haruka's blush went full nuclear, "Why would you be listening in you pervert?! Is nothing sacred to you!?" She would die. After this she would fire an earth shaking into the ground and dive head first into the hole. Anything would be better than this. Minako was the last woman she would want to know about her escapades. Now everyone would know!
Sighing as more combatants were beginning to drop out and get shuttled to the sidelines, Rei stood to her full height with a hand on her hip, "If anything you made it everyone else's problem. The weight room really isn't sound proofed. Plus, Michiru likes to brag. Loudly." It wasn't that everyone else wanted to know about what the Outer Senshi pair got up to, but Michiru and Makoto seemed to be in a total tit for tat contest of who could get up to more and more outrageous acts. Makoto was currently in the lead, getting caught in one of the storage closets with Ranma and Ami mid coitus. A scandal considering most thought Ami wasn't even interested in any type of sex at all. Michiru thought the workout room scandal would put them over the edge, but it was already known Haruka was softer than she let on. She'd have to try harder. "I'm about to call it. They're starting to flag out and Ranma is gonna start diving into the weird." She should have been concerned when Ranma mentioned one day that he might try using magic to fake a nuclear explosion. She had actually become concerned when a new crater was born just south of Phoenix mountain. Now Phoenix Lake, she shuddered and reminded herself that Ranma was their King for a reason. Didn't Setsuna once say he was going to get even stronger as time went on? Or was that Usa-chan from the future? She couldn't remember.
Shivering as no one wanted that, Minako was up and tossing Haruka through the air with magically augmented strength. Hands cupping her mouth as Haruka crashed into empty stands, her smile was still wide, "RANMA DEAR! TIME TO STOP PLAYING WITH THE CHILDREN!"
Ranma would be the first to remind the Senshi of Venus that these were not children but adults, but then decided to let it go. Retreating and taking stock of his opponents, Ranma did have to admit that the dozen or so trainees were looking worse for wear. "Alright fine, let's call it here for today. You're all doing well, a big improvement from last time!" Standing tall with both hands on his hips, Ranma didn't have a drop of sweat on him nor was he breathing hard. Perks of being a Kami.
Collapsing onto the ground, one of the trainees groaned loudly. "Finally! Give me Mistress Mars over this. No wonder he's the King." He'd be sore for a week after this, someone was already starting to drag him off the field.
Another woman nodded, only barely keeping to her feet and refusing to debase herself like her peers though she leaned heavily on her Naginata, "The Queen must have an equal partner, so it only makes sense." They could all so hope they would find such a worthy partner for themselves one day.
One of the trainees, a Phoenix native had enough energy to bow to his Kami, "My King, shall you be returning to Earth after this?" It was well known that Ranma liked to pop in regularly to check in on the original colony. The new Venus bound group had been doing just as he asked however, now with several hundred mothers all waiting to give birth. Many sleepless nights were ahead of them, but they would perform their duties splendidly and without fail. The Phoenix would remain strong.
Something Ranma knew and was trying to ignore. It had been his edict to them and thus, his fault, "No. Still some work to do here before popping over to the Moon for an update on the situation with Earth, then I'll be returning to my seat for a short time." While his schedule was busy, it was nothing like Usagi's. He did his best to pick up the slack where he could along with the rest of the Senshi, but he wasn't ashamed to admit that politics were not his thing. He knew how to be personable sure, but being diplomatic was not his forte. That was Usagi's thing and the world was better for it. He'd sooner drop some Phoenix fire on them and let them roast. With a thought as the group caught their breaths and made plans for future training, Ranma was soon standing before Minako and the others. "Need anything else from me? I'm going to make my rounds and check on some of the others if ya don't."
Minako's grin set him on edge, but the leer she threw a flushed Haruka told him where this was going. "Weeeell, I'm sure someone would love some attention. Or maybe a rematch." Laughing up a storm as Haruka set about trying to strangle her, both women went down in a tangle of limbs. Ranma was not going to look. To look was to give Minako a chance. A chance she would weedle and convince him to stay longer. It really had been a while hadn't it?
Something that with a sigh Ranma turned to the most calm of the three, "Rei, please tell me you'll be normal."
Shrugging, Rei looked up to the bright yellow sky above them. Magic or not, Venus's skyline was unique to itself and took some getting used to. The clouds were finally starting to turn pure white though which offered a little bit of normalcy to the scene. "Normal is overrated. But if you're worried that I'm going to jump your bones then you can relax." Bringing her gaze down to wink at him, Rei finally smiled, "Don't you worry. I can hold back until the work is done." Though she wouldn't mind another performance. Usagi had been correct. Ranma was good at what he did. The idea of her, Usagi and Ranma all together again? She certainly wouldn't mind that, not that she'd ever admit that out loud.
Rolling his eyes and having a feeling where Rei's thoughts had gone, Ranma smirked and saluted them all. "Alright then I'll be off. Gotta check in with the Phoenix here and then check in with Hotaru." Seeing the girls nod along and wish him well, Ranma took a step back before fire enveloped him. His magic flared out, taking him from Cythera's coliseum and dropping him within the high mountain ranges overlooking the ocean side city.
The balcony he found himself on was nearly a dozen meters wide and looked over the great plains beyond the city itself. He could just make out the ocean on the other side of Cythera, the city lights glittering as the sun was beginning to dip below the horizon. Like a scattering of multi-colored jewels waiting to be plucked. But, as he turned away and took in several dozen colorful plants vining their way along the railings, he took a step inside the mountainside palace. He didn't want to even have this place built, but the Phoenix had been most insistent. It had grown more so when the Amazon's had gotten involved. Just what he needed. He loved them but boy could they be just as overzealous as the Phoenix.
Crossing his path in a hurry, a young boy carrying linens spied the King and gave him a wide smile. Small cherubic wings flapped with energy as the boy turned and bowed deeply to him, "My King! I shall alert the guards to your presence!" And then he was gone, nearly floating above the polished smooth stone of the floor in his haste to spread the news.
Something Ranma sighed about and wished that he wouldn't. He didn't need a big fuss being made about him being here. He just wanted to check in and see how things were. See if they needed anything and then continue on his rounds. Well not much he could do. He could already feel the energy in the mountain gain an excited edge. Guess he was going to be spending a little more time here than he originally expected. Speaking of, he could already feel Shampoo headed his way. Was it a coincidence that she was here? Probably not. But he wouldn't complain. He really needed to convince everyone to clear their schedules so they could have some time together more often. They hadn't done that in a while.
Continuing down a clean and well light hallway, lights set into the upper corners illuminating the space, Ranma grinned as he stepped out into his throne room. Built much like the one on Earth, with the same long entrance and high windows on each side, the largest difference was the main large window at the rear. It provided an amazing view of the world below them, the vast plains of Venus backed by what would soon be a sprawling forest. Well the view and the massive mural of Ranma bearing Phoenix wings with Usa held in his arms while Usagi and Shampoo sat at his shoulders. Akane was at his feet, hands reaching up as if praying. It was a beautiful piece really, though he tried not to think about it to much.
Breaking his chain of thought, Ranma was nearly blindsided as a dark skinned woman came to his side. Kiima was very rarely on her own these days, and Ranma lifted an eyebrow as she lifted her head and smiled for him. "My King."
"Kiima, I'm surprised you're here, usually you're with Kasumi or Akane." He'd have to go check on them soon as well, make sure they haven't gotten up to any mischief.
Nodding as she walked besides her King ascending his throne, Kiima stepped to his left side and stood relaxed as he took his seat, "I just came back from inspecting the Tendo's home. All is well, though I'm sure Kasumi and Nabiki would appreciate a visit. Akane is actually on her way to the Amazon village, something about practical experience and training."
Ah, so Akane had been serious about resuming her schooling then. That made Ranma happy. With all the chaos and life changes they had all been rather forced to make some radical changes. While Nabiki and Kasumi were very much the city girls, Akane had taken to being much like him and enjoying life on the go. Her spending more and more time with the Amazons made a lot of sense. "I should probably stop by the Amazons anyway. I'll take Shampoo with me." Even as he said it, he could see said purple haired bombshell bounding his way. A bit slower as her pregnancy progressed, but she wasn't a well training martial artist for nothing. "And how are you, Kiima?"
Seeming to think it over, Kiima eventually shrugged. A far cry from the uptight woman of before, time with her King and his family had done well to mellow her out, "I still have not being able to stop the others from calling me your chosen." A hand did fall to her belly, a soft smile on her face as a giggling Shampoo found herself crashing into Ranma's lap. "Though, I suppose they aren't wrong."
Right. Kiima had a little surprise for him as well. "Should I bring Masala and Korma here, you shouldn't be on your own ya know." Ranma snuggled Shampoo in his lap as Kiima relaxed and sat on one of the arms of his chair, leaning into his side.
"I shall be fine my Lord. The entire Palace is dedicated to defending me, though we have no threats here. Venus is the safest place for all of us at the moment." For now. Thankfully a full planet away they had little to worry about from Earth. But tradition still remained for a reason and Kiima did not want things to get sloppy because of the peace. "Rest well, I shall be protected and well cared for." Captain of the guard she may be, it was rather nice to be treated as a Queen. She would have to be careful. She could get used to this.
Another giggle and Shampoo pulled Ranma's attention to her, kissing him lightly and wrapping her arms around his neck as she pulled away. "Airen miss me?"
"Always. How're the Amazon's doin?"
Bright eyes blinking, Shampoo thought about it before shrugging, "Amazon's strong. They adapt and thrive just like we thought. With more room and open plains they have taken up horse riding and cattle ranching. Battle Sister Akane is there now, learning and training alongside them while Grandmother helps her with her studies." While none of them would technically get a formal education, they would instead receive so much more. Something that Shampoo herself shouldn't be skipping out on but she had been coming to Phoenix mountain to check on Kiima. "Now that Shampoo see Kiima well, Shampoo go back to Amazon's and prepare. Meeting on Moon soon yes?"
With a grin as people started to fill the space and the noise levels began to increase, Ranma nodded as Shampoo sighed and shimmied down to stand at his right. "Yeah, we're all going to get together soon. Nothing serious."
"Can't wait."
"I feel the same my Lord. Some time together would be beneficial."
Sitting up straight and agreeing with the women, Ranma focused and felt his power resonate with the people below him. Time to focus and be a King.

Happy and in her element, Ukyo worked her grill as Konatsu served their various customers. Life in Cythera had been chaotic from the very beginning and they had enjoyed every second of it. Now that things had begun to settle as the city continued to expand and grow, Ukyo's restaurant had already risen as one of the most popular places around. She wanted to think it was because she had situated herself between several schools and the hospital, but she did have to admit being known as Ranma's sister helped a lot. Adopted she may be, the play she and Ranma got to put on from time to time was certainly enjoyable.
Rolling her eyes as Ukyo's face twisted with her thoughts, a goofy grin breaking out, Nabiki sighed as she looked through the other woman's ledger as a favor. "You know you could at least save that for later. Your food's gonna burn."
Casually flipping several okonomiyaki over, Ukyo pointed a finger at the middle Tendo sister, "Blasphemy. I would never burn food, especially not Ran-chan's favorite." Several finished products were flipped onto plates before said trays were tossed in the air. With a flair Konatsu nabbed them and carted them off to their tables among loud applause. "So, how's the school life? Kasumi taking care of herself?"
Mulling it over for a moment Nabiki finally shrugged, "I once thought I'd be going to college for business you know? Build an empire for myself. Getting into politics had not been originally part of the plan." Though Nabiki had to admit she did have a mind for it and was finding that following along with Earth's antics was becoming easier and easier by the day. Plus, it wasn't like she couldn't do both. She was still rather creative with numbers when needed. "Give it a year and I'll be joining 'Sagi-chan on her trips to Earth."
"Ranma might not like that."
"Ranma worries to much. Plus with as much security as we'll have it'd take a nuke to actually hurt us." Nabiki wasn't worried. sure she was just a normal human girl but the Senshi could all handle themselves against other normal humans. That she would be added into the mix didn't concern her at all. Plus it wasn't like she wasn't picking up other skills along the way. "Speaking of, have you heard from him today?"
"Hm? Oh yeah, there's a get together coming up. Expect a visit from him today or tomorrow."
"Kasumi's going to love that." Nabiki would as well if she was being honest with herself. She missed the blockhead.
Ukyo rolled her eyes as she thought about the perpetually happy pregnant woman. "Of course she is. How's nursing school going?"
"Accelerated. She's already picked up an internship at the hospital. Silver Millennium technology truly is borderline magic." Something that while originally Nabiki would have wanted to advocate for sharing with Earth, she now knew better. She didn't want to imagine the horrors that would be unleashed if such advanced technology fell into the wrong hands. Having the ability to cure diseases by manipulating your genetics was nice, but the opposite of being able to create full on plagues the same way was a horrible thought. That they all knew there were more than a few countries who would be willing to do so stayed their hands. They wanted to help people, but it would take time. Making a few notes and adjusting Ukyo's own math in her log book, Nabiki finally closed it with a sigh as the door to the busy restaurant opened. "I can't wait for a break. Even just a full weekend would be nice."
Ukyo looked up to see the taller long haired woman walking in. Dressed in an all white nurse's scrub, Kasumi was practically glowing, "Hey there big sis! The usual?"
"Yes please! I only have a few minutes before I must be back." Happy and adjusting to her new life, Kasumi waved to a few other regulars before dropping into the free seat next to Nabiki at the bar. "Akane called, says we're all getting together soon at the Palace. Ranma and Usagi's orders."
Waving a finger in the air, Nabiki smirked, "Sounds like a mini vacation. I'm in." Plus the chance to enjoy regular Saotome chaos would be fun. Normal even.
Giggling as several dishes landed in front of her, Kasumi began to eat quickly but cleanly, "Be careful little sister not to have too much fun."
Nabiki made a show of looking down at Kasumi's belly, "I think you have that part covered."
"Oh, should I forget the last time Ranma-"
"So you know, I just remembered, we should probably check on daddy don't you think?" Flushing, Nabiki just knew Ukyo was grinning at her. She did not need Kasumi blabbing their business all over the place, even if it was sort of an open secret between them all by now. Sue her. She needed stress relief too damnit.
Shrugging and going back to her eating, Kasumi wondered if Ranma was eating properly. She'd have to sit him down, take care of him properly like a good wife. Yes. Get everyone home together again, that was a wonderful idea.

Sighing with great care and finally having a chance to really relax, Usagi was all smiles as she settled into a seat within her quarters aboard the Miriko. It was a grand room almost identical to her room within the Moon Palace. A wide open space with a bed dead center, a large bathing area past a door along the right wall, a walk in closest on the left and the far wall opposite of the entry door was a bank of windows that overlooked the upper levels of the ship. Even now smaller flights of scout ships flew around them, a squad of three crafts launching from the upper deck as the ship prepared to leave the Atlantic sea. Personally she was glad she didn't have to oversee everything that was going on for the moment. Having been advised by Setsuna and Rei to let the military officers who were trained for this do their jobs. Which she didn't mind. Yes they respected her and her opinion highly, but everyone seemed to forget that she was still a high school girl. Well, should be at least. That ship sailed a long while ago thanks to her own decisions with a very hunky martial artist. She still kept up with her studies though. Ami sure wouldn't let her fall behind nor would her mother. She had already broken one promise, the least she could do was stay educated.
All that crossing her mind as she sat at her vanity, feet shin deep in a warm salt bath as she pulled her hair free and began to comb through it, she was looking forward to being back in the palace. She had carefully prepared everyone to have free schedules over the next few days. Which meant everyone should be able to relax and enjoy some free time. She missed their study groups, their hangouts talking about the latest trends and what manga was hot or not. Well, that was more her and Rei, but having everyone together. Sharing Makoto's snacks and tussling over who got to hang off of Ranma. The family all together. That was something she missed. Soon enough she would have an ambassadorial staff together, and she could kick more of this work to someone else more qualified. Or at the least someone who made the job their entire life.
Because if she had to sit through one more diatribe from the President of the US about how he'd love to see how the Crystal Empire would stand against the US military if they ever decided to show hostility, well she would probably personally nuke the Atlantic fleet herself.
"Oh? Someone's feeling very murdery at the moment." Setsuna's voice called out, but Usagi had already felt her walk into the room. No longer able to sneak up on the Moon Queen but Usagi appreciated this little play they had. It was normal and familiar. Something she had gotten used to. "Should I warn Ranma?"
"I'm stuck between needing a rub down and wanting to punish him forever for doing this to me. But then I remember that this was my fault. And I want this. Really really want this." Hands coming down to caress her belly, Usagi smiled gently and imagined the tall black haired boy that she had met during the Unruly Children Incident. "He's going to be every bit his father and myself. A good and healthy mix, at least if I have any say in the matter." Setsuna was always the first to caution her and today was no different.
"Remember, the time stream is only a glimpse. What happened then was only a possibility. There is no guarantee that those children will become our reality. Only that they did occur based on ours."
"I know I know. You don't have to remind me." Usagi smiled and turned to the older woman, "Besides, Aren't you a little excited yourself?" Usagi eyed the slight bulge that Setsuna sported, a month behind her, but amazing all the same.
"I am, but I still have a duty to uphold. Protecting you at all cost is my creed." Setsuna's smile did soften a bit as she considered the life growing within her. "I will admit to being excited. I never expected this for myself."
Smirking and turning fully to her friend and advisor as the ship around them began to vibrate, Usagi nodded firmly once, "Uh huh. That why you keep sneaking off with my Husband when you think I'm not looking?"
"I have no idea what you mean my Lady."
"Uh huh. I'm thinking about a bath night, day after tomorrow, you'll be there right?"
"Of course my Lady."
"Thought so." Both woman watched each other for a moment, before breaking out into companionable laughter. One that Setsuna would admit that she sorely missed. But Usagi was the first to relax back with a sigh, "Ooooh it'll be good to be back home. I love Earth. It's where I grew up and I love it. But now it feels like every time we come back we can't relax even for a moment. It sucks."
Coming forward from the doorway and taking up a spot behind her Queen, Setsuna set about taking a comb from the other woman and brushing her hair, enjoying Usagi's happy moan, "I see you've been busy. It is no coincidence that we're all free of work for the next five days is it?"
"I shouldn't be surprised you noticed."
"It is my duty."
"Uh huh, can ya tell me what future I can usher in where everyone on Earth doesn't pester me about questions I've already answered a dozen times." Usagi knew that wasn't a fair question to put forth and even now could see Setsuna's mood shift a bit in the mirror. "Sorry. I shouldn't air my frustrations on you."
Shaking her head with a smile, Setsuna felt the exact opposite. "I'm happy you can confide in me. Even if you only talk to myself and Ranma, you should not take all of the burdens unto yourself. We need this time as a family coming up. All of the Senshi do." Pulling Usagi's hair free of her usual bunny-tails, Setsuna noted that it had gotten much longer, now a sizeable length on the floor. "Have you given any consideration to the information from that Tokimi woman? With the Miriko complete, we could send a team of dignitaries to Jurai, establish clear relations with them before things turn for the worse." They could actually be pro-active for once. Not wait around for things to turn sour.
Right. Another conversation she wished she could forget. Not exactly an old enemy looking for a restart of old conflicts, but certainly another empire to keep an eye on. Them, and this pseudo Prince Tenchi. Someone who if Tokimi was to be believed, had nearly destroyed an Empire all on his own. Sighing and relaxing fully back into her chair, she looked out her window through the mirror as her ship began to lift off. "We don't know her, so it isn't like we can fully trust her without having some sort of proof. I'm taking it the same as some random person coming forward and telling me they have information about a plot to kill me." Shrugging and wishing she wasn't so lax with it, but it had become a part of her new reality. "I know people want to kill me, but I need facts."
Happy that Usagi had been paying attention to her lectures, Setsuna made a mental note to update Ranma. "Well, sending out a team would allow us to start ascertaining the truth behind her statements. Better to bring the enemy close rather than leaving them alone. You know our luck and surprises."
"Right. Cause we've already figured out that surprising me is a bad idea." They wouldn't be in this mess if she handled surprises better. Who could blame her, she was hormonal and thought some idiot from the future wanted to take everything away from her. "Okay okay. I'll get with Ami and we'll work out a team to send Jurai's way. Anything I should be concerned with?"
"Only to stand firm and don't allow them to control the conversation or terms. The previous King we had contact with was an arrogant sort, and I have a sneaking suspicion it is only worse now. Worst case scenario, sic Ranma on them." Setsuna noted the sky beginning to darken, they were already breaking through the atmosphere. The escort fighters were like glittering jewels against the dark background of space. Their designs making them look like metallic dragon flies, only armed to the teeth and piloted by some of their absolute best.
"You just want to see Ranma flex and be all powerful." A knowing smirk graced Usagi's face.
"I would never my Queen."
"Suit yourself, cause that's what I'm looking forward to." Smirk turning into a leer, Usagi had to remember that this was why she was pregnant in the first place. A hot husband with a big heart and a good moral center. Didn't hurt that he was powerful as all get out and the sex was really, really good. "I can't wait for a foot rub in the bath, maybe I can convince the worry wort to pay special attention to me later. He's so nervous about the baby and no amount of convincing seems to change his mind on fun times."
"You are nearing the middle of your pregnancy."
"Booo, don't join his mindset, you know better."
"Do I? This is my first as well my Queen." Smiling as she started to braid Usagi's hair together so it would be more manageable for the evening, Setsuna did have to acknowledge that Ranma going monk status was not expected. They loved him, but he worried to much. "Maybe pull the magical Queen card, that always works."
Feeling something brush against her senses, Usagi turned slowly to look out of her large windows, "That'd be nice, until he pulls the Phoenix Kami card. Maybe I should just ascend to Goddess status and play it back on him." A frown building on her face, Usagi puzzled out what she was feeling. "Has Ranma taken you to the Kami Realm yet?"
"Once before yes, I haven't convinced him to take me again though." Setsuna did have to admit that that might have to do with how she felt after such a trip. She was pretty sure that was how she ended up pregnant. She noticed Usagi's concerned stare, "Something on your mind Usagi?"
"Just. I don't know. Something's bothering me is all. Like something's itching at my senses." It wasn't a concrete feeling but Usagi could feel something. A brush against her mind like a long lost memory. The harder she tried to focus on it, the less she seemed to be able to hold onto it.
One hand holding her Queen's hair, her other came up to her ear, "Pluto here to Captain Ohura, anything up on scanners? Reports from the escort Squadrons?"
'No Ma'am, all quiet here. Should we be expecting?' The woman's voice on the other end was quick and professional, and Setsuna mentally thanked her for it.
"The Queen feels something, tighten patrols."
'Yes Ma'am. Shall I also alert Moon Patrol?'
Setsuna considered it as she finished with her minor task, completing Usagi's braid and stepping away. "Yes. We're above Earth's sphere of influence correct? It's all hands on deck."
'Understood, accelerating to flank speed and returning directly to the Palace.'
Usagi wanted to roll her eyes. "This seems a little excessive."
"You are the Queen and are pregnant with your heir. If the construction of the Ares was complete we would probably have you under escort by warship already." The flagship for Mars was without a doubt one of the stronger ships the Kingdom could bring to bear, short of possibly the Queen's Regalia itself. "Should we alert Ranma?"
"No. We don't even know if there's something out there. For all we know I'm just off because of my magic." Pregnancy had thrown her off somewhat. She had a feeling she could barely pull off a Healing Escalation at this point, never mind some of her stronger and more destructive abilities. She loved her soon to be born child, but the strings attached were somewhat taxing. All that said, as her gaze was still locked on something out among the stars, Usagi couldn't shake the feeling that something was there. Not from her normal perception, but something deeper. Something both new and old. Watching her.
Setsuna broke her from her thoughts, giving the younger woman a reassuring smile as the ship accelerated away from Earth towards the Moon. "Everything will be alright, why don't you get some rest. I'll head to the bridge and check in with the Captain. I'll send Hotaru along to keep you company."
"Thanks. I'll take a breather. Maybe put on the tv and catch up on my anime." Her passion from her normal life still survived, even if she didn't have as much time for it. Usagi would put whatever was bothering her out of her mind for now.
Setsuna nodded and turned away, already striding away into the hallway as the door opened sideways for her, "Sounds like a wonderful idea. We should be at the palace within a few minutes anyway. Then we can all take a breather."
"Un. Remember, bath night, and maybe even something special later today. Maybe I'm antsy." Usagi didn't need to turn back to know Setsuna was blushing.
"Maybe I'll be around." Setsuna paused for only a moment before smiling and nodding. Usagi was many things, generous high on the list. Continuing on her way, she was already reaching a finger up to tag her radio again. "Pluto to Saturn, change out please."
"On my way." Hotaru sounded like she might have been eating, but Setsuna knew she would have dropped everything immediately and was on her way to Usagi. Task done, she continued on her route to the bridge. If Usagi felt like something was there, Setsuna was inclined to believe her. Sure her overall power had declined somewhat, but her perception had skyrocketed. Something the older Senshi would not ignore.

Appearing in the courtyard of the Moon Palace in a flash of fire, Ranma gave a huge sigh of relief. It wasn't like he had much to handle when it came to the Phoenix people on Venus, but once Shampoo had gotten involved things changed quickly. He loved her dearly and enjoyed just how alive and animated she was, but she simply refused to tone it down. She was going to end up having the most children out of everyone at this rate. At the least he was able to promise that he would slow down starting the next few days, and get a promise from the young woman to come to the palace with the others during their break time. Sure Usagi thought she was slick, but they all had noticed right away when their schedules emptied out. A great ruler indeed, always so thoughtful.
Heels clicking on the stone walkway drawing his attention, Ranma was treated to a smirking Michiru and a happy looking Makoto. Makoto was first to leap forward to wrap her arms around his neck. It was easy enough to catch her and swing her around once, "Well you're all in a good mood." It was rare to see them off of the Ogino, the hospital station usually in orbit around Jupiter as refueling the massive ship for transport was slow going. Refueling stations were under construction on Neptune and Uranus, but they would take time. It was good to see them here, though it meant Ariel, the first survivor to awaken on the station was most likely in charge due to Makoto's absence. He'd say a prayer for the easy to fluster woman later.
Michiru shrugged and flipped her hair once, "Aren't you? The entire family is coming together again. Things have been so hectic lately." Much like Haruka, Michiru didn't have much to worry about just yet in terms of duties. Sure a long range outpost was under construction around her planet, but until then she only had to keep up with patrols beyond the asteroid belt. With no real threats and not being at war, she got to float around and help out where needed. Which most of the time saw her with Makoto at her hospital station. Haruka didn't mind much, though Michiru could certainly have less of the not so subtle implications for a threesome. "Usagi almost back?"
Ranma nodded, mentally checking on Usagi's progress once more, "Yeah. On her way from Earth now. Moving pretty quick to." They all turned their eyes upward, seeing the blue and green ball that was Earth above them. All the light made it hard to pick out the Miriko, but he could feel it approaching quickly. "Honestly, might be a little fast." He didn't feel any distress through their link. Some idle curiosity maybe, but nothing to get worked up over.
Makoto finally let him go, standing and shrugging her own shoulders, "It's Usagi, she's probably excited to skip out on duties for a day or two and have family time." It had been easy enough for all of them to start referring to each other as sisters. They were close enough as it was, and thanks to a certain hunk, all their kids or future kids would be related. "So. About tomorrow…"
"I'm pretty sure ya'll are going to have a free for all. Rei and Haruka were already vying for spots." Ranma was beyond the point of fighting it anymore. Nope. So long as he got to eat and relax, the girls could have their way within reason.
Striking a pose, Makoto winked at him as Michiru's gaze turned to the stars, "I think I can offer something special." It might burn a favor with Mina-chan. But it'd be worth it.
Ranma noted Michiru was distracted as they all started walking towards the Palace proper, thankfully being given a wide berth of space by the staff. "You okay there Michiru?"
"Something is…I don't know. Off." This was a new feeling for her. Much like the others Michiru's control of her powers had grown exponentially with her training with Ranma. As such her connection with her mirror had never been stronger and allowed for her senses to pick up on things she normally never would have before. Problem was, it was hard to identify some of these new sensations. "Not a bad off, but…off."
Blinking and sharing a look with Makoto, Ranma spread out his senses. One did not question the Mistress of the Mirror. It took a little searching, but he had to admit that she was right. That was new. "Huh."
"Huh? Is this a fun huh, or a prepare for battle huh?" Makoto raised a fist, lightning dancing along her knuckles as she considered what to do. Michiru felt something and Ranma confirmed it? Nope. She didn't like it.
"Unclear. It feels like another Goddess. But I don't know why another would be coming this way. I haven't been training with those powers as much as I'd like." Being a full Kami was still new to Ranma and life had taken priority over training and gaining power. Now he was beginning to regret that somewhat. He'd at least have more information to share as they passed through an ethereal garden. Minding the gardeners and Palace staff, the main palace entrance loomed ahead of them. "Who ever it is, they do have some power. But it's muted. Hard to describe. Maybe not a full Goddess." As if sensing his thoughts, whatever it was began making distance. No longer coming directly towards them, it felt like a cautious cat. Staying at the edge of an imaginary fence line, laying in wait for something none of them knew. Not a bad feeling, but one to be cautious of. "I might take a look." Well, maybe he would wait for Usagi to get back, make sure she was okay first.
Michiru looked down at the ground, thumb coming up to chew on her nail as she worried over the situation. "But why would another Goddess be coming for us. I thought that Tokimi woman said she would stay out of things."
Shrugging and linking her hands behind her head, Makoto snorted, "Not like people haven't lied to us before."
"She also did say she had sisters."
Eyes suddenly very focused, Ranma paused mid stride to turn fully back the way they came, all his attention on something among the sea of stars above them. "It's gone." He couldn't tell if it was hostile or not. The feeling he was getting wasn't like that. More unsure. Worried. Scared? This Kami stuff took some getting used to. "I guess that's the end of that. Maybe whatever it was felt us watching it in return?" Ranma didn't like it but at least there was little to worry about now. They were safe and that was what mattered. "Let's hit the palace and wait for Usagi to arrive. I'm sure Setsuna might have a thing or two to say."
Feeling the tension bleed away from the pair with her, Makoto relaxed as well. "Oh I'm sure Setsuna will have a lot more than a thing or two to get out of her system."
Michiru shook her head and walked on Ranma's other side, "You're beginning to turn into Minako."
Shuddering at the idea, Makoto shook her head, "If I ever start to butcher common sayings like she does, smack me."
"Will do."
Ranma rolled his eyes as they crossed the threshold for the Palace itself, walking inside between larger than life columns and the general din of people milling about in the entrance hall. While most of the conversations were hushed and whispered, the sheer collection of people made it loud all on its own. Which Ranma didn't care about as they had a clear path to the entrance to the throne. "Think things went well on Earth?"
Praying that they had, it was Michiru who remained optimistic, "I sure hope so. We don't need more troubles on our doorstep." They had more than just Earth to worry over. That other empire, Jurai, while they hadn't come calling yet Setsuna had advised them all that said empire was a real and potential threat. One that should be higher on their priority list than Earth.
Nodding to the pair of heavily armored guards on each side of the massive double doors, closed while the Queen was away, Ranma took in the polished silver and chrome of their armor with a critical eye. Yet he refused to comment on it as the doors opened before them to allow entrance, "Better to deal with the people we can than to split our attention. Earth is here now, best to make our relationship clear early before Jurai comes a calling."
The space they found themselves in was the very center of the Palace. High above them the glass dome showed a clear view of the stars and Earth high above, while the space was completely empty of staff or personnel. No one allowed inside without the Queen or the King present. Ranma smirked as the doors closed behind them and left them alone to walk towards Usagi's throne. "As eery as this should be, Usagi's magic makes it feel so calming in here."
"Like coming home." Makoto noted before they all could feel several people teleporting in with them. Rolling her eyes, she turned to her friends, the group from Venus. "Just couldn't wait, could you?"
Minako was already skipping over as Haruka beelined to Michiru, "Why should we? Our duties are done for the day and Usagi is almost here, why not gather all of us together?" Even as she said that the Miriko swept overhead, vibrations running through the palace and drawing all of their attention. A flight of fighters peeled off, most likely to land within the underground hangar bays now that the Queen's ambassador ship was home. "See, so we should be here anyway."
Watching Minako nearly tackle Makoto, Ranma eyed them all before coming up one short, "Has anyone dragged Ami away from her ship lately?" Seeing all eyes turn to him, Ranma's mood slipped and he gave them a disgruntled look, "Really?"
"You're the best at it." Rei had a hand on her hip as the others all nodded along with knowing looks. The bookworm was always on the hunt for new knowledge and didn't shy away from hard work. It took a literal act of Kami to get her to actually relax. Granted with the terraforming of Venus complete and now potentially the same work going to be done to Mars, Ami would always find something new to occupy her time. "Be a dear and grab her? Pretty sure she's in the labs in the basement."
Wanting to grumble but refusing to, Ranma sighed but nodded. These were the saviors of the world? He had to remind himself of that sometimes. "We'll be back in a minute." He was already reaching out with his magic to find the girl.
Wanting to say something crude, Haruka is preempted by an elbow to the gut from Michiru. "Oh I don't even say anything that time."
"You were going to, we both know it." They all watched Ranma flash away in a ball of fire before the Senshi all exchanged some looks.
Minako was first to raise a hand, "Now! Should we set up a cookie schedule for the next week so we don't burn ourselves out?"
Makoto sighed as her friend let her go as they all took seats along the steps of Usagi's throne, "You're so broken."
Not refuting the accusation at all, Minako winked at her friends as they got comfortable, "We know who broke me, so it's okay." She wouldn't mind a few repeats either. She wanted her cute twins dangit!

Blinking and taking in the new space he found himself in with a sigh, Ranma was at least happy that Ami learned to put her lights on a timer. The last few times he had to come and drag her out it had been nearly pitch black in here. The only light available had been her own computer screen that she was glued to. Even now as he walked between rows of questionable equipment and towards her lone desk, Ranma hadn't even registered a change in her attention. Either she knew he was here and wasn't worried, or she hadn't even felt him show up.
"The rest of the group is together then? Come to whisk me away?" Voice playful, Ami leaned back with a sigh and leaned back to watch Ranma walk up to her. "What a hero."
Refusing to roll his eyes but happy the other woman was in a good mood, Ranma paused just behind her to look at the screen with her. "Find something interesting out there?" Not an expert on anything to do with space or technology, Ranma could at least recognize the model of their solar system with several glowing dots marking points of interest in their kingdom.
Immediately nodding, Ami folded her hands in her lap, "Safe to assume you felt something brush against your senses earlier?" Seeing Ranma nod, Ami continued, "There was a ship. Originally it was on course to intercept Usagi, but then suddenly it just dropped off my scanners. I have the palace staff keeping an eye out."
Well at least that answered one of his questions. There was something out there and it was looking for Usagi. "Maybe whoever it was called off their plan when Usagi found them out first?" Ranma was looking for the silver lining here. There was a possible threat out there to his family. The more he focused on that, the more he wanted to hunt whatever it was down. It took a few deep breaths to erase that developing thought from his mind.
"Maybe, magic is at work here so it isn't impossible." Ami was already slipping back into her work mode, mind trying to work through the problem while Ranma and everyone else was already proving they could sense something was wrong. Especially if Usagi could sense it. That meant this was well above the normal, bordering on possible another dark entity after them. It had been a while now since they had one of those events. How long had it been actually actually? Mistress Nine maybe?
Deciding that this wasn't the time to let the overworked young woman to fall back into her thoughts, Ranma spun her around to smirk at her surprised face, "Yo, I'm here to bring you back. We can worry about this later, as a group. A family."
Family. Right. They were more than a team now. They were well and truly a family unit, one that could depend on and support one another. "Right. Sorry. Let's go. It's been a few days since I've been outside." Did she smell? She hoped she didn't smell. Maybe she should stop by her room first. A shower sounded delightful.
Ranma was already molding his magic to bring them back to the others, "We really need to get you out more." Ami latched onto his arm with an odd shine in her eyes, "Huh?" Why was her magic molding along with his?
"I have a new plan." Hijacking Ranma's magic, Ami blinked and where once they were inside the lab in the underground Palace, now they were in a very comfortable room in the upper levels. Modeled in blues and grey with the sigil for Mercury above the doorframe, Ami smirked and giggled as the Phoenix King sighed and felt rightly tricked.
"You shouldn't even be able to do that."
"I'm the smart one." Already stripping and heading for her bathroom, Ami smiled as her bra went flying as she disappeared through the doorway.
Wanting to refute that but knowing he couldn't, it really shouldn't have surprised him that Ami figured out how to hijack his magic on her own. Usagi could do it to but no one else had figured out such a trick. He'd have to work on that. Both to catch the others up and to close that little vulnerability of his. "Well I'll let the others know you're on your way."
Leaning out with nothing but a smile, Ami crooked a finger his way as steam began to waft from her running shower, "Are you really going to pass up a quickie before heading down?"
"Usagi should never have given you all a green light."
"And yet she did. So. How bout it stud-muffin?"
Well, on one hand there was a very attractive young woman wet and literally naked offering him a wonderful time. On the other was a room full of women who may very well devolve into much the same but in a more chaotic and possibly not so enjoyable time. Bonus, whether it was this instant or in ten minutes, they would still be there. My. He really had grown some these last few months hadn't he? "Ask and you shall receive."
Giggling and reaching out to grab his hand, Ami smirked as his shirt was already off, "No complaints about the book worm snagging you away?" Squeaking as strong arms circled her, Ami braced herself against Ranma's well formed chest.
"You're no less beautiful and amazing than any of the others. Don't sell yourself short Ami." Maybe Ranma should work on this one's self confidence. Just another duty for the King.

Tenchi wasn't sure how he should feel right now, stepping back into his living room to observe his little pulled together family. Ryoko and Ayeka were on the couch, arguing over who got to control the remote and thus the programming for the day. Not like he was concerned about what they would eventually end up on, they all had been stuck worrying and wondering about the new Moon Queen the same as everyone else on earth. She was supposed to be meeting with world leaders today, something to be televised for everyone to see. Talks about whether the Queen would join with the world leadership or not.
Behind them and bouncing along in her apron, Sasami had a tray of tea and snacks while Ryo-oki rode along in her hair, "Heya Tenchi! I've got more if you're hungry!"
"Ah, sure Sasami. That'd be great." Watching her place the tray down before retreating to the kitchen, Tenchi eyed his grandfather and father at the kitchen table and walked towards them. "Grandfather, any changes?"
Sighing and shaking his head, Yosho eyed Tenchi quietly, "Nothing has changed today, nor have we received any messages from Jurai." Things had been tense ever sense the Moon Queen had gone public and while Yosho was of the mind that they should not get involved this once, Tenchi and the others seemed to be leaning differently. Even Ryoko was agreeing with Ayeka on this, troubling that. The only one who seemed uncertain was Sasami, though she would listen to her big sister in the end. "I still advise patience and calm Tenchi, you do not want to rush into a situation you know nothing about."
Ayeka leaned up from over the couch, Ryoko finally snagging the remote away from her in a huff, "But Yosho it would do well for us to actually be proactive in this endeavor would it not? We know nothing of this Queen beyond her people used to rule this system long ago. What if she's planning on taking over once again? Humanity doesn't deserve that fate."
Something that was true, but Yosho needed to point out Ayeka's flaw, "While true, there's no indication that this Crystal Empire is planning such. We must give them the benefit of the doubt."
Ryoko waved a had in the air, refusing to look at the old prince who once locked her away, "Unless she's waiting until the last minute to strike. When it'll be too late to stop her. I say we bumrush her and let her know just who's in charge here." Ryoko still had no respect for royal types, the good for nothings always felt like the owned whatever they set their eyes on. The world was handed to them and it was never enough, while she had to continually fight for everything she had. It was exhausting.
"Good thing we don't allow you to be in charge of planning, we'd be dead in a week." Ayeka's voice was laced with derision, something Ryoko at least partially picked up on as the rest of the family sighed, Mihoshi and Kiyone were already diving for cover, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire today.
"What was that princess?" One hand coming up and vibrating with orange power, Ryoko was already grinning. "Maybe you need a reminder of who is in charge around here."
"Not really, Lord Tenchi has final say after all. You're only good for blowing things up, or have you forgotten that in that simple little mind of yours."
"You're just asking for a thrashing prissy pants."
"It would take a hundred of you to do so."
"Wanna bet!?"
"I'm always willing to put you down monster woman!"
Sighing as the screaming began, Tenchi tried his best to ignore the two women launching themselves outside to roll about in the backyard. At least that was better than them destroying the house all of the time. Sasami's last lecture may just have stuck. His attention instead was on the tv where the news was showing a picture of the Moon Queen. A younger blonde woman with a bright smile and the charming demeanor. Already meeting with world leaders, Tenchi wasn't one hundred percent sure what to feel. Only thing he was sure of, he was tired of having craziness hit him first. Kagato, ending up on the run from the Galaxy Police. Being number one on the King of Jurai's shit list, and then finding out he was like his great grandfather? Great Uncle? Royal family bloodlines got confusing. He hoped his cousin was doing better than him.
"Little Washu!" Calling out and knowing she couldn't be far, Tenchi headed for her closet under the stairs. If there was anyone smart enough who could come up with a plan, it was the smartest scientist in the galaxy herself. She would know what to do.
Watching his grandson leave, Yosho considered his own thoughts on the matter. He wanted to take a step back this time, stay out of the drama. Tenchi and the others needed to learn some lessons on their own. He just hoped they didn't learn the wrong ones this time.

We're back baby! Took a while to get going. Wanted to get some other projects out of the way, lost some motivation and got hit with writers block, but I did make a promise to some of ya that we would for sure be getting a part two. Ranma and the girls are well and truly established, but it's time to head off a conflict with a old nemesis. Will Jurai and the new Crystal Empire find some common ground in order to co-exist? Or will the usual chaos of Ranma's and Tenchi's lives twist things into a conflict neither can keep from spiraling out of control. Who knows.
