Chapter 2:
Fangs of the Mad Dog
After the incident in the forest, Yukikaze took a liking to her older adoptive brother, Kaiser, who in turn had taken upon himself to spoiling her and calling her Yuki-chan. As they played around the mansion grounds outside and videogames at home, Kaiser would always let Yukikaze win as he felt the instinctual need to protect her smile as a big brother.
Yukikaze was an energetic and upbeat girl with tsundere tendencies. She was surprisingly caring towards Kaiser whenever he had nightmares or when others would pick on him for being an outsider, this often cause her to being labeled a "Bro-con" from time to time due to him spoiling her. Yukikaze would also tell him that "Big Brothers must do whatever their little sisters tell them to do." as she became more boastful and having an attitude that hated to lose to others which developed into her having a bratty attitude around her big brother.
During his stay with the Mizuki Family, Kaiser met with childhood friends of Yukikaze, Rinko Akiyama, and Tatsuro Akiyama. They were apart of the Akiyama Clan, who were close with the Mizuki family, as the two had a long history of cooperation with one another, with the Akiyama clan acting as protectors to the Mizuki Clan. Yukikaze and Tatsuro were of the same age, with Kaiser being a year older than Rinko as they were always together during their childhood.
Rinko was a very smart and serious girl for her age, as she always managed to keep Yukikaze in check, while Tatsuro had a very curious and cheerful personality that made it easy for him to get along with others. Kaiser, on the other hand, had kept to himself and was a shy introvert, as he made it his goal to push others away and keep conflicts to a bare minimum, as there were times when they all played together with Kaiser standing to the side and watching them play without him as he felt that he would just get in the way of Yukikaze's happiness. The young boy was insecure, as he knew he had problems and issues with his temper.
After the incident with the Orc, Kaiser's nightmares continue to plague him at night, but what really scared the young boy was how easily violence came to him. Kaiser knew something was wrong with him when he got into fights with other children in Gosha Village or with Rinko, as he didn't hesitate to fight back, shy away from confrontation, or even flinch in the presence of violence. The boy contemplated as to how he should feel or why he was the way he was, but what alerted Kaiser was the look of fear Rinko, Tatsuro had, and most importantly, the look of utter apprehension his little sister Yukikaze gave whenever shocking happened in front of them. It was then that Kaiser understood that he was different than the other children and that he felt no such hesitation. He found this out when he fought the local bully and his lackeys when they were picking on his little sister by taking away her hair ribbons.
Yukikaze came to him one day crying and covered in mud as her favorite hair ribbons were missing. Kaiser felt his blood turn to ice when Yukikaze told him that some of the local kids found out that Kaiser was an Outsider and that he wasn't even of Taimanin blood. This angered Kaiser as he couldn't understand what was wrong with him being an Outsider as he was just as human as everyone else in the village, but none of that mattered as Kaiser decided to stand up for his little sister as all big brothers should, and it was so that Kaiser set out to fix this problem.
Kaiser set out to find the bullies, as he found out from his little sister that it was Yoguro Yakazami of the Yakazami Clan and that him and his goons were in the Virgin Forest, the last location she knew they were at. Kaiser left and told his sister to wait for him back home, as he promised he would come back.
Yoguro Yakazami was the heir of the Yakazami clan, who were a clan of some significance, but unlike the Igawa clan or Fuma clan, they did not have any powerful bloodline Ninja Arts, nor were they influential like the Akiyama clan or Yatsu clan with years of history and culture, and unlike the Mizuki clan, who had both influence and powerful, they were considered a small clan. What they did have, however, was the support of the Traditionalists, who were followers of the old ways that distrusted those who were not of Japanese or Taimanin descent. So when the young heir had heard that their rival clan, the Mizuki clan, had taken in an Outsider, the boy saw it as an opportunity to knock them down a peg. Yoguro would show the other kids that his clan would be the ones to uphold the name of the Taimanin as well as show this Outsider that he was not welcome among them.
Kaiser had finally arrived at the forest training grounds and saw Yoguro bragging to his lackey's and other children how he made the heiress of the powerful Mizuki clan kneel before him. The boy laughed as he told everyone that the Outsider was probably too afraid to face him and was most likely hiding in fear of him. This made Kaiser's blood boil as he was slowly losing his temper.
A loud voice called out to Yoguro as he turned around to see the Kaiser glaring daggers at him. It was then that Kaiser introduced himself and gave Yoguro an ultimatum: Give back his little sister's hair ribbons and apologize, or...he would make him. Yoguro laughed at Kaiser's demands and insulted him by calling him a Stray Mutt and telling Kaiser that it was his fault that the Mizuki name was being dragged across the mud as he didn't belong here among the Taimanin. Kaiser didn't care for the insults coming out of the boy's mouth as he gave Yoguro one last warning to apologize and give his sister's ribbons back.
Yoguro sneered at Kaiser and said he would never apologize to some "Bastard-Born Stray Mutt, who's real parents abandoned him." This was finally the straw that broke the angry camel's back as Kaiser charged toward Yoguro, and his lackies as what came next was a brutal brawl. Kaiser was outnumbered and outmatched as some of the children received Taimanin training, but what they did not have was...overwhelming strength. After Kaiser had killed the Orc, he felt his body get stronger and faster as he was unaware of what was happening to his body at the time. This gave him reflexes and strength that far surpass those of a child his age, and it was with this strength that Kaiser was able to beat up most of the kids who tried to challenge him.
Kaiser's fist made its way to a boy's face as the blow knocked out the kid, and another tried to punch him in the gut. The strike did nothing as the goon of Yoguro fist felt like it was hitting wood before he was knocked out after being thrown into the ground. As Yoguro's underlings tried to dog-pile Kaiser, he stood unflinching and strong, as he was able to hold up their entire weight before throwing them around like ragdolls. As Kaiser fought off the bullies by himself, Yoguro stood dumbstruck and in fear as this Outsider and Stray Mutt, who was not even of Taimanin blood, was out fighting him and his underling by himself. Such things should not be possible for children of their age, but here was one that was able to do just that. Kaiser fought on, getting hurt more as the fight went on, as he knew that he couldn't fight all of Yoguro's underlings, and so it was then that one last push was needed for him to do what he promised to his little sister.
Kaiser, with his last bit of strength, charged past Yoguro goons as he made a beeline to Yoguro himself to deliver a brutal haymaker punch. Yoguro was paralyzed with fear as this... MAD DOG charged at him relentlessly as Kaiser threw one of the most painful punch Yoguro had ever received. The punch knocked the boy off his feet as he was sent flying across the training grounds. Kaiser stood defiantly as he made his way over to the crying boy, who, upon looking at his face, had his nose broken from the punch.
Kaiser stood over Yoguro as the boy looked at him in fear as he was glaring at the fallen boy, which made Yoguro realize that Kaiser was very pissed off. Kaiser raised his fist and began wailing on Yoguro as the boy raised his hands to defend himself. The other children looked in fear as they saw this normally quiet boy, who they thought was weak, held his own and even beat some Taimanin-trained children by himself. They stood in shock, unable to intervene as Yoguro cried and begged Kaiser to stop as the beatings continued. It was then that Kaiser knew something was seriously wrong with him, as he knew he was taking things too far, but his instincts... the urges and impulse to keep fighting—clouded his mind as his fists were soaked in blood as they were when he killed the orc. It was only due to Yoguro's underlings that they pulled Kaiser off of Yoguro, as the boy was left in a very bad state as his face was swollen and bruised, his nose was broken, and a tooth was missing.
Yoguro's lackey then started to gang up on Kaiser as they all started to kick and hit him while Kaiser tried to fight back with what little strength he had left. The cries of pain filled the forest as arms and legs bent at angles with bruises, signifying that they were broken as the Outsider fought tooth and nail. Kaiser was beaten and bruised with his lip split open and bleeding, his left eye was swollen shut, and his shirt was ripped, but even then... the young boy was not defeated.
The fighting was finally stopped when an instructor from Gosha Academy was investigating as to what was making so much noise in the forest training ground when he saw the children fighting. The instructor separated the kids, with Kaiser being pushed to the side as the instructor was checking on the injured.
The boy smiled to himself as had in his hand Yukikaze's hair ribbons after he had taken them while he was wailing on Yoguro. With his goals now complete, Kaiser turned around and was going to make his way back home to his family... until he was struck from the back of his head and was sent flying forward as he landed face down on the ground.
With the back of his bleeding, Kaiser's vision was spinning as he was barely able to remain conscious. The young boy turned around and saw an old man holding a cane stare down at him with hatred in his eye, as it seems that Kaiser had earned the ire of the Lord of Black Tides, Kuroshio Yakazami.
Lord Kuroshio was furious when he heard from one of his servants that his son was in a fight and was losing to the Outsider and Stray Mutt of the Mizuki's, Kaiser Wrath. When he arrived at the forest training grounds, he saw his son and the children of the branch families laying on the ground crying as the Mongrel Mutt stood in triumph. The man was not going to have an orphan child who wasn't even of Taimanin Blood besmirch his clan's name, and so it was then that Kuroshio struck the boy when his guard was down.
As Kaiser looked up at Kuroshio with a defiant look as the boy was not scared or even broken, he looked at Lord Kuroshio as a... fearless warrior. This surprised Kuroshi, as he had never seen a child either this brave or stupid to not coward away or cry out for mercy after being struck, but it did not matter as the head of the Yakazami clan would teach this Outsider boy his place.
Before Lord Yakazami could strike Kaiser again, a sudden flash of lighting appeared that was soon followed by a Clap of Thunder as Kuroshio was slapped in the face that sent him flying into a nearby tree. The person that stood before Kaiser was the Lord of the Thunder Clap and Head of the powerful and influential Mizuki clan, Kenichi Mizuki.
The Rumbling Thunder Horse had arrived.
Kenichi was beyond enraged when he saw his daughter hurt and covered in dirt as she explained to him that she was bullied by the Yakazami's heir and that her adopted big brother went out to find him. Kenichi knew what was going to happen and quickly made his way to where Kaiser would be, knowing that his son would most likely be hurt while trying to fight for his little sister's honor. Once again, Kenichi felt pride for his adopted son and knew that the boy wouldn't be looking for a fight unless he had a good reason to, and it just so seems that picking on his little sister was a good enough reason for him.
Kenichi took a deep breath as he calmed himself down and walked over to Kaiser to check to see if his son was alright.
Kaiser saw his father standing before him and felt ashamed that he had once again caused his adopted family so much trouble, but the boy was soon brought out of his self-deprecating thoughts when Kenichi kneeled down to Kaiser's level and gave him a hug. Kaiser felt his tears well in his eyes, as he was happy that his family still loved him, even if they were not bound by blood but by the compassion and love they had for each other.
Kuroshio was able to stand and saw his most despise rival, Kenichi, standing before him hugging the Outsider Mutt, but before the man could do anything, a sharp blade was resting against his throat as a cold chill ran down his back.
"If you wish to keep your blood unspilled, then I suggest you take your spawn and leave."
The voice was cold and ruthless as the feminine form enveloped in mist stood behind Kuroshio with a kunai held against his throat.
The Phantom of the Mist was not amused at the transgression that was committed towards her family.
While Kuroshio knew that while he might be able to take on Kenichi, he stood no chance against Shiranui, who was in the same league as Asagi Igawa, who was the strongest of the Taimanin. Kuroshio bit his tongue and knew he was outmatched, so more diplomatic approach was needed as he argued that this was all Kaiser's fault and that he was only trying to defend his son from the little psycho. Shiranui argued back that it was Yoguro who was at fault, as her daughter was the victim of his bullying, and that Kaiser was merely defending his little sister's honor.
As the adults argued, Kaiser saw Yukikaze and the Akiyama siblings approach him with looks of worry on his face. Yukikaze had tears in her eyes when she saw her big brother beaten up, but the boy just smiled as he struggled to walk up to her. Kaiser saw Yukikaze sad and wanted to wipe the tear off her face, and so that is what he did, even though his body was in pain. As the adrenaline wore off, he pushed himself for his little sister.
A gentle but dirtied hand touched Yukikaze's face as it wiped her tears away as once again her big brother got hurt for her sake, but one look at Kaiser's face showed that he was smiling as he grabbed her hand and placed her favorite hair ribbons in them. The girl cried as she hugged her big brother who was a hero in her eyes, the boy who face his fears and bear any pain for those who he loved and care for.
The incident would not get resolved between the two clans, thus the matter was then brought up to the Council of Elders who would decide as to who is to blame and what they should do with Kaiser Wrath. As the other children and adults soon discovered that Kaiser was an Outsider who had stumbled upon Gosha Village with no memories, he was ostracized and distrusted, with even some suggesting that they give him away to the Japanese government as a ward of the state, as they found it suspicious that some random child could find a village hidden away from any major highways and maps that was protected by ninjas and ninja beasts that surrounded it, all without being detected or discovered.
The Mizuki's, however, shot this proposal immediately, stating that the boy was already adopted into the Mizuki clan and that it was their moral obligation as arbiters of justice to take care of the lost child who had no family or relatives to speak of. Shiranui & Kenichi even took it a step further and implied that Kaiser had raw, untapped potential after he had killed an orc, albeit a weak one at that, with no training or even utilizing the Taima Particles. This was confirmed by the scientists and medical experts in Gosha Village that Kaiser had no Taimanin lineage nor any trace of demonic blood in his DNA, which was 100% pure human... but it did have an unknown foreign genetic marker in his blood that made the tests inconclusive. This, however, did not ease the minds of the more traditionalist of the clans, as they were letting a complete unknown Outsider into their ranks and base of operations. Regardless, the Mizuki clan used their vast influence to sway the opinion that Kaiser would remain in Gosha Village with them and would be trained to be Taimanin like the rest of them, and in return they would be solely responsible for the boy.
It was then that Kaiser understood early on that he was never one of them and would always be looked at with fear and misunderstanding, but this did not matter to him as he was content to remain with the Mizuki Family, who had given him a life he wanted, and that life was to be apart of a family.
When Kaiser had asked Kenichi what was wrong with him and if he could fix it? Kenichi was surprised at Kaiser's request, as the man was unsure why a child like Kaiser could already be desensitized to violence or bloodshed, unlike most adults. Kenichi tested this theory out when he took Kaiser to the Taiwan Crisis War Museum in a nearby town and was shocked to find the boy indifferent or even unbothered at the images or stories of those who had fought in that war. Kaiser explained to Kenichi that he had seen things like these in his nightmares, as well as telling him that killing was something natural like predators and prey. This made Kenichi worry for his young adoptive son's mental and emotional state, as no child should ever be this calm or unphased by human suffering.
As the two left the museum, Kenichi could not help but wonder if he should get Kaiser some professional help but halted that train of thought when he saw a small girl crying out for her parents. It was then that Kenichi saw the kindness and gentle nature of Kaiser when he helped a small girl who was crying find her parents. The small girl became attached to the boy until he and Kenichi found her parents, who look oddly... strange, but Kenichi paid no mind as he knew that they were just parents who were concerned for their lost child and nothing else.
Once the little girl reunited with her parents, she called out to Kaiser, saying, "It's been decided... you are mine now."
Kaiser gave a confused look as he tried to make sense as to what the little girl meant, but he shrugged his shoulders as Kenichi chuckled at his son's reaction.
Kenichi then realized that Kaiser must have been exposed to something terrible or traumatizing in his past that could've caused him to have amnesia as a coping mechanism in order to protect his young, fragile mind. Kenichi made Kaiser swear an oath to him that he would not tell anyone of his nightmares or embrace the violent impulses with in him.
Kaiser was confused as to why Kenichi was so worried about him when he was shown images of people dying or killing one another, as he figured this was something normal in day-to-day life; after all, the strong ruled over the weak, right?
When Rinko met Kaiser, she had tried to get to know him first, but Kaiser kept closing himself off from her and her younger brother, Tatsuro, who both wanted to try and be his friend. Kaiser, on the other hand, was an awkward child who had trouble with properly interacting with people due to him not understanding Japanese etiquette, and he knew it; thus, he avoided Rinko due to him not wanting to make his little sister Yukikaze upset with him.
This led to a misunderstanding between him and the Akiyama siblings, as Kaiser noticed how the Elders of the clan would look at him with disdain for being an Outsider. This made him weary of people who weren't his family, as he felt that Rinko was only trying to use him to get close to his little sister. He didn't want to lose what it was like to have a family, and thus he felt that he needed to protect Yukikaze from those who would use her or hurt her.
This misunderstanding would drive a wedge between the Akiyama's and Kaiser, who both only wanted what was best for the Mizuki family.
Kaiser had always been strong, even as a child, and he wanted to help his adoptive family, so he started to train in secret. That by the time he enrolled in Gosha Academy he considered stronger than most of the first year candidates, but he wanted to be even stronger in case anything ever happened to his family. As Kaiser got older, he got closer to his little sister and was barely able to tolerate the Akiyama's, who in return were barely able to tolerate him.
Kaiser became a hot topic around the village as word got out that he was an Outsider who killed an orc and fought with the Yoguro clan's heir without any formal training or before he could awaken his Ninja Art. This made him both the subject of envy and inspiration to many Taimanin, both young and old, as Kaiser entered Gosha Academy. He excelled at the practical exams and combat sparring sessions, as many instructors witnessed firsthand his strength as they were surprised that an Outsider without the ability to manipulate Taima Particles or having a Ninja Art could keep up with them. However, despite his success, Kaiser, with his short temper, would be the most vocal advocate for using brute force over talking. Kaiser's physical prowess and his skill in combat were highly respected in Gosha Academy, with Kenichi's training having given Kaiser a vast knowledge of martial arts, and he had used his body enhancement abilities to become a formidable fighter. Though Kaiser got into many fights, he wasn't afraid of being hurt and would stand up to the stronger Taimanin, causing him to be on the losing end of most of those battles. He was able to quickly recover from injuries and learn from his mistakes; this was the main reason why Kenichi kept him training. Kaiser was a very passionate fighter and would only stop when his opponent was completely defeated. This behavior did improve Kaiser's relationships with his senior peers somewhat, as they could respect the tenacity and stubbornness of needing to win through one's own strength. Kaiser's fighting style evolved into a mix of pure physical power and his enhanced speed as he became the dominant student in his year and eventually rose to become the top student of the academy that he was able to enter the "Rookie" rankings for the top 10 students of Gosha Academy when he was enrolled for the majority of the first year. He became the focus of the academy's elite students, as they all wanted to become his rival and test the strength of the Outsider. This, however, led to the mentality of using violence as a solution, which was what had gotten him in trouble with others in the past, and Kenichi believed that this way of thinking was only feeding into his rage and bloodlust.
As Kaiser got older, he started to become more outspoken, as his behavior was on the complete opposite end of Rinko's, as he was loud and aggressive while she was calm and collected. His big mouth caused a lot of trouble with him getting into fights every day with other students, causing him to get the nickname "Mad Dog." This made Kaiser an outcast amongst his peers, as he was considered an uncouth rogue with no regard for the traditions of the Taimanin Clans. Kaiser was always alone and was only ever seen with his adoptive sister and Tatsuro or with Rinko to train.
Kaiser would clash often with the student council or with Rinko due to their personalities, but they would in fact have some mutual respect for each other that had turned into grudging acceptance over the years. Kaiser never directly got along with everyone in Gosha Village, but it was mostly tolerated by the clans as they knew the Outsider was apart of the influential Mizuki Clan and thus stubbornly accepted working together with him.
Kenichi noticed Kaiser's behavior and helped Kaiser learn to control his anger as a Taimanin understood that violence was in their nature, but Kaiser was different. Kenichi would see that the most effective way for him to unleash his feelings of violence was through meditation and by making Kaiser meditate before a punching bag. This was an important aspect of his upbringing, as Kenichi was an experienced Taimanin himself and knew that sometimes the only way to deal with your own rage was to face it. Kaiser was often frustrated by these talks and was very resistant to his father's input, making it a constant battle between them, but Kenichi would make Kaiser go through various training programs, where he was instructed in mental control and mindfulness. This helped with Kaiser's anger management, as his first reaction was to lash out and hit until the problem went away. Kenichi would try to break this pattern by teaching Kaiser to not strike first and use his intelligence in combat. This led to constant arguments between Kenichi and Kaiser, with Kenichi realizing that Kaiser was a boy who needed something more than blood and destruction; he needed stability, structure, and guidance. So he decided to take him on a mission to build Kaiser's foundation as he saw his son gaining a sense of justice and righteousness. After a few missions with Kenichi, Kaiser realized that gaining control of his emotions made him maximize his talent for combat and reach his full potential, but also made him realize that violence was not the answer for everything.
Eventually, after several encounters, Kaiser would start to take the advice to heart and learn how to control his emotions and actions more effectively, making him a well-behaved and disciplined Taimanin. Kenichi would talk to his son about his frustration and his thirst for blood as he got his son to control his emotions and harness his violent tendencies into something constructive. Kaiser began to seek his own justice by himself giving him a purpose.
Kaiser over time became more focused on training rather than wanting to play around as he wanted to protect his new family at any cost, but this became even more prominent after his adoptive father, Kenichi, was killed during a mission. When his father died, Kaiser was only 15 years old, and the grief had been a turning point for him, as this hurt Kaiser deeply and made him grow up faster than he should have, as Kenichi was the pillar that had raised him and guided him. With him gone, Kaiser was lost without his presence in his life. It was then that he sought to fill his empty void with a new mission—to avenge his father and protect his adopted sibling and mother.
While Rinko and Tatsurou tried to comfort his little sister, Kaiser tried to comfort his mother, who started to neglect him and Yukikaze due to her grief over losing her beloved husband. Things got even worse for the Mizuki Family when Shiranui disappeared during a mission in Yomihara for a few months after security footage showed that she was ambushed by an unknown female slaver who tricked the veteran taimanin and knocked her out with some poison to drag Shiranui away.
This triggered a chain of events that led to Kaiser disobeying orders and going on a rampage in the city of Tokyo with his desire to protect his family becoming more powerful and his bloodlust remaining ever present as he held himself back from indulging it with a lingering reminder of his adoptive father's making Kaiser swear an oath to never embrace it.
Kaiser's past with the Mizuki family had a strong impact on his personality, as he was raised with the firm belief that Compassion and Justice would help overcome his anger. While Kaiser had gained some self-control, his temper still ran hot, and he could still lose control easily. However, this would also lead to him becoming more aware of his surroundings and learning more about himself. He had become a more complete human that was connected to his emotions more with his own desires and personality, but it didn't stop his thirst for vengeance and need to protect those he loved.
As Kaiser tried to find his mother in Tokyo, many obstacles' got in his way as he had to evade the government's special forces, corrupt government agents, gangsters, and even his own allies, all while looking for their own piece of him. Kaiser had faced many trials, from being arrested by corrupt authorities to almost killing his own allies if they stood in his way. Kaiser was unable to tell friend from foe or ally from enemy, but he always kept on track and continued to search for answers and who was responsible for his mother's disappearance. With no information to go by and no idea where his mother had been taken, Kaiser was left alone to look for clues and investigate the circumstances of Shiranui's kidnapping.
Through all the obstacles, Kaiser would meet many new people and allies along the way, some of which would give him insight into the world around him and change his perspective on many things. He would learn from a wide variety of people, from ex-taimanin to ex-soldiers and gangsters and even corrupt politicians, all who wanted to use him for their own agendas and schemes for their own gain.
From the constant stress, lack of clues, and having to avoid the Taimanin and Section Three's surveillance while being constantly on alert, it all began to wear Kaiser down mentally. His mind was at its breaking point and his body was fatigued from the unstop battle he had to endure. Kaiser knew that something needed to change as he had one of two options.
To either give up on his search for his adopted mother and uphold his ideals of the Taimanin that his father had made him swore for him to follow.
or...
To break his vows to his deceased father and become what he always was...a Mad Dog.
It was then that Kaiser finally made a choice to be ruthless, violent, and sometimes have a cold attitude when it came to killing, as he had no longer held back on his feelings for his bloodlust. Kaiser had his embraced violent nature and rage towards the injustice on demons as well as on the criminals and gangs who had infested Tokyo. The city was a dangerous place, but thanks to Kaiser's immense strength, speed, and power of will, he was able to make his way through the city destroying anything that stood in his way. Kaiser never stopped in his pursuit of his mother, as it gave him strength.
It was then that Kaiser targeted government officials and crime bosses that he found a clue to where his mother was being held. Kaiser was able to track down and locate his adoptive mother in a brothel called Under Eden while destroying half of the underground hell city in Tokyo, Yomihara. It was during this event that was later called "Dies Irea" or Days of Wrath that turned the loner and isolated boy into a vulgar, ruthless, killing machine as he wreaked havoc on the demons and thugs living there.
As Kaiser saved his mother from the clutches of the Under Eden brothel, he would have the attention of the media and the government as the world thought of him as an assassin or terrorist that rampaged through the streets of Tokyo. It was this incident that sparked a deep change within the Government and the Elders as they started to reconsider the role of violence and punishment in their organizations towards Kaiser.
After Kaiser brought back his mother to Gosha Village, the Elders and some of the other Taimanin clans arrested him for insubordination and for all the damages he caused as they interrogated him, held a trial, and sentenced Kaiser to a public execution as an example to others. It was during that time that Kaiser was finally able to rest and take time to reflect on his actions; he knew he had changed and became more calm and introspective. While Kaiser still retains his violent tendencies, he tries to keep them under control as he felt content that he was able to save his family, who had given him everything, as thought to himself if he had to become someone his adoptive father can be proud of.
It was on the day of Kaiser's that his adoptive mother had shown up after she awoken from her coma with a huge support of progressive clans that challenge the trial were a farce as the Council of Elders wanted to be rid of Kaiser and was prepared to use any methods, necessary, to achieve this. It was then that Shiranui would use all her influence and power, to demand that the trial would be thrown out and that Kaiser be given a second chance. Kaiser's life was saved due to his mother's intervention and influence as the current Head of the Mizuki clan, as well as other progressive supporters like the disgraced Fuuma Clan, the salwart Akiyama clan, the powerful Igawa clan, and many others.
The Elders rescinded their decree to have Kaiser executed as to avoid another civil war with in the Taimanin but after this experience it had made Kaiser very anti-authoritarian and has led to many incidents where he has openly challenged the Elders as he believes that the Taimanin should not a have to sacrifice it's people just to placate a corrupt Japanese Government that he had witness first hand, nor should humanity negotiate with the demons. He believed that an all-out war between mankind and demons is the only solution to solve the demon's incursion from the Dark World as well as protecting the Innocent.
The Japanese Government knew Kaiser was a liability to their influence, but he was also a boon as he was referred to being a one-man army that it kept the U.S.F and Chinese Union at bay. Kaiser was seen as the most controversial Taimanin, who had destroyed much of the city in his rage, and the "Mad Dog of Ruin" had taken on a mythical status within the criminal underworld. This has made Kaiser a target for many factions who have plans for the young man and only time will tell what destiny will unfold for the young man.
