Usagi yawned, as she walked into the building of Juban Middle School. Ugh mornings always come too early in the day! Doesn't matter if it's on the Moon or on Earth. Mornings just came too soon. At least mornings on the Moon there is no bright blinding light of the sun shining in your eyes through the translucent curtains that hang in front of your bedroom window.

Usagi had a habit of comparing everything from her previous life to the events in this one. She had gotten her memories back when she was only four years old and at the time she could barely make sense of any of it. But now, ten years later, she understood it very well. She had been killed in her previous life when the Golden Kingdom laid siege on the Moon and her mother the Queen, had used the Silver Crystal to reincarnate her in a time of peace. Usagi was grateful for that. She had been given a second chance.

Though sometimes she could not help but feel sad there were people she loved that she would never see again. Specifically there were two people she had longed to see again but she knew she never would.

Usagi sighed as she sat down at her desk, it was too early in the morning for such depressing thoughts. Anyway for some reason she had a feeling that today would be a long day.

_

Usagi stared down at her test score, her heart racing, she was stiff as she walked the path to go home. She failed her test utterly and completely. Only managed to get 30 points on the test. Her mother was going to kill her…well not literally. Actually! She should count herself lucky because if her original mother saw this it would be so much worse than anything her current mother would do! She'd lock her in her room for a millennia! And she wasn't even exaggerating there it would quite literally be a millennia! A score like this for the sole heir of an interplanetary empire would be completely unacceptable!

Which is why Usagi was glad that she was no longer the heir to an interplanetary empire. Now she was just a normal teenage girl! That still didn't mean she was looking forward to showing this grade to her mother though. It wasn't like Usagi didn't pay attention, it was just learning anything that was so hard for her! Everything always got all mixed up in her brain! She couldn't understand why this never was a problem in her previous life.

Actually in her previous life she was well versed in many things like the writing systems of all the other planets of the solar system. Sure, all the planets that were part of the Silver Millennium shared a language with them but they also had their own individual writing systems and languages as well!

.

.

.

.

Not that any of that information would be of any use now. Because as far as humans were concerned the other planets of the solar system were inhabited and had always been.

Usagi sighed, oh well. She needed to get home the sooner she showed her mother the grade the sooner it'd be over with.

Why couldn't she get good grades?

_

Usagi sighed, of course her mom had sent her to her room and told her to go study. It was frustrating, really studying never helped! Usagi stared at her notes in front of her, and it slowly dawned on her that her writing was nearly illegible. Usagi squinted her eyes as if that would help her understand what she wrote any better.

"I have been searching for you, Usagi." A voice came, and Usagi froze.

She glanced at her door only to see that it was still very much closed.

"Look by the window" The voice spoke again, its owner obviously noticing Usagi's confused glance at her door.

Slowly Usagi looked at the window, and she blinked once, and then again. There was a black cat sitting on the windowsill, but it wasn't just any cat. This cat was Luna, someone who had been a friend and companion in her previous life when she was Princess Serenity. Luna had also been the voice of reason when it came to the antics she used to get into. Luna had also been an advisor to her mother, the Queen.

Tears started forming in Usagi's eyes, and she stood up and walked closer to the bed, still staring at Luna. She stared for a minute more before she planted into her bed.

"I'm dreaming. Goodnight." Usagi spoke, her voice muffled by the blankets.

Yes, this must be a dream, a figment of her imagination that her mind made up while she was asleep. She must have fallen asleep at her desk, because really there was no way Luna could be in front of her now. The Moon Kingdom had fallen thousands of years ago, the Luna she knew should be long since dead. It was just a dream, when she opened her eyes Luna would be gone. The memory of her friend would no longer be haunting her.

Usagi heard a sigh, and heard the (fake) Luna speak again,

"Fine I have just the thing to wake you up. Here I have a present for you, Usagi."

Usagi had to admit she was curious as to what a present from Luna could be so slowly she looked up, and saw a golden brooch with different colored gems on sides floating and glowing before her. Slowly she held out her hands, and watched as the brooch floated down to her hands.

Usagi held the brooch and stared at it, her eyes full of wonder. Truly it was a pretty brooch, and there was something about it. Holding it made her feel warm almost as if it were magic. Usagi turned and looked in the mirror and clipped the brooch onto the bow on her school uniform.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw Luna hop on the desk, and look at her with a serious expression on the cat's face.

"Recently, there have been strange incidents all around Tokyo. You must investigate and put a stop to these incidents. Not only that but you must find and protect our Princess. You have been chosen as Senshi, Usagi!"

Usagi froze, and her brain processed what Luna just said, but it didn't make sense because she was the Princess of the Moon Kingdom! And a Senshi? Nonononononono, she had never been a Senshi! Usagi was really thankful that this was all a dream, and she would wake up sooner or later. No way she could be a Senshi!

It was then the brooch started to glow once more, a blinding golden light. Eh? What was happening now?!

"Usagi! Raise your hand in the air and shout out! Moon Prism Power Make Up!"

Usagi started at Luna for a moment, before taking a deep breath, and raised her hand in the air shouting,

"Moon Prism Power Make Up!"

A bright blinding flash filled Usagi's vision and then it was gone. Usagi slowly looked at her hands, and saw white. She was wearing gloves? She looked down at herself and realized she was wearing the uniform of the Senshi! She looked in the mirror once more and noticed the pure white goggles adorning her face, and red crystals on her hair buns.

It was then that the crystals started glowing and Usagi heard a noise, a scream?

"Help! Somebody please help me!"

That voice…was Naru's? Suddenly before her eyes she saw a ragged old figure with grotesque gray skin, her hand was somebody's neck and Usagi recognized that person! That was Naru! Usagi instinctively reached up, and pulled the white goggles off her face, and the image faded and she could longer see it.

This was a really strange dream, but even if it was a dream Naru was in danger! She couldn't just abandon her!

"Luna! I have no clue what's happening but Naru is in danger! We have to save her!"

_

Usagi burst through the doors of the jewelry store Naru's family owned. There right in front of her was that…that…uh…thing! That creature was still holding Naru by the neck, and it looked like her friend couldn't breathe! She had to do something! Usagi took a deep breath before shouting,

"Get your grubby hands off Naru! You disgusting old hag!"

The creature swiftly turned, dropping Naru on the ground, a disturbing type of smile on her face.

"Who are you supposed to be?"

She Usagi froze, and realized she had no idea what to call herself. She faltered until she heard Luna meow, looking towards the moon. Usagi found herself filled with inexplicable courage.

"I am the Pretty Senshi of Love and Justice Sailor Moon!"

The creature…uh thing…whatever the being before her was laughed raising her arm up in the air,

"Sailor Moon? I've never heard of such a person! Now! Those who have offered their energy to our Great Ruler come and destroy this girl!"

Usagi stared at the thing…woman? What was she doing? Suddenly Luna's voice came,

"Usagi! Behind you!"

Usagi turned and saw a woman with her eyes glowing red behind her with an empty bottle of alcohol raised up in the air. Uh oh. Was she going to try to hit Usagi with that? Quickly Usagi jumped out of the way, but slipped and fell, her knee scraping against the floor.

Usagi looked at her knee, it stung, and it was bleeding yet she was still here. So…she wasn't dreaming after all. The realization that she wasn't dreaming came crashing down on her like a pile of bricks, and tears forming in her eyes threatening to fall.

"You mean this wasn't a dream?!" Usagi cried tears now spilling down her face. Suddenly a loud ringing sound was heard and the monster put her hands on her ears, but Usagi didn't notice.

"Ugh- Super Sonic Waves!?"

Usagi continued to cry, and she wasn't sure why until a voice cut through the noise, and she froze.

"Stop crying Sailor Moon! Now's your chance."

Usagi's tears stopped, and shivers went down her spine. She knew that voice…that voice belonged to…him. Usagi looked around, but saw nobody. She breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe it was just her imagination?

It was then that Luna jumped atop her head and spoke,

"Now! Usagi! Shout out Moon Tiara Boomerang!"

Almost as if activated by Luna's words, Usagi's tiara glowed, and appeared in front of her hand hovering and spinning.

"Moon Tiara Boomerang!" Usagi shouted and she threw the tiara. Only for it to zip past the creature. Usagi stopped and tilted her head to the side…she didn't think it was supposed to work like that.

Usagi was about to ask Luna what to do, but before she could the Tiara zipped back around and right through the creature in front of her. Usagi watched as the creature turned to dust?

Usagi then looked at Luna,

"Is that how it's supposed to happen?"

Luna gave her this almost deadpanned expression but before she could speak a voice came,

"Well I didn't find the Legendary Silver Crystal but I did find something interesting."

There it was again that was his voice, Usagi's head quickly snapped up. There standing on the windowsill was a dark haired man in a tuxedo and a mask. No…that was…it couldn't not be him. Usagi watched as the man jumped out the window, and almost immediately she ran out of the store chasing after him.

"My name is Tuxedo Mask and I'll remember you Sailor Moon." With those words the man disappeared into the night, leaving Usagi standing there in the cold horror etched onto her face.

Without a doubt that had to be Endymion….

"Usagi! Good job on winning!" Luna's voice snapped Usagi out of her trace, and Usagi looked at the cat.

"But if you want to be able to protect our Princess. You're going to have to do better."

Usagi then remembered that for some reason Luna did not recognize her as Princess Serenity. Which was weird. So slowly Usagi kneeled down and looked at Luna,

"Hey Luna…about that Princess you mentioned…" Usagi paused, before starting to speak again slowly.

"That's me. I'm the Princess…I have all her memories."

Luna's eyes widened, and her jaw dropped; it looked like her entire world was pulled out from under her.

"What?" Was all Luna managed to say, her voice dry.

Usagi gave Luna a nervous smile,

"Yeah…I would've told you earlier but I kinda thought I was dreaming." Usagi spoke laughing nervously as she did.

Luna looked at Usagi in shock for a few more seconds before turning and quickly speaking,

"Follow me." With that Luna spirited off into the night, leaving Usagi to chase after her.

Usagi didn't really know what she had been dragged into.

_

Minako awoke to a sharp stinging pain on her face, and opened her eyes thinking she'd see Artemis before telling her she'd be late for school.

But she didn't.

Instead she saw a very panicked Luna standing on her bed staring at her and Artemis accusingly.

"You guys…why did neither of you tell me that Sailor Moon was the Princess?!"

Minako's brain screeched to a halt at Luna's words…how…how did Luna know that Sailor Moon was the Princess?

"Luna…how…how…do you know that?" Minako spoke, slowly her brain still frazzled.

"So it is true! I had know idea until Sailor Moon told me…because she has her memories from the Silver Millennium!" Luna yelled at Minako and Artemis, and instinctively Minako wanted to tell Luna to quiet down so she didn't wake her parents up.

Minako blinked,

"Oh…I see. So where exactly is Sailor Moon?" Minako asked, standing up from her bed, and reaching on her night stand to grab her transformation pen.

"Outside." Luna answered quickly, and she still glared at Minako and Artemis.

"Minako what are you going to do?" Artemis asked, he looked a little nervous.

Minako sighed, and held her transformation pen in the air, and as quietly as she could she shouted,

"Venus Power Make Up!" In a flash of light she was Venus and she took a deep breath. This wasn't so bad she could just get the brooch back from Sailor Moon, and keep her out of harm's way. This plan wouldn't work as well if she had her memories.

Opening the window, Minako or rather Venus jumped out landing on the ground below easily.

On the ground she was met face to face with Sailor Moon or rather her beloved Princess. Who stared back at her with wide eyes.

"Venus?" Sailor Moon said, and Minako noted that her Princess's voice sounded identical to her voice in her previous life.

Venus dropped to one knee, and bowed her head before her Princess. Her Princess, Sailor Moon, stepped back a bit as if she was alarmed by Minako's actions.

"Princess I humbly apologize for getting you involved in this. If you could please give back the transformation brooch. You can go back to your normal life…where you're safe." Minako said, looking back up at her Princess, and watching as the Princess's hand went up to where the brooch sat on her bow.

It was quiet for a minute as her Princess stared at her, almost as if she were confused. Minako was unsure as to why she would be.

"No." Her Princess finally spoke, and Minako blinked multiple times, processing the words her Princess had just spoken. She had heard that correctly right? Her Princess had just said no right?

"I'm sorry what?"

Her Princess looked at her for a moment, and Minako watched as determination formed in her eyes.

"I said no. You've already dragged me into this, and now you're asking me to pretend like it never happened? Well I won't. You turned me into a Senshi, Venus. So now I'm staying as one."

Minako stared at her Princess, her jaw dropping. This she had nor expected.

"Come now Princess, surely you can reconsider…it's for the best." Minako spoke slowly, her voice conveying her shock and confusion clearly.

Her Princess crossed her arms, and looked at Minako.

"I said no. I'm staying as a Senshi, and anyway you kinda have to listen to me because mother isn't here anymore." Her Princess spoke, her tone of voice firm. It reminded Minako so much of the Queen.

Minako let her head drop again, she knew her Princess was right. If her Princess wanted to stay as a Senshi and ordered her to comply well she really didn't have a choice in the matter.

"Alright, Princess. But you need to go through training, understand?" Minako finally spoke, standing up to look her Princess in the eyes.

Her Princess smiled, and jumped excitedly.

"Yay! I'm Tsukino Usagi! But you can call me Usagi! What's your name?"

Minako felt a smile tug at her lips, seeing that it seems her Princess was still similar to how she was in her past life.

"I'm Aino Minako, it's nice to once again be at your side Princess." Minako spoke, bowing before her Princess, before raising her head again. Minako saw her Princess, Usagi, staring at her weirdly and Minako found herself confused as to why.

"You really don't have to bow you know," Her- Usagi's voice was flat.

Minako sighed,

"I do it's the proper behavior. As you are my Princess, Usagi."

Usagi looked at her and then spoke, a smile on her face.

"But we can be friends too, right?"

Minako's smile grew. Really despite it not being how things were supposed to go. Minako was really happy to be here with her Princess.

_

Sitting in a chair was a blonde woman with short, slightly messy hair that curled up in some places. In her hands was a newspaper, and after a moment she sighed and placed the newspaper on her lap.

"You should read this section of the newspaper, Michiru." The blonde woman spoke, picking up the newspaper and holding it out for the person she was talking to take.

A woman with long green curls of hair that went down to her back, strided over taking the newspaper from the other woman's hands.

"Oh? Is there something interesting there, Haruka?" The woman, Michiru, asked the other woman Haruka before looking down at the newspaper in her hands.

Michiru's eyes widened, and a smile grew on her face as she read the page before placing the newspaper on a nearby table.

"It's our Princess. It seems our beloved has found herself in a position she shouldn't be in. Is what you're talking about Haruka?" Michiru said with a smile as her fingers traced the outline of the face of a blonde headed girl in a blurry image in the newspaper.

"Yeah." Was all Haruka said in reply to Michiru, her eyes staring almost wistfully at the picture of the girl in the newspaper.

"She always had a talent for finding herself in places she shouldn't be. Why don't we go check it out sometime. See our Princess for ourselves?" Michiru spoke again, and it seemed as though she was reminiscing on days long past.

Haruka smiled at Michiru and spoke her voice warm,

"I think…that sounds like a great idea, Michiru. After all, who knows what kind of trouble she'll find herself in next."

It fell quiet and the two women's minds were occupied by thoughts of a lover that they had not seen for far too long, and which soon they would finally see again.
