Chapter 30: Realm of the God's
"If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down." -Mary Pickford
Unknown
"I can't hear anything… I can't smell anything…" Link says to himself, floating in a black void. "I can't even feel anything close by… what can I do…? Is this…what oblivion is…? I remember…I left everyone… I lost…everything… I'm sorry everyone…I can't protect you anymore… I'm so sorry…"
"Open your eyes…"
"What? Who said that…? Is that Zelda? No…but it sounds…familiar."
"Open your eyes…"
"Why? What do you want me to see…? What if all I'll see is darkness and nothing else…? I don't want that…"
"Open your eyes…"
After a brief moment of hesitation, Link at long last complies though he feels completely nervous. He slowly opens his eyes…and sees a blue sky. Just as quickly, he no longer feels like he's floating and can feel grass on his back, along with the sounds of birds chirping and a river flowing nearby. Sitting up and then getting to his knees, Link looks around in astonishment. "What is this? Wait, where is this?" Before he questions this further, Link looks down and sees that he's wearing his Champion's Tunic again. "What? How?"
"Follow…"
Again, that voice, so calm and gentle, calls out to Link. Even though he cannot comprehend it all, he decides to follow the voice through this wooded area. Walking through this unknown woodland, Link notices that the voice is accompanied by a sound that could only be described as a shimmer, a sound he has heard before but could not place it. Eventually, the voice stops and is replaced by what sounds like a distant harp and a woman singing. Finally, Link works his way through some long grass and comes across a grove; where there is green grass, flowers of many colors, a clear pond and several woodland animals peacefully look on to the same place; a woman wearing a turquoise sleeveless dress, golden armbands and a tiara, a necklace with three crescent moons connected at the curves that each hold a blue gem, fair skin and long blue hair sitting on a stump who was playing a harp while singing in a voice that could only be described as angelic.
Soft lullaby
Song of the sky
Pour down your Wisdom
Down upon us
Goddesses cry
Live and don't lie
Give us strength to live
In your grand world
Love of the blue
Love of Nayru
Goddess of Wisdom
Goddess of Love
While Link was entranced by this woman's voice, he snaps out of it upon seeing what was in front of her; the still decayed Goddess Sword. As he slowly walks over to it, the woman stops singing.
"Ah, I was wondering when you would appear." The woman states in a gentle tone before standing up and turning around to face Link. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Link."
"You know my name?" Link asks in surprise.
"Be not afraid, child. For you stand on holy ground."
"But Miss, where is this? Where am I? What has happened to me?"
"I know you have many questions, but you must relax yourself. You have come a long way from Hyrule and your fall has indeed come to pass.
"My fall?" Link asks before his eyes widen in realization. "…I died. That's the truth, isn't it?"
"Please, take a seat." The woman sits back down on the stump and pats the empty spot, beckoning Link to join her. After a brief period, Link sits down beside her. "I am sorry, but what you say is true; you are no longer part of Hyrule."
"Then, this is the afterlife?"
"Yes. But, in your case, yes and no."
"Yes and no? I don't understand…"
"Link, we have been waiting for you for many, many eons. It was ordained that you would arrive to us…in the Realm of the God's." The woman explained.
"The Realm of the God's. This is their home?" Link asks incredulously.
"Yes. This is my home."
"Then you're…a Goddess?" Link asks and the woman responds with a slight nod. Before Link can ask further, he looks at her necklace once again and finally realizes what the symbol actually is. "…Nayru."
"You know." The woman, revealed to none other than the Goddess Nayru, smiles as she confirms him and places a hand over his. While Link smiles in turn, it immediately sours and he stands up abruptly, startling her. "L-Link?"
"Nayru, Your Grace! Forgive my impoliteness!" Link hurriedly states before kneeling down in reverence to Nayru.
"No, no. That's not necessary." Nayru brings her hands up, wanting Link to not bow to her. "Please, stand up now."
"I should not have spoken to you so casually. I even put my hand on you, I am deeply sorry, Your Grace."
"Please, just stand up already…" Nayru, now with flushed cheeks, asks. "And that was my hand, not yours."
"Goddess Nayru, I will do what I must to correct this affront-"
"GET UP." Link is struck by a rod to the back of his knee and then to the back of his head by another person, forcing him to stand up.
"Ow! Hey, what's the big idea-" Link looks behind him and finds the one who struck him; another young woman with a red sleeveless bodysuit that cuts off at her ankles, red sandals, a light purple-pink scarf trailing behind her, gold armbands and tiara, a necklace that holds three waves with two red gems at the northeastern and southwestern ends of them, a white rod with four gold indentations that represent the seasons, tan skin and long flowing orange-red hair in a high ponytail.
"We're not that polite around here, darling. Besides, you're embarrassing Nayru…and me."
"Wait, then you're-"
"Din, Goddess of Power. Yes." The woman, now revealed to be the Goddess Din, states before aiming the rod at Link's chin. "Bend one knee, and I will hit you."
"Oh Din, don't be so uncouth." Nayru stands up to address her fellow Goddess. "Hasn't he been hurt enough?"
"Not nearly enough, it seems." Din responds, hanging the rod over her shoulder like a drill instructor.
"Din! Nayru!" Another voice calls out to the two from a small distance away before coming out from behind a tree; a young woman wearing a dark green sleeveless dress, golden armbands and tiara, a necklace with two golden crescent moon shapes in a concentric pattern with a green gem, a book in her left hand, fair skin and long green hair in a pair of pigtails. "What's all the ruckus about? I could hear you all the way over there."
"Ah, Farore. Nothing to fret over; just Din being her usual self again." Nayru explained.
"Well, if he wasn't so finicky, then I wouldn't have had to smack him around a bit." Din retorts in an aloof tone.
"And who is this he that you're both talking about?" Farore asks, looking past her fellow Goddesses to see Link, much to her surprise. "Is that…?"
"Yes."
"Yep."
"H-Hello, Goddesses Farore. It's nice to meet you." Link greets Farore, a little uncomfortable due to her intense staring.
"…IT'S YOU!" Farore gleefully cups his face before twirling with Link. "It's you and you're here!"
"Yes, yes; I'm here…" Link confirms past his squeezed face and quickly forming dizziness. "What is this about?"
"Oh! That's right." Farore stops twirling with Link and lets him go; joining the other Goddesses while the latter falls to the ground. "Well, how do we go about this?"
"Well, I was in the middle of telling him before he decided to kneel in front of me. Goodness, my face still feels hot…" Nayru comments, feeling her cheeks.
"I was thinking of maybe doing an interpretive dance, conjuring images with my flames." Din adds.
"Uh, excuse me?" Link, having gotten up off the ground, raises his hand to get their attention.
"Honestly, maybe if we sit him down and read it all to him, then it would be even easier." Farore adds, bringing up her book.
"Easier, yes. Boring, most definitely." Din states, poking Farore's book with her rod.
"Din, come now; you know that isn't polite." Nayru states in an almost reprimanding tone.
"Excuse me." Link raises his voice slightly.
"And you think you writhing around like a cuccoo is any better?" Farore condescendingly states.
"Certainly more engaging than boring someone to tears." Din snaps back.
"I truly think that a song would be more soothing to the ears." Nayru comments, trying to diffuse the tension. But, after some more back and forth, Link has had enough.
"WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME; WHAT IS GOING ON?!"
The three Goddesses stop their chatter and look at Link in surprise over his outburst.
"Look, I'm sorry, but this is all just a little too overwhelming for me; I was in the middle of a fight against these monstrosities from another world plus another one that was locked away for 10,0000 years, I lost so much in the last fight and now…I'm here. Please, what is it that I'm meant to do here? Tell me."
Pausing briefly at Link's plight, Nayru is the first to speak, smiling gently.
"Of course, how thoughtless of us; we were so caught up in this fated meeting, that we neglected our duties. Remember, she was meant to speak with him."
"Ah, that's right, isn't it?" Farore sheepishly comments.
"Oh, alright. She is the one who this circles around anyway." Din adds.
"She? Who is that?"
"You will see. Come along with us and take your sword with you." Nayru instructs as she gathers with the others at the end of a path, waiting for Link. Though confused by this, he quickly picks up the Goddess Sword, looking over its decayed state briefly before walking off towards the Goddesses.
While walking through a field of flowers, Link decides to speak.
"You know, I never in my life thought I would ever meet the Three Golden Goddesses."
"Oh? Well, I am also happy to meet you as well." Nayru kindly states.
"Personally, I thought you'd be taller." Din adds.
"We've been waiting for so long for you to arrive, it's an honor." Farore states as well.
"But, I'll be honest; you're not at all what I was expecting."
"In what way?" Nayru asks.
"Well, I don't mean any disrespect, but I thought I'd be speaking to you in a more reverent tone." Link explains.
"Ah, you mean like this?" Din walks over to Link and slings her arm over his shoulder. "Come, my child; our paths were fated to cross. For your arrival has been expected for many a winter moon. Drink and eat your fill, for you are our most honored guest. And as the people who raised you would say…are you kidding?" Din quickly drops her façade and rejoins the others, who did find enjoyment in her act.
"Anyway, I know you must have a lot that's on your mind, but all will be made clear." Farore confirms as they reach their destination; a massive white temple. "And here we are."
"Go on, we will follow behind you this time." Din states.
"It's ok, you are the one she is waiting for after all." Nayru adds, placing a hand on Link's shoulder to beckon him inside.
"Go…" The voice from earlier once again speaks, only now it sounded even closer, surprising Link. Regardless, He pushes the massive doors open and enters. Inside the temple, he finds statues and paintings of many green clad people, each holding the Master Sword in their hands. While walking and observing them, Link finds that they feel familiar; not as if he were looking at different people, but rather as if he were looking at…a mirror. Reaching the end of the temple, a large chamber without a roof to let the sunshine inside, Link spots several statues of young woman circling said chamber with their eyes closed and hands clasped in prayer; the majority of which are dressed in royal attire.
"What…is this place?" Link whispers.
"Take the sword in your hand, Hero."
Turning around, Link sees the Goddesses having spoken to him in unison; Din standing in the center while Nayru and Farore stand to her right and left respectively.
"Place the sacred blade in the pedestal that lies before you."
Slowly turning back around, Link sees the pedestal at his feet; slowly holding the Goddess Sword downward, he places it inside as it resounds through the chamber. After a moment of tense silence, the sun shines ever so brightly, covering the chamber in a holy light. As the rays settle down and Link's eyes adjust to it, he is left speechless by what, or rather who, appears; a beautiful woman wearing a white dress, long flowing blonde hair, glass purple bracelets and sandals, white angel-like wings and a headdress that holds three white gems across her forehead. This woman floats down and gently steps onto the ground, opening her deep blue eyes to Link. "Welcome, Hero."
"I don't believe it…Goddess Hylia." Link states in wonder before kneeling in front of her.
"Rise, my Hero. There is much to discuss." Hylia states in a gentle but firm tone.
Standing up, Link looks Hylia in the eye. "Of course, what do you wish to tell me?"
"Zelda; she is in grave danger…as is our entire realm."
"I don't understand; in what way, Your Grace?"
"First, are you familiar with the Era of the Sky?"
"Yes; the point in time of our history before Hyrule came to be. The once known Hero of the Sky, after going through life and limb to save his beloved, the Sky Maiden, defeated the Demon King Demise." Link answered in detail.
"Correct. And what can you tell me about the Sky Maiden?"
"Well, she was born on the floating land mass called Skyloft, where she was brought down to the surface by evil forces in an effort to restore Demise. Now that I think about, she was…she was you." Link's eyes widen in realization. "Wait, how is this possible; we were told you were reborn as a human, the Sky Maiden, into the world. So, how are you standing before me?"
"There is no mistake; I gave up my divine form to be reborn as a human. But, there is much more afterwards." Hylia states before bringing up her hand, making a silhouette of a young woman with her magic. "When the time of the Sky Maiden passed, my soul returned to this realm and I arose as Hylia once more. However, in all of my careful planning for Demise's eventual return to the land, something I never would have imagined came to pass; though I returned to the Realm of the God's, a small fragment of my essence remained on the earth." The silhouette disappears and a tiny ball of light took its place, moving into the silhouette of a baby. "That fragment bound itself to the Sky Maiden's next life, and then the next, and the next and so on; growing in strength as time goes on." The ball of light goes through several other silhouettes of young women, until it stops at the familiar form of Zelda.
"What does this mean?" Link asks, surprised by this information.
"It means that I was connected to all of them, now I am connected to your Princess Zelda. My soul fragment grows with all of them and carries on to the next. That is why she is so powerful…but she is also at her most vulnerable. That vile creature, Ganondorf, gained the knowledge of this in the past and wishes to slay her with his Malice. Hero, Zelda and I are connected through that soul fragment; if Ganondorf succeeds in his evil quest, his Malice will enter the Realm through it and destroy everything, devastating the balance of Hyrule and ending the God's forever…" The ball of light withers into fragments of Malice, spilling from Hylia's hand.
As Hylia concludes her explanation, Link grows cold at this information; all this time, he had assumed that Zelda was the current reincarnation of the Goddess. Now, he has learned that the truth is so much more than that alone. Was that what she wanted to tell him back at Gerudo Town?
Flashback
"Zelda? What is it?"
"Listen Link, there's something I've got to tell you; I didn't mean to keep it from you, but I thought it would've been better to just leave it on a need to know basis. But, now I realize that I should've told you in the first place." Zelda begins to buckle as she tries to tell Link her secret. "What you need to know is-"
"Stop." Link holds his hand up to not let Zelda continue. "It's alright. If you didn't tell me whatever it was you wanted to say, then you must have a good reason for hiding it." Link grabs her hands before continuing. "I trust you; when you're finally ready to tell me everything, I'll be more than willing to listen."
"Does she know?" Link asks, clearly distressed.
"The knowledge of our connection is given to her and her ancestors through dreams when she is in mid adolescence. She is more than aware of it." Hylia answers.
At this answer, Link sits down at the steps leading up to the chamber; the weight of everything catching up to him. "I was supposed to be the one to protect her from every threat…turns out that I ended up being one of them." Link states in sadness, bringing up his now nonexistent Hypermode. "And she believed in me…she never stopped believing in me. I did this; I put myself here. No one else is to blame…but me." As Link laments everything, the Goddesses observe him in silence. Looking at his palms, Link clenches his fists before standing up to address Hylia. "Your Grace, I beg you; take me back to Hyrule. I know I am no longer part of the living but if there is any way you can send me back to stop not just Ganondorf, but also that monster from the sky, then I need you to do that. Once I stop them, I will gladly return here." As Link finishes, he drops to his knees before lowering himself further to Hylia. "Just please, don't let Zelda; don't let all of Hyrule suffer…"
Calmly, Hylia walks over to Link, kneels down and brings him up to her eye level, smiling gently at him. "My Hero, the door to Hyrule is not closed to you."
"It isn't…?"
"No, for you are in the balance between life and death." Hylia outstretches her right hand outward and an amber crystal appears…holding Link's damaged and battered body, leaving him in disbelief.
"But…how? I'm standing right here!"
"Your physical form and spiritual form have been separated. Your physical form has been damaged greatly and your spiritual form only now was able to be separated and awakened…four months later."
"Four months?" Link asks in shock. "Why? Why so long-"
"I am sorry, my Hero; your body suffered grievous injuries, both inside and out. Piecing your spirit back together was yet another hurdle for us; the Great Poison did that to you." Hylia explained and it dawned on Link; the Phazon made him lose himself all those times, splitting his soul apart. Walking over to the crystal, Link places a hand on it and laments the state that his body is in, knowing full well that he's the one responsible for it. "My Hero, before you can even consider returning to Hyrule, you must restore yourself. This will be difficult and you may stumble, but I ask you; will you stand before all that comes your way?"
Standing in front of the crystal, Link contemplates these words before balling up his fist in determination, turning around to face Hylia and the three Goddesses. "What must I do?"
Looking at Link's determined face, Hylia smiles softly before turning to the decayed Goddess Sword. "First, you need this." With a flick of her wrist, Hylia covers the sword in a divine light, restoring the Goddess Sword and purifying it of Malice. "Now, it is time."
"Yes, Your Grace."
"Wait, that voice…" Before Link can marvel at the Goddess Swords purification, he brings attention to the soft voice that he heard not too long ago. From the Goddess Sword, a lavender-white ball of light emerges and forms a feminine figure with a purple gown that has two yellow parallel lines, a turquoise diamond shaped gem below her neck, black stocking with green diamond patterns, two wing like arms of purple and blue colors and a head and short hair that look like an almost metallic blue. Floating down gently, the being bows down to Hylia before speaking in an almost echoing voice.
"It is an honor to see you again, Your Grace."
"Fi, it has been so long." Hylia responds to the being now known as Fi.
"Fi? Then, you're…" Link walks over to Fi and immediately recognizes what she is.
"I calculate a 100% probability that you are familiar with me as the Spirit of the Sword. You are correct, Master Link."
"Master?"
"Yes; you wield the Goddess Sword, once known as the Master Sword, therefore I recognize you as my master."
"She will guide you on your journey." Hylia declares. "You must now go to the temple to the east of this place; there you will meet the one to reveal more truths to you."
"But, Your Grace, can you not tell me instead?" Link asks.
"He will not only tell you, but he will show you. Also, only he can show you the way to restore your body and everything you have lost." Hylia brings her hand up and another doorway opens up, revealing a building in the distance. "Your journey begins there."
"Master, I am ready when you are." Fi states plainly, levitating to Link's right side.
"Hold on, I'll go with them." Farore rushes over to join Link and Fi.
"Goddess Farore?"
"Oh, just Farore is fine. Besides, I want to go with you to see if he is in a good mood."
"Do not be afraid, Link; you will prevail over this." Nayru kindly states.
"We'll see you when it's over. Good luck to you." Din adds, patting Link's shoulder.
With a nod to them, Link turns around and faces the exit. "I'm ready."
"Yes Master."
"Goody! Then let's go." Farore claps her hands in glee before leading the two out.
"You do know that he has a long way to go, right?" Din asks, turning her gaze to Hylia.
"I'm worried for him; can he truly regain that drive he always had?" Nayru adds, bring her hands up in prayer.
"He will; he must." Hylia states. "Maybe…he can save Daemon as well…"
Walking through the realm, Farore leads Link to a building that seems completely out of the ordinary, given what was already seen; an observatory like building with intricate designs that he could not identify.
"Wow..." Link marvels at the strange architecture.
"Yeah, it kind of clashes with the rest of the realm, don't you think?" Farore derisively states.
"Master, this building is-"
"Shh, shh! Don't spoil the surprise." Farore quickly hushes Fi. "Let's go." Farore grabs Link by the arm and leads him through the building doors, which open with a low rumbling. Once inside, Link is left speechless by the interior; machinery that rivals even Sheikah technology in intricacy as well as murals depicting many landscapes that he has never seen before, yet they seem...familiar.
"What...is this place?"
"Oh, trust me; the man who can answer all of your questions is just through those doors." Farore answers with a smile. Deeper in, they spot a black robed individual facing away from them, creating many other murals with a flick of his wrist, doing the same with others while completed murals are sent away with small robotic beings. Farore and Link stop at the entrance of the chamber, standing in front of an emblem that Link scarcely remembers seeing not too long ago... "Alright, you wait here while talk to him, he's a bit of a stickler." Farore whispers to Link before leaving him behind to wait, the latter of which reluctantly agrees. "Hello, old friend! It's been a while since we last spoke, how have you been?" She happily greets the individual, who only continues his work. "Anyway, I have a guest for you-"
"I am in no mood to entertain guests, Goddess. Leave." The individual, with the gruff voice of an elder, dismissively waves his hand at Farore while ignoring anything she has to say.
"Oh, don't be like that." Farore comments with a pout and her hands on her hips. "He came a long way just to meet you!"
"Tell him he has wasted his time. Leave me to my work."
"You're such a grouch! This is why you and Din never got along and Nayru is scared of you! The only one you ever speak cordially to is Hylia, how is that fair?!"
"Farore, stop pestering me."
After a bit more back and forth between the two, Link finally loses patience. "This is a waste of my time! Lady Farore, can this guy help me or not?!" He crosses the emblem on the ground, earning a slight gasp from the individual who slightly turns his head.
Farore rushes to Link to halt his progress. "Link, please; I'm getting through to him."
"No disrespect, Your Grace, but while I wait here, my home is in chaos! I have to get back there!" Link raises his voice in frustration. "I have to get back to-"
"Zelda Nohansen Hyrule." The individual cuts in, finishing Link's sentence. Link calms down and is left speechless by the individual's knowledge.
"…You know that name?"
"And yours; Link, son of Leiden." The individual comments, much to Link's shock over knowing his name, before turning around.
"Who are you?" Link asks in bewilderment. The individual walks over to Link, showing himself to be taller than previously thought. He then further surprises Link by spreading a pair of black wings from his back and pulls down his hood, showing an intricate headdress along with a crow like face.
"I have been expecting you. I am Dryn; Chozo scientist."
"You're...a Chozo?" Link asks, now overwhelmed with this knowledge.
"I told you that you'd want to speak with him." Farore says, smiling as she does so. She then looks at Dryn and nods as he does the same. "I'll leave the three of you alone. Good luck, Link."
Farore turns into a green flame and flies away. Now alone, Dryn focuses all of his attention on Link.
"I need to ask; how can you help me?"
"I have been here since the Era of the Sky. Since Hylia put her plan into action, I have stayed within this realm; look around you." Dryn waves his arm slowly as the murals move around the ceiling. "I have seen every hero before you; The Hero of the Goddess, Hero of Time, Hero of Twilight and many others. I have only seen from afar and recorded everything they have accomplished, never once interfering. But, there was one, one I have seen as requiring my aid. Link..." A mural moves in front of Link, depicting himself holding the Master Sword with the landscape of Hyrule behind him. "I have been waiting for you."
"Me? But, why me?" Link asks incredulously.
"Search your memories; your time in the Forgotten Temple. That emblem you wear on your chest is the proof." Dryn points to Link's chest and sure enough, the emblem appears. "I know of every Hero that has come and gone through the ages. I foresaw that you would fall and added this failsafe to bring you here to us."
"When did I get this? I would have known, surely."
"Can you not think of any moment in the Forgotten Temple?"
Link tries to piece together the whole time he, Zelda and Samus were inside, until finally…
Flashback, the Forgotten Temple's Underground Arena
"No, I agree. We've come so far; let's see this 'lost history'." Link affirms and the three move to enter the last gate. From behind, the Torizo's petrified heads eyes glow green once more and shoots a beam of the same color at Link. "Whoa!" Link exclaims and immediately turns around.
"What's wrong?!" Zelda turns around, drawing her rapier and Samus follows her lead by aiming at the center of the chamber.
"Something hit me."
"Let me see." Samus scans Link's back, but can find no trace of damage. "There's nothing there."
"I swear I felt something hit my back…"
"Perhaps the adrenaline hasn't worn off and you're still on edge?" Zelda states, trying to come up with an explanation.
"Maybe…" Link looks back at the remains of the Torizo, which are completely immobile, still suspicious of what he felt.
"Link, let's get going." Samus walks over and shakes Link's arm to get him to refocus.
"Yeah…" Link regroups with his comrades and walks off with them. Unbeknownst to any of them, Link's back glows softly; an emblem with a light blue color, consisting of a pattern that was mandala like. The outer pieces formed a big circle with rectangular shapes protruding into the area, and the inner circle was much the same but with subtle little differences; the pieces were not shaped geometrically, but it formed a perfect circle nonetheless. The emblem then disappears into his back, leaving no evidence of its existence…
"That feeling…" Link whispers in realization.
"Yes." Dryn confirms. "That emblem has allowed you to come to this realm. As well as your second chance at life."
"His words are true, Master; this knowledge is in my memory as it has awakened due to his presence." Fi adds.
"Then…you can send me back?"
"That is for you to decide. I simply show you the ways, Fi is your means of accessing them and only you can decide if you wish to see it through."
"I will. I won't stop until I get back to Hyrule, that I promise." Link states in confidence.
Dryn simply nods before reorganizing the tablets around the chamber. "Then you must first learn the truth of 10,000 years ago."
"10,000 years ago? Ah, that event that Ganondorf talked about-"
"That was not Ganondorf." Dryn cuts Link off before he can finish.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me; that is not Ganondorf."
"What do you mean? If you say that wasn't Ganondorf, then what was I fighting?"
"Master, a visual aid would be more effective then mere speech. I suggest you hold all questions until the end of it." Fi cuts in.
"That being said, are you ready?" Dryn asks as several slabs gravitate around him.
"…Yes. Show me." Link answers, regardless of what he may learn.
"Very well." Without another word, Dryn has the tablets, which now depict many landscapes, circle Link and Fi; gaining speed as they do so. "Fi, it is your turn now."
"Yes, Lord Dryn." Acknowledging Dryn, Fi begins ballet dancing around Link, gaining a bluish glow as she does so. While Link is confused by all of this, Fi's dance ends with her floating above Link, spinning like a cyclone as the blue energy escapes her and enters the tablets, forming a wide ring around them, much to Link's astonishment. As the ring disappears, Link notices that the landscape has changed significantly as Dryn and the observatory have disappeared.
"Is this…Hyrule?"
To be continued
