Mountain Glenn, Sanus
Night fell and a campfire was made. Due to Mountain Glenn's Grimm infestation, rotating shifts throughout the night would be necessitated for the four girls' first field mission.
While their silver-eyed leader kept watch outside, her three teammates were unable to fall asleep. Each of whom pondering their respective motives for becoming huntresses after having been questioned during the day by their quick worded professor whom Weiss suspected owned 25% of Schnee Dust Roast's stock.
While listening to her white haired friend's goals, Blake Belladonna could not help but reminisce about everyone she knew who had been victimized by the SDC and humanity's mistreatment of her people.
Next came Blake's turn, "All my life, I've fought for what i thought was right."
"I had a partner named Adam," the faunus continued, "my...brother."
The revelation caught the W and Y of their team by surprise.
"Wait," Yang resounded, "wait, wait, wait, wait!...You have a sibling?"
The blonde girl's apparent shock confused Blake.
"Yes. Is that so strange?"
Weiss expressed her astonishment as well.
"Honestly, you having any siblings at all is somehow more surprising than learning you were part of the White Fang."
"Yeah. Truth be told, you always gave me only child vibes," Yang remarked.
Blake decided to take that as a compliment somehow. She knew she was quite the aloof person.
"...That might be due to him being my adoptive brother."
"Okay, now THAT I can see," replied Yang. "You said partner...Does that mean you were in the White Fang with your brother?" Yang said tentatively.
Weiss and Yang heard Blake sigh. "Yes. We were...I thought Adam fought for the same world that we both dreamt of. Both yearned for. Turns out, it wasn't such a great future he had in mind for everyone..."
The implication left everyone even more somber. That Blake had realized part of the White Fang's deterioration from someone who sounded once so dear to her.
"I joined Beacon because huntsmen and huntresses are considered the protectors of everything we know and love," the cat eared girl spoke in an insecure tone.
"But after graduating, I don't know what to do. How do I possible make up for causing so much hate in the world?!"
Yang turned over to assure her distressed partner. "I'm sure you'll figure it out. You're not one to back down from a challenge."
"But I am! I do it all the time!" Blake cried out, "When you found out I was a Faunus, I didn't know what to do so I ran! When I realized my own brother had become a monster, I ran!"
"Even my semblance! I was born with the ability to leave behind a shadow of myself. An empty copy that takes the hit while I run away..."
A silence followed by Blake's outburst, punctuated by the crackling of the fire they were all situated around.
Yang spoke up, "At least you two have something that drives you..."
